Is your home a blissful, amazing sanctuary that lights up your heart? Is the granny flat, converted shed or self-contained something on your property calling for a loving, creative, grounded & balanced being to inhabit it? Hi, I'm Jen. After many years of house sharing I feel a longing to have a space to call my own. However, I believe we are meant to exist in community, so I'd love to share the land & cost of overheads with organically minded, earth conscious & energy conscious people. A snapshot of me: I'm 36 and work in a variety of fields in the Arts, Self-development & Event Management fields. Last year I returned to my home town of Newcastle after over a decade away of job pursuits & I'm happy to be back & closer to friends, family & the beach. I enjoy my work as Studio Manager of an Art Studio in Wallsend, alongside building my own business as a Shamanic Womancrafter, Life Doula, Artist, Healer & Teacher, running women's circles & currently studying the women's mysteries & spiritual practises. I want to be radically honest here about who I am. For some, what I just wrote may seem a bit far out or 'hippy', but I hope for the right people, you'll read between the lines & feel what I'm about. I'm caring, empathetic, motivated, logical & got my feet firmly on the ground! Apart from all the usual 'fully house trained' stuff (even considered a bit of a handy-woman & come with tools to help with odd jobs & repairs around the house), I come with a fur child. Elkie is my 14yr old, female tabby cat. She's super chilled, doesn't wander very far, spends most of her time sleeping on my bed & loves a good chat. My wish list - We're longing for a self-contained space that is quiet & safe - Window & doors screened for mozzie protection - Separate bedroom to the living space would be ideal - Loads of natural light & air flow - Grass, tree's & nature are my daily medicine, so some greenery would be amazing - Bath & air con are luxury items I would thank the stars for! - Space for my art studio/office set up - Storage for my camping stuff, bits & pieces - Kitchen I can create in - No more than a 30min drive from Wallsend would be preferred & close to a water source would be magic! - Unfurnished, as I have everything. There are so many different types of properties, homes, families & living arrangements out there, so if any of this has kept you reading so far & you've got something that might suit, I'd love to hear from you. I know the perfect sanctuary exists! I look forward to meeting you.
I'm very tidy, house proud and easy to get along with. I'd say im very flexible, cooperative and polite. I like a good laugh and to socialise. I look forward to meeting like minded people in the area and will be looking for a place of my own sometime in the future. I have a beautiful house trained female boarder collie who is 9 years old. Ideally looking for a home with out other pets or at least an understanding of good introductions with other dogs. I'm a Project manager within the construction industry. I enjoy surfing in the local area and regard Dudley and Redhead as my home. I like keeping healthy and admire that quality in other people as well.
I'm a classical pianist and piano teacher, working on Sydney's north shore. I have a cat, not a lot of furniture (I'm a regular purger of 'stuff'), and two motorbikes I'd want to keep off-street. Fairly quiet, (except for playing the piano), I prefer books and the garden and outdoor activity to being indoors watching TV. I don't watch commercial TV (hate ads), nor listen to commercial radio, but will happily binge a good show on Netflix, or listen to ABC radio or music while about the house. Currently I'm also applying for places to rent on my own, into which I'd bring a flatmate, and am also aiming to get into the investment property market.
I'm clean and I'm tidy, generally happy and outgoing optimistic and humorous. I work a lot most weeks a couple of days in Sydney some weeks in Byron Bay so I'm hardly ever there I'm respectful of people space and privacy but also like to have a sense of community in a house.
Hi, my name is Hannah. I am a full-time mindfulness/yoga teacher and in my spare time I love to go for bush walks, cook and play in the garden. I am seeking a long-term rental which feels like home with it's own little patch of earth in which I can set up a permaculture garden to grow my own food. I have three chickens, 4 raised beds, a couple of compost bins and I am considering getting a puppy. I'm quiet, clean, respectful, health conscious - don't drink, smoke, stay up late and when I'm not out teaching, I'm a bit of a home-body. I like to relax, read books, cook and I am clean and tidy. In an ideal world, the house would have a bath tub and gas cooking. I would prefer to stay in Dudley, Whitebridge, Kahibah, Charlestown or Highfields areas but I am open-minded and willing to move further afield for the right place/people.
Hi I’m Milly and I am bubbly, adventurous girl. I try to live a healthy lifestyle, I’m always positive thinking I love to have a clean home so I clean even if it’s not mine to clean. I do like to live a rather quiet lifestyle, and have a couple of friends over every other weekend or so.
I'm 16, 17 in July. I'm friendly, I have a good sense of humour and I'm independent. I'm unemployed at the moment but I am trying my hardest to find a job. Keen to move out by June.
