Chloe is studying a bachelor of arts at ANU, majoring in human rights and international relations. Rania (in the picture) is studying psychology at uc. Our current lease ends on the 20th of March, so we're looking for 1-2 new housemates and a new home! We're looking for a tidy, left-leaning, vegan/vego friendly, student home within short driving distance from both unis. We're both respectful, friendly people, and excited to meet our new potential roomies:) - LGBTQI+ friendly
The best word to describe me would be relaxed. I get along with most people and am very accommodating of different wants and needs - I want to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable in their home. I keep to myself for the most part but I'm always happy to chat and a laugh (about 80% of what I say is a joke, I'm having a tough time writing this up so seriously). I run my own business so I mostly work from home but I have an office in the city that I usually work from 2 days a week. Otherwise, I spend most of my time gaming, reading and listening to/making music (usually with headphones). I also love nature, climbing, hiking and camping. I'm a night owl, usually up until 3AM or so but I'm very quiet and make sure I'm not disturbing people. I'm a fairly neat and tidy person and I like to keep a clean kitchen but I'm definitely not a neat-freak. I've happily adjusted to different cleanliness standards before from very high to reasonably low and I'm more than willing to put in more effort if that's your preference. I believe most issues that pop up between housemates can be solved with good communication. I've lived in a few sharehouses in Canberra over the years, big and small groups and different gender splits, so I'm fairly experienced. If that all sounds good to you I'm sure we'll get along well :)
Hi everyone My name's Josh, I'm 23 and after having studied part-time at the University of Newcastle I have just moved to Canberra to study a Bachelor of Economics at the ANU. The occasional dinner/film with housemates would be fun, though I respect privacy and space. I like international cinema (Pan's Labyrinth is amazing), black coffee and I'm vegan (if you're not that's fine too). I like to keep a clean and organised living space and would be happy to share chores. I can move anytime from now until early March.
Hey, I'm Cameron. I'm working full time as an electronics engineer in Canberra's East, and looking for somewhere to call home. I've been living in a sharehouse interstate for the last 5 or so months and you will find me to be friendly, respectful, and easy to get along with (and I welcome you to get one of my current housemates to vouch for that - just ask). I'll keep the place reasonably tidy and pitch in for chores. I like enough of my own space, and respect that you probably do to, but otherwise tend to be up for a chat, even over a few drinks or a shared meals from time to time. I enjoy nerdy stuff like books and board games, but I also enjoy good conversations, getting out among some good scenery, and am keen to get out and explore our illustrious capital. So what am I after? I'd like to be within 20 minutes drive of work, 30 max (and obviously somewhere to park my car). Bonus points if I can cycle within 30-40 minutes too. (Preferred suburbs above are a guide only!) I'm after housemates who are easy to get along with, respectful, reasonably tidy, and will respect my need for enough of my own space and privacy. That said, I'm keen to live somewhere at least somewhat homely, so after housemates who want to hang out or just stop for a chat sometimes too. It's important that I meet (or at least talk to) all of the current housemates first. Also, I'm not interested in sharing with any couples (sorry!). As advertised, I'm after about 6 months, but there's a reasonable chance I'll look to stay for longer. The house will be big enough that I am able to have space from other people when I need it - whether or not much of that space is in my room. I also have my own bedroom furniture. Like what you see, but more questions? Don't hesitate to ask!
I am looking for a room to rent with flexible length of stay. I need a base from which I can organise a more permanent move to the city. I am originally from the UK but have lived in Asia for most of the last 10 years (including a short spell in Canberra). I work as a scientist. I am no part animal but am sociable, easy going and reasonable to live with. I like being out doors (cycling, running or walking). Always happy to chat.
I'm an ANU student studying computing who uses a manual wheelchair to get around. When I'm not doiing that I like listening to and playing music, reading and doing astrophotography.
Hello, I am Franca Kim (23 year old female) and I'll be studying at ANU from this semester. I lived in a dorm for 4 years when I was doing my undergrad in Japan, so I am used sharing houses with other people. I don't enjoy staying indoors on weekdays so my daily routine is to go out early during the day and usually stay at the library all day, so I wouldn't be in the house a lot here (but I do cook everyday and stay indoors on weekends!). I would keep things clean and tidy, respect house rules! I am staying in Canberra atm, so please message me if you're interested! Thank you
Hey guys I'm a youth worker working in a rehab for teenagers and I do a few other small jobs including the door at Transit bar and working for a chai company. I am 1st year PhD student at Research School on Astronomy and Astrophysics in ANU .I am from India .I like to spend some time with flatmates and enjoy my own space too. I am looking for a calm place which is very close to university .
Hi, I'm passionate about recycling, helping out, great at fixing things, and have a very sociable Jack Russell who loves attention and a ball. Currently renting in Gungahlin (last 14 months), I work full time in Civic (I.T.), and want to be closer to work so I can ride my bike ($16.70 for parking is ridiculous). I spend some weekends at coast or camping/visiting friends/kids interstate. Looking for a place that has a secure outside yard and a space to park the car.
I am looking for a place for about 6 months, relatively close to the city or Belconnen. I am a tidy and respectful roommate, and a recent graduate from ANU. I am working part-time and am going to start full-time work shortly. Let me know if you have something! Thanks!
