Hey there potential housemates, I'm a botanist about the begin my PhD at La Trobe Uni Bundoora. In my early thirties, I have partied, I have travelled, I have lived on my own and in student sharehouses, and now am looking for a comfortable place to call home. My PhD research is based on the genetics of Cannabis for medicinal purposes. I will be receiving a healthy scholarship fortnightly payment . I also work in the medicinal Cannabis industry itself. At home I'm tidy, respectful and cook most of my meals. Up for the occasional shared dinner. I like having a chat but also respect when others want time to themselves as I often do as well. I enjoy helping out in keeping the house clean and I always clean up after myself. Of course, I'm always keen to do some gardening. In my own time, I'm a regular at the gym, go for the odd bike ride, watch movies/TV series and sports, and explore things online. Outdoor adventures are my favourite but I probably won't be doing much of that while my PhD is going on. I get along best with open-minded, self-motivated, positive, and passionate people. I'm looking to live with one or two (max) professional types who are pretty stable and grounded. I have my own bedroom furniture including a desk. I also own a couch and a near-new 520L fridge if needed. Flexible with move date. If you're looking for someone who is mature but can bring a lot of cheerfullness, laughter and good energy into your home, then send me a msg! Cheers Gianni
We are a relaxed and friendly young couple from Hobart, Tasmania (19 and 20), and are looking for a couple-friendly place to live. We have moved to Melbourne as students to complete university degrees at La Trobe, and are both in our first year of Sport and Exercise Science. Due to moving states, we both have had to leave our previous jobs which has left us unemployed - despite this, we are looking for employment in the very near future and are financially stable (for our age). We love playing sports including hockey and athletics; we also love food paired with a good bev or two! We are looking for somewhere reliable to live for the course of our degrees, and look forward to being flatmates with relaxed and respectful people. Thank you! Jordan and Emma
Hi there, I am Looking for a room to rent preferably in the northern suburbs. I'm a very easy going, open minded and understanding house mate. I work part time as a waitress and am studying hairdressing at the moment. I like reading, listening to music, singing and want to learn how to play the guitar or piano. Would love to start a band! I enjoy going for long walks in the evening, baking and spending time with friends and family. I am a very tidy, and quiet, like to catch up with housemates over a meal and a drink. I will respect your space, not a party person and mindful of any house rules. I Look forward to meeting you! :)
Hi guys, my dog and I looking for a new place. We are both friendly and very social but also respect people’s privacy. I am a uni student and is serious about it but like a little fun from time to time. I cook most of the time and enjoy going for a little swim.
Hi there potential landlords or housemates, I'm a female, 37 year old (young at heart) friendly and clean. I am a great housemate/tenant because I can adapt to any situation and place pretty easily without complaints or stress! I want my future house to be a home not just accomodation! I want it to be my sanctuary where I feel safe and peaceful. I don't mind what age you are or what you do. I respect ones privacy and also am happy to socialise or have a chat every now and then.. I also need privacy lol. I'm honest and direct. I prefer to sort out any problems immediately and believe trust and honesty would be very crucial if a sharehouse is to run smoothly and harmoniously. I'm a homebody and huge dog lover!! I have a small/medium female dog whose 15mths old and loves people and attention, she's quite cheeky.. friendly towards humans generally to other dogs however she's been attacked a couple of times and can get protective of herself hence quickly when playing too roughly. She plays with bigger dogs better too. She is well taken care of and I clean up after her. I'd like a big backyard, more space the better (No townhouses or units unless it's a whole property for myself to rent) My own bathroom only will consider shared bathroom if used rarely by other housemate Large house if sharing WOULD REALLY LOVE MY OWN PLACE HOUSE OR GRANNY FLAT/STUDIO/BUNGALOW!! IF ANYONE IS RENTING A PROPERTY OR ROOMS WITH MY DESCRIPTION PLS CONTACT ME.. ALSO LIKE NO OTHER PETS PREFERABLY AS DONT KNOW IF MY DOG IS UP FOR THAT YET.. Cheers 🙂
I am a French Economic student coming in Melbourne to study one year in La Trobe University. I am very open-minded and even though I am not really a party girl, I love concert and music. I’d like to share a house with students and I am really looking forward to meet new people.
