I'm looking for something long term as my current housemates are getting their own places. I'm very considerate of others and clean up very diligently, love to head to a good bar but also like to chill at home as well. Would love to find something awesome out there :)
Hi there, My name is Fabrizio, 31yo, architect. I'm a down to earth and open minded person. I work as interior architect and in hospitality too. I like hanging out with my friends, enjoy music and arts, play chess and surfing. I'm looking for a single room in a tidy and respectful house to live in. Hope to hear from you soon. Regards Fabrizio
Hi, I am Neshal, a 27 year old graduate student at the University of Melbourne. Currently I am staying about an hour away from uni. The commute is taking up a lot of my time and also stopping me from attending quite a few activities at the uni. So I am looking to move to a place closer to uni. ideally within 20 mins of the uni by bike. Move date would be sometime during the month long semester break which starts towards the end of June. With all that out of that way a little bit about me. I am respectful of other people's lifestyle choices and routines and like to be around others who are the same. I am quite relaxed and easy going. Covers my share of chores around the house. Non smoker. Likes to stop and have a chat with my flatmates. I have an inclination towards motorsports. But never one to shy away from involving in a sporting or social activity. If my mates are doing it, I'll be in the middle. Cooking is a hobby. If you don't mind tasting a random bunch of stuff thrown together as an experiment, usually quite edible, I am your guy. I have lost a lot of battles with baking but I am hoping to win the war someday.
I'm a first year student studying Psych and Criminology at University of Melbourne. I'm into video games, anime and TV shows and if i'm not doing any of those, i'm probably studying or sleeping. I'm also really into art (drawing and painting). I'm super easy going and I'm happy to hang out and have a chat or watch a movie every now and then. I can also speak Japanese (which is pretty cool imo). I'm currently living in a share house with 4 other people and I get along really well with my current housemates (i'm really sad to leave) but due to relationship problems, I need to move. Any suburb within a 20-30 minute tram/train ride from Uni/CBD would be fine for me. My max budget is about $170 - $180 with bills included. I dont own any pets, however I'd like to move into a pet friendly household as I was hoping to get a bird or 2 in the near future. I may have my 2 bffs or my parents visit me for a holiday, so I'd prefer housemates that are cool with that. Cheers
I'm an pretty neat, quiet Australian guy studying engineering on-line. I have a degree in applied science (chem), and experience as an electronics tech, and with computers, and can be a bit handy around the house. I enjoy a glass of wine, a chat, video/board/card games computer programming, and maybe a little bit of gardening. (Yes, I'm a bit of a nerd.) I'm fine with pets. Quitting smoking, smoking outside in the mean time. - Sam
I'm an accountant moving to Melbourne as a result of an internal transfer and am looking for an accommodation that I can call home and come back to relax and rewind. I'm clean and tidy, relatively simple and sometimes quiet but I won't say no to a good chat. I like to keep fit by regularly going to the gym and playing sports. I'm very interested in motorsports and often will go for a ride on my motorcycle. On this note I would prefer a place where I can securely park my motorcycle.
Clean, friendly and a pretty chilled out person. I am a recent graduate of the University of Melbourne, currently working full-time with the aim to go back to uni later this year. Interests include; sports, reading, and cooking.
I'm a student that's moving to Melbourne soon and looking for somewhere to stay. I'll be studying my JD at Melbourne Uni so am looking for somewhere close by or with good public transport options. I have lived in share houses before and am easy to get along with!
I am currently studying at Unimelb and also working part time. Besides being busy with the uni assignments I love to hang out once in a while and have a chit chat session over a glass of wine! Also, My friends say I am a great cook! :D Let me know if I sound like your perfect flatmate!
I'm a 20 years old international student just arrived in Melbourne from China. I'm staying in a YHA ATM and am keen to find a single room, preferably furnished about 10km from the city as I would like to commute to the CBD by bicycle. As a housemate, I do not smoke, drink or party excessively. I am looking for a quiet home where I can contribute my skills, for example fixing small problems when things not working. My Australian friend says I have a good sense of humour. In my spare time I like to exercise, read and watch movies, particularly sci-fi (I have over a thousand blockbusters and popular movies in my collection).
