Hello potential room mate! My name is Paul, Recently moved to Melbourne from the far north coast of NSW I'm currently working as a chef in a busy cafe in Brunswick east and I'm in need of a new home! Quite a sociable guy i like to relax in my room or catch me outside having a brew! Always down for a chat and a hang but honestly i just want to come home and kick my feet up and have a chill.. Really tidy and always cleaning up after myself. You'll most likely catch me making massive meals for the week or even have a bake off so there will always be a cake or something sweet flying around to eat! I like to get out on my days off and explore the city or hang with friends, I never bring the party home. Thanks for reading, hope to hear from you!
I am a clean and independent person, who is very house trained (haha) I work full time and am often working long hours, I also study so a reasonably chill place would be ideal. I am 21, though please don't let that deter you, i'm so far from a party girl its ridiculous, i have shared multiple times and also lived independently, I'm super reliable with rent and bills so that will never be an issue at all! Move date set as April 15- but flexible as to moving earlier or later, just want to find somewhere that's a good fit!
Hi, My name is Medina Huzejrovic I'm 33 years old; work part-time as an Engineer for Wagstaff Piling while completing Masters in Engineering. I am of Eastern European descent (Russian/Bosnian) - was brought up to be courteous, kind and considerate also VERY tidy and clean :) I am very family orientated and treat my friends as if they were family - i believe in caring for one another so ideally i am looking for a household which represents those principles. I am very much into keeping fit and healthy (i was a gymnast prior moving to Australia) so now i practice a lot of Pilates and Yoga plus the occasional run. LOVE quality nutrition and yummy wine :) But i am not a great cook - however, am always wanting to learn. I would like to join a sharehouse-hold that cares and respects one another. For some, this may sound all too serious, however of course like most of us i like to socialise and party. I was very much in the party scene nowadays it's the occasional night out - love seeing live music, festivals and occasionally hit up the nightclub dance floor Currently, i am living in Brunswick thus am looking to stay local - am available most afternoons/early evenings after work to inspect and meet the occupants; feel free send me an SMS with link to property and your availability - if interested.
Hey! I'm a Canadian (from Toronto) travelling through Australia and decided I loved Melbourne so much I have to stay for a while. I'm running my own small company in the sustainable fashion space but also working full time. I'm very used to sharing space with other people so I'm very easy going, open minded and respectful. I love to cook healthy food, be active (running, yoga, hiking) and explore local events. I also eat a predominantly vegetarian diet so if you don't want meat in the house I have no problem with that.
Hey! I am a student and i'm hoping to team up with other students to get a lease for a house. Please feel free to get in touch. Im also keen on moving into a shared house which is already set up. “Know thyself? If I knew myself, I'd run away.” Jk. I'm quite open minded, respect a person's space and I pay my bills on time. Im responsible enough to not be the cause of any unnecessary inconvenience. I would be delighted if we (everyone out there), could possibly work something out! Thanks!
** flexible move date ** Hey guys! We are a couple named Brooke and Sam, both 25, and looking to find a new space to call home in our beloved home city after traveling the world. A little about ourselves... Since finishing her University studies Brooke has switched between full time work and traveling the world, and now is settled back in Melbourne with a full time job in the travel industry. Also a Yoga teacher, super cleaner and lover of all things natural. Sam is also a traveler and expert Barista making coffees in Brunswick for over 8 years so expect the best morning coffee (don't worry, no Melbourne coffee snob here) and an AMAZING cook! We have been together for many years and honestly such a chill couple that don't need to do everything together always.. we are both very independent people! (I know most say that, but really!!) We are both vegetarians so would prefer a Vegetarian house hold to make life easier for all, both love traveling the world with complete cultural immersion..food and language, so very open minded people. We both work, love our personal space but enjoy socializing over a few beers as well. Super clean, tidy and respectful to all spaces and will bring yummy cooking, diverse conversations, good laughs and beautiful plants to our new home! We look forward to hearing from you! :) Note: Sam is an occasional smoker but only smokes outside just to make that profile section clear
Bubbly, friendly, and easy going. I work full time and in my spare time I enjoy watching movies/tv shows, exploring the city, and online gaming, so I won't try get in your way too often unless you insist. :) I love photography, cooking, video games, traveling, movie nights, fashion, and dining out. NOTE: I am currently perusing and looking at a possible move in date sometime early April, so please do not contact me regarding properties available right now! MUST HAVES: - Private room - decently sized - Fast unlimited internet, so NBN/fiber optics/cable (no ADSL please) - Walking distance to trains/trams as I work near Southbank PREFERABLE: - Wardrobe space - Ensuite or own bathroom if possible (but not absolutely essential) - Walking distance to local shops/cafes/etc - If possible, access to off-street parking as I may acquire a car
I'm a creative and musical individual who loves to eat and laugh with friends. Having lived by myself for a while, I'm great at adulting - including paying rent/bills on time and keeping the house clean. I'm sociable, but very independent so value alone time. I'm looking for a reasonable sized bedroom and a secure back-yard for Indy. Indy is a small, 8 year old Chi-Hound (Dachshund x Chihuahua). He is super friendly and polite; at the moment he comes to work with me most of the time. For the past couple of years I have been managing an artisan jewellery business. I'm pretty relaxed and quiet during the week, but I love to go out dancing.
