My girlfriend and I just moved to Brisbane for my postgraduate study at UQ. My girlfriend is a professional speech language pathologist. We are both very outdoorsy and love to hike, climb, and beach. We prefer a quiet, clean home life and enjoy cooking for ourselves. We both love dogs.
Hi! I’m Agnieszka easygoing 24 years old young professional originally from Poland. Currently I work in Paris but I’ll be staying in Brisbane from 21/03/19 and keep working there for my company for a period up to a year. During the weekdays I’m focus on my work and go to the gym, during the evenings I prefer just relax at home so definitely I’m not looking for a party house. However over the weekends I’m always up for a drink, movie or anything outdoors. My max budget is 300 $/ week, I’m very flexible in terms of location, required private room with en-suite bathroom. Feel free to share more information ;) !
Dutchie goes Brisbane for 3 months! I am 27, living in Amsterdam and am super happy to be able to do part of my PhD at UQ and escape the wet and cold European winter. I will be staying from March-May. Will be working full-time, but up for fun things when I'm free. I am an easy going, chilled, happy soul that likes to have a laugh (I've noticed that the Dutch and Australian have similar humor). I enjoy being outdoors, exploring new places, but also love hanging out on the couch binge watching netflix. I exercise, but my even bigger hobbies are wine and food. Would love to live with some like-minded people to make my Aussie adventure even better!
Hi, I'm Tamara; Dutchie moving to Brisbane. Easy going, loving board games, creative and vegan. (No, this doesn't mean that I will force everyone around me to be vegan as well or giving long speeches about why I decided to become vegan. I'm cool with whatever you decide to eat.) Last but not least, I love cats. I have a cat here in Amsterdam (she's the cutest), but unfortunately I have to leave her behind :( I always lived with room mates, so I can say I'm pretty familiar with the whole room mate atmosphere. In general I always try to make sure that I'm considerate of my room mates and also leave a nice environment for them. I love having drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and couch sessions with my roomies, altho I can also enjoy some alone time to recharge my batteries. Sharing houses has always been a nice experience for me. Currently I'm working as a product manager for a sustainable fashion brand, but I feel like a new challenge. That's why I decided to leave my job and country to start fresh in Australia. Please note my intentions are not to back pack, I would actually like to try to built something in Brisbane.
I am a 25 year old law student from Norway who completes my master's degree at the University of Queensland this spring. I am an active and fun person who easily gets along with people. I have lived in a share house with 2 and 4 other boys in Norway for more than four years, so I know how to behave in a share house. I do not smoke and am both neat and adaptable. In my spare time I enjoy running, playing sports, traveling and drinking beers.
Hey! I am about to start my first year at QUT studying primary education after 5yrs of ski instructing here and abroad. I currently work as a casual for a promotional company. When I'm not there you'll find me rock climbing, at the beach or hunting for the next amazing vegan cafe/restaurant! Currently living in the Redlands but am wanting to move closer to the CBD for uni, to be closer to friends and to my climbing gym. I'd love to live in a tidy place, that feels more like a home than a house. A place where everyone gets along and is social with one another but also allows me quiet time to study.
