Hi, we're an Aussie/Irish couple in our mid-20's looking for a room in inner Melbourne. We're tidy, easy-going and sociable... hoping to find somewhere friendly where we can hang out in the living room, watch TV, share a drink and play the odd board/card game. Michael is studying Masters and working as an accountant, Hannah has just finished uni and is doing a bit of work/study before a backpacking trip in a few months. Pop us a message if it sounds like a good fit!
I am a friendly, easy-going, fun and empathetic person who loves nature and animals (I am not bringing pet). I am a clean, tidy and organized person. Besides, I love coffee, listen to all kinds of music and going to the gym to maintain a healthy lifestyles. I am open to different kinds of opinions and multicultural perspectives. Besides, I respect other people concerns and privacy. I like to offer help to people in need. I am going to study a Master Degree in Development Studies at the University of Melbourne in early January, 2017. Prior to undertaking this Master Degree, I worked at The Asia Foundation in Cambodia as a Program Officer managing Mobile for Tech for Women Empowerment Program. I will be studying in Melbourne for a year and return back to my home country - Cambodia.
Not a convicted felon. Looking for peeps who want to share a house not an apartment. I have a kelpie who lives with family that I would love to have sleep over once in a while, but this is not a must. I work full time and try to get out of Melbourne every couple weekends..
Hi My name is Rebecca and I am looking for a home to move to ASAP. Ideally I would like a large room with BIR/wardrobes that can fit more than my queen bed :D. I was living with my best friend who moved overseas and have my own furniture so an unfurnished room would be ideal. I don't smoke and only drink occasionally at social events. I’m quiet but up for a chat or occassional movie. I'm clean and have lived in share houses both in Oz and overseas so am aware of the living standards in sharing/respecting spaces. I enjoy cooking and exploring events around Melbourne (Theatre buff :D). I'm looking for somewhere to call home and housemates to hopefully call friends :D Thanks heaps Rebecca (Reb)
Hey guys :) Just broke up with my boyfriend of three years but we are currently living together. I have everything! Plasma tv, couches, washing machine, fridge the lot. Work as a bartender and studying full-time to work in emergency relief in developing countries. Love having a cheeky bev, cooking great food. I'm super laid back. 'Your vibe attracts your tribe!' Haha. Sling me a message if you are keen for a chat.
Hi, I'm Marcel! Brazilian, Master's student currently based in the Netherlands and going for a 6-month research internship in Melbourne. I consider myself organized, easy going and very open-minded (hard to avoid clichés here, right?). I love cooking, hiking, and getting to know new people, languages and cultures. My weeks are going to be very busy, but I would love to spend some time with my future roommates during weekends. Feel free to contact me if you have a room to offer or if you just want to team up to find a place to share :)
Hello mates!! I'm Alberto and I'm from Italy. My hobby is do a lot of sport, visit new places, drink wine and beer, meet new people, watch the film, swimming in the ocean, run in bicycle. I'm quiet and happy person, I have a lot patience and I really want to learn surf! I'm search of a private furnished room, No share room! See you soon!
I'm a student at Unimelb. I'm clean, tidy and easy-going person and respectful of other's space. Will be glad to grab a beer and hangout or binge watch or play games in the console when not working. Feel free to shoot any questions if you'd like to know more about me.
Hi, My name is Paola, I'm 26 and I'm a kindergarten teacher and after school care educator. I've been renting with other people for the past eight years. I'm very reliable paying rent and bills. I'm neat and tidy and enjoy keeping the place clean. I'm looking for a single room in a shared house where I can share a meal or a drink with my housemates as well as have my own privacy and quiet time. I rely on the public transport system so I am looking for a place near a train station or tram line. Feel free to message me if you think you have a place to suit my needs.