Hey prospective roomie, my name is Alda and i just turned 21 last month. I'm currently working as a full time hair dresser in North Melbourne. I am looking for a cosy, comfortable living space. I'm able to pay my bills on time, I'm hygienic and well behaved when it comes to respecting others privacy. I'm outgoing also a genuine person to hang out with. I would prefer that my name is on the lease if that's not a hassle. Hope to hear from you soon, thanks for reading (:
Hi there, I am a working holiday visa holder from Canada and I have a part-time job while my partner, Chloe, is an Aus citizen and a full-time uni student at La Trobe. We are interested in places that are located in walking distance to the 86 tram line and supermarkets, shops, etc. as either of us own a car. Some of the things we enjoy doing include cooking, listening to music, working out, exploring new places, trying new restaurants, meeting new people, and just going with the flow. We both enjoy doing our own thing and having our own schedules as much as we like spending time together. Overall, we are responsible, respectful, considerate, clean, and friendly. We are both down to hang out, chill out, or give you your space. We are looking to share a space with others and create good vibes while being good quality humans and flatmates.
Industrial Designer. Works full time in the northern suburbs. Moving out of my own place into something shared to save money and have a bit more of a social life. I can supply all the basics in furniture and appliances if needed. Tidy and clean personality. Im fairly utility conscious regarding electricity and water. I enjoy netflix and gaming in my spare time, but also like to keep active and make the most of my weekends. Not too much of a wild personality, but defiantly keen for afternoon beers. I have a fooseball table which doesnt get used anywhere near enough. Looking for something with an en-suite/ my own bathroom, also off street/ garage parking preferred.
Looking to move into a place after the 11th of June. I am a friendly, easy going, neat and clean and respectably guy. I enjoy cooking sweet and savoury and down to try anything. I like to stay active by going for runs and play sport and keep busy with uni, work and hanging out with friends. I am in my second year of Nursing at RMIT, and I work as a waiter at Uni Hill. I don't have my license so it's important for me to access these easily. I grew up in a 6 persons home and have lived in shared student accommodation for over a year, so I know how to live with others and the importance of boundaries and personal space.
Hi! I am an international student studying for her Master's in La Trobe. I am quite a homebody, so I would be a quiet and tidy roomie. I make sure to be understanding of other's personal space and I don't party or smoke at home. My current hobbies include going to the gym, sketching and watching a little too many sci-fi shows on Netflix. I am looking for a clean, quiet and student friendly environment (would be ideal if it is walking distance to La Trobe and roommates are working) to live in. Hoping to move in July. Thank you for reading my listing. Looking forward to meeting my future roommates! :)
Hi All ;) I'm born in South Africa, raised in Perth. Studying full time for Master Degree. Love animals, going out and exploring new places, chilling at the beach, listening to music, watching tv and movies, cooking and enjoying food and watching and playing sport. I'm also respectful, clean, neat, sociable, responsible and fun. Puppy in the profile photo already has a choice home and isn't coming with me ;-)
My two girls and I have just moved down to Melbourne from North Queensland, I'm looking for a flatmate for 6 months, potentially longer. I'm in the hospitality industry and work full time monday - friday I want to live with a music lover, and I'll love anything but RnB. I have 2 young daughters who will be with me around half the time. I'm very easy going, I rarely party these days. I'm looking for a 'teamup' to share a lease with, where I'll need a bedroom for me and one for my daughters, somewhere around the epping/south morang area. My daughters are 6 months and 3 years. Full disclosure, there is crying and tantrums on occaision. But they are adorable so it makes up for it. I'm not expecting anyone to babysit however.
Am a quiet easy going person who keeps to the self pretty much. I'm a single dad with a 4 yr old so am looking for somewhere for both myself and my daughter. My child is in my care 50% pretty much so will be with me on weekends and on Tuesdays. I am preferably looking a self contained room with ensuite or granny flat ect! But am flexible and I'm willing to pay for and to move in to a place asap and am more than happy to answer any questions or concerns anyone may have!