Hey people - I'm looking for a place to live at that I can feel comfortable and happy in and possibly start a new social network with as well! This means I'm open to teaming up and finding a lease :) I'm a very good communicator and a sensible and responsible person. Also an experienced professional with job security and home share experience. Enjoy participating and watching sport, like to exercise at the gym regularly while eating healthy food and am hopeful of staying close to the area I've spent most of my life in. Because of my work, have some flexibility :) Can cook, like running a veggie garden, open to pets. Very respectful of others space/privacy but would ideally share a place with people that are also on the extroverted spectrum - I like company :)
I'M looking for a fab house/apartment to move into with some chill people. I'd like somewhere sooner rather than later, but am pretty flexible with moving dates. I'm looking for somewhere I can call home. I'm not home very much as I like to keep myself busy, but when I am I like to enjoy my space and keep things tidy and clean. I'm not too fussed on anything else. At the moment I'm just working full time in hospo, but will begin studying fashion merchandising at RMIT mid year. Other than that I like to create, make, photograph things when I find the time. I like having a good time and go out and socialise with friends at bars etc. a bit. I'm usually quiet coming home though and don't ever bring the party back to the house. I do also enjoy going to festivals and try to go to gigs when I'm not working. Im all about good times and chill vibes so I'm not too keen on unnecessary drama or negativity. I'll give you your space if you want it, but I will also be there to chat/throw banter/chill with. So if you're cool with that then hmu pls xox
After travelling Europe for a couple of months, I'm now in need of a new home. I have no idea what I'm doing with my life, so I'm happy with both temporary and longer-term homes. I'm sure I'll be in Melbourne for at least the next 6 months, probably longer, so I'm happy to sign a lease and such. I've been living in share houses for many years, so I'm well house trained, clean, respectful, chill and all that jazz! I'm available to move in anytime. A bit about me: I'm 24; I have a love of animals; my favourite meals are brunch, pre-dinner snack and dessert; I enjoy nature and sitting in parks; I've been working full time at a ski store for what feels like forever (but I enjoy it); I try to always look at the positive and/or funny side of life; my hair colour/style changes frequently (currently pink); I just started attending aerial circus classes for fun/fitness and love it; I enjoy going to musicals; I rely on public transport to get around; and I'm currently coming out of a 6 year obsession with Hi-5 (the kids band) that basically consumed my life. I will also provide daily smiles.
Recently moved from New Zealand, working as a Graphic/Web Designer from a home office in Brunswick East. Im a bit of a music enthusiast, I write songs and play various instruments in my spare time, I have a bit of equipment so I'm after a room that's medium to large in size. That being said though I've lived in numerous flats over the years and I'm pretty respectful with noise when it comes to living with others. I like to keep things tidy but im not OCD, I'm pretty easy to get along with, reliable with bill payments, and respectful of others spaces.
Hey potential flatmates, my name is Mahali, a German 33 years old Student (female) from Leipzig, who is urgently looking for a place to call home. Since February 20th I am studying fulltime in the Postgraduate-Program in Fine Arts at RMIT so I am looking for a long time accommodation (min. 6 month). I am an easy-going, independent and open minded flatmate, who is respectful in space but also likes to hang out for a chat from time to time, have an occasional meal/coffee/beer together or to go out for concerts/events if opportunity offers. But I am definitly not looking for a party-house (as I will have a quite busy week ( incl. weekends). I am looking for like- and openmided people who consider their flatmates more as friends than necessary strangers to pay the rent! In my free time I enjoy: - running (do you have some green arround? - PERFECT!) - yoga (I am a certified teacher =) - cooking (well currently I am on a Bread - Chees ´n Butter diet... that will hopefully change when a new kitchen is available) - listening to music (curious to see what goes in Melbourne) - gardening (I love flowers but also a good tomato out of the Garden ) - and travelling (I guess I am out of the moment !) ....Yes, well I am also into art (what else---keen to explore the Melbourne Art-Scene), design and architecture. Overall I am a responsible, clean and most time tidy person, who pays on time and who try's to live economical concerning water and electricity. If you think that sounds like what you are looking for, please message/call me back. Happy to hear from you soon, Mahali NO ROOMSHARE OFFERS PLEASE! Please read carefully! My max budget is 185 +bills, or 210 all inc.
Hello, I am Brian. I am 22 years old. I work at a cafe in Melbourne Uni, and I like swimming and watching films. I was a videographer in Taiwan. And now I am looking for a male who can share a room with me. I wish to find a tidy, easy-going person, and maybe we can become roommates and friends as well.
Hi! I'm Rachel. I'm a cheerful, easy-going 36 year old looking for similarly friendly and relaxed peeps to live with. I'm happy to find something for 2-3 months while I search for something more permanent. Having a home I love is important to me - it's somewhere to bring friends, somewhere to escape to, somewhere to get lost in my latest creative project or boogie in the bathroom while I'm getting ready for work. I like living with calm, mature open people who have their own lives but don't mind a chat or a shared meal from time to time. I work full time in the CBD, and like to spend my spare time catching up with friends, dancing, cooking, reading, sewing, and having a little dalliance with Netflix every now and again. I have a busy social life and am out quite a bit, and it would be great live with others who are similarly social. I've met some great people through previous housemates! It's worth mentioning that I appreciate having a tidy home, so if that's not your thing then we're probably not destined to be roomies. I'm looking for a place in the inner north - Fitzroy North, Brunswick East, Northcote are my preference - with up to 3 people. I'd love a place that's got a light airy feel and is close to public transport, and a garden is a definite plus.
Hi, I'm undertaking a law master at Melbourne Uni. I am pretty neat and tidy, but not a cleaning freak. I like training outdoors, hopefully I still can do it on winter. Probably I'll be focus on my readings, but eventually would enjoy a chat at nights and maybe a drink on weekends every now and then. Sometimes I sing in the shower, but not that loud though.
outgoing, friendly, tidy and very reliable guy who is a contracted electrician and personal trainer student. p.s. I will only consider places with its own private room.