23 year old from QLD moving to Melbourne for grad school. I am looking for some fun, friendly people to move in with. I value cleanliness and I can cook - I would really like to find people who are sociable and enjoy chatting / activities with flatmates balanced with doing your own thing. Hobbies include travelling, learning languages, cooking, outdoor activities and exploring new places. Bonus points if you have pets I can cuddle, but it's not a deal breaker! I have lived out of home (including overseas) since I finished school so I am definitely house-share trained, and I can provide four years of proof of paying rent reliably. Ideally I am looking for a place where I can have my own space/privacy but also flatmates who I can chat to and become friends with too (moving away from all my friends and family). I can sign on to a lease any time from late November but I probably wouldn't physically move until after Christmas. Just message me if you have any questions :)
Hi I'm currently looking for a room in a house or apartment near Kent street, Ascot Vale for 1 month only. Ideally if someone has an extra or guest room in their house nearby, we can work out some payment. About tenants - I'm a quite, mature and well educated person in 30s. Doing PhD at university of Melbourne. I have been living in Ascot vale for quite some time now, it's just I need this extra room for short term now.
Hi! I am originally from Cambridge (UK) but have lived in Canberra for the past 10 years. I moved to Melbourne to start my PhD at the start of this year. I work regular hours for my PhD from 9-5 every weekday, but sometimes over that if there's a deadline. I'm always quiet at night and am almost never home late! I'm also a very tidy and clean person, and I'm very considerate of others' needs. I also cook all of my own meals, but I cook and tidy quickly so that the kitchen is ready for the next person. I am coeliac (cannot tolerate gluten) and vegetarian, so if you are either of those things you won't have to worry about flour or meat in the kitchen! I also don't smoke, and hardly drink. I am an LGBT+ ally. I occasionally travel to conferences to Canberra to see my family, so sometimes I will not be home at all for a few days. I'm a very outdoors person, I spend my spare time reading, walking, running or cycling outdoors. I also climb both indoors and traditionally on cliffs. I'm always keen to join others for these activities! I love good music (though I will always wear headphones if others are about), Netflix, and the gym. I am looking to move in to a new place from my current flat at the start of December.
Hello, i am from Lithuania and moving to study and work in Melbourne. I am easy going, clean and tidy. Like running and doing sports, don't smoke and drink alcohol very rarely, love animals, even though don't have any. Looking for calm and nice place to live in which i could call home.
Hi everyone, I'm Amy :) My current lease has come to an end so I am looking for a new place to stay. I moved to Melbourne from Perth at the beginning of this year for my post-grad studies. I'm very easy going and like social activities every now and then but also love my quiet time. Importantly, I'll always do my part to keep the place clean and tidy!
21, law and finance uni student, work a lot, clean and keeps to herself.
My name is Matty and I work as both a professional drummer and as a scientist. I am looking to move into an existing share house, or to start a new one with a garage for my music gear and practice. Being a professional drummer that is chasing a goal of being largely successful I am in need a garage (ideally unattached from the house) to accommodate my practice. I Only practice until approximately 9pm of an evening (I get home from work at 6) and I don't ever start before midday on the weekends, keeping in mind too that I regularly have rehearsals and gigs and things so it doesn't happen at full volume every day but as regularly as I can fit it in which ends up being about 3 times per week - so not really much at all. Personality wise I am, friendly, approachable, confident, logical, dedicated and love meeting new people and being social (when I have time for it). I have lived in several share houses over the last 8 years and have no problem adapting to new environments and personalities. I love a good chat and I love people. I am an avid musician and get into the footy a little bit (I grew up in the country, I'm sorry :P ). I also try to hit up the gym a few times a week. I'm clean and very much want the people I live with to be clean and tidy.. my room is usually out of control, but everywhere else in the house is always tidy and clean. As I mentioned, I am very much working towards developing a successful musical career, so moving into a place that I can set my drumming up in a garage is on the top of my priority list, followed immediately by having awesome housemates! Ideally it would be great to have housemates that can I get along well enough with to have a beer and go out for a meal but that also have their own independent lives going on. Between working full-time, rehearsing, touring and performing, I go between being home most nights to being out or away for (seemingly) weeks at a time. I have "done my time" so to speak, in uni party houses and have outgrown such living circumstances, thus, I am clean and tidy and respectful of the need to keep the place that way. This doesn't mean I don't love a party, which I do, but, am just looking for reasonable common sense/courteous type people, and also having a kitchen that I am not afraid to cook in! Also - I will be overseas in Central America and California from late September until early November - thus, I'm looking for somewhere to move in the first 2 weeks of November for at least 1 year.
