Hi future housemate(s)! We are currently looking for a nice house somewhere in the Inner North of Brisbane. It should be quiet but close to public transport, preferably have a gas stove and air-con. A garden and/or nice deck would be great as well. And we love timber floors and VJ boards. Depending on what comes up, we'd either like to live with another couple or just a single person. A little about us: Paul runs a home maintenance business and loves spending time out in the bush or creating things in his workshop. Sarah is a self-employed German tutor and enjoys meeting friends, museums and music. Both of us like watching movies, drinking coffee or wine, hiking, exploring and getting out of the city. We're not the kind of couple that you will always find together doing the same thing but we're quite independent. We also have a geriatric cat named Tom (seriously, he is 21!) who may or may not still be around when we're moving house. But not looking at getting another one after him. It would be great to find someone who is looking for a home and not just a house, appreciates the good things in life, is somewhat clean and knows how to run a house and simply enjoys living with other people. Our move-date is flexible and we're really just looking for the right place. Please get in contact if you think we could be a fit! Cheers, Sarah and Paul
Originally from NZ I'm easy-going, tidy and clean. I'm out and about most weekends and go out a couple of nights a week during the week whether that be visiting friends checking out locals bars and eateries or going to the movies. I'm a people-person and would prefer to live with flatmates who will eventually become my friends. I prefer not to have a cleaning roster and would prefer a flat where everyone just does their bit and chips in. I would also prefer my own bathroom and a need a place to park my car preferably under-cover.
I'm a 22 year old uni student, going into my final year of journalism and public relations. I'm a super friendly person and am always up for a chat but am super respectful of the other people I live with and also need my own privacy. I'm working casually at typo and also volunteer reading the news at 4ZZZ, hoping to get my own show this year! Because of this I'm looking to live anywhere between Kelvin Grove and Chermside(suburbs listed but anywhere else near the northern busway is fine) I'm a pretty social person but am not into going out all the time or having parties, though I do occasionally like to have friends over for pres or just a couple of drinks. Because I'm in my final year of uni I'm looking for somewhere to live for at least this year, and definitely need to live with people who will respect that I need my space and time for study as well. I'm a very clean person, always clean up after myself and often find myself doing other people's dishes just cause they're there. Usually will clean the entire house when I'm doing my own room. I'm experienced in sharehousing from small to large numbers, prefer to live with larger numbers but don't mind smaller places. I don't have any pets, but am more than happy to live with animals. I'm also interested in possibly doing a team up, potentially with my current housemate Julie, we have a whole house worth of furniture we can bring along!
All my friends are now married, so I'm seeking to share a unit/townhouse with one other person. Preferably two bathrooms and a carpark (although a place with ample street parking is also fine) - these are not a prerequisite however. Looking anywhere Brisbane Inner North (I have listed many example suburb options but not further North than Chermside). Looking to move now, as I have had to extend my lease a further two weeks to Feb 1st. I work at Eagle Farm so closer to there is ideal. I have all the gear required to setup a place (indoor/outdoor furniture, TV, kitchen stuff etc etc), so if you have a place for rent that is already kitted out (or nowhere for me to store) chances are it might be tough for us to manage. Unfortunately it seems many of the rooms listed for rent are also already kitted out. I have storage options available for some of my items but not all, so perhaps something could be negotiated there. Happy to meet up this week to discuss teamup possibilities and gauge suitability. My work is understanding with me needing to find a place to rent so anytime can be arranged. I work as a logistics manager for an IT company have just completed two degrees (Diploma of Graphic Design / Bachelor of Communication Design) in the past 2.5 years. Weekends I like to go to the beach / hiking / visiting friends. I would like to find someone who is open to the possibility doing a bit of meal sharing because I enjoy cooking for others more than myself and I appreciate that communal aspect of it. I like to have a couple of hours later in the weeknight evenings to myself to work on projects / wind down. Flexible with leasing options but would rather something 6months+ Cheers!
My name is Jorma Bushnell, I am a full time Primary School Teacher moving from the Gold Coast to Brisbane to work at Grovely State School. I am an easy going person, talkative and outgoing and like to keep my living space clean. Looking to live with someone of similar nature. Needing a place asap. Looking to move in by the end of this week.
My friend Dan and I are looking to team-up for a 3 or 4 bedroom place somewhere in the inner-city on the northside. Although we're pretty flexible on location. I'm a full time engineering and IT student at UQ and I also work part-time in Spring Hill/CBD. Dan and I live together already and he works part-time at an Aldi store. I have a 1 yr old black labrador called Indy. She's still very puppy like but doesn't get up to much trouble any more. We can fully furnish the new place so if you only have things to fill your bedroom that's fine with us. We also have a netflix to share on a 4k TV if that's your jam. We're looking to stay in a house with a yard ideally with floorboards to help keep things clean. Let us know if you're interested or have any other questions!
