Hey, I'm from Melbourne and moving to Newcastle for work in engineering. I'm pretty laid-back, love the beach, and up for anything outdoors. I also respect other people's property, am fairly tidy and don't mind a chat.
From the Central Coast looking to move back up to Newcastle end of November, once my university practicum has finished. I'm studying Occupational Therapy and working part time in Newcastle. I'm easy going, respectful and clean. I love my down time but also love a bit of banter and don't mind an occasional wine or two. Give me a message if this sounds like you 😊
I've been living and working in Newcastle for just over a year now, having finished a two year stint in Brisbane and the rest in Sydney beforehand. I'm currently working as a Business Analyst for a mining firm in Newcastle. This keeps me quite busy most hours of the week. After work you'll find me in the kitchen, winding down and prepping a C class meal before listening to some music or watching a little TV to chill out. Most days I'll be pretty dead from work, so i don't mind my own space, and will respect yours too. I do love a great chat over a beer or three, and don't mind the odd takeout trip, so happy to get out and about on the odd occasion. On the weekends I enjoy heading out and about, especially over the warmer months I'll be outside as much as possible, heading to the beaches or hiking. Every third weekend or so I'll be heading to Sydney to catch up with friends and family, which leads me into introducing you to Suki. Suki is about 17 years old and a short haired cat. She's a talkative cat and loves letting you know when she's hungry or keen for pats. She doesn't bit or scratch. A true gem. My girlfriend, Gen, will be working in Sydney for 2 years, starting in early Jan. We'll be cycling between trips to Newcastle for her and Sydney for me. Until we'll organise a fair split on rent for everyone.
My name is Mitch, I am 25 and keen to move into the city as I am always at the beach and love newcastle in general. I am a casual bartender although I have plenty of hours and can work pretty late some nights. I am an outdoor person love the sun and ocean always looking for something new to do or another adventure. I love to swim, skate, go for walks and grab a coffee to chat or catch up on the day. I'm not much of a partier but love a cold beer or several or a nice red. I am sometimes quiet and need some downtime to reflect and recentre but generally friendly and happy, keen to hang out and socialise. I would love to get to know you a bit more and/or if you're interested and want to know a bit more about me just ask :) Cheers Mitch
I am a fourth year university student who works part time. I enjoy the beach, running and quality conversation but also understand the importance of being respectful and clean. Looking for somewhere in town to be close to uni and work.
Hi, I'm Lily. I am currently studying Visual Arts at Hunter Street TAFE. My course will be ending soon and I will be looking for full-time work. I have been renting on union street for the past 5 months and now I'm looking for somewhere new. I work hard at all that I do. Therefore my bills will always be paid on time. I always enjoy hanging out with friends, making art and I love wholefoods cooking. I'm a very independent but communal living person. I am tidy and friendly and I will respect your space. I would love to find a place to live in Cooks Hill or around that area, where I can be close to friends, the beach and, Tafe!
Hi guys, my name's Daniel and I'm a pilot originally from Perth and am a really practical and down to Earth kind of guy. I love new experiences and lead an active lifestyle so enjoy getting out for a run, swim, hike/camp, travelling or sampling different local beers. I don't smoke and I won't be bringing any kids or pets and will gladly help out around the place and tend to be pretty clean myself. Just a heads up, there will be days where I will be up getting ready (as quietly as possible) for those early flights at about 430am or back about 9pm. I've been in Newy for about 8 months now. The owners of my current rental have decided to sell so I may be looking at having to move. I am also waiting on a call up for the next job that would take me away from Newcastle and so a flexible length of stay is preferred but looking at approximately 2-3 months. I have a bedroom set up but am ok with offloading it if required. The ideal location would have a supermarket, some cafes and maybe a pub/bar or two within a short distance but I am pretty easy. I prefer something on my own up to a share house with a maximum of 4 occupants total and am pretty clean and very considerate myself. So if you happen to have a room and think I may be a good fit, please feel free to contact me. Cheers! Dan
I am a 27 y/o creative designer that is looking to move back to Newcastle after 8+ years living in Sydney and Sweden. I love music, design, travelling, camping, Star Wars (hello there), video-games and keeping fit/healthy. I am extremely tidy, respectful and environmental. I am a little shy upon first meeting, but I come out of my shell in no time. I like to feel comfortable in my space - I will be walking around in comfort clothes or hardly any. I am a social creature and will definitely participate in house dinners and drinks. I like to be social on weekends and would like to host friends over for wine and such. I have a cat named Mishka who is indoor/outdoor and will be your next best furriend. She is house trained, loves people and will sleep on your lap if you're sitting long enough. My ideal housemates would be super cool, cultured, love a drink, going to gigs and social events, good music, are clean, sustainable and have an interest in recycling/minimising waste. I am interested in starting a share house. Move in date is flexible (looking for work before moving up) & length of stay but prefer 6+ months
Hello! I have just moved to Newcastle and am looking for a place to live. I'm 25 and working full time. I like sports, hanging out with friends and going to the beach on arvos or weekends! I'm easy going, friendly and considerate and am looking for similar housemates to live with :)
Hello :-) I am a Psychology student coming from overseas and doing an internship in Newcastle! I would stay in Newcastle at least at mid of April! Hello, everyone! My name is Natã and I'm originally from Brazil. I have been living in Newcastle for 3/4 months now and I'm ready to move to a more definitive place! I am very sociable (and talkactive) and love ~love~ to cook (specially sweets). So be prepared to eat all the amazing treats Brazil has to offer you! I love going to the cinema or watching Netflix. Love puzzles, board games. I enjoy the beach, but I prefer the forest, go hiking or walking in the green. I am quiet when need to be so you won't hear me laughing/screaming/talking late at night (unless we are in this together, bro!)! Anyway, I am just a chill guy that loves to talk and meet new people! Cheers!