Hey! Luke here, I’m looking to break free from suburban life and move to the inner north, so that I can be closer to work and maintain a social life that doesn’t require a hefty petrol bill and a spare change of clothes in case of last minute festivities. I’m a friendly, outgoing guy who works full time in the city in tourism marketing. My interests include travelling, eating, socialising and sporadic exercise. I love all things food, and bear the basic skills needed to whip up a weeknight dish to share. I wouldn’t say no to a few drinks after work or some 30 Rock re-runs on the couch, but I’m also respectful of privacy and enjoy my own company. I consider myself to be very clean, independent and organised. I’ve spent a semester abroad experiencing the shared environment. I don’t own a lot of furniture other than bedroom stuff, but will gladly contribute/chip in if need be. If you’re after a friendly, easy-going housemate who brings both pasta and conversation to the table, get in touch!
Hi there, I'm Xavier, 24 yo engineering student from France! I'm here as part of my gap year, I don't study but I have a great job at Deakin University in the CBD. My friends describe me as a "kooky man with great sense of humor". I'm extremely sociable but yet introvert so my time outside work is mainly dedicated to going out sociolizing/exploring this great city, pondering at the State Library and going for a run or a swim. I mainly do my own thing but am always up for a chat and like to know about the people around me! In my downtime (at home) I'd be the best housemate you'd have as I'm super tidy, often going the extra mile to keep things neat (also I'm a tad allergic to dust so no choice), very respectful with places and people (bills&rent paid on time). Looking for a warm, cosy place with like-minded people to have fun and enjoy a house dinner with every now and then! (Those French quiches are coming for you!) Looking forward to meeting you, Cheers, Xavier
Almost 30-something advertising professional. I love the odd car boot sale and vintage clothing store, as well as spending my weekends brunching and having dinner / drinks with mates. I am pretty easy going but do enjoy a clean house! Working keeps me busy during the week but I want to come home to an environment where we can debrief on our days and enjoy a glass of wine .. or two. Looking for a casual and comfy place to call home in the Brunswick, Brunswick East, North Carlton, Carlton, Fitzroy and Fitzroy North area. I would be keen to start a new house!!
Hey i'm a geeky chill gamer (mainly dota) looking for a room and laid back housemates with integrity, in a comfortable, secure household. And decent net haha. I work consistent casual hours in the cbd in a position i've had for several years. I'm relaxedly looking to move back into Admin work, but fine to keep going in my current job too. Either way, I have savings, so wont be short for rent. I cook healthy, do my part, respect privacy, know how to house-share, and keep messes to my own room. I'm not religious, but tolerant and respectful of others views. I've been living with a pack of 20-25yo dudes for the last 3 years, and with a lovely 27yo viet homeowner girl for a few years before that. I get along with all sorts. I don't smoke (don't mind at all if you're a 420 fan, but NO ice ta), rarely drink lots. I'm not overly princessy and am flexi with kitchen/bathroom use times. I frequently spend time quietly in my own space; gaming, drawing digitally, reading, but am happily sociable and easy to lure out for a cuppa or a beer. I occasionally like to get crafty, and adore making geeky costumes now and then - love halloween, PAX or other occasion to dress up (as you'll see on insta). I don't need a large room, though reliable Internet is a must! Commute wise: Ideally within 30mins to the cbd via train/tram. Geeks would be cool? <3 Non geeks are fine too! Honestly your gender, age, ethnicity, sexual preferences etc. are not an issue to me. But please don't have a carpet of human hair, scary exposed wires near the sink or casual homeless squatters like that one apartment that one time.. lol Check my social media verifications below, (sorry im a bit of a goof on twitter.. hah)
Hi, I'm Mike, late 20's professional working in innovation portfolio management. Relocating back to Melbourne to take up a new position with a university in the city. Have had fantastic share house experiences in Sydney, Melbourne, London and Shanghai over the past 10 years. Here's hoping the good luck continues 😊 Ideally looking for a place I can stay for a minimum of 4 weeks, longer would be great! If you are looking for a flatmate who is clean, considerate, pays bills on time, open minded and likes to travel, inbox me, I'd be delighted to hear from you 🙋
I am a science student studying at the University of Melbourne. I am laid back, and enjoy chilling out on weekdays. I love watching live music, and try to be a social as possible in my off time.
Hi potential future-flatmates!! I'm from Hobart, Tasmania, and I've just moved to Melbourne for university (UniMelb), so I'm hoping to find a place in that area somewhere. I play hockey and I also do a bit of orienteering (bonus points if you don't have to google 'what is orienteering'), and I've got a bike to get from A to B. That makes me sound quite a bit more energetic than I am, but I do have my lazy moments (trust me). Also, if you want a pub-buddy, then look no further! Say 'beer' or 'wine' or 'alcohol' and I'll be there with bells on. Same goes for coffee. And food. And overseas trips. I hope that I'm easy to live with, I do chores and I generally clean up after myself. I listen to music a lot, especially when I'm studying, but if you don't like that then thats why I've got headphones. I don't mind moving into a non-furnished place, but if its furnished, then, well, what a bonus. I don't smoke, I love animals, I'm not a morning person, and I eat almost continuously (but don't worry, I wont eat your food). I like sitting down for a Netflix marathon, and also occasionally having house dinners. I've ticked 'working part-time' because hopefully I will have a casual hospo job by then (anyone know of one going..?) but I am currently unemployed, unfortunately. Also flexible with moving in dates and preferred length of stay. Hopefully my rambling has convinced you that I'd be a cool person to live with! If you think so just give me a yell and we can meet up!!
