Hey I'm hopefully moving to Canberra after Christmas. I'm currently unemployed but am moving for work and wont move in if i think i wont have money to support myself. I have a beautiful dog that i would love to have with me but she isn't a necessity as my mum is happy taking her. I am a smoker but will not smoke indoors. I'm not a party animal and am happy just doing my own thing but any other questions are welcome.
I require a place to stay when I am at work in the ACT. I am sick of paying for hotels and would like to have a bedroom in order to save mail and use the location as my address for postage and driver licence purposes. I will be visiting Canberra approximately once every fortnight for a period of around 3 nights. I am quiet, I run my own business and I love making new friends. You will find me in my room for the majority of my stay working on my computer - but I'd really appreciate some company as well. You won't see me much as I will be working strange hours however as I said, I will be staying for a maximum of 3 - 4 nights each fortnight (possibly not even that long). I look forward to getting to know you all and would appreciate any offers.
I am a young professional moving to Canberra early 2020 from NSW to start her career. I am a tidy, friendly homebody who loves animals, movies and food. Ideally, I am looking for 1-2 housemates close to Canberra City who are social and friendly. I am hoping to find housemates similar to myself who are happy to hang out but also understand that everyone needs quiet time. If you have a dog, that's an added bonus as I will be leaving my beloved dog back home with family.
I'm a student from Melbourne and I'm moving to Canberra to start a Masters of Archaeology. I enjoy lifting weights at the gym, spending as much time out in the sun as I can and I love a good feed. I'm looking for a place I can call home for about 2 years while I study, and perhaps with one or two other people to share household responsibilities with.
Moving across from New Zealand to work in bicycle wholesale. Ride bikes in my spare time and other ways to stay active. Have just finished a year living in the Netherlands and now moving to Canberra for a career job. University educated, non smoker, no baggage and easy going. Looking for a sociable flat to live, must be good people who want to be my first friends in Australia
Hello! My name is Zina. Ideally, I'm looking to share a place with one other roommate or two if I can have my own ensuite. I am clean and tidy and respect other peoples belongings and space, but also sociable and friendly. I'm looking to share a place with people who share my values in maintaining a tidy environment and who are conscious of not making loud noise at night (for example, throwing parties all the time or playing loud music).
Hey guys! My name is Lachlan and I am a 26 year old student looking for a granny flat or self-contained unit! The lease at my current share house in Fairfield is coming to an end soon and I would like to find a place ASAP! About me: I am a very warm and friendly person. I love talking and meeting new people and love to make others laugh. In my spare time I like to listen to music and exercise. I am studying psychology at ANU and do a lot of reading. I love cooking, playing guitar and making art in my spare time. Always up for a chat but also respectful of privacy/personal space around the house. I try to be a kind and considerate housemate, keep things clean and tidy, no loud noise after 10pm etc. Happy to pull my weight in chores and contribute in any way else I can :) I am a kind and considerate person who like to keep things clean and tidy around the house. Not into partying but enjoy travelling semi-often and would like a home-base where I can work on my own projects. I am happy to meet at your convenience :) Thank you! Lachlan
I'm an easygoing, low-maintenance individual that enjoys spending most of their spare time exploring the surrounding sights and scenes. I'm also neat and tidy and respect other people's spaces. Also enjoy cooking when I can. Moved from Sydney to Canberra for a new work position earlier this year and am looking for a new room to stay for 12 months although I'm happy to adjust where necessary.
I'm a 24-year old moving to Canberra from Adelaide in January for an APS grad job. I'm looking for a new home (room in an existing place or team-up) with social, respectful and easy-going housemates! I'm flexible on the move-in date, suburb, and number of housemates. I have been living in a share-house for several years so am well house-trained. I am generally out quite a bit in the evenings, but also enjoy getting to know my housemates and having relaxed nights in. I am friendly, easy-going, and respectful of privacy and space. My typical weekend is spent checking out bars, live music and brunch-spots, soaking up some vitty D, spending time with friends in the great outdoors, and watching AFL. If any like-minded people have a room or would like to team-up to find a place please feel free to shoot me a message!
I'm new to Canberra, and looking for a long term place to stay (6 to 12 months). I am a mehcanical Engineer and recently started a new job in Queanbeyan. I am social able, easy going, clean and tidy and sportive. Looking for team ups with like minded people to have a fun litttle community to live with.
I'm 22, moving from Brisbane to Canberra for a new job in government. I love reading, sport, a good brunch out (and the chance to explore new cafes, of which I'm hoping Canberra has many!). I've just finished up a dual degree while also working at an eco friendly store called Biome for 5 years, and am keen to move to Canberra, make some friends, and work hard. I enjoy having a good chat, but also like a bit of time to myself to recharge, so I reckon I could find a good balance with my fellow flatmates based on their needs as well as mine.
I'm coming to Canberra from Melbourne, leaving an academic career for a research job at Parliament House. That job starts on 6/1/20. I'm married, with a grown up family. My wife will likely come to stay weekends several times/year. I'm quiet, but not a recluse. I’m house trained, and am looking to be part of a well organised and tidy household. I go to bed fairly early, get up early. I like getting regular exercise - Pilates, yoga, etc. (In fact, I’m a recently qualified Pilates instructor.) I ride a bike. I like to go for long walks. I don't drink much, I eat simple/clean food.
My names Michael. Im a Young professional who will be joining APS in February and hoping to move to canberra in December. Im a quiet person who will like their personal space. - Im likely to stay with the place for a minimum of 18 months (I'm not an apartment jumper). - I'd have a car and would be willing to give you a lift to places if im also headed out. - I like a good chat, but im a very quiet person (you wont be hearing loud blaring music from my room disturbing you) - Id be down to clean with you or split the cost of a cleaner (whichever is your preference) - I've held numerous leadership positions throughout my career and university (as testament to my considerate personality) and would be very respectful to ensuring that we share a good relationship. - I never leave dirty dishes around and will take the initiative to bring out trash if its full. - I always pay rent on time. Hope this helps to illustrate that I would be a good roommate. Looking forward to your reply!
I'm Charlotte and I'll be moving from Adelaide to Canberra to start an APS grad program in January 2020. I definitely enjoy my own space a lot of the time but I'm hoping to find some social flatmates that are easygoing like myself! In my spare time I enjoy going out to eat and going to the odd festival. I also love to travel, and I love the beach - something I'll definitely be missing in Canberra. I'm a big fan of all animals, so if there's any pets in the house that's fine by me. I'm looking for a team-up or a room in a sharehouse or apartment with preferably 1-2 other housemates in the inner northern suburbs. I am also interested in any granny flats or studios.
Hello, I'm Ben. I consider myself to be a fairly regular 26 year old male. Love getting along with people and open minded. Canberra born and bred. Bit of a Jack of all trades. Trying to get back into keeping active after joining the public service. Do a bit of gaming (Won't chew up too much bandwidth though). I also enjoy a drink and being social, although I'm usually the quiet one in a group. Clean and tidy around the house especially in shared areas. More of a 'clean up after myself' type rather than 'everyone has their turn' but I'm flexible and will fit in with established practices. Not much of a cook but willing to learn. Will do my fair share of housework. Would love to find a place with flat mates that appreciate a really friendly vibe. Would prefer to have a 'trial period' but would love to find the right place to stay at for longer. Cheers,
