Hey guys and gals, I'm a 23-year-old graphic designer who's looking to move to Newcastle for a job in mid-late August. I'm moving from Melbourne because it's bloody cold here in winter and having grown up around the coastal areas of Kangaroo Island and Adelaide, I miss being near the beach. I like to keep busy doing fun things i.e. cooking, surfing, skating, exploring on the weekends and having a yarn over a few drinks. I'm easygoing, clean and tidy and would like to live with people who are too :) At the moment I live with an advertising creative, a nurse and an occupational therapist (all guys), so I'm used to a household with varying schedules. I currently work at a nursery (of the horticulture variety) as well as working a design job, and would love a bit of a backyard to garden/grow food, but am also happy to go without and just fill the house with my extensive plant collection. Happy to live with a fair range of age groups–most of my friends and my three housemates here are in their mid-late 20s or early 30s–in the Newcastle area. Ideally, I'd like to move into an existing house to make the move easier, and I've got no qualms about signing onto a lease if necessary. Would love to have a little Skype meet and greet if you think I sound like someone you'd be keen to have around (can provide endorsements from biased friends and current housemates). **I know it's quite early to be looking for a house but I'm coming up for a couple of days in late April to visit a potential workplace, so it would be a good chance to meet in person with potential housemates and see potential houses, too.**
Hi guys, my name's Daniel and over in Newcastle for a new job. I'm a pilot from Perth and am a really practical and down to Earth kind of guy. I love new experiences and lead an active lifestyle so enjoy getting out for a run, swim, hike/camp, travelling or sampling different local beers. I don't smoke and I won't be bringing any kids or pets and will gladly help out around the place and tend to be pretty clean myself. Just a heads up, there will be days where I will be up getting ready (as quietly as possible) for those early flights at about 4am or back about 10pm. I've been in Newy for about 2 months now and looking for something a bit more permanent. The ideal location would also have a supermarket, some cafes and maybe a pub/bar or two within walking distance but I am pretty easy. I prefer something on my own up to a share house with a maximum of 4 occupants and am pretty clean and very considerate myself. So if you happen to have a room with a bed and think I may be a good fit, please feel free to contact me. Cheers! Dan
Hey I’m Victoria, I’m from Canberra moving to Newcastle to start a job on the 9th of April - looking to move down on the 30-31 March. I am looking to team up with 2 female housemates and find our own cool place to call home. I’ll be working full time Monday to Friday so prefer to live with somone who works similar hours. I’ve got furniture to fill a whole house including a spare bed so want to bring everything with me if possible!!! Everything is brand new appliances, TV the works. A bit about me; - I love a beer after work and even more on the weekends. - I’m a keen snowboarder so hoping to switch it up for a surfboard. - I’m loud and try to be funny but you’ll spend more time laughing at my clumsiness than my jokes - I’m mad about live music.. faves are sticky fingers and jungle giants - I have a puppy named Braxton he’s a small English Staffy and the best trained dog you will ever meet because I’m a tough love kinda mum. (He will be coming with me) - I’m super clean freak so don’t mind me when I clean up after you Overall I’m pretty keen to get down and find a sick place and make some new friends soooo.... Hopefully you read this and think wow what a cool lass, let’s team up and find a rad house we can call our own ;) Open to live anywhere that’s cute, happy to pay more for the master room.
I’m a grown up female woman. I will more than happily clean, I cook and I like to keep a safe, harmonious and quiet during the week environment to co- exsist in. I work weekends but I totally understand everyone has to have fun! I have excellent spelling, as I am an English and writing Major at uni and I ride a bike so I don’t need a parking space. I work in town so ideally would like somewhere close to that if I can.
I'm a New Zealander that has been living in Newy long enough that I know my way around but short enough that I still like to go exploring. Before living here, I did the whole gap year abroad thing and lived in London and travelled. I work full time in Honeysuckle on a 9-5 kinda schedule so I keep myself pretty busy during the week. I also like to stay pretty active on the weekends but do have a lazy day every now and then. I'm clean, considerate, respectful but also like to be social and friendly with my housemates.