We are a couple from the US (don't worry, neither of us voted for Trump). Ramses, 24, is studying Physiology in Melbourne this semester. Stacia, 22 but soon 23, has been teaching English to elementary schoolers in France, but will be visiting Australia in April and May. We both like to cook, listen to music, be outdoors, and enjoy a night out with good company or stay in, watch some movies, and drink a bottle of wine (or three). We're respectful, serious, and happy people. Nice to meet you :)
I'm looking to live with 2-3 others in a spacious house somewhere in the vicinity of Fitzroy, Carlton, Brunswick East, or Northcote areas. I currently live in Fitzroy North and love the area. I work full-time in the city as a super helpline consultant, but studied psychology and kinesiology. Interested in natural medicine, love films and enjoy theatre (although saw much more when I was living in London!) Looking for a medium to large room, as I also have 6 guitars to house. I enjoy cooking, music, and reading (and sometimes netflix), but trying to be a bit more active this year and get fit too. Used to do aikido but now doing a yoga course and planning to try and ride my bike more. I'm looking for gay-friendly housemates that like to get along with the people they live with, and are clean and tidy, but enjoy a homely house. I'm in a long distance relationship right now (Canberra), so my gf comes to visit once every 2mths or so (and visa versa). I need to move out by end of March or April, so if this suits you, please get in touch and we can arrange to meet. Larissa :)
Hi everyone my name is Andrés, I'm a civil and environmental engineer. I'm going to Melbourne for 3 months as an international visitor at UniMelb; I'm 25 years old, I'm really open, friendly, funny and easy going guy; I'm very tidy, clean and organized person. I have many hobbies such as travel, discover new places and cultures; I'm considered that I cooked ok, at least I have never burned my food jaja I love animals, actually I have a beautiful husky. My main hobbies are: travel, meet new cultures, learn new languages and have a nice conversation with other people.
Hey my name is Bronwen, I'm 25 years old. I just started my Masters in Development Studies at Melb Uni. I have just returned down under after living overseas for two years in South Africa & Nepal working in development. I have a bachelor in visual arts and worked as a video editor so I'm a big media and art lover. Loving having a drink at a good exhibition. I love traveling and keen to share stories and hear about some cool places to go. I like to think i'm a pretty chill roomie and share house trained. Clean, friendly and I go with the flow, pretty drama free. I come with some great share house stories too. I'm a vego but not a NARC. I love a good mac and cheese or chickpea salad. I'm love being active, especially love my weekend hikes and swims. I am looking for a great group of people to live with who are social and love having a beer after work or going out for a boogie. I’d love to find some good pals but with a nice balance of quiet time. It's crunch time and gotta hit the books for uni! My budget is max $200 a week. I'm definitely looking for somewhere long term and a place to call home. Flexible with move in dates any time between now Mid April. Definitely happy to team up and start something new too.
Irish guy moving to Melbourne. Very easy going and clean. Looking for full time finance work. Outgoing, so normally not in the house too much, love meeting new people and I have never had any issues with prior room mates. I love cooking for myself and others, though i am not very good at it! Really approachable guy if you do have anything you need to say. Moving to a new city, open to meeting anyone! Feel free to get in touch
Hi, my name is Nicole and I am 26yo. I work full-time in the city and also part-time as a group fitness trainer - so I am not home much during the week. I enjoy cooking, running and reading in my spare time. Clean and tidy flatmate, I am looking for fun, relaxed people to live with :)
Hello, I'm a 22 year old girl from the Netherlands. I study biomedical engineering and come to Melbourne to do my internship at the University of Melbourne for 4 months. I’m an active and sportive girl, who likes to play volleyball and have fun. I’m clean, enterprising, enthusiastic and I like to meet new people. I’m looking for a furnished room in a social house with people that do nice things together, for example cook together, watch movies and drink beers in the evening. I’m looking forward to come to Melbourne, experience new things and meet new people!
Hi! My name is Wilson Jaksetič, and I'm a happy-go lucky Client Relations Manager for a firm in South Melbourne. I'm a very extroverted, positive and sometimes funny guy who feeds off like-minded individuals. In short, I'm a creative, who doesn't mind to party but works full time during the week. I work in advertising, so I come with a crippling gin and caffeine habit. On bad days, I'll mix the two. On good days, I'll mix the two. I'm getting off topic. I'm friendly, outgoing and very silly; but also polite, clean and I respect other people's space. I'm looking for awesome people to live with, people that don't mind a laugh or five and drinks to match. I'm looking for a place to hang my hat up at night, but to also call home and feel safe and welcome. The 14th of March is when my current lease ends (I started a share house in Clayton a year ago). If you feel my Velociraptor skull would be a fine addition to your mantlepiece, or you just want to hear how I got shot at by Papua New Guinean rebels when I was 16, I look forward to meeting you! (Just forgot to add; I'm LGBT friendly, of course)
I'm a 23 y/o female science graduate hailing from Adelaide and am moving to Melbourne in the next month to work as a research assistant in a breast cancer laboratory. In my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends, volunteering for causes I care about, discovering good restaurants and going to gigs and art galleries. I equally love a quiet night in with a homemade meal (I love cooking), a cup of tea and a good book. I'm currently in a long-distance relationship with my boyfriend of 3 years, so I also like to spend some time talking to him on the phone each day. I have a fun, easygoing and caring nature and am committed to maintaining a tidy, comfortable home. I'd love to share a place with someone who has similar interests and values and who I can have a good chat with (though I do also appreciate the need to have alone time now and then!). While I don't have pets of my own, I do love animals and am happy to live with other people's furry friends!
