Who would like to TEAM UP with us??? Pepa and Sande are looking for a third roommate to join our search for a new property. Our current landlord is selling our home. Seeking something bigger (3-4BR) around Belconnen region. We're able to afford $250-300pw each ($500-600 total), so a third would increase our renting budget and we could get something nice and comfortable. MUST LIKE CATS. There is also a cat. No dogs please. One more cat is OK. Sande is a 36yo single female public servant with a very friendly, toilet trained cat called Yin (Yinneko). I used to be in the Army and spent most of my 12 year career living with housemates. As well as working full time, I'm still an Army reservist and sing in a band so I'm rarely home before 6 or 7 pm during the week and tucked into bed by 10. I like to get out of the house on weekends if the weather is nice: I'll generally go have a picnic or spend time with my friends but when I am home, I like to COOK (bake or meal prep), watch TV or listen to music, podcasts or audiobooks and crochet, sew, or craft. I read avidly, write (songs/journaling) and draw. I'm passionate about overseas travel and will happily help you plan any trips if you'd like assistance - I should be a travel agent, but unfortunately it doesn't pay enough LOL I have wheels and all of my own furniture including a TV with surround sound, 2 and 3 seater lounge suite, TV, Refrigerator, Washing machine, and of course my own bedroom furniture as well as a few bookcases, large desk and a 6-seater outdoor setting. If you have any of your own furtniture, I am happy to discuss what goes where - 3 people in a 4 BR place can make use of the extra bedroom as a second lounge, which could be a nice touch, and I firmly believe you can NEVER have too many fridges!! :) Pepa is a friendly, happy and tidy 21 year old Public Servant from QLD. She travels interstate regularly to spend time with her boyfriend and family. She generally keeps to herself so she can study but does love to chat and spend time with friends. She only has bedroom furniture at this stage and her footprint is small. Without her own car (yet), Pepa will need to be near a bus stop so this will need to be considered when looking at rentals. If you don't like cats, are allergic or have indoor pets of your own, this may not be the ideal situation. Yin is an independent DSH Rescue and she just LOVES people. Her favourite passtimes include eating and sleeping. Sande is happy to introduce Yin to another cat, and is willing to put in the time and effort needed to ensure a harmonious environment for all creatures involved, provided you reciprocate. Sande has a few ex-housemates who are more than happy to discuss what it's like living with me. I've remained friends with most of them. I'm looking at 1 year leases with option to continue beyond this if circumstances remain extant.
Hi, I’m Dale. I’m a 26yo male who works permanent part time at Canberra hospitals emergency department and I study medical radiation science full time at UC. I’ve been living in share houses for years so you could say I’m adequately “house trained” I enjoy socialising with my roomies but understand the important of alone time and free space (we all need it from time to time) in my spare time you’ll usually find me either sweating over an assignment at the gym in the kitchen or out and about. What I can offer your share house: A well trained housemate (cooks cleans bills and rent always paid on time) A beautiful hardwood dinning room set (will sell if no room) Various cook ware and dinning ware (will sell if no room) And a whooping 65” curved LED 4K smart tv with 5.1 surround sound. The perfect addition to the lounge room. If you like any of this please get in touch and perhaps we can organise a meeting.
Hi everyone, Mi name is Pabla, I'm from Colombia, a 35 yo woman. I used to work as Marketing manager in multinational companies in my country and I came to Australia to study a master in Communications. I am looking for a place with two bedrooms available to share with other friend (Colombian and professional lady as well). We both study and work. If you have an entire place or you want to share with 2 more people (Independent rooms) would be lovely! We are super clean, very organized and kind. Happy to hear from you :)
Kelsey here! I'm 18 years old, super relaxed and love a good chat. I'm all about art and music and I love to write. I love British comedy, the Pixies and the colour yellow. I'm studying Psychology at CIT and work part-time. I'm looking for some relaxed roomies who I can share a place with. I am a very organised and tidy person and I respect other's space. My first choice would be female roomies at this point in time. Looking for a quiet place (I start EARLY) with roomies who are respectful and responsible.