British who's been offered a sponsorship through work. I lived in St Kilda East for 10 months and feel like giving north side a go. Looking for a fully furnished flat in either Brunswick, Ascot Vale, North Melbourne, Flemington, Clifton hill or nearby suburbs. Though South Yarra and Prahran is tempting me back Southside. I'm a very sociable person and enjoy going out and meeting new people. I also love a night in and work office hours so tend to go out on the weekend and chill more during the week. I'd also love to find somewhere within walking distance of a train station for the morning commute. I'm a massive foodie so love to cook and go out to restaurants. I also enjoy going to bars, festivals, shopping, good films and books, holidays, travelling and a night in with wine and a cheese board 😁 I'm a very clean and tidy person so preferably would like to live with someone similar as I hate a messy house! I can also be a pretty quiet housemate and I'm very respectful of other people and their space. I'm a massive animal lover though don't own any pets.
I'm a science student at Melbourne Uni with a job in hospitality, and more of a geek than anything else. I love movies, particularly horror, and go to the cinema whenever I can. I'm much more of a listener than a talker, but I love being part of a good conversation and if I get a few beers in me, I'll happily babble about pretty much anything until the sun comes up! I love going out to try new food places when I can afford it and I like to try to cook, though not very well (it's a work in progress)... I also like to read a lot, and love games - video games, card games, board games, you name it and I'll probably like it. I consider myself a very curious person, so I'm always up for learning or trying new things. I'm no clean freak, especially when it comes to my own space (a busy desk is a busy mind!), but I like to try to keep common areas as clean as I can. I'm Australian, but I've spent 5 years living abroad in this is my first year back in Melbourne.
I work as a QC chemist in Parkville. I am clean and tidy and love baking and cooking. I am usually watching youtube or netflix, reading, or surfing the net (usually internet shopping) and catching up with friends in my spare time. I'm looking for either an existing sharehouse with one or two other people, or another person to find a place with. My budget can stretch to 230 pw. I'm in no rush to move. I'm looking to move by the end of the year, but can't really move until mid-November.
Hi! I'm Miri, I'm 21 and currently studying Photography at RMIT and working part time in the city. I'm a regular gig goer, taking my camera along taking snaps and vids, op-shopping and market hunting for vintage gems and some good ol' chats over a glass of red! Looking for a house that is social, happy and easy going environment, but also being aware of the occasional study cram before exams and housemates being considerate of this time. Thanks! :)
I'm quite easy-going and polite; I enjoy going out with the company of friends for a meal and drinks, yet rugged up on the sofa watching a movie is equally as enjoyable sometimes. I'm generally an upbeat, cheerful person, and I simply just enjoy learning - whether that be about other's views, alternative cultures or a wonderful cafė for Sunday morning brunch! Whilst unemployed at the moment (having only arrived back to Melbourne quite recently) I am looking to carry on work within the international and/or community development field. I'm very independent and I generally keep to myself, yet I'm always up for a chat, that's for sure! I'm hoping to live with another/others who share these traits too, age is not a concern but ideally I am hoping to share with 25-35y.o. I'm simply looking to become part of a social, friendly and honest household! Not looking for a party house!
Hi ! I'm from France and I am studying at the university of Melbourne. I'm looking for a place to finish my semester (December). I won't be in Melbourne in January and February but if I can find someone to replace me for this period, I'm looking for place until July.
I am middle aged and a professional. working in Melbourne CBD. I have been helping out friends by house sitting their places while they were away for the last few months (and taking the opportunity to save some money). Before that I rented the same apartment for 8 years so I have a stable rental history. I want to settle down again and am hoping for somewhere accessible to the CBD via public transport.
