Hello! I am looking for a new place to call home :-) I am in my 30's, a health orientated, environmentally conscious vegan, living an intentional life :-) I try to live low-impact and low-toxic. I am enthusiastic about the voluntary simplicity movement, co-operatives and the share-economy! I love being surrounded by beauty and simplicity in my home :-) I want to live in a peaceful and harmonious environment, one that is conducive to creative and yogic practices. I am a social introvert--warm and friendly, but recharge my energy with alone time. I work in the Cultural sector, and as a Creative Arts therapist, (and I try to have my own art-practice as well).
Hey future roomie! As you'd probably already established, I'm Georga, I am 25 years young (old) and am currently living in Bonner (the end of the world 😭) I moved to Canberra almost 2 years ago and absolutely adore it here. I work in construction full time. I like a drink, and love nothing more than cutting loose on weekends (I start work super early during the week so no late nights for this Grandma) I am a very social person and would like entertaining friends on the weekends with BBQ's and wines. Reason for moving is wanting to be closer to work (lyneham) so inner north is preferred. I come with bedroom furniture a BBQ and an outdoor lounge setting. Parking is a must. Bonus points for a dog! About you: I would love to live in a sociable, friendly and generally happy household. X
Hi there, I’m Kirsten. I’ve lived in our nations capital for nearly two years and have a full time government gig. In my spare time I play sport, cook, cycle, hike and read. I’m eager to find a friendly and respectful household.
I'm a super friendly, well educated guy with progressive values and great cooking skills. I can keep to myself, but can also be a blast to hang out with. I'm respectful, and quiet when I need to be. I work at JB HI FI in the city, I'm good at most things IT, I love dogs and movies, coffee and food.
Current lease ends at January 22nd 2019, looking for a place to move in immediately after that > full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car (so that my roommate and I can go out and have fun on holidays)
Hi there! I’m Robyn, a 25-year-old student about to graduate, looking for a room in a share house anywhere between Dickson/Bruce/Aranda down to Griffith/Manuka, preferably from early December and for at least six months. I am Monica Geller-level clean, very friendly and considerate, and love to bake for my flat mates! I come with excellent references and my budget is anywhere from $150-220. I’m not into big parties but I love to watch Netflix and have a good chat over tea, go to the gym and enjoy doing all sort of things around the city!
Hello, I am working in Braddon and I am looking to be close to work. I moved to Canberra last year and have been living on the southside. I am a non smoker and prefer to live in a non smoking house. I work as project manager for the government. I enjoy getting outdoors when I can and cooking. Please feel free to contact me. Laurence
I am an international student doing his master’s in management and information systems from ANU and working at a cafe. Generally, I'm pretty chilled out and of helpful demeanour and get along with people quite easily. I like to play, follow and watch sports, also some drama and sitcoms. I'm a vegetarian (not a problem if you aren't) and I often cook my meals and love to share my food. Also, I don`t mind a beer or wine every now then and always up for a good chat. I'm pretty good with my bills and rent payments as well and I like my surroundings clean and organised though not obsessed about it. If there's anything else, you would like to know about me please feel free to message me. 🙂
Hey there! I'm moving to Canberra from Adelaide in Feb 2019 to start as an APS Graduate (I know that's still a long time away but I thought I might try and get a jump on the crowds..) I've lived in share houses for the last few years and have loved it - I'm friendly, very relaxed and more than happy to pull my weight with cleaning, cooking etc etc all that fun stuff. I'm looking for a house of people who are easy going and who are keen to chill out together on the couch after a long day or share a meal and a few drinks every now and again. That said, I also know that work and study can get crazy and its important to be respectful of the need to have time alone. A little more about myself... I love hiking, camping and getting outdoors, I try to ride my bike wherever I can, and I try to live sustainably. I enjoy cooking and baking and Netflix binging in my free time. I've accumulated quite a bit of furniture and some appliances - couches/coffee table/fridge/washing machine and so on - which I'm more than happy to supply if you need it. Otherwise an empty bedroom to call my own is all I need. If you think we'd get along and you might have a free room around the start of 2019 please let me know! Cheers :)
An easy-going young professional who likes to go on adventures. Very flexible, easy to be around, and clean up after myself. I like to cook but also eat out, and find things to do in my spare time. Happy to share a meal/have a feast and spend time together with others, but can also keep to myself if preferred.
I’ve just run away from teaching highschool mathematics in remote northern NSW to join the Questacon Science Circus for a year! My trusty side-kick and Border Collie/Kelpy Cleo will most likely be in tow. She’s incredibly well-behaved, very friendly and only occasionally barks at plastic bags and empty water bottles. I’ll be studying at ANU and on the road a fair amount, but when I’m around, I’m very easy going to live with. I’m clean and tidy where it counts, a big fan of boardgames and adventures, but also perfectly fine being in my own company if that’s more you’re style. I also bring with me a drone and a 3D printer to play with. Otherwise, I’m into volleyball, squash, photography, podcasts, puns and a good chat.