Gay guy originally from Brisbane but called Melbourne home for nearly 4 years now. Professional job allows me flexibility re work hours so not always 9-5 Mon-Fri. I have a good circle of mates and like to get out and socialise. I am clean, tidy, thoughtful and very respectful of others and their belongings. MOST IMPORTANTLY ... I have a 10 year old beagle, Jasper, who is at the age where he just does his own thing at his own pace. He's a beautiful dog and takes to pretty much anyone and enjoys companionship. Not a barker or a digger and has his own rental references from landlords and agents. So am obviously looking for somewhere pet friendly with a decent (doesn't have to be huge) yard or park nearby. We have unfortunately just had to farewell our great little Brunswick home as, as fantastic as she was, the owner moved back from the UK. I have entered my move date as end of month for the sake of it but can move anytime preferring sooner. I have a small 2 bedroom house (approx) of high end appliances and designer furniture all 1-3 years old which would be great to make use of but can store if need be. As far as housemate ages, I really am open to living with anyone 18 to 50 or 60 or whatever, provided you're mature, don't continually piss people off and chip in good. I do get along best with guys and girls in their 20s, 30s and 40s and love the variety that comes with it.
Hello there :) I am a 30 years old, PhD student at The University of Melbourne and I am based at The Royal Children Hospital to do my studies. I was born in Italy and lived there until 4 years ago. Then Melbourne captured me with its sunsets, stunning views and multicultural&funky vibe. I am looking for share housemates who are open, respectful, friendly and don't need all the time to do things together to feel they have a good vibe in the house. I can offer the same in exchange. I want a cosy place that will feel like home _a place where I can relax and get rid of the PhD&life stresses. Don't mind if you do parties or have friends over and I hope I may be able to invite few friends over, too (I like to host small pizza party - i have an electric oven which simulates a woodfired oven ;) ). However, I am not up for a constant party house. I like people and i usually get along with others easily if things are communicate openly. I want to leave in a decent and clean space. I am happy to participate in a cleaning roster (actually i would prefer that so no need to argue about who did the bathroom last time ;) ). Things that makes me happy... hang out in parks, having long skype calls with my family&friends, doing yoga, exercising, going to markets or second hand shops, going to the Abbotsford Convent, cooking and baking, talking about science and philosophy (don't worry not too heavy stuff!), art galleries wondering. I am Pescis if this matters ;)

Hi, my name is Ajay and I am a full time student working full time hours. I am currently studying business at Vic Uni and work most evenings. I am a very clean and tidy person and love to socialise being fully aware that everyone needs their own space. I prefer to live outer city suburbs (or cbd). I am a very easy going person and would also be interested in teaming up for a new lease.
We are a young easy going, fun, polite couple. We both work full time in the city - Renee is a Store Manager and Jason is a service advisor (both working long hours). My name is Vincent, working full time as a Grad Engineer and am looking for a new place to stay starting from the 10th of June. My work hours are generally 9-5. If I were to describe myself as a flatmate it would be that I am very considerate, approachable, easy going and always down to meet new people. I also love animals and don't mind living with them, so definitely a plus if you have any :) I enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities from board games, gaming and movies to camping, hiking, surfing, gigs and travel. If are interested to know more about me, or believe that I would be a good fit for your house please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks, Vincent
Hi, I am responsible and tidy and I pay my bills on time. I am easy going and friendly. I enjoy sharing meals with housemates and having a drink and a chat. I am also independent and I enjoy my own downtime. I like to think that I am a fun and considerate person to live with. I like to create a relaxing and homely atmosphere. I am happy to pitch in and do my fair share of housework and other household responsibilities. I work as a visual art teacher in a primary school in Yarraville, and I also do some fashion retail. These two jobs keep me very busy and I am not home in the day. At home I enjoy cooking and watching a movie or TV series. In my spare time I do yoga, go to gigs, out for meals, or enjoy going to all kinds of Melbourne festival events. I recently enjoyed checking out a few comedy shows. I like getting involved in community when I can and I have recently been going to welcome dinners that aim to connect new migrants with established Australians. I myself am originally from Canada, and I have lived here for 10 years now and have my citizenship. I like to travel and enjoy weekends away in country Victoria or going to Tasmania. Please get in contact by phone or message if you think I sound like a good fit for your house, or if you have any questions that I have not answered. Thanks :)
Hey there! My name is Shaek (pronounced shake) and I am a 20 year old currently residing in Sydney however moving to Melbourne for approx 1 year for work and to also experience life away from the bubble of my current city. Im not the best at selling myself, but here it goes. Being the eldest of 5 children, I have a strong understanding of personal space as well as overall cleanliness and am very responsible and dependable. Majority of the time I like to keep to myself but am always up for a laugh and love listening to people talk. I am known to be an extremely relaxed and laid back person so I can assure you that there will be no conflict over mundane issues. I am an avid reader and often tend to lock myself in the room, so some days you may not even hear a peep. Fishing is another hobby I seriously enjoy as well as eating at places with great reviews, socialising with friends, having a drink or 10, watching movies and other things. Although I am only 20, I believe I am able to get on with people of all ages and back grounds as I like to think I am quite open minded and have been told by many that I have great mannerisms and professionalism. Thanks for reading and let me know if you'd be interested in me being a new member of your home.
