Hello, my wife and I are arriving at Newcastle on 2 of April and we are looking for room to stay for 1 week, or maybe 2, while we find a reserved place to live longer term. She is going to do post graduate research at UoN but we have preference to live close to the JH Hospital or to the beach.
Friendly, adaptable full time student looking for a place in between the beach and uni. Pretty neat and tidy, happy to help chip in with the chores and always down for some quiet drinks. Half Australian/Thai, I have spent a few years growing up in Singapore. I'm pretty relaxed, outgoing and I love spending time in the surf.
Hi there I'm Katie. I am looking to move into a new house share. I am looking for somewhere that has a good friendly vibe that allows pets as I don't have her yet but I really want to get a rescue puppy. I am 26 years old working as a social worker, keen to meet new people and live in a relaxed tidy house. I'm a pretty chilled person and don't have a preference re genders of House mates Message me for more details. Also happy to start a new share house :) Thanks Katie
Hi, I am Natalie, 29 years old and from Europe. I will start a PhD position in Newcastle by the end of April and am searching for a furnished room in a shared house or flat. I am sociable and like hanging out with my flatmates but also respect everyones privacy. My hobbies are climbing, cooking, hanging out with friends and yoga.
I work full time and study by distance. On my weekends I enjoy catching up with friends and exploring Newcastle. I have family only a few hours drive away so visit them often.
Hey, I'm tayla! I am moving to Newcastle to work as a paramedic in April. I'm posted at Birmingham Gardens station so anywhere within reasonable driving distance is sweet. I'm easy going and sociable so looking for someone likeminded. I've lived in share houses and always enjoyed the social aspect of doing so. Ideally I'd like to live with someone I can get to know and have a laugh with. Give me a yell for more info :)
Hi I'm a full time student studying IT/business while working part time. I'm clean and tidy and fairly quiet. I enjoy doing things like having house dinners and other social things like that. I keep fairly busy with sport outside of work and uni which can mean I'm not home often.
Hiya, my name's Laura. I'm 20 years old and study nursing. I'm a free-spirited person, respectful and love a few beers with mates. With that said, I'm not a party person, just enjoy a good social hour. Lauren travelled over here on a travel visa from the U.K. early last year and decided she had fallen in love with Australia so much that she decided to stay! We are looking for a house close to the city, and will have a house mascot of Piper my cat (she's a bit of an asshole but she's the cuddliest cat you'll ever meet). Message me if you're interested! :)
My name's Mitch, I'm 19. I'm employed full time in IT I work a shift roster. 4 on 4 off, totaling 48 hours over an 8 day rotation. When I'm at home I enjoy relaxing. Usually at my computer, listening to music or reading a book. I'd like a casual and laid back living environment, yet clean and social :)
Hey, my name is Zoe and I'm eighteen years old, I'm currently searching for a place to move whether that be to a share house or a new house where I can find roommates of my own to move in as well :) I'm extremely friendly, I'm quiet but social, I'm very clean, I don't party rarely ever, same goes with drinking and I don't smoke or do drugs of any kind, I'm very much into makeup, piercings and tattoos, I don't currently have a job but I am looking for one and am receiving help from a job provider for that, I get Centrelink money and my grandparents will be helping me out financially until I have found a job, I love animals of all kinds, I have a boyfriend who I see quite frequently and who stays over night once a week and visits during the day twice a week, but he will not be living with me, if anyone is interested in finding a house with me or if anyone has a spare room I can rent please send me a message, I'm happy to answer any questions :)
Hi! My name is Kim, I'm 28 and work as a Beauty/Laser Therapist. I'm looking for one or two people around the same age as me to rent a house. I own a dog, a 20kg groodle named Sunny. She's well behaved and has heaps of energy. I'd prefer to live with someone who doesn't have any pets - we've lived with two other dogs at one stage and it was too much! Cats are definately a no-go because Sunny loses her mind over them sorry. I'm very clean and tidy, respectful of other's space and super friendly. Love having a laugh, make a mean cheese platter, love a glass of red and I'm always down for a chat. I like to entertain every now and again or get dressed up to go to a bar. I am by no means a party animal (I'm saving to buy a house) and don't want to live in a party house. On weekends I like to get outdoors, go to the beach, go to cafes or markets, take Sunny for walks and just generally be social with friends. Looking for someone who is a normal, functioning adult that is a non-smoker. I own bits and pieces but no larger items such as fridge, washing machine etc so it would be great if I could team up with someone who has those things already! I work full time so $$$ is no issue and I always pay rent on time. If you're interested send me a message :)
Hey I'm Tom :) looking for a new start, only lived out of home once for a few months so pretty new to all this! I've spent the past few months saving heaps of money to get me on my way to moving out of home :) I'm not currently studying, but work for Coles where I can get a transfer to just about anywhere that has work to offer. Hoping to move into a place in a pretty nice part of Newy that's fairly close to everything, I have a car so being a little further out isn't a huge issue either. I'm a pretty outgoing and social person, love making new mates :) I'm originally from England and have lived in Aus for just over 5 years now
Hi there, my name is Celeste. I have a fat rabbit named Hugo and a small sausage dog cross named Lola. We're looking to move out pretty soon. I work 9-5 Monday to Friday at a financial planning firm so I have a regular income and I'm pretty quiet when home. I have no problem with people who like to party or people who just like to come home to relax. I have also been known to pick people up from town at ridiculous hours (if that is helpful for you). I play the violin and I'd love to hear from you.
