In desperate need of a bug-free place. One-bedroom apartment/standalone/no roommates. I get that this is *flatmates* and I am concentrating my efforts on real estate sites, but I figured it was worth also listing on here just in case. Highlights: * Move in: ASAP * Area surrounding CBD. Hopefully no more west or south than Newtown, no more north than Crows Nest - 20 minutes or less via train to central * I have my own furniture but honestly don't know how to move it, so furnished, unfurnished, or flexible furnishings is a-okay * Needs complete, real kitchen. No kitchenettes. Also need complete separation between kitchen and bedroom, no open plan * Preference to NOT being on ground level * Again, budget of 500/week I'm Sarah, a recent graduate from a university in New York where I studied microbiology, but I'm from the midwest of America. I studied a semester abroad here last year which further confirmed my desire to leave America for the good ol land of Oz. I'm on the tail end of a work and holiday visa, but already have a student visa lined up and fully approved. I'm looking for a clean place. Please. I've been traumatized by this place. Misled. Hoodwinked. I thought this place was great. It's horrible. There is a terrible cockroach infestation. And then there's a giant crack in the front entrance between the door and actual floorboards. So tons of those big cockroaches creep in and go straight to my room. Oh did I mention that the guy in the room next to me is basically a hoarder? Yeah. I would love a place with hard wood floors instead of carpet, but it's not always a deal breaker. A place walking distance to a train station, but not too close, is also ideal. Or a short bus ride away from central. Basically I just want easy public transit to CBD. Please help me. I'm about to rip my hair out. I'm a clean, quiet girl, who likes to avoid issues. Don't con me into a bug-infested place. :(
Looking for a furnished private room/place to move into ASAP for at least 4-6 months with the possibility of extending. Would prefer my own bathroom (or shared with one other). Non-smoker and would prefer to live with other non-smokers. LGTBQI friendly, animal lover (especially cats) but not bringing any with me. Would prefer an all female flat, or a mix of girls and guys. I'm 27 years old, working in digital advertising full time and just finished my masters last year. I work in Pyrmont so ideally looking for something within walking distance or close to the light rail or a train station. Born in Australia but moved away and having been living abroad in Hong Kong and New Zealand up until 2015. I'm very chilled and sociable, but also like my downtime and respect other's space. I like quiet nights in watching a movie, drawing or learning a new language (I speak six). I also enjoy swimming and trying new cuisines. Traits I appreciate in a flatmate are cleanliness, respectful in regard to noise and privacy and just being generally friendly. I've lived in a variety of situations including on my own, in a penthouse apartment in a hotel, flatting with singles and couples (straight & gay) and in a dormitory. Happy to provide references from previous places if requested.
Hi, I will be coming back to Sydney on the 11th May 2017, I have previously lived in sydney for four months. In this time I stayed in hostels and in a shared flat with 11 people. I'm looking for something that I can call home and a private room of its own. I will be working in the financial industry so will be out of the property during normal working hours. I'm looking for a house which has some nice housemates that I can chat with and go on fun adventures - maybe share a bottle of wine 😉 - but not a constant party flat. If you think you have something which matches what I'd like send me a message :) I land on the 11th of willing to do inspections when I land! Thanks, Ashley

Hi! I am a French graduate student in computer science, and I will do a research internship in Sydney from mid-April to mid-August. I am a serious, hard-worker and calm person with many hobbies including taking photos, drawing and playing the piano. I would love to spend my 4 months in Sydney with some other students or young people of my age, and I intend to take advantage of my free time there to discover the city and possibly the country.
Hi future flatmate(s)! I’m Marie. I just arrived in Sydney on last week and it’s my first time in Australia, so It’s all new to me. I’m French, I’m 23 and I’ve just finished my studies. I came to Sydney for a year to work full time as a cost controller. So basically, I’m looking for a flatshare to stay for all the duration of my contract here, and not too far from North Sydney (where I work). That said, it is also very important for me to create a new life and feel at home. I already know some super friendly French people here but I’d like to meet new people (or what’s the point of being so far from home 😉 ) Aside from that I’m super clean and tidy 😉 (well.. I also have my little moments of laziness sometimes, but it stays in my room). Like to go out, love cinema and music (not necessarily in that order). I can speak Spanish (some latinos in the flat?) See you soon. Marie
Clean, tidy. Love meeting new people. Have been backpacking for a few years and now I'm here in Sydney to stay. I'm originally from New Zealand.I work as a bartender in the city. Looking forward to unpacking my backpack and staying in one place.