Hey! :) I'm Steph, I'm 28, I work full time and study part time, I'm pretty neat and like a clean and tidy house (as long as the main areas like kitchen and lounge etc are tidy I don't care about your bedroom lol mine is usually pretty messy but that's why there's a door.. to close it and forget about it... haha) :) I'm looking to live either the Northside (Nundah, Aspley, Kelvin Grove, Bridgeman Downs etc) or on the Southside (Springfield Lakes, Augustine Heights, Brookwater, Collingwood Park etc) BUT not until around April-ish. Ok... so I know a lot of people don't wanna live with a kid but honestly, its really no big deal at all. You can still have friends round etc, nothing would have to change i promise! lol :) My boy is almost 9, so he can pretty much look after himself lol He looooves playing xbox and would loooove to have an xbox buddy to play GTA with lol (also no baby daddy drama - not involved). We also have an indoor ragdoll cat named Alice. Shes like a dog and follows you around everywhere and waits at the door when u get home lol she actually loves dogs too, we used to have a beagle and theyd play fight and snuggle up together :) so cute! Anyhoo, I'm looking another person to get a house together, preferably a guy, for safety and i just tend to get along better with them. Obviously we will have to apply for houses so you'd clearly need to be approved on that to live there lol You also must be reliable and pay rent on time, respectful of privacy, the property and of other peoples things, work fulltime and have a stable income, funny, preferably single and around similar age. What is especially important is that you behave appropriately around my son. He needs a good male role model who knows how to respect women etc. I'd prefer a house rather than a unit. It'd be cool if it had a deck and nice yard and maybe even a pool !?! :D (u can be the pool boy lol) and undercover parking (lock up garage) would be ideal :) I have all the furniture already, big leather lounge, tv, dining table, fridge, washing machine, dryer, foxtel (priorities people!) lol and then plates cups blah blah blah :) you'd only need your bedroom stuff really :) I'd also be super keen for a few drinks on a friday or Saturday night to relax and unwind after a busy working week if you are :) I looooove cooking and literally make the best caramel tarts you'll ever eat (i have references for this lol), im pretty easy going, love a good laugh and have a very sarcastic sense of humour. So you'd definitely have to be funny, easy going, down to earth and be able to take a joke lol I love going to the drive in movies, bowling, to the park and the beach and would really love to get a puppy! So if you've already got a dog that's good with kids that'd be so awesome! Hope to hear from you soon :)
Hi guys/girls My names Con and I'm a 28 year old electrician. I work standard hours from Monday - Friday and usually have weekends off where I usually tend to head down to the coast if the weathers right. I'm very clean and always clean up after myself straight away. I respect the space of the people I live with and I'm also very considerate of people in the house.
Hi my name is Mel and I'm looking for a new place to call home from FEB 18th - no earlier. I'm pretty easy going and enjoy a good adventure but also love a lazy day on the couch watching TV. I enjoy getting away for the weekend to the beach, trying new restaurants and catching up with friends at a nice bar where I can actually hear the conversation, but I also love a good dance session. In regards to the place, preferably I'm looking for a female flat but will consider a mix. I'm looking for a place with a friendly environment where my housemates are easy to get along with. I enjoy a good cook up with housemates for dinner but appreciate having privacy and personal space in the home. I'm definitely not looking for party house but I do enjoy having a glass of wine or two on the weekends or after a long day. I always make a conscious effort to make the common areas neat and tidy and looking for the same in return. I work full time at a bank during the week days but I'm often away visiting friends so I'm only home half the time.
Hey I'm Jess and I'm a registered nurse working at RBWH. I come as a package deal with my lovely cockatiel Jeffery. He's super cute. I'd love to live somewhere that would be happy to have Jeffery fly around and do his thing, or otherwise be in a big rumpus style room/granny flat that has fly screens so the little lad won't get out. I'm very clean and tidy and love to have a good chat and a giggle, but also love my down time and respect that of others too. My party days are over so i'm looking for people who have a similar mind set - that doesn't count me out for a casual afternoon beverage every now and then though. I'm a friendly, healthy person who loves bush walks, cooking and to just generally be outdoors in the sun.