I'm a 28 year old female looking for a room to rent. I work full time, and am very clean and tidy and easy to get along with. I go to the gym every night and work most weekends as well. I do have a dog so would love if she could come with me. She is a pug and is super friendly and well behaved.
Hey there, My name is Stephanie and I am a full time (mon-fri) Registered Nurse looking to find a room somewhere in the Newcastle area. I am a very chilled person with an outgoing nature but also like my alone time and can respect other people's personal space and privacy too. It would be great to make friends with my roomies, I have a great sense of humour. =D I am a non smoker, enjoy good company and would like to be part of friendly atmosphere. I like to keep clean and tidy and am willing to help with this is joint areas. I enjoy gaming, going out and having drinks with friends just as much as I like cooking and having a quiet night in. I have an indoor Burmese cat called Cleo who has a lovely nature, it would be great if she could come with me but doesn't have to (I can arrange for her to stay elsewhere). Also have own white goods and furniture but if not needed can put it in to storage. Swing us a text if you wanna meet up if you think I might be a suitable roomie. =)
Im 20 years old and am an extremely social and friendly person, but I also enjoy keeping to myself at times. I am very clean and have to live in a tidy area. I'm looking to move in with females only. I am a very creative and artsy person, and I sing and play some acoustic guitar and piano so a room mate would have to be ok with that. I like to get out of the house a lot, and spend most of my time at the beach. Im also starting at Newcastle uni this feb. That's pretty much it!
40 High school teacher Quiet, respectful and collaborative flatmate. My job requires me to be gone 7am to 4pm. Can and willing to contribute to the household in any manner conducive to harmony and functionality. Varied interests and hobbies.
I am working full time at a bakery which means free bread! I am vegetarian and I play soccer and go to yoga and rock climb, all of which I'd love someone to accompany me to! I'm easy going and quiet, just looking for some flatmates.
I'm career driven, and quite social so I'm not home a lot. Easy to get along with and enjoy actually getting to know my fellow housemates. My specialty is putting on a casual Sunday BBQ or roast for the crew. I'm potentially transferring to Syd with work (office is in North Sydney), so putting the feelers out for what's available.
I'm a junior doc working at the hospital, easy going and social :) Would love to live with others working in the hospital or full-time work elsewhere. Just need a place in a nice location (preferably near the beach/darby st) with a room big enough for a double bed and a large study table. Have a fair bit of studying to do so so would like the place to be relatively quiet... Have always lived with others so quite used to sharing the place and always keep the common areas clean. PM me if you meet the criteria :)
Working full time, will be based in Newcastle for a total of 5 months (20 weeks) from mid April to early September, looking for a room in a quiet house (ideally no parties/pets/smokers). Will be away most weekends
i work as a barista so already I have your attention. I'm up at 4:30am most morning so I will need to be with people who don't mind me getting up that early. I tend to kept to myself but don't mind a "family" BBQ and a couple of drinks. Just looking for somewhere that makes it feel like home and not like I'm bothering and inconvenience to anyone. I'm clean and I'm a massive push over so I'll be deso for you. Just like to see people happy.