I'm a 36 yo Melbourne girl looking for a place inner city/inner west. I study fashion/modelling online and dedicate most of my time to my greatest passion, fashion. I also receive the pension from Centrelink so I am reliable with rent and bills. I'm easy going, respectful of others and friendly. I also am clean and tidy. My hobbies are listening to music, dancing, going out with friends, good food and I love nature, animals and spirituality. Im social but also respectful and enjoy some peace and quiet at home. I hope to find someone I am compatible with and share some interests with, just basically someone mutually respective and clean and easy going and down to earth.
I'm a Malaysian girl working full-time in the city. Graduated as an engineering major from University of Tasmania in 2015. I speak fluent English and Mandarin. I listen to music a lot (quietly of course) and play computer games during my free time. On weekends, I'd go for road trips or brunch with friends. I'm a light sleeper and usually quiet myself but I'm rather easy-going and enjoys a good conversation from time to time. Happy to have a drink or two during Friday nights or weekends. Some additional requirements for the accommodation I'm looking for, - free parking available, either off-street or on-street, or at least resident permit provided - rent + bills and internet shouldn't cost more than $200/week (any higher I prolly couldn't afford) - nearby public transport - preferably not more than 3 tenants sharing the property - private room only (this is an absolute must!) (Please, please, only contact me if you think the accommodation you're offering is suitable for me, saves both our times.)
I'm a 25yo social worker, I love music ( I play guitar, and I sing), I enjoy cooking and baking, and previous housemates have said I'm a delight to live with! I've been living in Melbourne for six years now, and have always lived west side. I've just spent the last few months traveling around Europe, and now looking for a place to be my home!
Hi, this is Eddie from Taiwan. I'm 27yrs old engineer works in IT and as a freelance translator. I'm easygoing and tidy, always down for a bit of banter. I'll be studying in melb later on this year, currently looking for a place to stay from the 4th of June up to three months stay. If u still have a private room/single studio apartment, a parking spot(street parking is fine) available, please let me know and hopefully we can organize a viewing soon. Cheers! And no couples, thx!
Hi there! I'm Kimberley Fernandes, a 25-year-old Indian whose first language is English. I'm a student of the Master of Social Work program at the RMIT City campus. I'm currently living in Preston, but looking to move closer to the city or Fairfield, where I will be doing my industry placement next semester. Preferences are a private room in a share house in inner suburbs, preferably Fairfield, North Melbourne, Brunswick, Moonee Ponds, Pascoe Vale, Flemington, or Coburg. Some more about myself: I'm moderately outgoing but respect (and appreciate) privacy, enjoy meeting new people and having fits of laughter, beer (thank you, Australia!), and try writing in my dormant blog whenever I can (or act upon that surge of inspiration in the dead of the night). I've worked as a print journalist in India, and am a bit of a word nerd. I've lived in shared accommodations for the past 5 years, and have thankfully been blessed with roommates who, to quote Luna Lovegood - I'm also a Potterhead! - are just as sane as I am. I'm still figuring out how to cook, so I don't spend ages in the kitchen because I mostly eat pasta, sandwiches or stir fried veggies. However, I am non-vegetarian, but am happy to use separate utensils. I'd appreciate you giving this a go, cheers!