Moving to Melbourne from Adelaide for work. Initially looking for somewhere short-term while I organise myself then looking for somewhere longer term if all goes well. I've lived overseas for 2 years but haven't lived out of home in Australia - looking forward to it! More of a cider drinker than a beer drinker. High School Science Teacher.
I'm a 21 year old kiwi who has been living in Melbourne for the past three years. At the end of last year I moved out of one of the colleges at Melbourne uni and am now looking to move into a sharehouse a long-term lease. I've just finished my undergrad degree at Melbourne uni, having done a double major in French and International Politics. I'll be continuing study doing Honours at Melbourne uni this year, so, wherever I end up living, I'll be around the house a fair amount when I'm not at uni, playing sport, at band rehearsals or doing casual work shifts. I'm a pretty chilled out kind of person but also enjoy the occasional party, so I'm happy to fit in with any home vibe! I'm quite a sociable person and am always up for a chat, so I'm hoping to move into a house with social housemates. I also love meeting new people and trying new things, so I'll enjoy living with anyone provided they're clean and respectful.
My name is Tamara. I'm 28, and I'm an occupational therapist, working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (Royal Park). It's a 9-5 job, and I love what I do. My other interests include: anything musical (I play the violin and piano), running, cooking/baking, cycling, hiking, socialising, food/wine and spending time with friends and family. I'm very easy going, I keep things clean, and I'm respectful of others. I've lived in share houses for years and know how to live happily with other people.
To whom it may concern, I need a room for almost a year. Clean and tidy malaysian studying in University of Melbourne and working part time, thanks. Makes good Chinese dishes and easy going. Thanks.
I'm a full time worker in Parkville and need a private room or studio apt in February. I cook and clean, can hold a conversation and stay fit and healthy. Rent will never be late, I can easily keep to myself, will join in for a drink or meal if you're up for it. Only own a mattress, will be buying a TV and furniture soon if needed.
Hey there! I decided to ditch small town Perth and hit the big city! I'm pretty cruisy, enjoy a morning coffee and some yoga and the occasional glass of red. Looking to live with people roughly the same age as myself! But don't hit me up unless you can handle terrible puns!
Hey, I will be working in Melbourne at Mercedes-Benz from March for at least half a year and I originally come from Germany. I lived in many shared flats before and also outside of Germany. For half a year I was in Spain, so I'm used to other cultures and languages and really down to earth. If you want to know more about me just write me

Life-long Melbournian here, avid coffee drinker and movie buff. When I'm not working full time in the city I'm probably doing casual exercise, lying on a beach, reading, visiting galleries or out on the town with a few friends. I will point out every dog I see while doing any of this. Always down to catch up over some quiet beers, on the town or in the backyard, watch some movies, and bonus points if you have a cat or dog. Of course I'm a clean, respectful, reliable housemate and anything else you could hope for. Let me know if there's anything else I can tell you :)
- Clean - Friendly - Sharehouse trained - Graphic Design student - Employed - Love to cook - Passionate about art, music, health and fitness
Here's a bit about me :) I work in hospo and will be commencing study in May. I pay rent and bills on time, am clean but not too clean and know how to respect peoples personal space. I enjoy occasionally having a chin wag while sharing a glass of wine or a beer , enjoy going to gigs, gardening, cooking, embroidery, curling up with a good book and have days where all I want to do is chill out to a movie or tv show. The 18th of April is the last date I can move, moving earlier than this is no problem.
i'm Opal. 25 years old girl from Thailand. i'm really like your place! i'm half graphic designer / half sandwich girl now. trying to balance my life between art and kitchen, my currently place is in the city but i'm finding some place more peace and private i'm neat and clean, chill and easy going. i love cooking, art, music and gigs, film, travel, picnic. i'm not smoke but always up for drink this link should be the best way to introduce myself. 😀
First and foremost, I am a cheese enthusiast. But I also consider myself an easy going person who is approachable, friendly and reliable. I am also a clean person. Having lived in share houses throughout my adult life, I understand the responsibilities and benefits of keeping your home from turning into a pig sty. I enjoy cooking. This includes communally because I think it is really great to live in a house environment where people feel included and welcomed. I really enjoy a good book and movie and also discussing and deciphering books and movies in great detail. Gardening is another hobby of mine and I am willing and able to help contribute to or create a veggie patch.
LGBQTI, Pet, Smoker, Mop, Bucket and just about every other kind of friendly you could ask for. Have lived in a LOT of sharehouses lately so get along with all sorts. Looking for a mid-long term stay to find new friends and develop my musical, comedic, political, philosophical, gardening interests with people. I'm a returned traveller come scholarship student at RMIT City and am searching for work so I volunteer with Indigenous students to fulfil my civil duty and ease my peer's moral reprimands.
My name is Danae. I am a 33 year old herbalist and nutritionist. I work full time, enjoy yoga, running and walking for fitness and love going out for dinner/drinks with friends for fun. I also enjoy nights in with good food, wine and a movie.
I'm originally from the UK, but moved to Australia when I was 9. I'm dedicated to my studies but have a bubbly, fun personality. I'm looking forward to making some new friends and making memories to last a lifetime! For fun I like to read and play multiple sports aswell.
PhD Student at Melbourne University moving across from Adelaide. Clean and relatively quiet but does like to socialise.
My gorgeous staffy x dog and I are looking for a home. She needs a home where the housemates don't just allow pets but love dogs. She loves company and wants to be with you, whether that's following you around or playing tug 'o war. Another dog would be awesome too. She's house trained, regularly walked and well loved. Cleaner than a small child! I would ideally like to live with 2 other people or 3 where there is some social times but not an expectation. More than happy to live with couples of any gender combos. Just a good mix or social times and independence. An occasional shared meal or drink or chat but I'd probably do more meals independently. People who are respectful of boundaries and reasonably clean and a bit of fun and banter. Housemates who are also cool with a partner or friends swinging by but by no means all the time.