Hi, I am looking for accomodation in newcastle for 6 months. I am studying medicine full time and just returning from exchange in Norway. I am quite and respectful to live with, but enjoy socialising occasionally.
Hey! Myself and a friend are looking to rent a house in Newcastle and are looking for a third room mate. Max rent would be $150 a week, house would be fully furnished, can furnish a bed room for you if need be! There's one dog and two cats. All household appliances will also be provided. We are looking to move asap! I am 19 and studying Primary Teaching at uni, he is 26 and also studying Primary Teaching. We are both clean and organised people, go out occasionally but not wild drinkers. Neither of us smoke or do drugs. Call or message me
I am a 27yr old professional working in his own video production business. I also work a side job that helps bring in constant cash flow. I am a self-sufficient guy who works a lot and during downtime likes to chill and switch off by spending time either watching a film, tv series or reading a book. Would love to find somewhere to live by mid Jan
Hi there, I'm Blake. I am currently in my final year of studying a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Newcastle. In my spare time I enjoy rockclimbing, kayaking and swimming. I am tidy, quiet, clean, and love cooking. Rental needs to be LGBTI friendly, unfurnished and non-smoking 😎. Looking to move ASAP. feel free to send a text and tell me a bit about the room, and who I would be living with.
Happy, quiet, responsible, pay rent on time, likes and gives respect to others. Keeps active, looking for a long term with all bills included. Prefers not overcrowded places. Close to transport. Likes Pets. I have my own bed, looking for a private room. Not into parties, enjoys day living, walking, gardening at times. The locations 1) in the Newcastle choices have to be close to the Princes Highway to help me catch the 350 bus route bound to Swansea early morning, this bus is frequent during peak times which sets my traveling time very tight during non-peak hours. or 2) In the Revesby area or 3) in North Parramatta or 4) in Bankstown
Hello! I'm 25 years old, born and bred in Newcastle, and having just returned from overseas am looking for somewhere new to call home. Over the years I've lived with males and females, friends and strangers of varying ages, and in places ranging from 14 beds to cosy little terraces, so I'm very much aware of respecting personal space/possessions (but I also like to be social and have the odd dinner or share a bottle of wine or six when time permits). I'm in the final year of my degree this year (and working part-time) so I am looking for somewhere relatively chill whilst I'm up to my neck in study. I'm an easy-going and liberal kind of person so whatever you're into there's no dramas on my end, but I just can't be living in a trap house. I do also like to keep things pretty clean and tidy (within reason), so I'm looking to live with like-minded people in that regard. I'm very conscious of being respectful and cleaning up after myself properly, so to that end you're never going to find a dirty kitchen bench/sink full of dishes/washing machine full of half-damp laundry/bathroom sink full of beard when you get home and just want to relax. If you've got some kind of cleaning routine just let me know what you need me to take over and we're good. I stay pretty active and in my spare time I love to surf, run and box. On top of that I really enjoy cooking for myself and for others (I don't eat meat but it's just a personal choice and I couldn't care less if you do), and if I'm feeling lazy you can find me draped over a piece of furniture with a book at any given hour. Alternatively, if you have a pet I will spend the vast majority of my life patting it, and if it's a dog I'm very happy to run it for you if you ever need. Now that you have this riveting insight into my existence, please get in touch if you've got any questions or if you'd like to meet up for a drink/chat! Cheers.
I am a 30yr old professional looking to move from Brisbane. I will be working long hours, but enjoy having a wine, cheese and crackers, and netflix. I like exercising, enjoy going on walks and cooking. I am clean, not a big party person, but excited to explore what Newcastle has to offer!
19, really easy going bloke, don't really care who I live with so long as you're friendly, polite and clean. I have some good stuff coming along with me like my brand new tv, my Xbox and PlayStation, my surround sound system. Have my own bed too. I am a security guard so I work weekend nights mostly but I am quite social and do like to have friends over occasionally on a weeknight for drinks.
Hi there, My girlfriend and I (Abe from Australia and Miri from Germany) have recently moved back to Australia and are looking for somewhere to live while Miri completes a graduate certificate at the Uni and I am working. We enjoy the outdoors, meeting new people and are generally pretty relaxed people.