Hi, my name is Tom, I work full-time Monday - Friday. Hoping to find a place in Brisbane Northside to make it easier to commute to work. I'm friendly and extremely social, I have an open personality and am easy-going. I do enjoy my downtime though to write, read, watch TV / films (sci-fi buff), and game. I'm an extremely neat and clean person. I'm not a MasterChef in the kitchen, but I do like to cook / bake on occasion. Send me a message if you're after a great flatmate. Thanks! :]
Just looking for a neat place with chill roommates. I don't mind houses with pets either, but would prefer to live with females. I'm a 20 year old female who just graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Behavioural Science and is looking for full-time work. (I'm still able to pay rent and bond in the meantime). I'm a tidy person and very easy to get along with. In my free time I like to just chill with friends, catch a movie or find a cool new place to eat. I'm always down for a new adventure and love a good day trip, and I watch too many tv shows. I'm not a party animal, but i'll go out every once in awhile if i'm feeling like it. And I also don't smoke. I'm also interested in teaming up with 1 or 2 people and applying for apartments or units. I've found a couple places i'm interested in so feel free to message me if you're interested in teaming up! I'm looking at places around 400pw for 2 people or max 600pw for 3. But am happy to go lower in price. I'm mostly looking on the northside (no further than Zillmere) but am happy to look at the southside as well.
I'm 21 years old currently halfway through studying a law/psychology degree. I enjoy reading or getting out and about during my free time. Happy to help clean up and do my share of housework etc
I work in retail and study a dual degree in Urban Planning and Environmental Science (3rd year of 5). I have a beautiful 11 y/o Labrador doggo and appreciate both alone time and social time. I'm open, honest, low maintenance and easy to talk to.
Move date Feb 27th. Permanent job, part time study, always busy with work, study or hobbies. Hoping for a low maintenance place as I'm spending too much of my time cleaning. I don't mind the cleaning and yard work but don't have time for it. What I do have time for is chilling out when other people are home. Happy for a chat when people are up for it, or letting you do your thing. I can come with or without a dog depending on the place. I have a whole house worth of furniture, ready to put into a new house. Some of it has seen better days so I'm happy to sell it if necessary.
I'm 19 years old and have applied to start studying business and psychology at QUT. As well as studying, I also have casual work so I'll be in and out all the time. I'm super easy going and clean. I love my personal space but I'm always up for a chat with whoevers around. Moving from Toowoomba so I'm not wanting to move until the end of January.
My name is Grant. I am a 48year old. I am a fairly quiet & reserved type of person. I am friendly & respectful of others but I do tend to keep to myself. I am neat and tidy, and I do clean up after myself. I work full time in South Brisbane. I don't drink, I don't smoke and I don't party or do drugs of any kind. I am fairly fit because I do a lot of walking and skating (roller & skateboard). I try and get to the skating rink at least twice a week.......more if I am able :) BTW I am gay if that matters at all. I am looking for a studio, granny flat or one bedroom flat preferably within 10kms of the city with easy access to public transport (train & bus). I don't have any furniture so a furnished place would be nice. I would also need internet (preferably wifi) because I spend a lot of time online. Air-conditioning is nice as well. The last couple of places that I have rented have had everything (power, wifi etc.) included in the rent & even though it probably costs a little more I don't mind cause it's easier. If you have a place that you think would suit me then please don't hesitate to contact me.
Hello future roomie! About me...globe trotter, easy-going, enjoy a good chat / laugh and savour my own space too (esp. when I need to get stuff / work done). Lived in Singapore for the last 5 years, Canada for the previous 8, Sydney for the 2 years before...(will tell you more if we ever meet). Essentially a third-culture kid at heart. Moving to Brisbane for the next two years for full time work at a clinic and looking for chill, tidy, respectful and relaxed roomies. Open to living on my own or with a friendly bunch. Look forward to hearing your ideas... Have a good one!
I am very tidy. Pride myself on keeping the living area and shared areas (including bathroom and toilet) clean. I am pretty busy with work. My days off tend to be during the week. So am rarely home on weekends. Do forget to take the clothes out of the washing machine occasionally if i had to say a flaw.
Respectful, Clean, Tidy, Self-sufficient, Social, Friendly, Reliable, Easy to get along with. I work in IT support Mon - Fri. Often away for weekends. Looking for end of March and possibly ongoing. Prefer furnished bedroom.
Hi, I am currently studying Health Science at UQ. Im a social and laid-back guy plus I never make a mess. Im currently working casual but usually get around 20 hours a week.