Hi I'm Christina, I will shortly be moving from Canberra to Melbourne to start a new full time job as a Research Assistant at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. About me, I am social and enjoy social sports and music. I have lived in a number of share houses and enjoy chit chat and the odd drink, but am respectful of others privacy. If you want to know anything else, just contact me. Cheers
I´m 26 years old Venezuelan guy currently living in Maribyrnong. I am looking for a place closer to the city. I´m currently working at the Qt Hotel as a bartender and I consider myself as a clean , tidy, relaxed ,reliable, easy-going person and I am always open to have a chat. I enjoy having a chat, drawing pictures, listening to music, occasionally binge watching TV series, the odd beer or wine, going to gigs and having a good walk. I play guitar and drums. I like reading graphic novels. I run a small web and graphic design business working from a desk in the Nicholas building on Flinders ln. I'm neat, friendly, responsible. I'm a vegetarian and like to keep active a couple of times a week. If all that is not enough, here is a recent review from Laurel, an Air BnB host I stayed with recently: "Ben was a wonderful guest--more like him please! He was quiet, curious, respectful, and a good communicator. He's interesting to chat with, and it's always a pleasure to have visitors from afar staying with us! He's welcome back anytime."
Hi! I'm Chihiro. I'm an international student who intends to live in Melbourne for 5-6 months or more. I consider myself to be a tidy, responsible person who you will have a fun to live with. Hi we are Rachael and Shannon (intern psychologist and a site manager). We would like to team up with someone to find a 3 bedroom home that we will fully furnish and rent out the 2nd room to you. We would like to leave our 3rd room as a spare/office. Our preferred budget is $450 up to $500 max. So your room may cost anywhere between $200-250. And we would like for you to help us in the searching & application process so that we can all move in at the same time. Will will first apply for a 6 month lease in case we are not happy with the house or area. But the idea is for it to be long term for us & hopefully you! Rachael is a psychology intern and works long days 4 days per week. Shannon is often out of town every second weekend. We lead a fairly busy lifestyle between work, gym and our family/friends living out of town. We are a respectful, friendly, easy going couple who pride ourselves in being neat and tidy & never a hastle to live with. We enjoy going to gym, markets, cafes, the occasional night out or just relaxing. We are looking for someone who can have a chat, a laugh & share the occasional catch up when we are all in the home. And importantly to Rachael a housemate who will keep the shared areas in the home clean, neat & tidy. Importantly to Shannon who works long hours someone who is considerate and respectful of others when it comes to noise levels. We will be looking for a 3 bedroom, preferably 2 bathroom home with a double lock up garage (but that will be for Shannon & my cars only sorry). If you think you would like to team up to find a place with us please send a message!

Hey there! I'm looking to move closer to the city for my univeristy course and work. I'm after a environment that is pretty chilled and peaceful with easy going and friendly people. I've had heaps of experience living out of home as I've moved out at a young age. Keeping things neat and tidy is important to me. I definitely respect other people's privacy and space as I would expect the same but I also do enjoy socialising aswell. I love being productive, getting things done and that feeling of accomplishment so when I'm not emersed in university work, I'm either at work, at the gym, or working on my creative projects. For fun, I like to explore new places, try new food, go out with friends or just simply engage in my hobbies. So yeah, basically I'm always pretty much busy haha so you'll hardly find me at home although when I'm at home, I want it to feel like one, so I value an environment that is relaxed and harmonious and down to earth. Anyway, not going to write too much about me, if you want to know more, just give me a message, thank you!