Hey guys 👋🏻 I've just moved up from sydney to Newcastle for work. I am an easy going hard working lad who enjoying chilling out in the week days and living up on the weekend. If you enjoying socialising and having a drink or two we will get along fine!! I've just won't an 17 month contact in Cardiff so I'm here for the long run . So please contact me if you need any more information about my self. Thanks again ☺
Hi future housemate, I am 33yrs old, and I work full-time full-time for a Construction Company in Beresfield. I am very clean, reliable for paying rent and bills on time, I am easy to get along with, easy to talk to and I am a great listener, oh and I hate drama in a household so communication is a big plus for me. I do have a 6 month old puppy Bella who is toilet trained and she is a small dog (Maltese X Terrior) so I would prefer someone who is a dog lover. I am ready to move in by the 11-03-17. If you would like to know more about me, just send me a text or a message :)
Hey hey! I moved to Canberra about 4 years ago and I'm ready to come and see what the water tastes like in Newy. I'm not planning to move until halfway into June as I've started studying Veterinary nursing and I'm also working full time but I'm super keen to find a nice chill house to move into when June arrives. I've spent my time in Canberra living on campus for 2 years and living in a share house for the other 2 years. I love my housemates, I'm always respectful and tidy and we always enjoy having a good laugh so it'd be nice to find something similar. Message me if you want to know more, I'm looking for preferably low maintenance and modern accommodation in the Bar beach/Mereweather area. I also have a few good mates living in Adamstown so it'd be sick if I was near enough to there. Peace 😎✌️
Studying while working part time. Looking for a nice place to live preferably close to the beach. I love to play sport, socialise with friends and make new friends. I'm easy going and clean.
Hey I'm Bree 20 years old and have just moved back to Newcastle after living in Melbourne for just over a year. I don't do too much besides work and take photos or the occasional jam if theres a drum kit in sight for me to bang on. Due to my circumstances I need to move out. The catch is I have my 2 year old female Border Collie/Labrador to take with me. She is an absolute gem, is happy being either inside or outside (she is toilet trained), gets along with cats & kids but does have a jealous tendency with other dogs (on the rare occasion) so preferably looking for somewhere where she is the only dog! I'm pretty chilled and laid back, so is Mia but she'll be your best friend if you do want to take her to the beach or throw the ball for 5 hours for her :)
Hi, I'm Scott. 31 year old professional who works full-time at the university. Friendly, easygoing guy who enjoys socialising with housemates over a shared meal, drink, outing or relaxing in front of the TV. But also appreciate that people need their own time and space and have their own life, as do I. Happy to strike the balance that suits the people I live with. As a housemate, I am laid back, clean and tidy and happy to do my share of the housework and anything else that it takes to make living together easier for everyone. Have been living in Merewether Heights in a share house for the past year, however the couple are expecting their first child in about 6 weeks so looking for a new place. Ideally looking to find somewhere with people of similar age and/or stage of life in regards to work, socialising etc. I hope to find somewhere where everyone gets along and enjoys each others company so it feels like a home and living with friends rather than people renting rooms and sharing common spaces. Hope to hear from you soon. Scottie.
Hi! My name is Emily, I've just moved to Newcastle from Brisbane for a new job. I'll be working full time, I'm casual but organised, can't say no to chocolate, enjoy the beach, having a cocktail or wine and going to the gym. I love animals and I have a beautiful Great Dane named Nala. Don't be put off by her slightly larger than average dog size, she is clean, extremely well trained and loves a pat. Hoping to make friends with my new housemates who don't mind venturing to the beach, out for dinner or hanging out at home.
Hi I'm Leesa, I've just finished my qualification and I'm currently looking for work. I've been renting by myself for 4 years now, but I'm looking for something different. I would like to share a house with some flatmates that I can call friends and share common interests with. I'm honest, reliable, clean, respectful, a non-smoker and non-drinker. I enjoy listening to music, going out for coffee, going to the markets, movies and I love the beach. I have a well behaved 8 year old cat, who is a short-haired domestic tortoiseshell, she has a beautiful nature, (all worm and flea treatments are up to date) and I'm looking for a place that enjoys my cats company just as much as I do. I look forward to hearing from you.
Am a 35yr old male. looking for a place to call home. I an respectful to people & there personal space. Every easy going and I like a clean kitchen for some reason. Good movie A nice meal at a restaurant (save cooking right) Fitness 3x a week. Working my may up to 4 Spending time with family & friends. Unfortunately i am a smoker but very respectful of non smokers. It's a bad habit to stop.
