Quiet person non smoker, currently doing an internship in social media marketing. Love animals. Not much of a socialite but wouldn't mind sharing accommodation with a few nice people, good with computers and a little artsy when the itch strikes. Spend a majority of my free time online, mostly gaming, so good internet is a must personally and professionally. Enjoy FFXIV, Dota 2, Overwatch, Dip into WoW on occasion ( Both factions c: ) pubg, little bit of csgo. Great things we could enjoy/get mad at together as roomies, would love to meet someone irl with some shared interests in these. Don't own a car to hog your driveway space and clean up after myself. Don't mind if you're loud (had a roommate that practiced drums every week) or smoker of any kind. Looking to live anywhere in the Newcastle area and suburbs close to bus lines. Prefer bills included in rent, but fine if they aren't. Currently live in mayfield and planning to move anytime after 7th Feb and before 21st, I do have money saved for a bond. I've got a flawless rental history (3 years) and never been behind on payment, can provide references on request. Also I'm currently not a student so please don't message me with strictly Student-Only accommodation.
Hi I’m Lisha, I’m 20 & moving to Newcastle to start my first year of study at UON. I like to live a happy, healthy & productive life; socialising with friends, exploring nature, staying active, working in hospitality & now soon to be studying. I would love nothing more than for my future roommate(s) to become my friend(s) so living together can be fun & comfortable. I am a tidy person who always cleans up after myself because I’m not a fan of mess & I repesct personal space as I myself like to have alone time. So if you’re looking for a new roomie & like what you’re reading, let me know! :)
I hate writing things about myself, but facts are always good. 1. I got a rock stuck in my head once by riding my bike with my eyes closed 2. Sometimes I purposely mix up incompetent and incontinent because I think I'm hilarious 3. Kinda pretty passionate about human/animal rights, Australian music and plants. From Brisbane, just sussing out all of my options as I'm looking to move to Newcastle for study and am not particularly fond of paying for a whole place by myself just yet. I have two cats, Toilet Water and Pudge, they're weird. September is a ball park date, I'm studying secondary teaching in Brisbane this year and am just taking things as they come. Majoring in English and minoring in Philosophy if all goes to plan. Endless existential conversations are lovely.
Hey I am super easy going and don’t let things that other people do bother me too much. I am a neat and tidy person who won’t leave a mess too long before I clean it up. I’m an artist and also learning dressmaking so have a fairly creative personality. Animals are my favourite thing and I would love to find a pet friendly place for the future but it’s not a deal breaker :^)
Moving to work full time (8-6pm, Monday to Friday) around the Hunter in allied health. When home, I am clean and respect the privacy of others but don't mind a small chat here and there. Hobbies include newfound love of the beach, spotting furbabies on the sidewalk and exploring new coffee and brunch venues. Non smoker and (regretfully) no pets. Can be flexible with the move in date and open to long term stay. Would prefer females only. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions
I'm looking at moving to Newcastle from Brisbane in Jan. Have a full time job in a salon as a 3rd year apprentice so happy to give free haircuts to my housemates. I'm super social and always down for a drink or a chill night at home. I love music so there's always music playing or i'm out at gigs. Clean and tidy and a great cook. Looking to make friends not just have housemates.
I'm easy going, tidy and always pay rent on time. I have a 5 year old golden retriever who is very well trained and very lazy. I have a whole house worth of furniture which can be used or put in storage. I'm in the RAAF and work at Williamtown. I travel to Brisbane about once a month so I need someone who loves dogs to be able to feed him when I'm gone.
I'm moving up from Canberra to study at UoN, so looking for somewhere to live. I'm not too concerned about the where, what matters to me is that I'm living with kind, chill and friendly people.
Looking for something available from the end of January/ early Feb Willing to pay bit more for a room with ensuite. Ideally with 2 other roommates. Close to the beach and work. Currently working as an Enrolled Nurse permanent part time hours at Lingard Private hospital and commencing study February at UoN doing my bachelors in Nursing. I like living in a clean environment and respect peoples space and personal belongings, love socialising but also love my down time and space. I am wanting to explore more places and would love a roommate who is down for that during our spare time :) I work some night shifts and weekends so I’m not interested in a party house but happy to have chilled drinks or a night out when appropriate.