Im originally from Macedon, and I work full time in hospitality, as a venue manager. I won't be home all that often but I'm a pretty happy go lucky guy. I don't have pets but don't mind if you do, have recently been house sitting with a friendly cat. I enjoy photography in my spare time or just catching up with friends and family. Cheers
Hey! I'm Alex and I work a full time schedule in industrial services. Love my down time going out for drinks/food with friends but also enjoy kicking back with a movie and occasional cook up. Enjoy going to gym and keeping active and always down for a laugh and chat, but also understand the needs of giving people space at times, likewise myself. I like to keep a clean and tidy place and never have issues with paying my bills on time. If there's anything else you would like to know just ask! :)
I travel a lot for my work. I'm laid back - polite, private but do love people too. I enjoy living with people who like to keep their living areas fairly tidy. I'm working full time. I'm looking to live somewhere warm, somewhere nice & somewhere with a shower with awesome pressure! :-)
I am 33 years old, working full time Monday to Friday as a manager in a pharmacy. I am easy going, fun, and very respectful as a housemate. I am clean and tidy and like a quiet home and hope to find someone like minded to live with! I am always up for a chat and a glass of wine from time to time whilst sitting watching tv :) On my spare time i like to discover new places to eat/drink and hang out with my friends. But also like time to just chill at home and bake! I am healthy and fairly fit ;) and looking for a considerate housemate and a place to call home :) Females only please!
Hello! I'm a 30 year old full-time professional working the 9-5 in the city. I'm new to Melbourne, used to live overseas and also in Perth and Adelaide. I live my life by 3 simple words: Make it count! When not at work, I love to travel and be outside exploring the outdoors. Weeknights you'll probably find me at the climbing gym or out exercising. And weekends likely somewhere hiking, climbing or camping but occasionally I like to indulge in a long Sunday sleep in, check out a nice cafe for brunch and go to the movies. With my housemates I'm always happy to have a meal or drink together, or just hang out at home with a good movie/tv marathon. I don't smoke, don't party (those days are behind me) and am always mindful of others' space and privacy.. so i'm looking for housemates who are similar in these respects and enjoy returning to a quiet, drama-free home. I love animals too and certainly won't mind if you have a cat or dog .... as long as they love cuddles and don't chew on my shoes!
Professional manager.. Easy going, good sense of humour, open minded with a touch of old school ,I like music, a good laugh and a glass of wine, I can cook and keep a house clean. Respectful of others and so on.... This is a bit like online dating 😂
Hey I'm Robyn! I'm chilled out, easy going and always up for a laugh! I'm 27, currently living in England where I'm from and planning to move out to Melbourne just after Christmas this year. I will be doing a years working holiday and plan to work full time so will initially be looking for somewhere to rent for at least 6 months starting in the first few weeks of January 2017. My friends would describe me as crazy, ditsy, sassy, caring and funny! I'm always up for fun and trying new things. About me: I love dancing and going to the gym! I work in Sales so it's pretty high pressure and long hours but when I'm not working I'm usually doing either of those things or taking pictures of my food for Instagram because we can't eat food these days without posting pictures of it right?! I love going out to eat and exploring new places! I do enjoy going out for casual drinks or partying, however it would seem although I occasionally party like a rockstar I can no longer recover like one, so just enjoy social drinks with friends! I enjoy living a healthy and active lifestyle going to dance classes and sometimes yoga. I also love discovering new music and going to gigs/live events. I get on with pretty much anyone in any situation and have a lot of banter which is mostly sarcastic. Future Housemates: I'm happy to live with guys or girls; just easy going people I can get along with. I'm moving to the other side of the world on my own so it would be great if said housemate(s) were liked minded people and up for exploring and discovering new things/places together :) I am used to living away from home and have previously lived in a house with 6 girls for 2 years, as well as mixed guys and girls so I am good with housekeeping. I'm clean, enjoy cooking and socialising however respect people’s privacy. I came to Melbourne for 2 weeks at the start of this year and fell in love with it.. hence the move. I've only seen a small part of the city so will spend lots of my free time exploring so you're more than welcome to come along or be a tour guide. Oh also I'm obsessed with dogs...so if you happen to have one it’s a bonus for me and I will happily walk it!! If I sound someone you'd get along with and are looking to move in somewhere in January drop me a message. Feel free to contact me if you’re looking to buddy up and find a place or if you’re renting out a room etc :) p.s. I won't be in Melbourne until December 2016 Happy searching :)
Working holiday visa holder from LA. Work in hospitality and advertising. I'm a quiet, super clean, and respectable roomie, though I do like to socialize over a beer now and again. Enjoy travel, hiking, photography, sports, film, music, craft beer, wine, food, dessert, exercise, and discovering the best in every city I step foot in. Will Ferrell is my spirit animal.