Electrical Engineer moving from Perth to Melbourne, working full time in the automotive industry. Pretty chilled out dude, always up for a casual beer and some sports but my heavy partying days are mostly behind me so not really looking for a party house. Love playing sport and keeping active, and on the lookout for a new footy (AFL) club to play for (so if you play as well, great!). Love my beer and wine and attempting to cook new food (and most likely failing). Looking for a room around the Brunswick area and hopefully with housemates who will quickly become mates.
Hi! I am Nicolas, a French Graphic Designer working full time in Southbank and I would be delighted to live near Carlton area, North Melbourne or even south Melbourne. I am tidy, adore great wine and great conversation. I love out door activities, bike riding, climbing, swimming...
Just moved to Melbourne to start a Master at UniMelb. I'm originally from France, but have lived in the US and in Canada. I'm friendly, laid-back, enjoy meeting new people and looking to discover every part of this city!
Heyyy!! I'm Sue Ann. I'm looking for teamups around brunswick, carlton, parkville, well basically anywhere near University of Melbourne that doesn't require much walking because I usually study late at the library. My rent budget is $250 per week including bills but willing to go a little higher if the place is good. I prefer an unfurnished unit because I've always had a fantasy of furnishing a place with a friend. Anyways, I'm pretty flexible with furnishing. I'm currently in Malaysia and I'll only be back on the 17th but temporarily I have a place to stay so moving in date can be a few weeks later. I'm a real home buddy when I have no plans, I like staying at home just lazing around and watching movies. I'm not a great cook to be honest I usually just cook to survive. I always in a mood to learn new things, going on road trips, outdoor activities, music festivals (if I had the company). I'm born and raised in Malaysia so I have a very strong "Singlish" (a mixture of Chinese and English) accent, so yeah you can make fun of me and get to learn a bit about my culture. If you're interested in teaming up with me do drop a message. Cheers!
I am a 26 year old who loves to enjoy life. When I'm not putting long stints in in the office, I am wining and dining or going to music festivals and parties with my friends. I also love to cook, go for runs and do yoga. I currently live with three dudes which is super fun as there is constantly stuff going on; happy with a similar set up or some females for a nice change. I am really easy going and easy to live with, as well as being thoughtful and considerate of others. Looking forward to a new happy household somewhere in the north!
Very social but also love my own time 😀 like to have a drink on occasion and have a good time with great company. I love going to the football, Richmond supporter to be aware of in advance 😂. Currently a full time student studying community services and nearly finished!! Very neat and tidy and respectful of people's space. Loves random banter and people who can have a laugh. Preferably looking at moving into a new home share.
I've been house-sharing in Melbourne for the past 6 years and I like for a house to feel like a home. This usually comes down to the people in it! I'm extremely friendly, approachable and open minded. Once you know me I'm also playful, observant, cheeky, empathetic, and almost no topic of conversation is off-limits. After a big day of socialising I'll probably chill in the courtyard (with any luck, where I live will have one) with a book on my own for a little bit to recharge. I am 'house trained' as in I treat things with respect, ask first if I'm ever using someone else's stuff and clean as I go - I'd like my housemates to value the same mantra. I'm not a huge party goer so it wouldn't make sense for me to team with anyone who is! Bitching, judging, preaching, passive-aggressive nonsense etc. all don't bode well with me and I wouldn't stick around for it in a house enviro. I'm all about the live and let live life. I enjoy reading, music/gigs, exploring, watching movies/TV series, hiking, camping, exercising (irregularly, of course) and a bunch of other things but I sure don't need my housemates to have the same interests :) I'm looking for somewhere in the following suburbs: - Brunswick/Brunswick East - Parkville - North Melbourne - Northcote - Collingwood - Fitzroy - Richmond - South Melbourne My preference will be at a place with amazing people, but it's also a priority for me to be walking or cycling distance to a market/supermarket. I don't have any pets but a household open to them would be ace as I'm keen on adopting a cat. A house with a no pets rule, however, is not a deal breaker.
Hello there :) I am a 30 years old, PhD student at The University of Melbourne and I am based at The Royal Children Hospital to do my studies. I was born in Italy and lived there until 4 years ago. Then Melbourne captured me with its sunsets, stunning views and multicultural&funky vibe. I am looking for share housemates who are open, respectful, friendly and don't need all the time to do things together to feel they have a good vibe in the house. I can offer the same in exchange. I want a cosy place that will feel like home _a place where I can relax and get rid of the PhD&life stresses. Don't mind if you do parties or have friends over and I hope I may be able to invite few friends over, too (I like to host small pizza party - i have an electric oven which simulates a woodfired oven ;) ). However, I am not up for a constant party house. I like people and i usually get along with others easily if things are communicate openly. I want to leave in a decent and clean space. I am happy to participate in a cleaning roster (actually i would prefer that so no need to argue about who did the bathroom last time ;) ). Things that makes me happy... hang out in parks, having long skype calls with my family&friends, doing yoga, exercising, going to markets or second hand shops, going to the Abbotsford Convent, cooking and baking, talking about science and philosophy (don't worry not too heavy stuff!), art galleries wondering. I am Pescis if this matters ;)
Hi potential flatmate(s). I'm a financially dependable 33y/o guy who works full time in the city with a fairly autonomous role in the training industry and am simultaneously working to get my startup side business off the ground. I play a fair bit of golf on the weekends, enjoy running, AFL, watching doccos, traveling when time permits, and have been described by those around me as down to earth, easy going and someone who doesn't sweat the small stuff. I love a beer, or a decent glass of red, can cook (follow recipes) reasonably well, although am the sort of person to hit up Uber eats and/or get a bite out most nights. I've been house sharing for most of the past ten years, although was recently living with my (now ex) girlfriend, hence why I'm back trying to find a decent place and people to share it with. I'm well and truly past the party house stage, and/or the extremely minimalist/mismatched IKEA furniture stage, and like the idea of coming home to a modern place that I'm genuinely proud to live in. Really just looking for a relaxed and sociable housemate to live with, in a decent spot, preferably inner city and within walking distance of somewhere to get a coffee on the weekend, where I'd also have access to my own bathroom.