First time moving out of home, can't stand the place anymore as one would understand. I'm 25, single, work full time as a carpenter. Very clean and tidy, quiet though very social. This will be the first time living with other people other then my family so I'm not sure how long I'd plan on staying. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
great cook, handy-electrician, I have two children which visit every second weekend. I enjoy surfing, motor bikes, etc. I used to be a chef and barman so thats where the cook comes from. I have also renovated a house which is where the handy comes from along with the fact that i am a licenced electrician. Additional storage would be handy as i have quite alot of tools etc but not essential.
This will probably be the most brutally honest flatmate add you will ever read. I am a full time employed person who love my own space so I will stay out of your way a lot but I am happy to have a drink and spend time with a fun flatmate. I love to cook and look after the space. I am pretty house proud. Here is the thing, I am looking for something very specific. I am single and would like to have fun without judgement. I will give and give to the house and the people in it but here are the things I need. A flat mate who ... Must be ok with - sex sounds - muffled screams - lesbian action (I am bi and sometimes enjoy the company of ladies) - jelly wrestling parties - group sex (it's ok, you can join in if you like!!) - BDSM themes Must not be A prude Also, no vegans. Sounds silly but I have loved with people who wouldn't let me cook meat in the house before soooo ... Nope. As you can see I am honest and straight forward ... What you see is what you get !! Male flatmate preferred. Purely because I usually get a long with males better, but I am happy to be proved wrong !! :)) Peace and love
I am a neat and tide type of person who is looking for a place to live for the first time out of the family home. I am not currently work but I am willing to do what ever needs to be done while I am around the house.
Hey :) My nickname is Chel. I am looking for a new humble abode as my current house is going on the market and the 2 girls I live with are going separate ways. Would like to live with 1-3 girls that are around my age. Ideally I would love to become friends or at least get along well. In other words movies and wine nights are welcome. But also like having my own space too. I recently finished studying a diploma of business majoring in events management. I have two jobs. One in reception and one in retail. I like bing watching shows like Gilmore girls all the way to Breaking Bad. Favourite foods are lasagne and a good o'l greasy burger. I am all about keeping the communal sections clean. I already own a couch, washing machine, small dining table and small fridge. For team ups. If you choose me I will let you be my guinea pig with the baked goods I make on my days off. I am up for a coffee to see if I am a compatible housemate :)
I'm friendly but not intrusive, quiet but not dead, neat and tidy but not to point of OCD. I can cook but I wont take over the kitchen and I clean up as I go. I am happy to share cleaning duties on a roster. I'll even take out the garbage bins and bring them in. I can chat about anything if that's what you need and I'll leave you alone when you need space.
I have an easy going nature, I am to converse with flatmates or keep to myself if that's what is preferred. I enjoy cooking & love to have people over for dinner. I watch an occasional tv show or a movie, but generally spend more of my time on my computer, reading or hanging out with friends or family. I have a background in IT, so i can be a very handy guy to know.
Hey l'm John :) I'm 24, working full time as a disability support worker and studying law part time. I'm an easy going guy looking for cool people to live with and a nice house to live in! l'm gay so it needs to be LGBT friendly :) message me if you have something you think l might be interested in!

I'm a 28-year old guy who's come Newcastle to study Elec Eng/ Health Science at UoN in addition to working. Originally from Sydney. I'd describe myself as having a cool, considerate nature with a good sense of humour. Strong believer of living fit, healthy & staying active. Love most sports and the outdoors! Usually much prefer cycling to commute to most places. Also very experienced in helping keep a household maintained and running smoothly :-) I'm looking for a simple room - or to share a nice place where I can study, work and be reasonable close to the Uni and the expressway as I do travel down to Syd some weekends. If you're after a housemate who's reliable, fun-loving & easygoing, then get in touch! Open to Teaming up to start a brand new place with cool, easygoing like-minded people - so if you think you'd be a contender (girls or guys) don't be shy haha.