Hey! I'm 24 years old and I'm moving up to Sydney for a full-time job. I'm originally from Melbourne where I worked as a part-time barista at a cafe (for all you coffee snobs, I'll bring a coffee machine) and studied (astrophysics - for those who like space and stuff). My passions lie in science, tech, memes and I also enjoy cooking, reading (anything) and sport (again anything - mainly basketball). I love to socialise, get out and explore sites and nature, won't turn down the opportunity for a beer/glass of vino (and some) and enjoy a movie/tv series/doco. I'm very easy-going, friendly, interested, clean and happy to help during an existential crisis. I'm hoping to move in between May 8-14. Happy to skype/call to meet potential housemates.
American girl on work-holiday. I'm always down to find local live music, roadtrip, drink and socialize, discover new cafes/good eats/breweries, hit the beach, etc. Ideally would love to live with guys/girls who are social and relaxed people who want to share some meals, chilled nights as well as go out and enjoy all the city has to offer! :) Currently work M-F days and will be studying CAD classes soon. Cheers.
hey guys, I've recently moved to Sydney from Adelaide to study, and I'm looking for a roof to put over my head. I'm a 24 y/o male, English originally, whose clean, sociable, reliable and about as easy going as you can get. I enjoy travel, I'm a massive music fan, and an illustration and graphic design student. A room is a MUST, but I'd also love a few decent house mates who I can share a drink with on the weekend.
Hi I'm Brooke and I'm a 2nd year uni student at UTS studying finance and international studies. Love to paint, cook, stay active, drink wine/coffee and visit art galleries. Always keen for a chat but respect peoples privacy Clean and tidy, always pay my bills on time Looking for a place that feels like home and would love to move into a friendly and social house :)
Hi I'm Kate! I'm looking for an apartment in the Sydney cbd or areas close by. I'm moving from the west and currently work in hospitality. Vegan & passionate about health, fitness and cooking.
We are a young hard working couple, we will be working in Sydney during the working week and would like to spend our time socialising, meeting new people and seeing great places. We are both clean and tidy people and would love to meet people similar to us. Looking for easy going people who we can get along with well We are from the UK and looking for a place for roughly 3-6 months
I am a young professional, working as a management consultant in Sydney CBD. I recently moved to Sydney from Ireland and am still trying to get my bearings in the city. I am friendly, easy-going and respectful. I value my personal space but am always up for a good chat. I also like to maintain a clean and tidy living environment at all times. I like to hit the gym, listen to music or catch up on my favourite TV series in my free time and, as an expat in Sydney, I hope to explore all that the city has to offer...so any advice for a newbie would be most welcome!
Hello, My name is Victor, I am 22 and just arrived in Sydney a couple of days ago. I am a student from France doing an internship in Chippendale, looking for my own room in a shared house, with some good vibes & some good atmosphere. About me, I am basically very friendly and get along with all type of people. I am working 9 to 6 every day, like to hang out at weekends and have after work drinks. I always clean up my dishes when I've finished my meal, like to cook sometimes for others although I am not that good. Don't hesitate to ask me some more questions if you have. Victor
Hi there, my name is Tegan. I am 25 years old and moving from Melbourne to Sydney in early May to take up a new full-time job. I'll be working in Darlinghurst as a trainee embryologist and am looking for a private room in a sharehouse that is preferably close to a train station. I'm hoping to find a social house with housemates who like to hang out occasionally and have the odd meal/glass of wine/night out together. I will be working during the day on weekdays and at nights I like to cook, exercise and relax. On weekends I enjoy going out at night and being active and adventurous during the day. I love animals (though sadly will have to leave the family dog in Melbourne), avocados and memes, and I bake the most amazing chocolate chip cookies. Looking forward to hearing from any potential housemates!