I'm Ravindi a Sri Lankan girl and I'm currently a PhD student at the La Trobe University, Bundoora. I like to stay with females. It would be great if my other flatmates are also students. I'm a very friendly person but sometimes I like my own space since I'm busy with my PhD studies. I prefer to live in a calm & quiet, tidy and a non-smoking place. I would like to team up as well. So if there's any good place which fits to my preferences please send me a message. Thank you.
I’m 27 from the uk. This is my fourth year in Melbourne. Soccer player and personal trainer so like to keep myself fit. Enjoy socialising, catching up with friends over coffee, finding a good bar to have a few drinks, going for walks. Laidback person looking to find a place I can call home and new housemates to call friends
I'm a relaxed human who sometimes plays guitar, has a bunch of records to spin if you want to share and overall, pretty flexible with people of all sorts. A positive person who likes to play around with guitar amps (repairs and mods) and nakes effect pedals sometimes too. I enjoy beers, wines, books and loosely so - TV.
Hey all :-) I’m looking to rent a large room with some storage space/shed. (Also interested in a Granny flat). I have a lot of household goods (ie. fridge, washing. Machine, bookshelf, wall unit etc etc) and would like to ideally use them; but if not, then store them. I Can get rid of some stuff, but would still need some storage space. Looking to move in 10-15th of June, though I can start paying rent earlier for the right fit. Ideally I’d like to stay round my current area - north of the city - (Thomastown!) But I’m really not too bothered where I live, be it inner city or outer burbs, it can be any side of the city - what matters to me is getting the right house and the right housemates 👌 I’d ideally like to rent a ‘house’ rather than just a ‘room’ (so to speak) because it would allow me to have input into shared spaces and the goings on. Though I’m more than happy to just be told what to do, what to pay and when to pay it 😉 I’m looking for a longer term lease - I don’t want to move again in 3 months! Looking in the range of $100-$200 p/w preferably, I can be flexible price wise for the right place. I come with a great references from my current landlord (moving due to them selling up) & past real estate agents. I haven’t paid rent or household bills late in my entire life and always pay my share of the kitchen/laundry/toiletries. Me: 31y.o queer trans-man, I have a pet bearded dragon that lives in his tank. He and I are both very chilled out. I’m bit of an intellectual tree hugging hippie. I’m into anything from quantum physics, astronomy & nature to crass comedy, puns and stupid Internet memes. I’m not into judging anyone for anything; whether it be life choices/styles or gender/race/religion etc. I like having my own space and time, but some social interaction with housemates is good as well. If we can get along well enough to have dinners together occasionally or go out together that you be rad :-) I’m a smoker, so that must be ok with you (outside undercover). I’m also a night owl/night worker so whilst I’m not gonna be banging pots and pans, I will be getting home, walking around, watching TV in my room etc so, you must be ok with quiet nighttime noise. I don’t care what you do for work/study/fun or how much noise you make, at any time of the day. I’m not bothered if you have friends round, throw a party or do whatever it is you desire in your own home. All I ask is that you clean up after yourself, pay your bills on time and are hygienic (don’t mind clutter, but hate spoilt food and the likes). I’m not a partier but like having a friend over for drinks every now and then. I have some friends and a parent that live away from Melbourne that might come stay for a couple of days every couple of months. Please let me know if you have a place you think would be suitable. If we gel well and I love the place, then I’m not adverse to paying rent earlier than the 15th of June (I need to move by then). I can pay full bond whenever it’s needed. Thanks in advance and sorry this was so long :-)

Easy going, work fulltime in Renewable Energy Industry. I like a glass of wine after work and venture out on the weekends. Respectful of others space and always like to keep a clean home. Happy to share a meal over some TV or chat. I have two small dogs, who will also be sharing our home. They love cuddles and if you are a dog person you will love them. Currently living on my own but looking to find a housemate and team up to find the right place. Louise
I am self employed, easy to communicate with, flexible in a variety of households. I enjoy the outdoors, being creative, camping, reading, and working with my crew on various projects.