I will be moving to Brisbane from Sydney to study law at QUT. I will also be looking for a causal job on weekends so probably won't be around much. I am clean and respectful. I am friendly but don't want a party house. Prefer friendly chats and shared meals :) I should clarify that I cannot move before late Jan due to the lease on my current house.
My brother and I are looking to start a new share house and seeking one additional house mate and an entire property to rent. I have two large dogs (great dane & mixed breed) so need a well fenced yard. I'm clean, tidy and easy to get along with. I work full time in the government and live an active lifestyle.
Hi, my name is Corinna - I'm a 26 year old female. I'm looking to share a house with friendly people who are happy to have a chat. I am a fairly tidy person and am respectful of other people the communal living spaces. I am really into healthy eating, cooking, and fitness and am looking to start learning Spanish! My ideal home would have a friendly, low-key and homely atmosphere. Message me if this sounds like you! :)
Moved from Central Queensland to Brisbane in October and currently working full time as a Carpenter. I like to go to gym in the afternoons and enjoy guitar, music, footy and tennis. Up for a drink on weekends but happy to do my own thing also. Will be clean, respectful of others and pay on time.
Working full time, always on the go so hardly home! Quite active and like to have fun and can easily get along with anyone :) Looking to move into a place by Jan 22nd! I have another friend male, 27 years also looking to move out with me. Anyone interested in finding a place with us please message me. We are currently searching and we will have a place in the next few weeks.
Hi there, My name is Tom and I am a young professional working in Brisbane and looking for a team up with another fun-to-live-with flatmate. I am reliable, tidy and can crack a few good puns. I am always happy to have a chat, trip up the coast, hike, video game session or few beers at a BBQ. Because of the work I do, I am constantly on the road; leaving the flat to you for a lot of the time. I'll be bringing a lot of my own furniture and am a pretty good cook. I look forward to meeting you! -T.
Easy going full time working professional (IT / Projects) looking to house share within Brisbane region. Clean and Tidy and social personality but also always respect my flatmates space. Good with pets (especially dogs! lol) and easy working in with flatmates when it comes bill sharing, etc. I commute to CBD daily for work so would be great to find a place close to train lines. Originally from NZ and been in Brisbane for almost 3 yrs now, during the week i'm pretty boring (lol) normally just busy working, gym, and a little study or TV comprises my daily routine, but on weekends love to get out to the Sunshine Coast or GC when is sunny, or hit the local and watch rugby / sports. As mentioned I'm super laid back and respectful as a flatmate, and looking to fit in with a cool bunch who would hopefully end up awesome mates as well as flatties! Feel free to ask me any questions.
Hi :) I'm 23 and working part time in hospitality (Chermside). If I'm not working I'm probably watching Netflix.. I'm pretty chilled & laidback during the week but I do enjoy being social and going out on the weekends. I'm friendly, tidy & responsible.
24 Year old female working full time in Brisbane City as an interior designer. Not home alot as I work long hours then like to head to the gym after or before work. Extremely clean to live with, love cooking and a glass of wine. Like personal space but only to an extent- very social
Neat and tidy, value mine and others privacy, love to cook, social but like to do my own thing from time to time, work six days a week in CBD, active in outdoors sports, don't mind a social drink every now and then, would be great to have housemates that could become friends. Love animals so if you have a social dog or cat i don't mind at all :) Just got myself a new car so undercover parking would be great!
Clean, tidy, quiet, mature, noise-conscious, power/water conscious, experienced in share housing, sociable yet independent, loves cooking. I like to share with people who have a wide array of life skills, awareness, responsibility, are ethical and can put themselves in other people's shoes. I'm easy to get along with and prefer to live with people who have mutual respect seeing that share housing is a mutually beneficial arrangement for both parties, and that everyone should have a happy and relaxed home environment. I'm currently studying my Masters degree for the next 12 months, so a quiet place without loud tv's, loud music, small children, construction sites right next door etc, is a must. I like to catch up with friends and family when time permits, and most of my friends and family live in the suburbs listed so they're my preferred areas with good reliable and frequent public transport. I don't have a preferred length of stay to lock myself into (particularly if the housemates end up being inflexible, power tripping, egotistical or dishonest- I have had that on a couple of occasions and try my best to weed out such places from my searching) however for the right combination of a comfortable quiet home and share suitable personalities, I would naturally consider staying on if the overall conditions made it worthwhile to do so. So I chose 6 months as a default as there was no option to type any text to explain, in there. :-) Cheers.
I am a very tidy person, don't party much, but enjoy being social. Part time student at QUT, part time worker at Coles Lutwyche. Looking for a cheap room, with some enjoyable people. I am not very picky, and very flexible.
