My name is Jana and I'm a creative! I am currently working part time (but basically full time) as an optical dispenser, however try to create art and do projects as much as I can on the side. I enjoy yoga, sunshine, swimming, going to cinema nova almost weekly and a glass of wine with dinner every now and then! I consider myself clean, tidy, and enjoy both alone time and having interesting discussions about the world. (Also always down for a glass of wine) I also watch a fair few films weekly, so if you're into that I'm always up for a movie watching session! I'm looking for friends as well as housemates!
Hey there! My name is Jess! I am looking for accommodation local to the hospital precinct in North Melbourne/Parkville area. I work full time shift work as a Nurse and so I am interested in living with others who are of a similar age (mid twenties or older) who are respectful of each other's space and privacy and appreciate a more down to earth and chill living environment. Ideally, I am looking to live near by to work in Parkville/neighboring suburbs, or on a tram line to help me get to work. I am an easy going person who has experience living in a share house before. Appreciate a tidy place and I am respectful of other people's privacy and space. However, I also enjoy living with others who enjoy sharing a meal/coffee/glass of wine and a flick together. Please feel free to message if interested!
I am Ilaria, 29 yo, italian! I currently work as an architect in Carlton, but I also study Construction Management in South Melbourne. In my free time (when I get some 😀 ) I like to go out, explore my photographic creativity, do yoga and maybe check some art exhibition, or simply chill at home with a good book! I am friendly but also respectful, plenty of experience in house sharing, so I definitely know how to keep communal spaces clean and be respectful of other's privacy, but also be there for a drink or a chat occasionally.
Hi! I'm 27, originally from Brisbane. I moved to Melbourne last year for work (I work full-time in research at Uni Melb). Have been living on my own so far but looking to move into the right share place to save some money and meet some new people. I tend to be quite active and out-doorsy. Throughout the week I tend to be out and about a lot (Jogging, bouldering, hanging out in coffee shops) and am always keen to try new things and get outside the city. I'm a pretty tidy person, and tend to be an early riser. I like my space, but would love to live in a place with a friendly vibe, and people who enjoy a chat or Netflix session throughout the week. I don't have any pets but am nuts for dogs so massive bonus if you have a friendly dog around! My budget is anywhere from $200-$350, just depending on the place. Would prefer somewhere with at least 2 other people. I'd need a few weeks notice (preferably at least 3) to wrap up my current lease. Am open to getting together with the right people to start a new place as well. Please get in touch if you think we'd be a good fit!
Hi, people! I love to share experiences and chat with others. I am easy going, enjoy cooking, and to do sport. I always keep home tidy and consider myself to be a reliable person. After working as an industrial mechanic, I studied biology, and now working as an immunologist in Melbourne. I like the Aussie's life style and want to integrate into this society. I love using the bike when commuting although I recently acquired a small van to visit the surroundings and more. I will be ready to move in from 30th October. Please, contact me for more info ;) All the best,
How do, I like to think I tick the basic flatmate boxes pretty comfortably; very clean, prompt with the bills, sociable and quite relaxed. I like to do my part. I work fairly long hours with a ticketing company - that shall not be named. I've started doing some amateur running, though I counter this exercise with a cheeky drink here and there and a soft spot for pizza.
I'm a 32 year old straight single male born and bred Melburnian working in the city as an urban planner. I'm seeking a new home as the lease on my current house is up. I'll need a new place by the 25th of September but am happy to secure a room before that. I'm looking for an established household in the inner north with people in similar age groups. I work full time in the city with pretty standard 9-5 hours or later and sometimes go away for work too, for stints of up to a week. I've lived with housemates over many years and am very respectful of peoples space. Looking to live with people who are easygoing and independent, caring and compassionate and generally engaged with what is going on in the world around them. I clean up after myself and generally contribute to a clean shared living environment. I'm financially stable and pay bills on time. Some of my interests include: Wine and cooking Riding bikes, mainly as transport Reading, politics and movies Urban planning, cities and other stuff related to that Yoga (recently started this and am enjoying it) Travel Footy. I play pub footy. Maybe you know about this? Keeping healthy and active. Sort of Hope to hear from you soon and feel free to flick me some questions.
Update: We are still looking for a house that offers two clean (preferably furnished) rooms which costs max. $260 per week per each, and with this cost we hope that it includes bills & internet. We will arrive in Melbourne on the 1st of September, both plan on staying in an hostel whilst doing inspections 'till we find something that suits our needs. If you got anything to offer don't hesitate to send me a message! We're two easy to get along with Dutch film students looking for seperate private rooms because we like to have some privacy when needed. Other than that we're keen to live in a shared house and get to know some interesting people. We both have an internship for 6 months so we shall be working full-time. Outside of working hours we'll be either resting or taking the time to explore Melbourne. We don't mind having a drink or two on the weekends.