My name is Jamine and I am looking for a new long term home. A place that is important to me with flatmates I care about. :) I have been in few share houses since arriving in Melbourne 13 years ago (French-Tunisian originally and now Australian). I am definitely house trained, tidy, respectful and fun with a capacity for deep conversation too. I like getting to know the people I live with. Some of my best friends are ex-flatmates. I enjoy time alone as much as time with others. I live a beautiful life with meditation practice, dancing, working as a psychotherapist, locuming as a social worker, improv theatre, swimming almost everyday and attending some workshops or gigs. I would love to meet you all by coming in for an interview. Jamine :)
Hey there! My name's Maria, I come from Spain and I'm 28. I'm starting a PhD at the Doherty Institute here in Melbourne and I'm looking for a warm place to live. I'll be working full-time during weekdays and I'll probably have to work at home, but I enjoy chatting while drinking some wine or beer in my free time, watching netflix, reading... I enjoy some time alone as well, but I'm overall a social, joyful and positive person who likes spending time with her mates. I'm a quite active person, I love doing sport and attending to dance classes and I like having a healthy lifestyle. I'm also very tidy and respectful. Just message me if I sound like someone you'd like as a mate and hopefully friend and confident!:)
Greetings :) We are a young professional same-sex couple seeking a teamup for a roomy shared townhouse (or such) in Melbourne, Carlton/ Carlton North or inner East/ North Melbourne. We are both comfortable, clean, easy-going, and love good chats and a bit of fun every now and then but also really value some down-time and rest after a long day of work. We currently live in a cosy apartment in South Yarra, our lease is ending on the 15th of May and we wish to secure a place by early-mid April at the latest. What kind of home we are looking to share: Our main goals with our new home is to reduce the amount of rent we are paying currently and have a bigger home with a roomy backyard and living area. We are looking to team up with 2 other people (don't mind couples) for a 3 bedroom house/ townhouse. Our main requirements are a minimum of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (preferably ensuites), a backyard, for the location to be within 5-10km of Melbourne CBD, and combined rent of less than $680 per week (divided by 4 people, $740 per month each max). We have an adorable fluffy feline son named Wilbur who is about 6.5 years old, he is a very calm and well-natured cat. His only activities include intermittently switching from deep sleeping, intense eating and purry snuggling. He is incredibly comfortable and loving with new people, clean, and very self-sufficient. He does occasionally want to play and have a bit of a run around but his most loved activity is curling up to sleep. A little bit about us: We both have full-time 9-5 jobs during the week and prefer quiet evenings during the week, occasionally having dinners with friends every now and then but that is the most we do on weeknights - reserving most of our going out/ socializing and such to weekends. We have a good small bunch of close friends who we love seeing as often as time and energy permits. We love a bit of a boogie once or twice a month whether it be in the form of a cosy little house party or a 5 day doof out in the bush. Despite this, we aren't huge party animals and strongly value a good work, rest, play balance. As housemates, we love cleanliness but also understand that with full-time work and a busy lifestyle sometimes a pristine, perfect home is not always achievable. This is absolutely okay with us but we would always ensure that a thorough clean-up is done at least once a week. We also love a friendly environment at home, having a chat over a smoke, tea or wine once in a while but some nights we just want to retreat into the couch or our bedroom and sleep or binge watch Netflix or documentaries about quantum physics, consciousness or the world of psychedelics. We also love plants, candles, incense, art, all kinds of music and prefer eating a predominantly vegetarian, dairy-free diet. What we are looking for in housemates: - a reliable, honest and compassionate person - transparency and trust-worthiness - MUST be LGBTIQ+ friendly and aware - relatively clean and cat friendly - easy-going, open-minded, well read and responsible - someone who matches similarly to our profile, has a sound work, rest, play balance What we don't want in housemates: - excessive drinking, partying, etc - expectations to socialize all the time - cat allergies/ dislike If this sounds like you or we sound like people you would see yourself living with - hit us up with a little bit about yourself, include your favorite film or song and why you love it. Happy house hunting x
I am an easy going , fun loving working female and looking to move out from my current place.I am clean and try to keep my surroundings also clean.
Hi guys, I am Kayla and from Vancouver, Canada. I study International Development at UOM. My partner, Calvin, is from Tasmania and works for a non-profit in the city. We are both busy, laid back people. We enjoy traveling and the outdoors and are also social people. We would prefer to live with people that enjoy socializing with their housemates as well as living their own independent lives so that there is a nice environment to come home too.
2nd Year uni student studying at Melbourne Uni, currently working at a bar in the city + at Etihad Stadium.
Hi! My name is Amanda and I am 23 years old. I currently live in Brisbane, but will be moving to Melbourne in April for a job as a flight attendant. I'm a registered nurse and a registered midwife, however I'm not practicing. I'm a clean, easy going person, who enjoys socialising but also loves her alone time! Ideally I am looking for housemates that I can form friendships with (as I don't know many people in Melbourne), but also enjoy their alone time. I'm vegan, but am happy to be living in a household with all sorts of diets! The only must for me is a place with a carpark!