Hey I'm Georgia, an easy-going, friendly uni student! I love the beach and any time outdoors, but also enjoy relaxing at home. I am clean, respectful and appreciate personal space, and am hoping to move in with people who are keen to not just be flatmates but spend time together at home. I love a good market, op-shop trip or hike, and am very keen to have a veggie garden! I work part time and like getting involved in the community, and am very reliable with bills. I am happy to live with pets too. I enjoy a bit of banter and would love to live with other friendly, like-minded people who enjoy nature, good food and occasional drinks. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi :) I am coming to Newcastle end of December and I'm looking for a room in shared house. From January to April I'll be doing a full-time internship as part of my Applied Physics studies. Currently, I am based in The Netherlands, where I go to university. I like cooking, socializing, and every now and then go into my own bubble to recharge. Dancing is a great part of my life, I really like salsa, zouk and other types of latin dances. I speak 4 languages (English, Dutch, Spanish and Papiamento). If you have a room, or think we could be good housemates, let me know :) Other questions are welcome as well! Cheers, Andrew
Fun, respectful, adventure seeking - hiking, biking, fitness/F45, like to talk about interesting things, Netflix and chill :) I have two adorable fluff balls (cats) who keep me amused and must stay with me so looking for cool flatties who will accept my BYO cats! I'm moving to Newcastle to seek a life change and just scored a great job.. so now Con, Firley and I just need a place to live.
Hi, my name is Ruby, Im a permanent part time dental nurse based in Hamilton. Im clean and tidy, I enjoy a social drink with friends but I currently work a lot so I value my down time. Im looking for a nice room close to the Islington/Hamilton area with easy going, kind people.
What's more interesting than a girl who has a cat and can't manage to wake up for her 8am lecture? I'd say I have a lot to offer but even my own girlfriend won't netflix and chill with me.
I enjoy being sociable but also I enjoy my own space and free time
Hi, I’m Alicia. I have lots of different hobbies. I like to bake and can make macaroons. I have a sewing machine so I can repair your clothes but it does need it’s own space. I’m very active I play team sports mainly AFL at the moment but I can also play soccer, basketball and netball. I also try to get to the gym everyday of the week but when I’m at home I like to chill in front of the TV. I mainly watch ABC and SBS and have never watched an episode of the Bachelor. I like live comedy and music. I have been living by myself for the past year so I may not be as neat as most people. I’m happy to share household chores but not spending every weekend cleaning. I have my own furniture including a fridge so I am not looking for a place in an already furnished house.
i'm looking for a home! i've been trapped in semi-rural maitland for six months and i'm looking at moving back into town. i work, eat well and respect privacy. mostly i'll be found tinkering on a new project, lazing around with a book, working around the garden or on my writing. i'm also tidy, find solace is cleaning and prefer to do my required socialising outside of the house. finding enviro concious housemates i can not only coexsist with but create friendships with is the absolute ideal!! looking to move asap anywhere from georgetown to merewether (with islington being the central point) but not much further outside of those boundaries. i'm an experienced renter and can back up with references and receipts if you need reassurance that i can pay all bills on time. please hit me up with a message if youre offering a room that might suit!
I am from France and I arrived in Australia 2 years ago so my English is not so broken anymore! I like to meet new people, share a good laugh and few drinks. I respect privacy and enjoy some alone time sometimes. I like sports (surf and rock climbing mainly) and nature. I'm studying conservation and land management and I work part-time. I am clean and tidy and like to cook (especially desserts !!). I am an outside smoker only.
