Dutch guy, 25, working holiday maker looking to stay for a while in Melbourne and find a nice room and job in hospitality or office. About me - in the last 6 months I've quit my job in the Netherlands, booked a one way ticket to Melbourne, worked about 2 months in dairy farming, went on a 2 month roadtrip through Tasmania and walked the Overland track. I'm easy going, open minded, like yoga, cooking, calisthenics and having fun. As a roommate I'm neat, you can join me for dinner and would be great to have a drink together every now and then.
Hi, I'm Liam, a 34 year old researcher from Melbourne. I'm looking for a place to call home in the Northcote/Thornbury area. I'm independent and like to keep busy, but would also like to socialise sometimes (eg, drink, chat and dinner) with my housemates. In my spare time I like to hang with friends, watch the occasional footy match (but I'm not totally sports mad), and generally get out and about. I'm neat and tidy and would like to live in a nice environment, which means I will do my share of the housekeeping to keep the house looking nice. Liam. P.S. I've said I'm looking for six months, but that is a min, not max.
I am from Hong Kong and 30 years old. A social worker in Hong Kong and is moving to Australia for 1 year working holiday by the end of April. I am planning to stay in Melbourne for 6 months and may explore another Australian city in the future. Unlike other working holiday-ers, who may plan to do a lot of temporary and unstable jobs, I am planning to be a free-lance handcrafting person who produce my own handmade products to sell online and in craft markets during weekends. I love handicrafts and homemade stuff that I would like to try developing into business. Therefore, I will be staying at home a lot to do handcrafting stuff, but I promise that I am focusing on accessories kind of products which will not create noise and dirt in the production process to disturb you or other flatmates. And I would have enough money to pay the rent punctually even my salary may not be stable. I have lived in shared accommodation when I studied in UK, sharing kitchen and bathroom with 5 flatmates. I also lived in student accommodation when I did my undergraduate in Hong Kong, sharing a room with 2 roommates, and sharing the kitchen and bathroom with 10+ floormates. Therefore I would say I am experienced in sharing a flat and keep everything clean and tidy all the time.

I'm 22 years old from the US and am moving to Australia for a year on my Work and Holiday visa. I'm ideally looking to live with other travelers who want to explore together, or social locals who want to show their city off. I plan to be spending most of the time that I'm not at work out and about. Home is mostly just where I sleep, shower, and keep my belongings. I am very good at staying out of my roommates way. I've lived with 7 other girls in a 3 room house with one bathroom and we made it work well. I know how to be respectful of your space, I can address issues without being harsh, and resolve conflict peacefully. That being said, I am a very social person and I love being able to spend time with my roommates. We live together, so lets L I V E together! I love cooking and experimenting with recipes. Family style dinners are fun and I like to try to do them once in a while. In my down time I like to practice yoga, hoop dance, get lost around town, go out for drinks, meet new people, and spend time in nature.
I work at a school in the design department, helping kids design and build their creations. I love to cook and i'm always happy to help out my house mates with anything they need! I also love to rock climb, paint and build things!
I am a food lover, love to eat and love to cook. I will be in Melbourne for my further studies. But I will be working part time also. I am interactive guy, who loves food, movies, discussing current issues, learn different cuisine and love to take pictures. I am clean person and will keep my surrounding tidy. People say I am trustworthy guy whom they can rely for any task given to me in my capacity.
Hi I'm Rachel, 25 years old and working full time in the CBD in a Social Housing job. I am from England and have been travelling South East Asia and Australia for the past year. I love food, eating out, meeting people and gaming. I am a relatively good cook and I'm a tidy person, I clean up after myself. I'm not a huge party person but am always partial to a glass of wine or a gin! I'm currently in a house share with 5 men, so I have more of a preference to live with girls! Thanks :)
We're 30 yo, mature (no crazy party people), responsible people. We've been living alone as well as with flatmates for over 10 years. We keep it clean. Respectfull towards those around us. Animal-friendly, non-smokers, punctual when it comes to paying rent & bills. Pretty quiet people, but always up for a good chat. If you need more information: feel free to ask.
Scott and I both love traveling and being out and about. He is from London and I am from San Francisco, and we'll both be moving on to Oz on the working holiday visa -- we're super excited about the move. We love exploring, eating (and trying to make) great food, and chilling as well. We're both really down-to-Earth people who are responsible and ready to see what Melbourne has to offer!
I am a very friendly human. I am clean and respectful. I have absolutely no problem with my flatmates having people over, with certain boundaries of course. I like making friends and having people to hang out with but I can also give space if needed. I am of the idea that if you respect me and my stuff I respect you and your stuff, I like having my privacy but that doesn't mean I like being Isolated. I have no problem sharing stuff as long as each of us takes proper care of whatever we are sharing. I enjoy cooking, so making dinner instead of eating out or ordering in is definitely an option. I have no problem with pets, in fact, I love them, unfortunately I can't bring mine with me. I am active and like exercising every day, so if you are up for it we can workout. I am also fairly social on weekends and don’t mind ocasional night outs. I do not smoke but I have no problem with people doing it. I guess thats the gist of it, so see you soon flatmate.