I have recently returned from 18 months travelling around North and South America and am settling down in Melbourne. I'm laid back, enjoy a few drinks and great food and am hoping to join a house with a fun homely vibe. I'm into climbing, yoga, good books, music and being outside. Professionally I work in consulting and am financially stable / reliable.
My name is Tash, I'm 28, I study urban design at Melbourne uni and work a few nights a week in hospo. I spend the rest of my time hanging with pals, reading, watching movies, getting out into nature, playing netball and straight up chilling. I like dogs, cats, wine, memes, bonding with housemates in doorways, cooking for other people, and laying in the sun. I pay bills on time and clean up after myself. Happy to go on the lease if that's what you need, and always have had really great relationships with housemates 🙂 Really keen to check out your place and see if I'd be a good fit!
I am a 28 year old digital designer working full time. I'm pretty easy going guy, social, into music and play a bit of guitar. Plenty of rental history with both genders. Lease runs out on the 22nd of September so will be looking to move around then. I also come with a cat named Dexter. He is a super chilled 2 year old tabby that loves food and sleeping.
We're a vibrant, easy going and active couple from Auckland and Canberra. We both enjoy a clean home so we are more than happy to chip in with our share of the cleaning. Both of us work in specialty coffee and enjoy socialising on a regular basis. Always keeping our social activities outside of home to keep the place quiet and peaceful. Reliability is an important trait to the both of us and so you can be sure that we'll always pay the rent and bills on time :)
Hi, My name is Natalia I'm originally from Brazil, but I've been here for a year now. I'm a PhD student at unimelb studying in the field of cancer research. I'm looking to live with someone around my age, reliable, clean and tidy. I'm definitely not looking to live in a party house. I'm quiet and normally I will keep to myself, but I will love to have a chat and wine at the end of the week. I love tv shows and if I'm at home I will probably be glued to my computer, but I get together with my fellow brazilians as often as I can. I'm still exploring the city, so if you have any tips please speak out! As a PhD student with experiments running I have some crazy days, but I work mostly from 10-6pm. I'm reliable with all my bills and would like to live in a small house (max 3 bedroom). Please feel free to send me a message asking questions! Cheers, Natalia
I have been living in Auckland for the past year; now coming back to Australia for university at RMIT and will be going into a BA of Photography. I'd say I'm a fairly chilled person. I also play the clarinet and have been for ten years, that'll be coming with me. I don't smoke or have any pets, just myself, clarinet and small collection of cameras. I am not the go out and party ever night kind, I'd rather say in or go out somewhere nice with a couple of friends. So I won't be throwing any huge parties. I am looking for a room in Melbourne with fantastic flatmates. Only visited Melbourne a few times so I don't know my way around but am ready for a new city and new people.
Hi there! I'm moving from Brisbane to Melbourne most likely in late September and am looking for a friendly and fun household to join. Would really love to find a place that is a 'home' and not just somewhere to sleep at night. I'm a 29 year old Audiologist who is a fan of cheese and wine nights + the occasional dinner party/ board game night. I'm quite social and keep busy, but also like my downtime and personal space some of the time - I'm pretty quiet during the week! I also really enjoy cooking, social sports, plants, trying to be creative, breakfast foods and getting outdoors. I'll be in Melbourne for work in mid August (15-20th) so would be available to come and have a look at potential rooms :)
Hi! I'm Lauren (30), originally from Sydney-ish but making the move down south because I hear it's cooler (in every sense). I'm moving for work (in HR) and am looking for something for a couple of months before my partner moves down too (unless you have an awesome big room and then you could have us a package deal straight up!). While he's still in Sydney he will be coming to visit occasionally so you would have to be ok with an interloper every few weekends. I like to cook and sew and read and craft. And eat. A lot. And drink wine. I tried to yoga for a while, and then I injured myself. I have big ideas about starting some other sports/hobbies but so far they're still in ideas stage.... I’d like to find a place with someone(s) who is tidy and respectful but also likes to be sociable (with me!). I like to hang out but also have some down time by myself., so don’t worry- I won’t be too needy. As I’ll be in new in town, someone with lots of handy hints that they feel like sharing would also be great. I’m generally pretty tidy and proactive - if I notice something that needs doing/buying, I get it did. I have a whole house full of furniture and appliances which I'm happy to share but am hopefully looking for something furnished for now while we sort out something more permanent for the future. I like to do shared meals sometimes (especially since I'm used to cooking for more than one) but happy to my own thing. I have a healthy appreciation of vegetables but not a full vegetarian. I like to share all the essential house and kitchen things (soap, TP, butter etc) but the rest of the time I prefer to do my own shop.