I'm a full time professional looking for a tidy share with friendly housemate(s), preferably a master/large bedroom. I drive, gym, cook, read, movie nights, socialize etc. I'm considerate to live with and easy going. I have a bed, desk etc to bring, Happy to share a meal and drink or chat.
Hello, just found out my beautiful Watson house is being sold and I'm taking it as an opportunity for a bit of a change. I'm a tidy artist, I love cooking, always keen for a chat but respectful of space. I work at the National Gallery at the moment and I'm just about to go to Japan for three weeks!
Hey! We're a couple moving down to Canberra in Jan/Feb 2019 for work/study. Elena is starting her PhD at ANU, and Oskar is starting work at the ATO. We're both very flexible people - we appreciate the need for private bedroom space, but will happily chill in the living space with other housemates after work and on weekends. Around the house we're both very low maintenance, the sort of people who'll make the effort to wash up the dishes in the evening so we don't have to deal with it in the morning. In her spare time, Elena loves reading, drinking tea, and playing hockey. Oskar plays a lot of ultimate frisbee, listens to music, and enjoys being out-and-about. We're both casual trumpet players, though we only practice once or twice a week so don't worry about the noise! We're looking for 1-3 people to share a house with somewhere within 7km or so (cycling distance) of ANU. We don't have any strong preferences in housemates, as long as they're roughly 18-30yrs old, don't smoke inside the house, and are socially accepting people. We hope to hear from you soon :)
Hey I am Imogen! I am a fun and happy gal. Currently studying Social Work at ACU. Moved to Canberra at the start of last year for uni. Working part-time. I am chilled and relaxed and like to have a bit of a yarn :) Also love some Netflix and down time!
Two ex-college students from the ANU. I'm Nina currently on exchange in Norway, and Lauren is in exchange in Indonesia. We'd love to come back to accommodation while we finish our degrees! We love our studies, love life, love a boogie on the df, and love travel and we love not being homeless!
I am originally from Townsville but have lived in Canberra for two years now. I am easy going, happy to help out with work in and around the house. I am fairly clean and tidy, I normally keep to myself although do enjoy having a beer with the guys after work. I don't really have a particular move in date, just any time before Jan 16 as that's when I'll be moving out of my current living arrangements.
Hi i'm Nick, relatively new to Canberra and looking to join a share house. I work full time with the Ambulance service. I have 5 years experience living in share houses. I am very flexible with a move in date, just let me know. I am very easy to get along with, I enjoying getting out and about and trying new things. I would love to find a house that is social and friendly. My hobbies are cycling, cricket, soccer and finding pets to play with. Thanks!
I am 19. I am studying a bachelor of early childhood and primary education at ACU and also work casually at a pub in Bungendore. I currently live in a small country town called Tarago which I will spend many weekends returning to so that I can ride my horse Banjo. I love going on adventures but also love staying in with a cup of tea, watching netflix in my pjs.
I am pretty quiet, enjoy tea, chats and have great taste in TV & poetry. I'm currently working part-time in the community sector and loving it! Canberra has got me hooked on latin partner dancing, yeah I didn't see this hobby coming either :p
**I have found a place, thank you everyone!! ** Hi, my name is Sam, my 11 yr old Spoodle dog and I are looking for a room in inner north or inner south Canberra. My dog is a very friendly poodle mix, so non shedding and house trained. He is a funny boy who will make you laugh. He loves other dogs so if there is already a dog in the house that would be great. I run a creative small business (internet and markets based) and work part time in retail as well. I am from Canberra so already know the community well and have missed it! I am a quiet home body type, young at heart, fun, considerate and reliable. I like a calm, homey house, that is comfortable and clean. I like to invite friends over for coffee, dinner, now and then, but am mostly quiet. I love film, arts, coffee, more coffee, good chats, laughing and being creative. I don’t have to live with any particular ages, I have shared with people of all ages. I’m a non drinker and non smoker, don’t mind if you are a light drinker, but am not after a party house. Am happy to team up and rent a house with 1-2 others.
Hi, I'm Raeychale, I'm from Wagga Wagga, and will be moving to Canberra to start studying full time at ANU, as a science undergraduate. I practice martial arts, love travelling and spending time with friends. I'm friendly and easy going, and clean up after myself. I'd love to find someone who wouldn't mind getting to know each other, and spend some time watching a movie or catching a bite to eat in our free time. But at the same time, I know everyone has busy lives, so i value some quite time too. Looking forward to hearing from you!!
I'm a third year university student, preferably looking for some other students or young people to live with. I'm pretty laid-back, clean but not a neat freak, and like my own space - although I'd love a place where I can hang out with my housemates every now and then!
Hi, I’m moving to Canberra from Adelaide to start a new job as a research scientist. I enjoy playing sports (especially tennis) and being out in nature. I’m friendly, respectful, and tidy.
Hey there! I'm Eryn and I'm quite the dynamite gal. I've just completed my Cert IV in Musical Theatre but will not serenade you with broadway songs if you do not wish for me to do so. I'm a pretty arty person and love to draw/get my art on and obviously perform. I'm currently working 3 jobs in children's entertaining/educating and customer experience. I'm a fully grown child and love to watch anything disney (classic and pixar), As a theatre girl, I would consider myself outgoing (but not whack job crazy) but I do respect that some people need privacy/quiet time :) I appreciate the casual wine and cheese nights, although I appreciate the cheese more so than the wine. Let me know if you have any more questions!