I have been living in Canberra for six months so far. I like cooking, sewing, singing, painting, and movies! I'm tidy and respectful, and not really into big parties. I have a two year old white-and-tabby indoor cat in Melbourne who I am looking to bring to Canberra. She's sweet and happy, doesn't really bother people, and has a rear joint displaysia which means she can't jump onto kitchen benches, and can't free-range outside. I'm looking for an unfurnished room in a quiet, laid-back house. Ideally with heating and cooling, off street parking, and some kind of outside space. I have a tv, freezer, and bedroom furniture, and am happy to provide any other furniture if needed.
I am a 33 years old IT man and working for a company in Belconnen. I'm friendly and good to chat with. I like to keep things clean and respectful to everyone. I like playing video games, taking pictures, watching tv, reading and learning English. Thanks.
Hi! My name is Monique. I'm looking for a permanent place to live. I'm a young professional working full time in the city. I'm a pretty quiet person, clean and tidy too. I play soccer on the weekends and take my dog out for adventures. Speaking of, I have a gorgeous chocolate labrador named Nala who is 1 and a half years old. She sleeps in my room and loves people and other dogs (and is scared of cats). She spends her days outside but comes in when I'm home (she isn't allowed on furniture though). She is toilet trained and very well behaved. I also am becoming a dog training instructor - nala and I love learning new tricks. I've lived in share houses for the past 2 years and can provide references. I have a boyfriend and we usually hang out a couple times a week. I'm not a party person - I tend to go out to the movies and pub with friends and like to have a fun but pretty chilled time. My preferred moving date is the 18th of August. If you think we might be suitable to team up give us a yell and Nala and I can come out and meet you! If you have any questions you'd like to ask of me I'm happy to answer. Thanks! Monique
I am a clean, tidy and responsible person. I keep myself busy with work or playing sports in my free time. Always up for a chat but understand personal space. I work full time as Sales Manager for a local retail company, I am expecting my wife to be over here in the couple months, so a single master or double bedroom separate accommodation with a decent lease will be ideal.
I keep to myself and am pretty easy going, have owned my own property and looking to share to save up some money so i know the pressures of paying for bills etc. I work long hours and when i come home i try and relax and catch up on reading, Netflix, work or being social. I keep my space clean & tidy and enjoy cooking when i have time. Not a fitness person but i like going for walks and hikes when i have the time otherwise my down time on the weekends is usually spent on seeing family & friends or catching up on my own things at home. Not great on talking about myself but open to chat.
We are a young couple, looking for an ensuite room in two bedrooms modern apartment or house in Belconnen area preferably. We are both friendly, clean and tidy people, respect others privacy. Dear future flatmates, Greetings future flatmate/s. I'm a mature age female Commonwealth Supported Student studying a Law/Arts degree at Uni Canberra. I need affordable, quiet, and secure accommodation near UC/Belconnen bus routes immediately for at least six to twelve months or more. I'm a quiet and organised person who is clean, tidy, and respectful. I've been a renter and a homeowner, and lived alone and in a shared setting. Although i'm independent, I enjoy socialising with my house mate/s, however please be aware that I can't drink alcohol for health reasons, so don't be offended if I don't share a drink with you. I don't smoke or do drugs, and i'm fair when it comes to sharing housework and bills. Pets are okay with me. I enjoy reading, walking, and cooking, and just relaxing at home. Please contact me as soon as possible if you have a suitable room.
We're a couple of pals, both female and queer, who are looking for 2 rooms in a share house to move into asap. We're good friends and are pretty social creatures so we'll chat to just about anyone but also know when to get out of your face and will probably be out of the house quite often skateboarding, drinking or catching up with friends. We both work full time, a public servant and a tradie. We don't have our own pets to bring, but ADORE them. At this stage we're looking for a place until about Jan and would love some chill, awesome housemates to get to know
Mature, easy going, down to earth uni student (first year bachelor of finance)/bartender. Born and raised in Canberra, looking for a place in a share house towards the end of the year. I’m a pretty social person but do enjoy time to myself. Hobbies include: going to the gym, eating out and socialising with friends, watching sport and listening to music. Very domesticated (can cook, clean and sort out my own laundry) and have a well paying part time job, will pay bills on time. Feel free to shoot me a message if you want to know anything else!