2 young females looking for a place to stay somewhere close to Newcastle. Tara is a professional footballer and currently plays for the Newcastle Jets Women's team, as well as working at McDonalds and The Coffee Club. Clare is currently working 2 nannying jobs 5 days a week. We have recently adopted an 18 week old rescue kitten named Shadow and unfortunately that has made it harder to find a home. If we sound suitable for you, then please feel free to contact us and let us know :)
I'm Adam, I'm 18 years old, and I am currently studying Fitness at TAFE. I've recently moved into the Newcastle area to increase the chance of getting a full-time job. I am hoping to later get work in the fitness industry but for now, I am aiming for an apprenticeship of some sort as I have a few contacts around this area. My partner, Sara is also 18. She is working part-time at a physiotherapy company as a receptionist. She's also studying flexible hours for a business course. We're both non-smokers and non-drinkers. We're both quiet, neat, and live a healthy lifestyle, and enjoy the beach and the gym. We'd love to make some friends but also happy to keep to ourselves and enjoy our privacy. Together, we're able to pay anything around the $300-350 mark

Hello! I am studying full-time Nursing at the University of Newcastle. I'm really struggling financially to pay rent where I am currently and need to find somewhere a bit cheaper. I'm a very happy and easy to get along with (or so I have been told haha) girl who likes to have people around but also needs her space. I love hanging out with friends and socialising. I'm also a pretty laid back person. Would need the rent price to include internet, water usage, electricity/gas usage and any other charges. Hit me up with a message! :)
Looking for someone to live with as am currently looking to move and living on my own. I'm quiet and friendly and not into the party scene. I prefer a good book or movie than going to the pub or out on the town. I like to cook and make my own candles and jewellery as well as writing. I have a house worth of furniture including a couple of spare single beds but can store some if needed. Tinkabelle is an indoor/outdoor cat who stays in of a night and on rainy days. She is litter trained and is very quiet. She is about 7-8 years old and very sooky and affectionate.
I am a very fun friendly and happy person; I'm very neat and tidy. I'm not into the whole party scene &I like to keep my home as a sort of 'my time' type place (so that I don't have any friends rocking up unannounced or things like that). :)
Hi im Hayley, I have recently moved to Newcastle from Mudgee and I will be starting full time work on the 17th of March working Monday to Friday. I have lived out of home for the last 6 years and I have a full house of furniture. I have an Aussie Bulldog named Ralph that will be moving with me. During the day when I'm at work Ralph will be outside however when I am home he usually comes inside to lay around and watch TV, he's toilet trained and generally quite lazy however he does enjoy to have a run around and play fetch. Ideally I'm looking for someone that's great with pets and willing to have him around the house. I'm new to town and would like to meet new friends and build great friendships. I enjoy having a chat however my cooking abilities aren't fabulous. I'm super clean and respectful, I enjoy hanging out but also like time to myself. I'm generally quiet during the week and enjoy relaxing after work however I enjoy having a few drinks on the weekends and heading out with friends. I'm looking to team-up with 2-3 people and I'm available to move asap, if you're interested please feel free to contact me 😊
Need a place before the 11th of April Currently taking a year off uni to earn some money. I'm super chilled, don't mind a few beverages on the weekend. Super clean and tidy in common areas. Own my own bedroom furniture and a BBQ. But could be able to take conch, dinning table and washing machine from current house, if needed.
Love cooking, prefer a clean and organised house but it doesn't have to be to clinical standards! I respect other people's space but also enjoy the odd laugh at life's chaos and crises. I'm working full time (thursdays and fridays away, three days in Swansea). No major attachments, hassles or gripes in life. Prefer cycling than driving and would rather a restful weekend in than a hectic night out as I don't drink or smoke or engage in other addictions. I enjoy other people's company most of the time, but don't desperately seek it as I have many interests that keep me busy.
Tell us something I am a bit of a free spirit. I enjoy a reasonably healthy lifestyle, vegan, fitness and the outdoors. I also don't mind a good time come the weekend, anywhere with live gigs. To live with I am social but definitely enjoy my solo time (only child syndrome). I am hugely respectful of the living environment and personal space.
Hi there, I am currently looking for somewhere to live closer to town. I like time to myself, however I'm also usually up for a chat and hanging out watching TV. I'm not a party person, but I do enjoy games nights/drinks/movie nights with my friends. I am thinking about getting a pet, maybe a cute rescue dog. So I'd prefer to be somewhere pet friendly just in case. I work full time and am also doing some part time study.