My name is Tash I'm 24 years old and making the big move up to Canberra in October from Melbourne. I'm starting a new job at a Sydney radio station on the 22nd of Oct so ideally looking to move into a place a few days before that. I like to think I'm super easy going, friendly and most certainly clean and tidy without being too ocd about it! I'm super keen to find a place which will make my transition nice and easy and hope that my housemates can take me under their wing! However, I certainly understand that everyone has their own lives going on and the need for space. If you think you'd like to live with me I'd love to hear from you!
Aaron and Claire ~ an exciting and dynamic duo. Living together for the past six months, we’ve enjoyed our time in the quiet and picturesque inner north suburb of Watson. Currently both deffered we are looking to take up study in the coming acedmic year in our respective areas ~ phsycology and visual arts ~ whilst maintaining our part time jobs. We both maintain a clean standard of living and are chatty, personable and supportive to those close to us. A love for nature and tasty food is definetly mutual, and occasionally big night out. Typically we share the cost of food, and are happy to cook individually or together. Our maximum rental cost is roughly $150-175 each per week ~ this will sit well within our budgets. Utility bills do not have to be included within this cost. Claire is currently in the ownership of a car, and is more than willing to provide lifts anytime, anywhere. Thank you for your consideration, hoping to hear from some marvellous people soon.
I'm a cheerful, laid-back country girl studying makeup. I'm quiet and tidy but is always down for drinks and get-togethers. On arrival in Canberra I'll be looking for part-time work but as of right now I'm unemployed.
Hello, I am currently looking for a place close to my workplace in Lyneham. I am very quiet as I work full time and have an early start in the morning. No pets of my own but up until recently was volunteering at a veterinary clinic so am animal friendly. Non-smoker and rarely drink.
Hi! I'm an easy-going, tidy and respectful housemate. I keep pretty busy between studying and working, but in my spare time I like being active, cooking, socialising and visiting family in Victoria. I'm looking for a fairly long term arrangement, and am after a room with a wardrobe and space for a double bed and desk. I am also after one car parking space. Cheers, Felicity
I'm a fourth year student studying Asian Studies/IR at ANU. I'm super friendly, and a pretty busy person who has always studied and worked. I respect others' space and enjoy chill times at home. I'm flexible, reliable and love meeting new people :)
Just another bloke at the pub. I'm a former ANU and UC student and have done several sharehouses over the last 6 years odd, so understand the nature of various households. I'm flexible and able to adapt myself to the requirements of housemates, having lived with men and women of various individual natures. I am a Football (soccer) enthusiast, refereeing football and futsal regularly. I'm also playing local level (social) cricket on Saturdays, enjoy lawn bowls, pub trivia and local gigs. Anything fun, its all an adventure. I'm generally a sociable person, but have days where I'll disappear into a book or tv show in my room, as we all do. I'm Just a regular pleb frankly. I quit my previous job to travel to the World Cup in Russia, so I've been in Port Macquarie with my parents since returning from Europe. Currently on Newstart but I have 5 nights a week refereeing football/futsal lined up in Canberra so I will be able to readily afford essential living expences while looking for more regular work. Geographically flexible in Canberra area, mainly returning to Canberra for the purpose of cricket season. Trying to keep it on the cheaper side. Happy for a furnished or unfurnished room, any size. Any questions just give us a shout! Cheers, Matthew.
I’m a quiet, tidy, respectful tenant looking to move in ASAP and I am flexible with my length of stay (6+ months is preferable though). I work full time Monday to Friday and spend most of my free time with my horse, Ellie. I love animals so I’m fine with any pets. I appreciate my time alone at home to binge watch lame tv and nap, but I’m also up for a chat/movie/dinner etc if it’s available. I don’t eat meat but I can cook pretty well so it makes up for it!
Looking for inner North share house for shorter term 3 - 6 months, with possible extension. I work full time Monday - Friday, and keep busy with dance classes/training on weeknights. On the quieter side but enjoy a chat. Clean, tidy and responsible.
Firstly, if you want to get in touch please look me up on Facebook, add me as a friend or send me a message request I’m Mina, currently a graphic designer but I’m planning to study early childhood care and education soon. I love drawing, colouring, crafting, doing puzzles and listening to audiobooks, I’m relatively quiet and get caught up in doing my own thing but also enjoy a good long talk, I love talking about life and cartoons. I also give great advice 👌🏻 Nelson is a relaxed kind of guy, he loves being outdoors and cooking the odd meal (he makes awesome burgers) He likes music, video games and trips to the cotter in the summer with his friends.
I have shared with others and am very respectful. I am financially secure, work full time, study part time and have a range of hobbies meaning I will rarely be home. I also have all the furniture and appliances required to fill a house (Plus a piano). I have a small inside poodle (no hair everywhere) and am moving in January.