Hi! I'm a full time art student - starting degree in Natural History Illustration this year at UON.. and work weekends in retail. Long term preferred. not a big party person, being 30(ish) i prefer red wine and cheese platters to beer bongs, but do enjoy a good bevvy filled banter in the yard and a cheeky night out once in a while. red wine is the nectar of the gods and cheese platters complete with crackers, dips and cured meat selection are dinners of champions who can't be bothered with real food. chocolate is a constant. disney isn't just for kids. quite happy to be anywhere on the scale of keeping to ourselves or becoming BFF's. Although I don’t really know anyone up here yet, so friendly roomies willing to go on walking/driving adventures with me and my camera would be wonderful. i have a very clean indoor/outdoor cat. gypsy, she's a beautiful ginger kitty, v. small. she kinda hates everyone (not mad just very very shy). so won't be all up in your business. spends most of her time asleep in the shade or on my bed at night. If i can give her access outside via a window in my room she's likely to not ever venture into other parts of the house. not a clean freak so I’m not going to lose the plot if you leave a dish out for a day but if things start growing in the sink and fridge that's not cool.
Currently at TAFE studying sound production in the music industry. I’d say I’m friendly, kind, creative, respectful, funny and easy to get along with. 💫🌱 I’m big on movies, tv shows, the beach, music and animals. I also LOVE to sing and play piano and guitar. I’m a social butterfly. I love to meet new people and have a good laugh with some friends. But I also enjoy my alone time and some privacy. I’m down to earth and very mature for my age 😊 I always make sure to stay tidy and clean! Keen to live in a place that brings good vibes with some cool people. :)
I am an active and social person who works full time for NSW government. I enjoy hiking, slacklining, going to the beach, and I am learning to surf. I have been living in Newcastle for about a year and have loved it. I am a tidy and considerate housemate who enjoys socialising over dinner or a casual beverage. I see a lot of live music and am always up for a new adventure. Looking for an existing house with a room for rent, or a team up for 6 months.
I am friendly, with a bubbly personality. I like to clean and cook. I enjoy interesting conversation and reading. I am a practicing artist and actively modelling but am down to earth (not a snobby diva). I like positive interaction and my own space at times. I am a broad minded and accepting person. I am honest, reliable and open. I am also respectful of other people's space and privacy. I am environmentally aware, i like to recycle and compost whn possible. I am very down to earth but do like to have some fun times with lovely people :)
I am a Law and Political Science student at the University of Newcastle. Also work part time in hospitality. Living life to the fullest is my motto and always keen on doing fun and exciting things. I am a bit of a social butterfly I always love having drinks with friends and sometimes going out clubbing. At the same time I am also a super hard worker and put in the effort at university. I try to stay active and eat healthy as much as I can. I do have a pet cat which I would LOVE to bring with me but my parents would happily take care of her if this is not possible. As I work and study in Newcastle, I would prefer a location right in the city and close to everything! I identify as gay, so other gay room mates would be fantastic although I do get along with everyone!
I'm a Queenslander moving to Newcastle, to study at the University of Newcastle. I enjoy snowboarding, surfing and I'm always up for a good chat.
So unfortunately my landlord has decided to sell (living on Darby street and love it). So a little about myself. I'm accountant working full time for a firm in the CBD. Will be finishing my CA this year (two semesters). Before this I spent the last two years travelling Europe. And will be off again this year for four weeks to the Russia World Cup. If you enjoy travelling and/or the NRL we will most likely get along. Into my league and having a beer come Friday. Definitely not after a party house, but enjoy hanging out with the people I live with. I also have a bit of furniture from prior to going overseas - BBQ, TV, TV cabinet, lounges, outdoor setting, table and chairs, fridge, washing machine, mower, Xbox, Nintendo 64 etc. Which I will either bring or sell. Hope to hear from you soon!!