I am clean and quiet. Looking for a place where there aren’t constant parties or music or television played loudly after a certain time. When I come home i want a place where I can decompress and not be bothered or have to clean up after people. I am also looking for a place that is furnished as I am not from here and have no belongings besides my clothes.
Hi Guys, i am a 28 year old male who has just moved back to the area and looking for a place to live. I have lived out of home for 10 years so i understand how it all works with paying bills and keeping a clean house. I work full time with long hours and like to exercise and play sport so i don't spend much time at home. i have a car but no animals and have all the furniture i need for a bedroom.
Hey! I am a easy going roommate who is very tidy and always clean up after myself. I am currently working full time at a childcare centre. I am currently living in Cardiff South but am looking to move somewhere closer to the beach and town :)
Hi, My name is Marissa and my partner Matt and I are looking at moving in together from mid-August. We both currently live in separate share houses. We are looking at the possibility of renting a three-bedroom house and sharing with another person. We are looking for a person who may be interested in sharing with us and becoming a future flatmate and hopefully friends. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Laws/Communication at the University of Newcastle and am in my fourth year at university. I work part-time as a youth support worker in Out of Home Care. I enjoy living an active lifestyle, am outgoing and make friends easily. I'm a hard worker and like to keep myself busy. I go to the gym four times a week and enjoy the beach and visiting my parents on the Central Coast and in Sydney when I have free weekends as well as camping. I enjoy reading and watching movies and will be in Europe from mid-June to mid-August this year travelling. I've lived out of home since starting university, spending two years on college and the last 18 months in a share house with friends. I'd love a workout or study buddy, I'm very close friends with my current housemate! Matt works full time as a fence installer; his hours are between 5:30am-5:30pm Monday - Friday so he is not home much during the week. Whilst he is up early he is extremely quiet and rarely hear him leave. He is currently also living in a share house. On weekends he enjoys motorbike riding, fishing and a quiet beer or two. We are a laid back couple who rarely argue and get along well with each other as well as everyone else. We have our own friends outside our relationship and don't mind doing our own thing. Whilst a couple we have different interests and aren't joined at the hip. We don't go out a lot other than for the occasional dinner. It wouldn't be a party house but we wouldn't mind having friends around for a BBQ or dinner and a few drinks. We are both mature, clean and courteous and looking for someone who is similar. I'm easy to live but do admit to being a tad of a clean freak. I would rather let you know now so it doesn't create conflict in the future! As well as someone who cleans up after themselves we'd be also looking for a person who is willing to participate in general cleaning of the house on a regular basis to keep things clean, tidy and hygienic. This would include basics such as cleaning of bathrooms, mopping, dusting and vacuuming of other common areas etc. We'd each be responsible for our own rooms. Matt is a keen gardener and mower so it's unlikely we'd have to worry about outside. In the share house I live in we currently have a roster but happy to discuss different options. It would be the perfect place for someone studying or working fulltime who has possibly lived out of home before, wants to be social and likes some company but also to do their own thing. We'd like someone with a steady job or secure means to pay rent and bills. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in please contact us! I'd be looking to set one of the rooms up as a study/guest room so we are happy to split whatever the rent is three ways. Matt goes to bed early due to work and I often either finish work late or study late so will need a separate space. Matt and I both have savings and a stable income to purchase furniture and appliances so you'd only have to worry about furnishing your own room. Bills would additionally be split three ways - we'd like someone who is conscious when it comes to electricity as nobody likes seeing money wasted. Our max budget for a house overall would be an approx $510 - $170 each. We would prefer no pets not because we don't like animals but it makes finding a rental extremely difficult. We're happy to provide references of what we are like to live with! If this sounds like something you may be interested in please contact us to discuss further the possibility further! We know it's early but wanted to explore different options before making a decision!
Hi I'm Aaron, I'm 24, a dietitian and work and study full time. I'm a very laid back guy, always up for a chat and enjoy a social drink, but also respect privacy and space. I like going to the gym, reading and trying new cafe and bars. I like to keep things tidy and clean. Keen to meet people with similar values. HMU :)
Hi hey! My name's Caitlin, I'm 22, I work in a cafe called Bonta Vera (vegan cafe in Minmi). I'm also a freelance photographer and videographer in my spare time. I'm vegan, and stay pretty active, mostly going rock climbing both indoor (at the Pulse Adamstown gym) and outdoor on weekends. I keep to myself quite often when home but I can be social at times so always willing to have some nice chats and stuff. I have a 1 year old indoor only ginger cat named Ash who is veeeeerrryy affectionate so he will shower you with love and cuddles once he gets to know you. I have Netflix that I'm more than happy to share, I'm eco-concious around the house so recycling is a must, and I'm very very clean and like to keep the house organised so that it feels nice to come home to less mess. Looking for other people to team up with to find a place together or the right room available within my price range! Hope to get in touch! Looking for a pet friendly place please. I cannot part with my pet cat. If for some reason you can't reach me through this website :)
I have a positive outlook and I'm easy to get along with. I love to connect with people but also like time to myself. I'm a part-time Student welfare worker. Things I like: Nature, Yoga, Chi Gong, Gardening, good food, outings, travelling, children, photography, self-development. and did I mention FUN?