Hi, I'm 21, I'm enrolled at university in Melbourne. I'm unpretentious, tidy, I always pay bills on time. Not serious, I have lots of friends at my uni and look forward to being able to go out and see them more often when I move to the city. I like art and music a lot. I study the social sciences and hope to be a sociologist. As for now I work in hospitality, but considering switching to retail. Advice in the field of retail is always welcome. Hope to hear from you and, if you consider me, I look forward to meeting you.
Easy going couple from the UK looking for somewhere to stay for a few weeks. We both work full time, Jordan in labouring and Gabby in hospitality. We are clean and tidy. We are also friendly but like our own space. Hope to hear from you :)
Hi there. I'm a 21, a registered nurse and midwife (so medical advice can be given, especially about babies but at your own risk haha), this also means that I like being clean and neat. Not to mention I clean to wind down after a couple of cheeky wines. (I have also been known to do laundry and iron too, so if the housemates are feeling a little lazy this week haha) Currently I'm working full time (and a bit) As a dental nurse/ admin in Carlton and will be starting as a midwife in May at the RWH.
Hey, I'm looking for a relaxed share house with people who are up for sharing a meal or a wine occasionally but also value their own space. I'm in the last six months or so of my PhD at RMIT in the city. Technically still a student but I'm at uni during office hours on weekdays. I play some music on the side (piano and guitar), and also like to cook every now and then. Keen to find a place with a cute dog and/or cat but will settle for friendly people. :)

I am outgoing outside of my living space and enjoy music and art festivals, keeping fit, going out to bars, doing yoga and I am a performer of improvised comedy - I'm a pretty busy gal! I'm very clean, easy going, respectful of others spaces, but when appropriate I love nothing more than having a chat with housemates and eating some good food/watching some trash tv.
Just moved for London to start 2 yr working visa. My profession is a Chef so will be out a fair bit, but happy to spend time with homemates in down time. Still job hunting but financially stable for the first 6 months at least. Clean dude and respectful of others. Sporty and like to socialize alot and might just cook you dinner.
My name is Priscila, I'm 24 years old. I'm a student and work part time as a barista, which means I'm not home a lot during the weekends. I'm a pretty social person, I really enjoy yoga, photography, long bush walks, healthy eating and the occasional drinks with friends. I'm currently looking for a place to call home and it would be great to find some lovely people who share the same interests to do that with me.
About me, im Penny, 32 yr old guy, working for a footwear and clothing company in the CBD and currently living in Abbotsford temporarily after living the last 2-3 years in Brunswick. I like living in a clean and well maintained place and am very much share house trained and clean, respectful around the house. Like your ad mentions im also keen to live with someone who looks after the house and isnt just a room dweller, having a good home life is really important to balance out the stresses of work and life ! Im not the greatest in the kitchen but im trying to learn new meals, i have a girlfriend who is a chef so hopefully i can learn a few tricks! I have a little 3 yr old cat who is house trained and very quiet, shes really cute and friendly most of the time. My other hobbies include music, movies, finding new places to eat at, visiting galleries and exhibitions and hanging with friends and family. Im not the type to bring the party back home but will enjoy the occasional housemate dinner/drinks where possible : ) I guess some other things about me are , im Australian with italian/british background, occasionally make some music as a hobby (dont worry i use headphones so its never noisey!) I have an older brother that lives in Melbourne who i try and catch up with most weeks/fortnights and i work full time in the CBD , varying shifts from 9am-5pm , 12noon-8pm most of the time Anything else you would like to know please ask, let me know if you think i could be a good addition to your home thanks Penny
Hey- I'm new to Melbourne and looking for a place! Just moved here after spending a year in Sydney but I'm originally from WA. I work in coffee- I have a full time job running the training program for Market Lane. One great perk of living with me is unlimited free coffee. Also I love boardgames. I like a communal house vibe- cooking together occasionally, having a drink etc, and am looking for respectful/tidy housemates (just the usual stuff I guess.) Hit me up!
I'm Mikki Working as an usher at Arts Centre Melbourne whilst I explore various creative mediums on the side (currently mosaics are my obsession). I'm a clean, respectful housemate who wants to find somewhere I can call home. I love a good bike ride and a good chat yet feel I'm good at picking up when somebody just wants some wind down time after work etc 😊 (Come equipped with a record player and the sweet beats to spin)
Seasoned sharehouser who is respectful of people and spaces. Between two part time jobs, studies and an art practice I'm pretty busy but always up for a chat/beverage/meal with housemates if available. I like checking out galleries and creative events, heading to gigs sometimes and I read alot. Have lots of art (stored in my studio) which can be utilised in the home. Don't have any whitegoods or communal furniture, happy to invest if the need arises.
I'm from Sao Paulo, Brazil and I'm living in Melbourne since November/16. I'm studying English and working part-time. I'll extend my VISA but I'm still searching about the course :) I'm a simple girl who enjoy to hang out with friends, have a drink, walk in park, I love to appreciate art/murals. I can't live without listening music, I love it! Also I love pets, good food and stay all day on the beach until the sunset. Most of the time I'm working in the morning/afternoon and studying in the evening. I like to talk, to visit new places and to spent my time with good people :)
I'm Joel and I live and work full time in the very small pond of Brunswick. Why would you wanna live anywhere else? Outside of working my arse off, I'm a musician in a really crap band, travel heaps and like to talk about ridiculous ideas that may/may not/probably won't change the world. I'm looking for what every other normal person in their