Emma and Kieran here! We are your standard description of a fun, friendly and easy going couple, who are welcoming and like to make new friends. We are both full time professionals working Monday to Friday as environmental consultants. We have one currently unemployed, awesome and low maintenance dog called Willow who is a 3 year-old small Corgi X (?). Current landlord can provide reference for us as well as for the dog. We are hoping to find a new place to jump into when our lease ends in February. Can provide any further details upon request. Thanks! ☺️
Hi, name's David I'm a recently graduated electrical engineer working full time at Honeysuckle and looking to move closer to work and the city. I'm 25 years old and would prefer to move in with people of a similar age. I'm easy going, caring and open minded. I love being social, although I also respect when people want their own space. I don't mind a casual drink during the week or going out on the weekend and I'll never say no to drinks/dinner with friends. I'm a pretty decent cook and know how to keep a place clean. Looking to move into a place in the next month or so.
I'm looking to move to Newcastle ASAP with a room mate of mine. Both of us are studying in town and live over 1 hour north of Newcastle so travelling is a big issue for us at the moment. We are two easy going guys, and very flexible with property preferences. Willing to pay up to $200 each per week. We love sport, the beach and kicking back for a few beers. Feel free to message or call me if you think we would suit your place!
Very active lifestyle including yoga, skating and general beaching. Young professional working in hotels administration and gallery administration on the side! Looking for a great group of people to come home to and have a cheeky wine with!
I'm from Smith's lake, (about 2 hours north of Newcastle) i work in hospitality at al-oi thai so I'm very outgoing and Understand and respect personal boundaries, I work part time and as am in my third year at Universitys, I budget well and keep tidy and quiet.
I am quiet and sociable at the same time. I am flexible and looking for a friendly environment to live in. I am clean and care about cleaning. However, I am not obsessed with cleaning. I like to agree on cleaning rules with other mates. I do not smoke, drink (I drink very occasionally), do not have a pet. Please feel free to ask any question or more information.
Hey, I'm doing fifo up in Qld working a week on week off roster. I have two awesome teenage daughters in the area and we want our own place for when I'm home. I'm looking for situational appropriate, fun, down to earth, professional people who could benefit from teaming up for a nicer, larger rental. You will have the place to yourself every second week. A house with a nice entertaining area and gardens to enjoy fine food and vino with friends is a must. I'm a clean, fun, responsible no drama guy. If anyone has their interest sparked, drop me a line.
Hey, We are a new couple to the area looking for exciting and easygoing housemates and we aren't fussy about pets. As a student and full time worker, we enjoy outdoor adventure and are easy to live with. We enjoy sports and socializing but respect others privacy, including that of our housemates. We pull my own weight in housework and guarantee an awesome mix of party lifestyle and reliability .
Hi! I'm Brazilian and PhD student in Paediatric at UoN. Now, I’m living in Newy but my housemate is moving to Sdy, so I’ll also need to move to another house. Previously, I lived in Newcastle during 1 year and a half for a semester abroad at UoN. I'm tidy, quiet, easy going, respectful and clean and don't mind an occasional wine. Love making new friends and big fan of trying new foods!
I'm a newly graduated optometrist from New Zealand starting my first year of work in the Newcastle area. Looking to team up or join an existing sharehouse with other young workers or students. Prefer a place where everyone is good friends and likes to get together for a few drinks on occasion. If you think I would fit into your place, flick me a message!
Hi there, I am looking for a place near to the John Hunter Hospital, where I will be relocating for work. I am a workaholic so am not home alot but am looking for a place to relax and have a quiet glass of red. I enjoy cooking, reading and travelling when not working. I like a robust discussion and am always keen to learn new things.
Hey, I am a working professional which I travel away for work every now and then. I love a good chat but also love my alone time. I love music but there's a time and a place for it being loud. I love the outdoors particularly the beach, travel and doing nothing. I have a queen size bed, lounge, coffee table and a desk so am looking for a large room to rent to be able to set up my projector to play playstation 😊 (fast internet is a must have) I would like to be able to invite friends and family over on occasions but not on a regulalry occurance. Anyways if you think you have a large space for me and my things please send me a message.