I am a 22-year-old uni student, looking to team up with a couple of people or find a room in a house in Newcastle. I have just finished my first year of Bachelor of Visual Communication Design and also work casually as a disability support worker. I only work day shifts so am usually at home of a night. I enjoy socialising with other housemates but also like time to myself. On weekends I like to go to the beach, catch up with friends, go for day trips to new places and occasionally have a few mates over for drinks and a platter before going out. I do have a 1-year-old kitten Nala, she is timid at first but once she gets to know you she is super loving, friendly and playful. I am currently keeping her as an indoor cat but at the right property, I would like to let her be able to go outside if she wants. She is house trained so won't claw at furniture and uses a litter tray. I have lived out of home for 2 years, however, wasn't officially on a lease so don't have a rental record. I am a very tidy person who will sometimes be up for a chat, dinner together and some drinks but also love time to myself and respect that of others. If you're interested then I'd love to meet up for a chat and a coffee!
Hey, I'm Rachel! I'm a full time uni student and I also work part-time at Genesis Fitness. I enjoy being active or just being outdoors in general but of course I don’t pass up quiet days in! Not much of a drinker nor do I party much so I can be quite the nanny :’). But nonetheless, I’d like to meet some likeminded people and hopefully become great friends/roommates :) I’ll be overseas from the end of January to the 23rd of Feb so looking to try and move ASAP when I get back!
Hello, my name is Sharnay. I’m 31, work part time and from February will be studying as well ( a building design diploma at tafe.). I moved to Newcastle about six months ago from Byron Bay for work and plan on staying here for at least the next 18 months while I finish my course. I have lived in share houses before so am well versed in all that entails ( being respectful, cleaning up after yourself and paying bills on time!) so am definitely looking for people who feel the same way. I would like to be able to live with people I can have a wine and a laugh with while watching tv, but also are cool just doing our own things. Definitely not looking for a party house as I like my house to feel like a home. In my spare time I like doing yoga, walking on the beach, spending time with my family and finding new things to try, whether it’s a sport or a restaurant or an event. But when I’m home I want it to be a sanctuary that’s clean and comfortable to just chill. Any questions just ask! Sharnay.
We are ardent travellers in the weekends while working/volunteering full time in the weekdays. My wife Hari volunteers at several places around Newcastle and I work at the University as a researcher. We love to meet new people and make friends :-)
Hi I’m looking to find some roommates to find a house or apartment with me. I’ve got everything to furnish it so you’d just have to furnish your own bedroom. I’m in the process of looking at properties in Wickham, Maryville and Carrington. If you’re interested in teaming up let me know! I work also full time and am doing a PhD in creative writing part time. :)
Hi! I'm a full time art student - starting degree in Natural History Illustration next year at UON.. and work weekends in retail. Long term preferred. Looking for a large room - I have a drawing table+computer desk I'll need to fit in there, I’ll probably downsize to a double bed so I can squeeze more into a room. not a big party person, being 30(ish) i prefer red wine and cheese platters to beer bongs, but do enjoy a good bevvy filled banter in the yard and a cheeky night out once in a while. veggie patch (or potential for one) and a nice yard space would be awesome. red wine is the nectar of the gods and cheese platters complete with crackers, dips and cured meat selection are dinners of champions who can't be bothered with real food. chocolate is a constant. disney isn't just for kids. quite happy to be anywhere on the scale of keeping to ourselves or becoming BFF's. i have a very clean indoor/outdoor cat. gypsy, she's a beautiful ginger kitty, v. small. she kinda hates everyone (not mad just very very shy). so won't be all up in your business. spends most of her time asleep in the shade or on my bed at night. If i can give her access outside via a window in my room she's likely to not ever venture into other parts of the house. not a clean freak so I’m not going to lose the plot if you leave a dish out for a day but if things start growing in the sink and fridge that's not cool.
Hi I'm looking for a place for me and my small dog. I would like to do a team up or move in with someone who would let me have my small dog, I have two jobs so won't be home often.
I'm from Canberra, coming to Newcastle for University. This is my first time living out of home but I'm very independent and able to cook, clean, manage finances easily etc. I'm very easy going and love to have a good laugh. I'll be studying electrical engineering, so will often be cramming or on campus. I'll be working part-time also. Would like the option of having my cat with me but my family are also happy to take her. Feel free to contact me if you think I'd be suited.