We are a lovely couple from overseas. We are mature students (will be study PhD at the University of Melbourne), have no kid and don’t have any plan to have one soon. Mostly spend most of the daytime at the Uni and work part-time occasionally. We are looking for 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms in a shared flat/house, and looking for another couple to team up. As the budget suggests, we're looking a bit moderate to high standards accommodation and also a respectful couple to be shared with. We are easy-going and love to go out to explore the city with friends/flatmates. We enjoy travelling / watching films-tv / music / dinner with friends during the weekends. We are clean, tidy and organised, always clean after ourselves or even clean the share space.
My names Jacqui and I have another mate Dave, we're currently looking for some extra people to build a share house family. We're looking at houses in the North Melb, Footscray, Kensington, and Brunswick areas (and surrounding). Rent $200 or less each. We like to think that we're pretty chill people. We love a good chat, a fantasticly fun adventure or a bevy or 2. Dave is studying to become a paramedic and I'm a sea kayaking instructor. Dave also has an extremely loveable dog named Ollie who is an outside dog and an all round massive spud.

I'm a fun and considerate housemate. I've recently finished a job in country Vic working full-time for the last 10 years. I'm heading back to Melb for work and would love to team up with someone to find my feet. I'm great with cleaning and tricky stains are my speciality (so I'm told! haha) I love indoor plants and making a comfortable home everywhere I go. I enjoy cooking but am no masterchef - happy to jump in a give it a go!
I'm a fine art painter. Quite social enjoy a great convo and many laughs. I like being outdoors, hiking, concerts, spontaneous adventures. I'm clean and responsible, very courteous of others space :)
Hi, all. I'm Will. Looking to move to a suburb in Melbourne just outside of but with easy access to the city. Looking to live in Melbourne for about 6 months initially before I decide whether or not to stay long term. I'm reliable, laid back, clean, and quiet. I like to live and fairly relaxed lifestyle and don't take anything too seriously. Happy to have a chat and a laugh but also happy to keep to myself. Non smoker and not a big party guy although I don't mind having a drink. I enjoy cycling and rock climbing, at home I also enjoy reading and watching some tv. I'm self employed and always pay my bills promptly. Looking for a relaxed, clean place with a good sized room and my own bathroom. Although I'm flexible and would be happy to share a bathroom with another person. Looking forward to hearing from you, cheers, Will.

I enjoy going to the gym, socialising with friends and family and watching a good movie. Hi, We are Amy and Jay and we are looking to move into a house in Melbourne as soon as we get jobs (have already started applying). Hoping for the start of the new year but could be sooner, or might be later. Amy is a Scientist working full time and Jay is a Personal Banker working part time and studying Criminology/Psychology. Our family is made up of us and 2 adopted/retired greyhounds, Eva and Lacie, who like to sleep and go for walks (they sleep roughly 20 hours a day). We also have a ginger cat named Pete who likes to roam the streets. So we are looking for housemates who like animals! They will definitely like you! We like opp shopping and bargain hunting, going to the movies and catching a few gigs, heading out for dinner and a few drinks on weekends, vegetarian food and chilling at home. Unfortunately our party days are over but that doesn't stop us from trying occasionally! We are both neat and tidy, respectful housemates and we are looking for people who are LgbT friendly, who like animals and are also neat, tidy and respectful!

At the moment I am flatting in North Melbourne but sadly my lease is finished & can move in on the 6th of November. Hit me up if I sound ideal.

I'm a nice, clean easy going girl. Up for some good nights. Like to meet people and hang out but also really good in being alone. Like to play games, having drinks and have some fun together. 😎👯
