I'm 24-year-old girl from Finland and willing to stay in Brisbane six months. My job is to sell eyeglasses in an optical shop. I'm great to live with because am not only tidy, quiet and reliable but also funny, cute and small. On free time I like to go for run, socialize and go out for couple of drinks.
Clean and tidy, I have a clean as you go mentality. When sharing you need to be respectful of others. I enjoy hanging out with my housemates, and hope to find a place where you're not just people I share a house with but friends I share a home with. I do however spend a bit of time in my room and keep to myself so I'm not going to be in your face but happy to do dinners together (I can't cook, be prepared to eat raw unflavoured food, I apologise in advance) or casual drinks at home on the weekend. I'm a first year, first sem accounting student at QUT. I also have a border collie puppy so we need a pet friendly share house with a large fenced backyard (preferably tall fencing, as I think she's going to be an escape artist). Mia is currently 3 months old, she's a clever little monkey and wins everyone's hearts. It would actually be fantastic if there was another dog to share with too. A bit more about me... I'm Irish Filipino, grew up in PNG but have been in Brisbane for 18 years so technically I really grew up here! I go to the gym several times a week, I have been recovering from a few injuries lately so it's kept me at home. I'm the type of person that will push myself at the gym but later go home and eat an entire pizza.. I have no will power. If you eat clean, please show me your ways lol I'm single...I don't want to live with couples or single 40+year old men, nor families. Just like-minded people my age that are dog friendly would be amazing :)
y name is Bessie, I am 18, seeking some long term accomodation as I am just moving to the coast from Toowoomba. I am responsible, respectful and am very tidy. I am always happy to help around the house and am very good to get along with.
Cheerful german biochemistry student, coming to Brisbane to do my master thesis at Griffith University. Clean, tidy and sociable. I enjoy all kinds of sports as well as good meals and conversations over a beer or two. I am looking for a nice and tidy place with roomates to talk to, cook with and possibly explore the city with, but also with the possibility to close my door at times if the thesis does get stressful. Preferably looking for a furnitured place.
Hi, I am looking for a place to live. I work full time though the week as an engineer and like to relax and take it easy on the weekends/evenings. I am easy going, tidy and a non smoker. I am happy to share cups of tea, meals and chats, while respecting each others privacy. I'm also happy to chip in with the house work. Please feel free to send me a message if you would like to know more. Thanks Zhenya
I am a student from Melbourne moving to Brisbane for an internship in the city for three weeks. I am easy going, relaxed and am always up for a chat. I'm looking forward to getting some sunshine up in Brisbane :) I would need a room that is furnished, as I am only staying for a short term.
Hello, we are a friendly and matured couple from Japan and Norway (29 - 31 years old). Since one of us will be graduating at the end of this year, we are looking for a clean and quiet place to live in a long term due to the expiry of current student accommodation contract. One of us is doing a first-year PhD and another is aiming to have a full-time job in Brisbane after graduation (will be applying for a TR visa). If we could rent two separate bedrooms at the same property, or a large ensuite master room where has direct bus access to the Griffith University Nathan campus, it would be ideal for us :)
*Currently I am overseas so sending an email or messaging me through flatmate is a better option for contacting me until 2nd of November. I am a full time PhD student and a sessional academic at QUT. I am well organized and clean at home. I am super respectful to my flatmates and their stuff. Though, I expect the same level of respect from my flatmate(s). I like watching movies, reading books and drinking coffee whenever I am home. I love cooking real food If I am not super tired after work and I like sharing it with others. I don't smoke, I don't crank up the volume, I am not constantly on phone or skype talking to someone for 7/24, I don't leave nasty dishes or crumbles around. I know this listing sounds like it has been written by a grumpy old person though I think it might give you a better idea about who you are going to live with. Cheers!
I'm a energetic self employed, creative arts/ singer, clothes designer & musician. My personality is vibrant, fun, I'm happy, easy going, and a eco friendly 28 year old woman. I'm looking for a room for rent with like minded creative happy vibe flatmates in West End, Brisbane Qld 4101, or Highgate Hill, Brisbane, Qld 4101. South Brisbane, Brisbane, Qld 4101. Thanks, Natalie.
Hi All, My name is Shaun and i've just come back from my last adventure overseas. I've decided to pack up my stuff and move to a new state and see what Brisbane has to offer. Firstly don't be scared by the fact I'm unemployed as I've quit my job to move. I'm extremely motivated and won't take long to find a job. And on top of that I have savings so I won't struggle to pay the rent in the meantime. I'm not looking to live in a large share house as I've done that before in London and it's not my thing! My first profession is a qualified chef and the second being a thermit welder in the rail industry. Travel is my biggest passion having been to 5 continents and 37 countries so far. I love everything outdoors from hiking, camping, road cycling, running and so much more. Ideally I'd like my budget to be an all in price but always flexible for the right place and right housemates. As I'm driving up from Tasmania I'll have my car. So a place with Parking available is a big thing I need. If you feel like i could be your next friend and flat mate i look forward to hearing from you :)
Easy going, clean professional. Looking for a spacious room & home where I can relax & unwind after work & on the weekends. I work Monday- Friday & often go to gym after work. On the weekends I'm usually socialising with friends and doing my own thing.