Hello! I'm currently a post grad student at Melbourne Uni in humanities/social sciences and also work 4-5 days p/w in research. Am super easy going, tidy and respectful of other people. Hobbies include film, literature, music and wining and dining. Also enjoy cycling about, travel, hiking/camping, and discovering new places. Thank you
I'm a musician and a creative guy. I'm a freelance editor. I like to go out in Fitzroy in particular. I've just moved from Sydney to Melbourne. I need a place to stay by early August as my sublet in Brunswick West expires then.
Hi, my name is Vicky! I am 26 year old Japanese female who works in the city. I am looking for a short term private room where close to Melbourne city. Anywhere less than 10km from the city would be perfect but not west side please! I will be able to stay in the house/flat for 3 months and half as I need to go back to my country in late November. I prefer to move to a place in very early August but it is flexible! A little bit of my self. I am easy going, happy, friendly, tidy, honest, and respectful. I like spending time with friends and have good laughs though I also love "Me time". Party out not in! I have lived in sharehouses last two years so I reckon I am well house trained myself. I dont mind my future housemates' gender and nationarities. I love meeting new people from all over the world! Looking forward hearing from you soon :D Vicky x
Pre-Note: I'm actually very flexible on when I'd move - whenever it's convenient I'm Anton. I've been in Melbourne almost my whole life, and looking to move closer to my work for an indefinite amount of time. I'm a full-time scientist and my biggest hobby is music, playing and listening. I'm looking forward to moving in somewhere homey where I can feel comfortable in the kitchen or living room with my housemates, with whom I hope to get along with well (as opposed to locked in my room all the time). I consider myself tidy and I will definitely do my part in the house. I like cooking, visual arts, bike riding, skating, various sports. I also speak Spanish and I'm keen to practice my slowly faltering Italian. I will be very respectful of my housemates' personal space and I will keep quiet when appropriate. I definitely don't consider myself a party animal, but I'm keen for social events, and I will gladly tolerate and partake in any in-house social gathering if I'm informed in advance. FYI I have a few things I'd like to fit in my room (such as a moderately-sized desk and double bed) so I'm going to avoid places with tiny rooms.
My fiancé, Dylan, and I are relocating in November from interstate and are looking for a short term living arrangement while getting ourselves settled in Melbourne. We are both professionals with tertiary qualifications, neat, friendly and love a good meal. We have both lived out of home for over 5 years so are quite independent.... plus, Dylan is a qualified pastry chef so maybe he will cook you a dessert or two 😊🍰
Hi There! Danish couple looking for a furnished room in an awesome share house preferably with other students! We met when studying abroad in Brisbane two years ago, and have been dying to get back to Australia and to the life in a share house with some amazing people. Last time around we lived with 9 other international students from around the world. We are both really easygoing, social, and love meeting new people, and would prefer a house that is "homey" and not too dorm like. Marie is studying Software Engineering at the University of Melbourne and Marc is writing his thesis in Economics. We look forward to hearing from you! Cheers
Hello everyone. My name is Ahmad. I'm a University of Melbourne student. I will be studying Master of International Business and my classes are commencing from July 24, 2017. But i am arriving at melbourne on July 6, 2017. I am looking for a shared room (Twin share only) in nearby suburbs of Uni Melb's Parkville Campus like Carlton or Fitzroy etc. I am a muslim and from Pakistan. I am single and a jolly person. I am a Sagittarius :) I am looking for a room mate, preferably Pakistani. If not, then i have no issue with anyone else. My profile should match with my room mate so that we have many things in common. I am looking for a short term stay for like 4-6 weeks, to see how it goes, as i have never lived in share accommodation but have heard from many people that it is a great experience. I like watching and playing sports. Am a fan of movies. I also like to go out to parks, cafe's, restaurants with friends in free time. I love cooking. I don't like being alone, but at times i appreciate some privacy as well. I'm a sincere person and it would be a lovely experience if i find someone sharing same interests as me. Thank You. :)
Hi everyone, I'm Sean. I'm 25 and have just got back from a few months holidaying overseas before continuing my career in IT. I'm clean, relaxed and have a great sense of humour. I'm an avid rock climber, music lover and travel enthusiast. I'm keen to make some good friends and meet new people, but am perfectly comfortable doing my own thing. I've been living in a sharehouse in Brunswick East with two lovely housemates for a few years now so I would like to think I'm reasonably well trained :)