Hello! I'm a Creative Writing student at Deakin University (Burwood) working part time. I write a blog about anything and everything. I'm not a big party person although I do enjoy dinner and drinks, and prefer to watch movies or Netflix in my leisure time. I'm a relatively quiet person, albeit quite social as well and I try to maintain a tidy space as well as living minimally in my space. I like to get things done sooner rather than later. I get along very well with pets (but don't have my own) and will be mindful of others during night time hours.
I'm a full time Veterinary Medicine student who spends too much time with their head in a textbook. I'm looking for a sharehouse with chill vibes which I can retreat to at the end of the day. I come with my best mate Charlie, a 10 year old Spoodle X hot water bottle who is a heckin' good boy. He's a super friendly pup, is quiet and doesn't shed hair.
I love meeting new people, socialising, and being a part of household that enjoys hanging out but respects people's alone time. I am someone who likes to keep peace and harmony within a share house since nobody wants to live in an hostile arrangement. I am happy to share my stuff (as long as you ask) and the responsibilities of house-keeping; I am not super stringent but I like to keep shared spaces tidy. Since I’m moving to a new city, I am looking for a share house with people that I can be friends with to make the transition easier. As for my interests/hobbies, I enjoy theatre/musical theatre, bike riding, dancing, going out, reading, video gaming, politics, and martial arts. In terms of my share house experience, I have lived at my current share house for nearly 3 years now with three others (two of them I have lived with since I moved in). Before that I spent 2.5 years at a student college with the final year as a senior resident/resident assistant that is I had pastoral care duties for 24 people living on my floor. Since I live in Canberra, I am going to go down to Melbourne from the 26th to the 28th of May in order to squeeze in as many potential house inspections as well as celebrate my 24th birthday with my two best friends. If we are unable to meet up during then I am happy to do a Skype call but I understand if that isn’t your cup of tea when reviewing potential housemates.
I am doing my PhD at Uni of Melbourne. I am looking for a studio room or a new private room with nice, friendly and reliable flatmates to stay for a long period. Look forward to hearing from you. I can move in from now on.
I'm relaxed, easy going. Pay attention to cleanliness but I'm not over the top. I enjoy socialising but also respect and value privacy. I have a passion for health and fitness... and a passion for beer and wine. Life is all about balance 😊
Hello! I've just moved to Melbourne after having spent the last decade split between California, Finland and Germany. I am searching for an affordable, furnished or partially furnished room in a flat or house share.(If need be, I can also furnish a room, don't hesitate to write!). I'm flexible with regard to rental length as well, whether something shorter or longer term. I translate and edit professionally, so I am occasionally around at home to do that, although more often than not I'm out and about working or exploring. I'm increasingly involved in music production and web design as well professionally and for myself. I like to play ice hockey and music (with headphones at home, with amplifiers elsewhere ;)). I'm quite interested in politics, science, tech and the world at large. I am tidy, responsible and quiet. I'm happy to socialise with housemates, and it's nice to catch up for a meal together and to be able to chat. I enjoy cooking and baking a bit. I don't have pets or kids, am consistently employed, and can pay rent/bills/bond on time. I'd prefer to live with people who don't smoke indoors as I don't smoke myself. I am bilingual (German/English) and happy to practise Finnish and French if you're keen. It would be lovely to keep up/brush up on languages :) I am quite flexible with regard to location so long as good public transit connections are nearby, as I do not own a car (although I am after a bike here soon :)) and am fully at the mercy of Melbourne's trains, trams and buses for now ;) Looking forward to hearing from you, thanks!
Hello, FlatMatties! I am doing my bachelors from La Trobe University Bundoora Campus and working part time at Collins street. Have lived in room and flat shares before so I know the etiquettes of share houses. I am a decent jolly guy who will always try to understand your situation and deal you accordingly. I am mostly out for work or studies and just come back in the night. I am a pretty much welcoming guy and love to meet people from diffrent cultures. I like to party once a while or go out on weekend to beaches or maybe exploring the city but don't worry if the house vibe is not party like I will respect other people's comfort. I would love to meet people who like to have a conversation or a drink once in a while but at the same time can give me some alone time. I am looking somewhere either in the CBD, Southbank, Docklands and Carlton or I will be willing to move to suburbs on tram 86 route area or any surrounding suburbs from where the commute time to city is 10-20 minutes. I am more than willing to rent out a place of our own and start a share house with like minded people. I am actually looking for long term place but my lease at current place will expire on 13th June