I'm 25 and work part-time in retail, a lot of my other time is spent out of the house as I volunteer at a few different art galleries around the place. Looking for a pretty chill house, I'm not one to have crowds over or parties and am interested in a kinda similar house.
I am a young male, who has left left home in Nowra to to start a new life in Newcastle. i enjoy cooking( i am happy to cook for people, as long as they are happy to eat) and I don't mind doing house work if needed. I pretty layed back and like to keep to myself, but I don't mind chatting at times. I work casually at a fast food place, while looking for other work. I am looking for somewhere to stay for awhile (1 year +)
We are a cruisy quiet couple with 2 dogs and 2 birds that are our babies. Like to have a drink or two, hang out, go for a ride and play with the dogs when we arent working. Matt has a motorbike for transport, so if possible we would like it parked undercover.
Hi I’m danny 27 I work 5-6 days a week , I’m a pretty cruzie guy and love the beach . Looking for people of a similar nature close ish to Newcastle, I’ve lived with girls and guys I’m not really bothered by either and can get along with pretty much anyone. Let me know what you’ve got 😊
Hey, I currently live way too far from both the uni and work, so I’m looking for some people to start a share house with. I found a few listings that would work out great for 3 or more people. I know some people are a bit iffy on pets but I own a dog, cat and bird. I’m ok with others bringing their pets along as long as we don’t end up with ten dogs in the backyard. I’m an energetic person who loves video games and anime as well as a good run. I may challenge you to a dance off on my Xbox Kinect, I also have a two year contract for foxtel and the internet that I can move to the new house, I’ll pay the base on that but any extra channel packs can be worked out later. if interested contact me ASAP Talk to you soon Lahnie
I easy going, mature and respectful. Don't let my age deter you, I'm young at heart. I'm well travelled and happy to talk about most things. I'm not looking for a party house, rather a tranquil place to return home to. I have a thirst for life and humanity, by that I mean, people matter! I happy to pitch in and do my share of household chores and up keep of the home. I'm comfortable with pets. You won't find a better chilled out room mate. I enjoy walks, deep conversations, music, culture, spirituality, sport, and more, however I do like my own space Off street parking for my motorcycle would be ideal, but not totally essential. I'm looking to move in at the end of June, but keen to secure somewhere as soon as possible, and happy to pay a larger bond, if necessary. I look forward to hearing from you, male or female. David
hello! i’m currently looking into moving out to newcastle for work, and am looking for some fun, like-minded people to live with. i enjoy going to concerts/festivals, travelling, having a good chat (& a sneaky drink or two). feel free to message me, looking forward to teaming up with some fun people! :)
I am a happy, bubbly person who likes to socialise but also likes alone time, I am very respectful of other peoples privacy and space. I am also clean and tidy, I am 20, I turn 21 in May, I am not a big party person but enjoys going out to town occasionally. I work at Woolworths Newcastle West, I am not currently studying, and I always pay my rent on time.
Very clean tidy and respectful. Personal trainer/jack of all trades, handy around the house. Bright positive personality. Keep pretty quiet mostly but I’m also pretty social. Enjoy spending time with friends, working on cars or building projects. Will get on/in anything with wheels or a motor, or both. Enjoy the beach, shopping and dinning out.
Hey guys, I am looking at finding a nice rental property, preferably modern house/townhouse. I am a disability carer (3+ years now) , working shift work 5 days a week. I also run a little data-centre in my current residence. Love my video games on PC. If i'm not at work i'm usually sitting in-front of the computer. I like to think i am a polite respectful person. Have been living at home for the past few years but i do have previous positive rental history with an estate agent. I usually keep to myself, Im quite a private person absolutely not a party guy but I do enjoy the occasional drink to let loose. Currently have guarantor from family (parents) to help ease any worries and can happily draw up a contract with the family lawyer to keep everyone happy and covered. Looking to pay no more than $350 a week unless something exceptional pops up.
I grew up on the central coast and now live in Newcastle and work full time in a bank. I like to think I am an outgoing person who loves witty banter and a great karaoke night. I am a chilled out person who loves to relax and Unwind. I would love to move in with people who are bubbly but also have respect for each other’s personal space. I do have a small bird named “meiko” that just chills in his cage and doesn’t really make a sound unless you want him to