Quiet part-time stay at home worker with two small shih-tzu cross dogs looking for suitable long-term accommodation anywhere in the Greater CBR area. Conscientious, considerate of others, and respectful of privacy. Social as required, and always clean and tidy. References are available on request.
I'm 20 years old (21 in November) and working full time while studying my diploma of children's services. I'm easy going, fairly quiet but would be happy to chat/watch movies as well. I love animals, reading, going for drives or walks and listening to music. :)
42 year old Male looking for accomodation for my partner, her 6 year old daughter and myself. I am a non smoker & non drinker fit type of guy. I am easy going, honest, respectful & thoughtful of others , friendly, funny clean & domesticated.
Female, aps contractor, studying law. In my final year and applying for graduate positions. I keep to myself most of the time. Though I do like the regular movie night and training sessions. I have a dog, titan, that's in training for the mind dog program as an assist dog. So he is well behaved, house trained and loving. He gets along with other dogs however he has a medical condition which makes living with xtra large dogs or overly active dogs not an option. Would love to return living in Canberra but it's getting pretty hard to find pet friendly accom as a one person. So keen for team ups and other living arrangements. South canberra would be my preference... anywhere lol. Keen for team ups
I'm a bubbly, fun-loving person who is also tidy and an occasional introvert! I'm very musical and love anything outdoors or any adventures. I also love meeting new people. Looking for a place to stay by the end of August/beginning of September
We are 2 adults with a 6 year old looking for share accommodation in Canberra whilst we look for a larger property for ourselves. We want to find the perfect home for the 3 of us, but need to live in Canberra in the meantime. We are from Central West NSW and we are overwhelmed by the 10-50 people who turn up to rental property inspections! We require at least 2 bedrooms, with our own bathroom and housemate/s or a granny flat that doesn't mind having our little family. We are friendly, quiet people who don't party, drink or smoke.
Hi prospective housemates, I work full time and spend most of nights at gym lifting (heavy) stuff ( at least to me) with occasional carido sessions 😂 I'm easy going, happy for a chat also know how to respect others privacy. Like to keep things organised clean and tidy. Preferred location would be Bruce, Belconnen, Lawson, Macquarie ( only those new townhouse/units), and then will consider Franklin, Watson, lyneham, etc... Hit me up if you have something available Thanks !
Hello! Looking for a room for at least 6 months, Starting September 1. Moving here for work. Ill be working long hours and I also study part time. :) Two jobs, one in O'Connor and one in Hawker. I love a chat, cooking and a wine after a long day! Im tidy and considerate of shared spaces.
Hi I'm Stuart, 27 professional (non-government). I'd say I'm considerate and pretty easy to get along with. I'm clean and like to chef, good with animals, and pretty open and respectful. Will chat for hours if it's not just small talk. After work I usually like to watch a movie or play console games, on weekends I'm generally doing something. I choose Aranda, Cook, Macquarie and O'Connor from the list, but I'd be happy with elsewhere if it's a good place and not too far from central Canberra (e.g. Griffith, Turner, Curtin, Forrest, etc). Happy to chat - send me a message!
Hi, My name is Liam. I am currently studying Politics and International relations at UC. I'm in my last year and looking to finish up mid next year. I'm originally from Melbourne. I enjoy philosophical/historical/topical conversations but usually stick to my own thing. I work casually in retail so I'll usually either be at uni or work most weekdays/sometimes weekends.
Recently graduated from my master of architecture, and currently working while starting on a freelance career! I'm pretty clean and can keep on top of the house hold duties, and usually keen to hang out!
My name is Alexandria (AJ) and I am currently looking for a place to rent. I am studying at UC and work a steady part-time job. I like to engaged with other people and like to joke around but will give space when asked. I am extremely clean and friendly and will always be up for a cuppa tea or a movie on netflix. I’m very reliable and responsible and tend to mind my own business. I am looking for somewhere that will allow my little cat Bella to stay (if possible). She is very quiet and timid and won’t ruin or destroy anything. Bella is very shy and is toilet trained, you wouldn't even know she was there. Happy to negotiate :)