I'm really easy-going and I'm rarely home (either at f45, work or a friends house.) When I am home, I'm chill and just enjoy watching Netflix or having a wine or two. Employed full-time, love snowboarding, positive attitude, own my own rental property up the coast and just looking for somewhere clean and drama free to live.

Hi! I am Lisa-Marie, a 22-years old Dutch graduate student in the field of pharmacy. I am looking for a nice place to stay in Newcastle, as I will perform my MSc research project at UON. I would really appreciate a clean house with chill flatmates to come home to at the end of a hectic day, but most importantly I would love roommates who are open for a nice chat and a glass tea / wine. Ofc with respect for eachothers privacy ;) little bit about me: when I am free I love to meet new people / hang out with them, explore new restaurants / bars, go to the beach, bake, dance or do yoga.
Hey there! I'm moving to Newcastle for a full-time research internship position over the summer. Looking forward to a new surf spot and meeting a bunch of new people :)
Laid back 19 year old male, work as a carpenter and play footy with Newcastle Knights 20’s. Looking for a room to rent. I’m a clean freak and so easy to get along with. Hygienic and respectful. Really reliable with rent and can budget my money well! I don’t mind a drink here and there by try to steer clear due to footy commitments. I don’t mind living with male or female, as long as you can handle a little banter. I’m energietic and love to eat! Will keep to myself at times, but will always go out of the way to say hey and put others first !! Contact me ASAP for a chat 🙏🏽
I am a laid back easy to talk to young guy. I’ve worked hard my whole life and now I’m ready to go travelling. Will be coming to Australia on a working visa at the start of November. I’m hygienic and have a slight OCD so I’m very clean and tidy.
Hello my name is Amanda and I’m 36. I’m very down to earth, open, big heart, kind and considerate. I have my own business and see clients now and then through the day. I am a clairvoyant/Medium and Holistic Life Coach and also have my own Organic Skin Care brand. I’m going to be setting up my own home fully furnished (apart from your bedroom) and I’m looking for a housemate to share my home! I’m looking at 3 bedroom places so one room can be set up as an office for my work space. I’m looking for someone open minded, kind and considerate. Someone who likes to have a laugh and meal together but also respects my down time and alone time. I’m not a big drinker or party animal these days. I am focused on health and wellness, my business and living life to the fullest. Ideally I’d like to find a place and move by December/January. We would both be on the lease and I am happy to pay extra for use of the 3rd bedroom. Please let me know if you’re interested :)
I'm an optometrist in my first year of work looking for a place in Newcastle. Would like to live somewhere where common areas are kept reasonably clean and tidy. My main interest outside of work is olympic weightlifting, which keeps me busy after work most days so I'm not at home too much, but when I am I'm always down to hang out or just chat! Flick me a message if you think I'd be a good fit for your place. Cheers :)
Hey Im Izzy, looking for one or two other housemates that would be keen on teaming up to find a place to share. You’d be living with me and my boyfriend, we are both friendly and social but will respect your personal space when you need it. We work full time so will be out of the house most of the time too. Both tidy and clean, always happy to do our share of the housework. Also more than happy to accomodate for pets as we’re looking to get a dog ourselves. Already have some places lined up that we want to inspect/apply for and would welcome to suggestions too. We are looking to move asap so if you think this fits what your looking for don’t hesitate to swing me a message! :)
Hi I'm hanna working full time (also international student) and I am looking for an accommodation, I planning to study at Tafe newcastle from November and I am planning to move on November 3-4. I am looking for an place where I have my private space, and inclusive of bills and internet in Newcastle area. I am friendly, quiet, I do the chores, I don't smoke, I drink occasionally and I do love animals. I also love watching tv most especially, series and specials, movies, listening to music and I do love outdoor activities
Hey! I'm a very open, kind and friendly person (and housemate). I enjoy cook ups and social drinks at home or out, as well as sharing activities that I or others love. I love swimming at the beach, running, hiking, yoga, rollerblading, and a good chat. I'm studying and working so have busy parts of the year but also periods of downtime, which is a good mix for me. :)