Hey! My name is Sebastian and I recently graduated from an undergrad degree which I was doing on the Gold Coast. I will be back in Australia on the first week of February for my masters coursework and I am looking for a room or a teamup for a new property in Brisbane. Will probably be working part-time as well. I love have people around me to do activities with, but also enjoy having my private space to relax so as a roommate I would be up for house meals and trips as well as just relaxing home. I love being outdoors, specially on the beach and in the water. If not you will find me playing volleyball! I'm clean and will look after myself and the place as well. I have no problem getting along with people, enjoy talking to anyone. Let me know if you have a place I could take up in your property or if you would like to start a teamup!
I'm clean, respectful, financially stable, social and organised. I like to keep things tidy and well presented so I can feel comfortable and relaxed in the space I am living. I work full time in Spring Hill as a Senior Property Valuer. I like to cook, make music and make coffee. I will be heading back to the Sunshine Coast every second weekend to see friends and family and to play golf so I wont be home all the time. I would love to meet you!
27 year-old journalism student at UQ searching for housemates around my age to live with who are fun, independent and socially like-minded. Although working, I'm always up for being social on weekends. I like to run, head on toadtrips out bush, great at cooking, currently do surf lifesaving on the Gold Coast, takes dance classes and despite being well-travelled to places like the US - have amazing stories to tell. Look forward to hearing from you!
We're a friendly and outgoing couple but also like our times of solitude as well. Both of us will be studying at UQ (business and medicine) so we'll be at the library quite a lot over the semesters. We like to keep our surroundings tidy and are happy to hang out with our fellow housemates for movies nights, dinners etc. Hoping to find and move into a place by the end of January 2017. Based on feedback, the budgeted rental price is our combined maximum not including bills.
Easy going couple looking to share a home with like minded professional(s) working full time. We are in early 30's. We lead an active lifestyle, love socialising and keep fit. Working week is pretty standard - work, gym, dinner, an occasional glass of vino and on weekends we love to hit the water, catch up with mates and go crazy every now and again :) If you would like to know any more feel free to shoot us a msg. Aggie & Damo
Hi I'm Zali :) I'm currently living in Victoria and looking to re-locate to the Gold Coast or Brisbane due to a work transfer. I have a 2 yr old German Shepherd, Benji, whom I adore. I work Monday - Friday for the Department of Human Services. I'm easy going and tidy. Please message me if you think you may have suitable accomodation!
I have just moved back to Brisbane from the NT. A QUT graduate I work in IT. I am friendly and easy going and hoping to find flatmates who I can call mates :)
I'm a current QUT Business student and looking for a next place to stay. I expect there would be free parking (on street ok) and it is pet friendly (wood floor will be perfect). Kangaroo Point probably can be my best choice of location! Contact me if you have place which is available from June 2017;)
Just relocated from Melbourne, looking for a chilled out house that enjoys socialising with each other but also understands personal space! I work 9-6 Mon - Fri in the CBD and am trying to get back into my fitness!
**I'm looking at places that are available in December so please do not message me otherwise** I'm a UQ law graduate who is working full-time. I am easygoing and enjoy some chats from time to time. As I have a busy lifestyle, I prefer time to myself to relax after work. I care a lot about maintaining a quiet household and environment. I prefer a place with more storage space, preferably a large inbuilt cupboard in my room. I also prefer for the room to be on the ground floor. I play the piano, paint and publish poems occasionally. I used to be a competitive judo player and join trainings in UQ occasionally. Other times, I enjoy yoga and a bit of stretching. I love cats but do not own one. I'm quite allergic so I prefer a place that is quite clean and free from dust. Wrt household chores, I clean as I go. I've lived with housemates who are extremely clean and I adapt well to people with different habits, so long as they are responsible and generally clean. My move-in date is flexible. I prefer to find a stable and long-term accommodation. I'd like to have rental agreements and inspections done according to RTA standards - bond to be lodged with the RTA, inspection checklist to be done upon moving in, etc.
Hey, I'm Matt. I will be moving back to Brisbane from the Sunny Coast. Ideally would like to be pretty central to the city, close to public transport and a supermarket. Milton/Paddington/West End area would be ideal. Somewhere I can go for a run or a ride, like the bikeway along Coro Drive. A 6 month lease or more would be great. I will be working full-time. I am very easy going, friendly and trustworthy. I'm not much for partying anymore, just the occasional beer after work and weekends. I'm not someone who will be having people over all the time, being loud and annoying you. I tend to just do my own thing and know to respect each others space. I like too cook and am reasonably tidy but not a clean freak. Someone trustworthy and similar to this would be great. I pretty much only have a my bedroom furniture, and some kitchen basics, so would be looking for someone who has the main stuff like fridge, washing machine, loungroom furniture, etc. Any questions/ideas, feel free to message me, thanks.