Female, full time student, studying law. In my final year and applying for internships. Part time working in retail and keen to move on up and out into the law field asap. I keep to myself most of the time. Though I do like the regular movie night and training sessions. I have a dog, titan, that's in training for mind dog program. So he is well behaved, house trained and loving. Would love to remain living in Canberra but it's getting pretty hard to find pet friendly accom as a one person. North Canberra would be my preference... anywhere lol. Keen for team ups
Greetings, I am a recent graduate relocating for work. I have an 'easy going' demeanour and would prefer an arrangement lasting a six month period whilst still maintaining the option to extend.
Hi I’m Sian, 29, fairly busy but always up for a laugh. I have two fur balls, named Charlotte and Wilbur they are mini lop bunnies. Looking for a studio or house share in Canberra, lived in my place two years but the landlord wants to allow his family to move in. I am easy going and quiet to live with
Hi! I'm a recent graduate about to start a a full time position with the Department of Defence and as such I will be relocating to Canberra from Melbourne for a minimum of 6 months. I will be in Canberra after the 10th of February and looking to move into a furnished room in a share house/flat either on or before the 24th of February. As work will be located in Campbell I am ideally hoping to find a place reasonably close! I am quite a social individual, but am also very accepting of other's own personal space. I consider myself to be neat and tidy. In my spare time I enjoy keeping active by playing AFL and am also into my music. Feel free to send me a message if you think I'd be the right fit for your house!
Hello!! I am an avid tea drinker, willing to to do anything if it involves a cuppa. I am very friendly, however am also more than happy to keep to myself if I've had a long day at work - I understand there needs to be a perfect balance. I am new to Canberra (originally a Melbourne native), and just looking for a few (or even one) person/s to share my new experience with. I am very clean, and also try my best to be a great cook. I'm starting a new full time job in Canberra, and hoping to set up some permanent roots. I'm all about treating people with kindness and respect, and am hoping to share that commonality with other room mates. Oh! and I'm also super funny (at least that is what my mum tells me)
Hi Everyone! My name's Natalie :-) I'm 25 and looking for a place in Canberra. I work full time in drug and alcohol rehabilitation. I graduated ANU in psychology a few years ago. When I'm not working I'm often catching up with friends, bush walking or going to the gym. I also love music/cultural events, kayaking and going on spontaneous coast trips 😉 When I am at home I am usually reading, chatting, cooking or doing craft. I'm a vegetarian so historically this has resulted in me cooking a lot of my own meals but I prefer sharing a meal. As a housemate I am honest, communicative and value equality. I don't do drama, and you know where you stand with me. I have a mischievous sense of humour and have been told I am kind natured. I like to keep the house tidy but not overly pristine. I enjoy having chats and socialising. I am looking to live in a house where people are happy to sit around the communal areas and feel comfortable with each other and themselves. I am happy living with both males and females. I wish to live in larger room which has the capacity to accommodate a queen bed. I would be super happy living in a house which has a pet. I'm after a homely place with a relaxed atmosphere. I'm also after a place which has adequate heating and cooling. I am very flexible with move in date (meaning I can move in either in a week or a month) Please shoot me a message if you feel I'm suitable :-)
I'm a full-time student at the ANU in my fifth year, just come back from 6 months overseas on exchange. Looking ideally for a room in an existing house. I work part-time for a professional services firm, and I'm friendly and tidy. I'm equal parts keep to myself and happy for a chat or to hang out and grab a drink.
I will be studying Master of Economics at ANU this February, therefore I want to call Canberra as my second home. I just recently graduated from Melbourne last year, and ever since I started a small business back in my country, Indonesia I will spend most of my time in ANU library, but I have a commitment to spare at least 1 or 2 days to socialise with my friends ~ this is how I usually did in my uni life back in Melbourne. So if you want someone who can always easy going or party every night, I may not into your category. But, if you need someone who is quiet, respect your personal space but still be able to hang out/drink/exercice together at leaat once in a week, I could be that person I do really like food ~ who doesn't? I would love to explore hidden cafes as well as tasting a cup of latte in Canberra. Yes, I'm a coffee addict. Beside that, I and my mom also own a small restaurant, so basically I see myself to be exploring many cafes in Canberra as a way to gain some ideas to develop my business. I do like sports! Although I'm not ideally shaped 😂🤣, but it will be hard for me to snub any invitations to play badminton, futsal, or table tennis.
Hi! I'm a 29 year old female professional who works in marketing. I am looking for an unfurnished bedroom in a share house. I like to share a meal or a glass of wine with my housemates and am relatively quiet during the week. I'm from QLD and have lived in the capital for just over two years, I like reading, cooking, lake walks and exploring the city. I'm pretty easy going and clean up after myself. I'm really just a normal person who knows the balance between being a friendly housemate and wanting my own space.
Hello! I have recently graduated from ANU with a degree in Criminology. I currently work part-time at JB HiFi while trying to find a full-time job. I live in Canberra but am from the South Coast, so love swimming and the beach. I am a nice, tidy, friendly person who is always up for a chat/dinner/drinks/board games but also likes some time to myself. I can also hook you up with some sweet discounts at JB HiFi if you're inclined. Overall I'd be awesome to live with.
Hi:) I'm a 23 year old graduate moving to Canberra from Melbourne to start a full time job with the APS. I am friendly, neat and would enjoy getting along with my house mates over dinner or a drink. Outside of work I enjoy baking cakes and cookies, being outdoors and going out for dinner. Looking for people like me to share a place with! I am looking to move ASAP Happy to pay $250 per week plus bills, negotiable. Non-discriminatory:)