I’m easygoing, independent, employed and sometimes need to chill after my work. I’m an artist and a quiet musician. I’d love a space to practise such as a garage 2-4 hrs a day preferably. I’m open minded, vegetarian but respectful of other people’s values and beliefs. I’m independent but sociable love to chat every now and again and have a laugh. I’m out and about a lot at gigs, playing music, art shows, travel and in nature. I’m in need of moving in two weeks or sooner as currently I’m too far away from my work. It’s important to me to have a place to feel at home and be respected as I do for others. Creative environment is a plus

Hi my name is Elise and I am a 23year old full time working professional (9-5). I am originally from Adelaide, but have been sent to Melbourne with work for the rest of the year. I am more introverted and so most days after work you will catch me binge watching Netflix or Stan - I do like to go out now and then though. But I also love to be active - so will want to join a gym/play social sport etc Back in Adelaide I am in a 5 person share house with 5 cats and a dog (don't worry they are all staying there) and so love animals - also used to cleaning and being respectful of other's space! I am very easy to get along with :)

Hi, my name is Tahlie, I'm 19 years old, and I'm currently living in my own unit on the far south coast of NSW studying full-time and working casually. I am looking to move to Melbourne soon to enrol at Deakin University and work part-time and am looking to move into a share-house and meet new people. :) I am very tidy and like to have my own space as well as socialise. I am flexible with most things and easy-going and like to think I'm a pretty open-minded person and I'm keen to move into a share-house and meet new people and start my life in Melbourne! :)
Hello! I am currently working full time, from 9 to 5 and I also do university. I am looking for somewhere cheap and close to the city or a train station to go to work. I am also very clean and quite. I'm hardly going to be home so I'm just looking for a nice bed to sleep in and people that are respectful. Let me know if you have a place for me ❤
Hi I'm Ella, I'm eighteen years old and currently studying visual art at Melbourne Polytechnic. I would be a great addition to your lovely home because I am a friendly, considerate, responsible, clean and tidy person. I am from Melbourne and have lived here for most of my life but I am looking to move away from my family home and become more independent. In the time I'm not at Tafe or studying I like to sing and play my guitar (not to loudly), read, draw and binge some Netflix. I've recently started to learn yoga and meditation and I'm loving every second of it! Nature and animal lover. I'm looking for a place preferably close to the Melbourne Polytechnic Preston Campus with at least one other female flatmate.
Hi, I'm moving back to Melbourne with my 2 small kids, thought I'd look into living with another single mum. Flexible on area though need to consider schools and long-term viability in the area for the kids. Kids are 2 and 4. I'll most likely be working full-time in the city so needs to be near a train line. We are easy-going, I'm quiet. They are not. Before kids: I loved reading, writing, movies, live bands. Now, Paddington 2 is my favourite movie. Can't wait to get back to Melbourne. We would probably need 2 rooms, though the kids' room could be flexible as a shared play-space, and they usually sleep with me. We love pets. We love rational and kind people.
Hey everyone, Im looking for a nice home with a super warm friendly vibe that also has a backyard. I'm a bit of a maker and meddler, I like to sew, paint and draw so I'm often in my room on my own playing around, cranking some groovy tunes. I would love to live with a little group of caring souls. People that are down to get a bit silly sometimes and to just have a good old giggle, but also down to have a chat when you've had a bit of a shit one. I need people around that care about people, about mumma nature, and about animals. Home to me is like my little paradise escape, so I like to keep it looking nice and clean and well spruced. I love to garden, I'm currently doing a permaculture course and It would be great to use some of the skills I've learnt in my own backyard. I would love to live somewhere where I can help out in the garden or start a super garden up. I'm also about to start studying Chinese medicine full time, which I'm pretty damn excited about, the study load is quite intense so I will be at uni a lot. I'm also working part time. I've got a super cute grey fluffster cat called Smog, he loves a head butt and he loves a prawn apart from that he's a chiller and very well behaved. I'm a vego, but every now and then I've been busted eating a little squid ring 😳 I'm 28, I grew up in Tasmania, I smoke a few cigs here and there, I drink a little wine, have a little fun. I love good music and delicious food. I cook a mean curry! Also I've got a beautiful partner- Oscar, absolute babe/legend who I spend a fair bit of time with. If you think I might fit in nicely in your house please get in touch. Thanks, Haley 🍂