Half British half French I'm very open (British side) and I'm a great cook (French side)!
I'm a 29 year old engineering professional with a passion for fitness and the outdoors. I'm usually not home much on weekdays, as I work long hours then go to the gym. On weekends I like to relax and socialize, or maybe get out of the city. I prefer a clean modern and simple house. Must have off street parking
Hi there, I'm currently studying fashion design at TAFE until the start of December than ill be hopefully going onto study my degree early February. My hobbies and interest include things like figure skating, drawing, reading. I'm looking for a place to move to around January in the Brisbane area. Place must include all bills, including Internet due to youth allowance budget. Must be close to public transport (bus stop to town, train or even close walk to town/city) I prefer a 1 bedroom flat/ grannyflat. I also have a partner who comes to visit most weekends.
Hi potential housies, Im a 27 yo female with an extremely intelligent, well trained, socialised, neutered and vaccinated 5.5 yo kelpie (Onyx). I've just relocated to Brisbane and I'm basically looking for a relaxed, clean and respectful sharehouse near the city. I'm not employed at the moment but I have been saving up for the move and can pay bond and rent months in advance if necessary. I can also provide rental history with glowing landlord references for both me and Onyx. I have a Bachelor of Science and a wealth of experience in hospitality and events management so I'm on the mission to get a job asap. Onyx and I have lived in many, many share houses and we are very well versed in house contribution, cleanliness, responsibilities and etiquette. I’m a non-invasive, non-smoking, self-cleaning, sober, health-driven, environmentally conscious, conversationally minded, early riser with a strong immunity to boredom, a need for compassionate empathetic individuals who value honesty and privacy and I have a massive dislike of ego's. Onyx is well travelled, with experience as a caravan park dog, a yacht dog, a hitchhiking dog, a hostel dog and a campervan dog. He's also worked in schools and nursing homes as a Emotional Support Animal and has been a staple feature of many festival work sites and circus/carnival travel routes. He’s a little legend, who pretty much goes wherever I go. Thanks for taking the time to read this :) I''m flexible on suburbs, don't get caught on the ones I've listed. If there's anything I missed, let me know!
My name is Megan, I am 20 years old and I am studying nursing full time. I just finished my first year and will be starting my second in a few months. Currently looking for part time work over the summer. I do however volunteer with the ambos/paramedics occasionally on weekends. I'm a non smoker and have no pets.
Hi I am a french Canadian girl on a working holiday visa and I am planning on finding a job in Brisbane! Therefore, I am looking for a private room, somewhere near the CBD. If possible, I would be interested in staying in a complex including facilities like laundry, pool and gym. Although I will consider any flat or sharehouse without those features as well. I am a very respectful, clean and reliable person. Feel free to contact me if you think you might have the room I am looking for :) * Please note that I have no access to early bird.
My name is Tahg, it's a weird name but a handy ice breaker whenever I meet someone. About me: Generally quiet through the week as I work full-time and tend to get up at 5am most days for rock climbing/gym before heading to work. In the evenings I can be found playing PS4, catching up on tv shows or chilling around the house. On the weekend I like to make the most of it so enjoy hiking, diving, beach, mountain biking or a gig on the odd weekend. I'm clean, considerate of my consumption and peoples' space and hate chasing up money so always pay my bills and rent on time. What I'm looking for: I work in the CBD and ride my bike each day, plus I climb/gym at Urban in West End so want to stay reasonably close to those areas. I'm a bit over the party house life as well so ideally would like to live with no more than 2 other people (3 bedroom max.). Preference to have my own bathroom but happy to share with clean and tidy people who are happy to contribute to communal items. I have a bit of stuff as well so a medium-large room is required. Happy to team up with anyone to find a place as well; I have a lot of stuff. Move date is flexible.
I am a 20 year old queer girl currently living in Bundaberg. I recently completed my first year of study and am looking to relocate. My roommate needs to move out and I can't afford the rent on my own. I like to watch movies and play games, listen to music and read. I keep mostly to myself but also enjoy some casual company. I can keep myself tidy, but if I get lax in chores, a gentle nudge is all I need - I am rather forgetful.