Hey, I'm Kai! I'm currently studying at QUT and work casually in a hotel in Brissy. My lease with my current housemates is ending early February and I am looking for a place to live for 4-5 months as I'll be doing some traveling after. Somewhere closer to the city would be ideal, but not too fussed on that. I'm friendly, open and pretty chill so I'm easy to make friends with and hangout. :) Some days I like to have some down time by myself and other days I like to have fun and socialise. I can balance personal space and social times pretty well so no worries on that! I work as a housekeeper so I know a thing or two about cleaning. Not obsessed over cleanliness, but I do like to keep spaces clean and tidy so you don't have to worry about dishes left in the sink or toothpaste smeared on the basin. I like the outdoorsy stuff like cycling and kayaking, don't mind a cheeky drink or two and I'm always up for a boogey as well as video/card/board games. If not, I'll just be lazing around with a mate or two. I'm looking for responsible, good-natured, sociable and respectful flatmates who wouldn't mind making a new friend! Looking forward to meeting you. :)
Hi next housmate ! I am Marjolaine from France. I am used to come to Australia, in Brisbane or Melbourne where I have Australian friends. I like so much your country, especially Brisbane, that I have decided to stay there for a while. I was a sales assistant for 15 years, very hard worker (my work was everything for me!) but, on March 2018, I have decided to quit it and to live ! I have decided to sell my apartment as well, to start my new life ! So, even if I am not having a salary each month, I can easily pay the rent, not be worried about it !😉 I would like to improve my english and work a little so, I have decided to get a student visa (even at 40 ! Everything is possible..). I am going to have english lessons. About me.. people say that I am very organised, easy going woman, independant, very clean (I am quite maniac, I like doing the cleaning ! It is like cleaning my head at the same time 😁), very tidy and quite as well. I like going to the gym, walking for 1 or 2 hours, laying on the sun. I like to travel; Italy, Spain, New York, French Polynesia, Dubai, Singapour, South of America (...) and Australia of course ! I like meeting new people (even if I can be shy at the beginning), I like to discover other culture. I am the kind of person who will do the most to live my dreams, we only live once.. I am vegetarian but I am ok with meat. I do not like to cook, I can only make french crepes ! 😋 I am a no smoker, no drugs. I like having a glass of wine sometimes, before or after dinner, but never drunk !! I am looking for a nice place, an apartment, with my own room (with windows), and own bathroom, and of course with a nice homestay ! The "plus" would be with a very nice view in a modern place😀. I am looking for a place from end of March/begining of April. That is me and what I am looking for ! 😀 Feel free to ask me whatever you want, I will be glad to answer you. With the pleasure to meet you soon Best Regards, Marjolaine
My name's Soop. I'm an overseas student from Thailand. I'm a man who is looking for a very nice house. I'm clean and tidy. I'm very excited to be here I hope that I will stay in a very nice place that will make me feel good ever.
I currently work in the city for a government agency and am looking for a room in the inner city suburbs. I'm clean, tidy, reliable and friendly. Looking for a social flat with potential new friends as I am new to Brisbane. I enjoy wine, finding new eateries, going on hikes and exploring new places. I love to travel and am a big fan of dogs too.
Thanks for looking at my profile! I am a young full-time professional in architeture who just finished masters at UQ after 6 years of studies and work in Brisbane and overseas; and now looking for a wholesome new place to move to. I am a low key and tidy person and I like to keep busy. I enjoy photography trips, bushwalking, cycling, iceskating, doing personal projects and quality times with friends. I travelled a lot in the recent years and lived in Sweden and Germany for some time until mid last year. I came from a Chinese background with an upbringing in Sweden and China. I can speak Mandarin and understand some German. I would like to be part of a breezy positive vibe in the household. I don't believe that flatmates should be just nice strangers, or necessarily best mates. Flatmates are flatmates: there are boundaries; but there is also an interesting relationship. Let me know if you agree. Looking forward to hear from you!
Hello! I am a backpacker from Estonia who is traveling with my friend. We are looking for a place to stay in Brisbane while we work there. We are both easy going and more of a quiet types. Both of us like animals, reading and traveling.
Hi! I’m a 22 year old girl from Norway looking for a place to stay for 4 months while I finish my degree at QUT. I am a clean and tidy person, and would appreciate living with people who are the same :-) When I’m not studying I like to hang out with friends, and explore new places around the city.
Full time software engineer at uq. I cycle to work everyday and enjoy being social, rock climbing, eating way too much, and board games. Fairly quiet and often away traveling. Will fix computers and buttons/hems and clean bathrooms/toilets. I'm looking for friendly housemates, a covered car park, a large room with a mirrored built in and good access to bikeways/shared zones. Will pay a little more for somewhere that has all of this.