Hella fellow people, my names Bella. Im Friendly, kind, tidy, respectful and responsible. Im reasonably social so im always up for a good chat but i do love my own quiet time too, im not loud nor bothersome and im very independent. I do currently study part time and am searcing for part time work too so I'll mostly be in my room tired but i still come out to chat. Im not overly antisocial. Im from originally from out in the country but have lived in the outter suburbs of Melbourne for quite a few years. I'm currently 16 but am mature and responsible so i hope my age wont be much of a problem for you. Photography is a big passion of mine and Im very family oriented so i might be away most weekends visiting my family but of course pay rent and bills on time. I love animals, I've been around them my whole life and get along with them just fine. I get along with basically everyone so i wont be causing any dramas what so ever. Thank you for having a look here, i hope to hear from you!
Hi :) I'm down to earth, considerate, clean and outdoorsy. I exercise regularly rotating between paddle boarding, Yoga and Pilates. In my spare time, I like to paint, cook, bake and eat out - if I have a book I'd call it eat eat eat! I work in business and tourism department business hours. I also run a charity project so my schedule is pretty full but I like to have some downtime for myself too. My fun time involve water sport and sunshine, music, good food and travelling. I'm addicted to travel - I've been to Ethiopia, China, Taiwan and most countries in South East Asia, Italy, Switzerland and Sweden. I'm looking for a housemate/s who is like minded, easy going, respectful, clean and not afraid to share a laugh. Isaya x
I’m a local student studying commerce. Really friendly with good banter. Very laidback, I love cooking and going to the gym. I work thurs-fri-sat-sun nightshift and sleep in the day. At uni all day on Wednesday’s and Fridays. Hard-working and always on the go but when I’m at home you’ll find that I’m easy to talk to
Hey! I'm currently doing year 1 in University of Melbourne, planning to major in Computing related area. I'm really easy to get along with and I'm clean, tidy and responsible. I'm from Korea but I stayed in Singapore for the past 11 years. In addition to English and Korean, I can speak Chinese as well! During my free time I'm probably catching up on shows or playing games, I might do some cooking as well(though I am not great at it). I recently picked up skateboarding as a hobby as well! Looking forward to meeting my new flatmate(s) :)
Hi! I’m a 21yo musical theatre student studying in South Melbourne. I’m from Geelong but looking to take a jump and move to Melbourne. As I’m a coffee loving, wine loving, vegetarian, triple j obsessed kinda kid I’d ideally like to live near Fitzroy. I am a Lush employee also so a place would a bath would warm my little heart. I like dogs, plants and people alike. I will happily bring my records collection and stash of books with me, along side a long list of musicals I think are fantastic (I do enjoy non singing films also haha) I’m the kind of housemate who would love to sit for a chat and a cuppa/bevvy, and occasionally stumble home with you. However my course is pretty intense so during school terms I’ll be pretty tame. I also love home cooking and will happily share food items :) Hope to hear from you soon! - Alysha
Mathematician seeks interesting units to share an interesting year(+?) with. Been playing the housesharing game for the better part of a decade as I've wandered from place to place, so have seen the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful, and am hoping to find some more of the latter in Melbourne. Stimulating conversation is the most important food group; prefer an environment occupied by people who won't remain strangers for long and will treat the place with the respect of a home rather than just a house. Work doesn't leave a whole lot of free time, but carving out the right niche to spend it in is key - mostly this just means being surrounded by warm, mature, active, and conscientious people who know where they're going in life (knowing some secret spots around Melb is a bonus too). Colin P.S. I'm pretty easy with the move date and exact location around Melb; don't take the mentioned time/place too seriously.
We are a young couple both working full time. We have lived all over the world including in Canada, New Zealand and most recently, spent the last 8 months living in Germany. I (David) am originally from New Zealand but have lived in Melbourne on and off in the last seven years. I am currently working as a graduate lawyer at a law firm in the city after completing my law degree in early 2017. This means that I usually work pretty long hours during the day - I'm usually out of the house by 7.30 in the morning and back around 7.30 at night. Caroline is from Germany but will be moving to Melbourne to start her full time job as a German teacher at a primary school in Fitzroy. This means she will be working regular school hours during the week. We are both super social, having lived both together and separately in many different countries, including Hungary, Canada, NZ, Germany, Singapore and the US. This means we both have been exposed to a wide range of personalities and can get along with almost everyone so long as they are respectful. We have both lived away from home for the last 5+ years so we understand the importance of paying rent on time as well as respecting common space and cleaning up after ourselves. As we both have stable salaries, paying rent and bills won't be an issue. During the week we will both be working but like to go out for meals or cook at home during the evening (always happy to share!) We are both very social and would ideally like housemates who are up for a chat every now and then. We aren't opposed to doing stuff together but respect your privacy also. On weekends we will almost always get out of the house, whether to go for a surf or explore the latest cafes and bars in Melbourne. If we sound like a great fit, please get in touch :)