Hi there! My name is Kaiyden. I'm tidy and quite easy going. I like to communicate and be as open as possible though I do like my privacy. While I don't blast music I do like having it on a respectable volume whenever doing work at home or just relaxing on the weekends. I am looking for somewhere with NBN as I do use a lot of bandwidth for both gaming and work related content though I am happy to help compensate for this niche requirement. I'm pretty far from a party person though I do like entertaining some guests and take full responsibility for them while taking the lengths to inform everyone and keep it civil. In all, I'm looking for a place where I can feel comfortable with like minded easy going people and am happy to be reasonable and responsible for myself along with the living environment. I also have a I.T background so most issues you have with tech I'd be happy to help with. I will be supplying my own cooking utensils as well as I've found I like to keep my things clean and separate.
Hi there! My names Lauren, I’m 28 turning 29 in March and am looking for a room to rent. My engagement recently ended and we are still living together but it’s time I moved on and away from him. I work full time as a manager in retail. I do own a dog his name is benji, he’s a staffy X and is two years old. He doesn’t bark, doesn’t chew or destroy anything,he’s not aggressive to anyone he does get a little over excited when meeting new people but he won’t hurt anyone. I do also have a pet rat named dozer but he is reaching the end of his life and won’t be here much longer. I do smoke but only every outside, all in all I’m a nice, genuine person, can be a bit shy at first, and I’m very much a “homebody”
I'm 21 and a Scorpio, I'm fun at parties and am happy to play the designated driver if needed. I have just moved to the Newcastle area and am looking for a decent group of people to live with. I may be quiet at first but don't take that as a sign of rudeness, I'll warm up to you. My only rule is: if you respect my privacy, I'll respect yours.
Hey I’m Emma I’m 24 and I’m studying at the university of newcastle full time. I’m a youth worker so I’m not home very often as I work a lot. I’m clean and tidy and very easy to get along with but understand everyone needs their own space also! I also have a gorgeous dog who is very well behaved ☺️ I love being outdoors and playing sport. If you have a space in your home feel free to contact me!
Moved across from WA and loving the area! Secure government job, very friendly, quiet and clean! My fur children are very quiet and well behaved like their Mum. Worked in the animal industry and happy to house sit your pets if you go away. Not a bad cook and like gardening. Lease is not up until beginning of May so happy to meet in the interim! 😊
Hi, I have two jobs - working full time through the week, and on Friday and Saturday nights. I am clean, tidy, friendly, down to Earth, enjoy socialising but also like my own space. I enjoy reading, watching movies, yoga, I go to bootcamp, and like to have a social drink. Pretty laid back. Not noisy but not a hermit either!
I've been living in Newcastle for the past couple of months, my lease is up and now I'm looking for somewhere new to live! I'm looking for a place with a good location and some fun/sociable house-mates. Outside of work I try and stay active, (gym, skiing, bike riding). Otherwise, I don't mind the occasional beer/wine, I'm easy going, tidy and I'm an okay cook. If you think we'd be a good fit send me a message
I'm currently living on-campus at the university and am looking at moving off to somewhere quieter and more my own space. I'm currently in my second year of secondary teaching and i am also working casually averaging 4-5 shifts per week. My boyfriend Alex lives back home in Dubbo and is planning on moving to Newcastle to further his studies once he finds a job, so it would be just us 2! We are both super tidy people, love quiet nights in and always helping around the house. We both enjoy active lifestyles going to the gym & footy for Alex. We are looking for a peaceful home whether it be renting a room or whole property. Message me if you have any questions. Cheers!
I am a young male, who has left left home in Nowra to to start a new life in Newcastle. i enjoy cooking( i am happy to cook for people, as long as they are happy to eat) and I don't mind doing house work if needed. I pretty layed back and like to keep to myself, but I don't mind chatting at times. I work casually at a fast food place, while looking for other work. I am looking for somewhere to stay for awhile (1 year +)