Hey, I'm Kai! I'm a 22 y.o. from Singapore who is going to study in QUT for 2+ years in 2017 and so I am searching for a place to call home in Brisbane. :) I have done an okay amount of traveling, mostly by myself staying in hostels and so I have no problems with socialising and sharing (although I'm looking for a room all to myself). I am a responsible, clean and tidy individual so you don't have to worry about dishes left in the sink uncleaned or toothpaste smeared on the basin. I'm friendly, open and laid-back so I'm easy to make friends with and hangout. :) Sometimes I like to have a fun night out and sometimes I like to have a quiet evening by myself. I will respect your personal space and hope you do the same for me as well! I like the outdoorsy stuff especially surfing (I'm a beginner and am hoping to surf more!); video games are also my thing and I love hanging out with friends in town in malls, in bars, etc. So dear future roommate(s), I look forward to meeting you!
Hi! I am a Canadian here on a working holiday visa. Just got out of a relationship so looking to meet new people. I will be working full time Monday to Friday in South Brisbane so I prefer to be near there. During the week I tend to keep to myself but I love adventures on the weekends like going to the beach or to a bar but I also like to stay in and hangout with the fam. Looking for some cool, friendly and fun new roommates :)
I am clean, respectful and friendly. Due to start a degree in Medical Laboratory Science at QUT in 2017 and I would like to find a place where I can study but get along with other housemates. I am very laid back and wouldnt mind if there were parties, as long as I can have my space when needed. Would prefer to live with people close to my age who are open minded and easy going but also responsible.
hey, you guys can call me kid. i'll be moving to brisbane next year to study at UQ. i'm a fun and tidy guy. i'll be staying for at least 6 months but i might extend depending on the situation. i'm either busy with school or gaming at home during the day but i like to go out to meet new people and have fun at night. But i'm not much of a party goer.
Looking to relocate either between NSW / Sydney or Brisbane or Gold Coast or Melbourne Formally worked at Crown Casino, in food and beverage, and will be finding work once I settle in.. Bubbly, tidy person.. (Bit of OCD in that department) Reliable and understand privacy when needy, but generally keep to myself. Bit of a gamer and movie freak, so that's pretty much me. Would love to chat more, if you have a place suitable for myself, I'd prefer furnished and around $200 / $300 a week) Bills preferred! Thank you.
Hey everybody, I am Lucrezia I'm 17 and I'm actually studying here in Brisbane city since few months. I will frequent the last year of school next year and I'm planning to return in Australia to do that, after coming back to my country,Italy, in December. I really enjoyed the Aussie lifestyle and my course of studies here. I study economics, accounting, law and history, and I hope to take an economics uni course here in Australia for a while. My stay here has been incredible and I met amazing people on my way that completely changed my life, and I hope that so did I. I believe in sharing, good friendships and kindness between every relation and in treating each other with the maximum respect. Besides that, I'm a lot of fun and im very easy to get along with and to build a good friendship with, that I hope will last further my stay! I have great cooking skills and, yes, I make a fantastic pizza and I'm always up to throw a pizza party for everyone who wants it. I am very sportive and pretty much into discovering new places and camping whenever there is the chance! If I find an accommodation for my plan to return here next year, the dates would be from the end of January 2017 to the end of November 2017. Hit me up if you want to know more about me and if you're interest have me as flat mate!
Hi! I am a recent graduate from QUT looking to start my masters within the year. I work 20-40 hours per week at Westfield Chermside and I'm always either there, on set on productions, at an internship, or in my room writing or watching Netflix (which I have a subscription to and could share with flatmates). I am quiet, I only cook if I know I can clean everything up straight after, and I have a boyfriend of 3 years (so no bringing strangers home!). I currently live on the Sunshine Coast and the commute is killing me. My boyfriend and I would also like to trial living together so it would be great if he could either move in too or if he'd be welcome 2-3 nights per week. He's a great vegan cook, very very clean, and a fantastic singer and guitarist in a touring band (so he can either serenade you over his famous burrito bowls or make himself scarce quite often when the band is travelling Australia and overseas). I am always up for a sneaky vino after work/internship/production and have great respect for everyone which I base on open communication and kindness.
Hello! I am a US citizen, but I will be moving to Brisbane in January to attend UQ graduate school. I want to live close to the campus, and I also plan on working part time. I am very clean, I like to have fun, and I am very friendly.
Brazilian singer, songwriter, musician and exchange student. I'll be arriving in Brisbane in February, to study English for 6 months in ILSC school and work. I am very organized, very fun, sociable and respect the space of all. Of course, like a good barbecue, cold beer, music and good friends.
Hi there! I'm Kaydee and I'm a full time uni student from Far North Queensland, studying a Bachelor of Film! (So you know I'll be great to watch movies with!). I'm fun and always enthusiastic, I love new adventures and I am always keen to spend a day out with my house mates! I'm also mature and organised, meaning I am able to help out around the house and do my share of housework. I'm not a huge party animal, but I would love to be able to have a few drinks on a Friday night with my house mates too! :) I would be looking to move in around Mid January too, dates can be completely changed depending on what suits you better! I look forward to hearing from you :D