Hi I am moving to Newcastle in the new year for work. I am currently living in Scotland, originally from Sydney however looking to be closer to the water for a reasonable price. I am clean and organised and like to socialise In the evenings and weekends. I workout a bit, I'm into yoga. I enjoy reading and sport. I like cooking and baking at home so looking for somewhere with a decent kitchen and others who don't like to cook at home so much so we don't fight over the kitchen or others who do like to cook so we can swap recipes. Either way a heads up I use the kitchen a lot and there's usually banana bread or cake around. I don't mind if it's a party house as long as I get my 8 hours on week nights. I'm also hoping to find a centrally located place so I don't have to buy a car. Ideally I would be able to walk to a grocery store, a well serviced bus station and the gym. Please get in touch if you have a room available in January and think we could live together without going mental.
Hola friends! My name is Roshan (pronounced ocean with an 'R'). I'm 30 and have recently moved from Tassie. After a little stint in Sydney, I am now looking for somewhere to call home near Newcastle/Port Stephens area.. I am a marine biologist currently working on a PhD project with UNSW and DPI-Fisheries (chasing crabs up the NSW coast). As you can probably guess from my job description I love the sea and lead an outdoor lifestyle with interests including sailing and diving. I like to think of myself as a good mix of social and solo - Love a beer with mates but also enjoy reading and writing in my own time. I'm looking to live with like minded people who are environmentally aware, social and look after the space they live in. Looking forward to meeting you all! PS: I've copied this from my flatmatefinders.com.au profile- can't be paying for all of them. Important personal qualities clean social environmentally conscious healthy lifestyle Food sharing and furniture No labels but I do tend to eat minimal meat and appreciate a healthy diet. Hey! I’m 20 years old, have been working in childcare for 4 years now and I’m also a full time University student (Occupational Therapy). I’m super easy-going & friendly - I love to have a chat and would prefer to live in a sharehouse where the residents actually knew one another & utilised the lounge room and stuff haha! Although I’m extroverted & very much a people-person, I also definitely value personal space and love my downtime just as much as the next person (especially when studying). I’m a huge animal fanatic but have managed to limit myself to one small juvenile carpet python. He’s completely friendly & never bitten anyone, he’s also confined to his tank. You’re welcome to meet him :) Can also provide a rental reference from my current place of residence where I have been for 22 months. Oh also, I like my plants. A lot.
Neat, respectful and easy going. Happy to keep to myself and/or be social with others. I enjoy cooking and don’t mind doing the dishes! I am relatively quiet and enjoy my own company, so there’s no risk of any wild parties or anything of the sort happening. I do however like to chat to people and love having good people that I get along with around me if having me be a bit more of a social butterfly is preferred. I’m pretty chilled either way :) I do smoke, but no more than maybe five or less in any one day and would always do so outside in a well ventilated area, I also have a good habit of disposing of cigarette butts appropriately and promptly once finished. I am currently, and have been for the last seven years, working as an AIN, and often am working on a rotating roster, so shift work is inevitable. I am happy to move out of where I am now and into a new place ASAP! :) look forward to hopefully meeting nice people and living in a comfortable, relaxed and cosy feeling home Kindest regards, B.
Just finished working on Hamilton island and looking to move back closer to family and friends. I’m very quiet, organised and clean! If I’m not working I’ll be at the gym or out exploring any hiking or walking trails, or even just playing my PlayStation. I love to keep to myself but I do appreciate my time with my friends!
Im a clean and tidy person who takes pride in my surroundings. I work as a good and beverage supervisor at a hotel running weddings. I am an easy going person who likes to wind down with a glass of wine or a swim at the beach. I do have an outside cat, Archie who is toilet trained and loves people.
Hey there! I'm in my early 20s and I've just started a full-time gig up in newie! I'm an outgoing and super friendly down-to-earth guy who's always up for an adventure. I love kickin' back for a chill, getting a bit of sun at the beach and also having a cheeky bevvie or two with mates. I'm also a bit of a theatre nerd, soccer addict and love having convos about anything and everything.
