I am international scholarship student with wife and one little kid (1.5 year old at the time of moving) from Cambodia (country in southeast Asia). I will move to Australia in early January. Firstly, I will arrive Australia alone and will bring my wife and kid very soon after I settle down in my study . I am looking for a place that could accept family with small kid. I am easy going and open but I am not talkative and mostly focus on study. I will be looking for part time job there and my wife will also looking fulltime job during the stay. My family are looking to build good relationship with flat mate and we are happy to share duties and responsibility in the house.
I'm looking to move to inner west Melbourne/Kensington/Footscray in late November but if I find the right household, happy to be flexible. I've just started a new physio job at Western Hospital. I love cooking and talking over a few wines/beers so if you are a social household we would be well suited. I'm also very clean, like a bit of alone time and a full nights sleep, would best get along with people who like to have fun and also respect other's needs.
Looking for a clean, reliable and friendly housemate. I work as an educator at different schools. I enjoy cooking and having a drink with my flatmates sometimes but also like my space. I love to baking. I'm pretty easy-going, very dependable, value privacy and a quiet setting. Let me know if you have any questions!
Not after a shared accommodation,I'm looking for a lease break. Not sure if I'm in a right place to look for it but I wonder if someone is going to move out and look for someone to take over? Sick of dealing with unreliable real estate agents :(
Hey guys Me and my girlfriend Lily have moved to Melbourne and we're looking for a house/flat share somewhere in or around the CBD. We're both fun but not party animals, clean, respectful and love to cook. We're looking to stay for around 4-5 months. To tell you a little about us (Joe) I'm a chef by trade and have worked for some top hotel chains (Hilton, Four Seasons) I love to play and watch sports or anything thing that keeps me fit. (Lily) Lily works in retail and is a keen fashion bloggers, she loves to buy clothes (obviously), she loves to cook and hates mess. Thanks for reading and feel free to message me Thanks Joe & Lily
Hello! My name is Ashton, I’m a young and motivated individual excited and ready to relocate to Melbourne. I’ve been living in shared accommodation for the last couple of years. I enjoy living in a clean house and will always do my part in making sure everyone is living comfortably therefore I am quite competent in paying my bills on time, doing my share of the cleaning, I don't leave stuff lying about the place, I am capable of cleaning/picking up after myself, and am mindful of noise and personal space. I’m easy going and someone who considers myself to be very approachable. I sport a healthy and well balance lifestyle, relatively active with the gym and/or playing Squash or other sports. I can cook a pretty mean meal, so up for sharing a meal or two with housemates or not. I would be looking to move in with pretty similar age group who also like existing with other good people and possibly share similar lifestyle. I’m always up for a movie(s) or getting stuck into a good series together, or some intense card/board games over an occasional drink. I don't smoke, nor do I have pets as much as I love the furry little critters. Don’t be afraid to hit me up… Not currently residing in Melbourne so am always willing to meet over Skype for those who are interested. CLEAN LIVING | COFFEE LOVER | DESIGN | PHOTOGRAPHY | YOGA TEACHER
Hey guys, I'm Sam, 22, I moved to Australia from England when I was little, I'm English by blood and Australian by heart. I'm a hard worker with my eyes set on the future, I've previously studied at university in Melbourne and currently I'm working part time, with around 4-5 shifts a week which keeps me busy. When I'm not working I love playing my guitar, exploring places I've never been and keeping my mind and my body healthy. I'm a caring person with a big heart who loves putting a smile on people's faces, I'm respectful of others feelings and needs and keep myself and surroundings tidy.
We both very easy going, clean, respect each others, really like traveling, love nature, food, movies, wine, cheese and chocolate for sure 😊
Hi I'm Julian, I'm 29 y.o graphic designer — I work full time at a design studio in Collingwood. I work standard hours and keep things pretty low key during the week, though I do enjoy the odd glass of wine in the evenings. On weekends I like to catch up with friends, get out to gigs or exhibitions, catch a film or just hang in the sun, and I play a bit of soccer too. I enjoy the party times but have toned it down a bit in recent years. I'm keen to experience life on the north side, with the added bonus of being closer to work. I'm a pretty easy going guy and prefer living a social environment where sharing meals and a drink or two on the w/e is encouraged.
I'm easy-going, clean, dependable and sociable. (Wow, it's always hard for me to write these short descriptions.) My business partners decided to move back to their respective home countries so I've just finished closing up shop. It's back to the old IT freelancing gig for now, until I figure out my next stop, which means I'll be working from home most days for a little while. I'm originally from Delhi. I've been living here since I turned 18 so I've accumulated a fair bunch of friends over the years. Hoping to add my future housemates to the list. I usually go out on the weekends for drinks/gigs, but when I don't I like to watch movies/tv shows and read. I'm into an occasional hike or two, trying new things and keeping it real.
hey guys, my name is Montanna im a 20 y/o model from Perth WA and planning to move to Melbourne early next year. I'm looking to stay in Melbourne for at least a year to work full time, wanting to move somewhere not far from the city and easy public transport as I'm planning to work around there. I'm a friendly, bubbly person love to have a chat. I'm very clean and tidy. I'm hoping to find a place with friendly flatmates and great vibes. If you think i would be a great flatmate please let me know thank you :)
I'm 32 years old, work full time in hotel management but luckily don't have to work the crazy hospitality hours. I like to cook, read, drink coffee, dance and get out hiking or running as well as anything that means I get to be in the sunshine. I'm equally happy on my own as in the company of others so I enjoy a house dynamic that's both social (not after party to 5am social though) but also relaxed and do your own thing. I'm not a neat freak but I respect shared spaces and always clean up after myself. I have a small dog named Pip. She's 4 years old, completely house trained, sleeps all day, loves cats, long walks, tennis balls and ear scratches. She only needs a small yard with a bit of sunshine but she does spend time inside when I'm home. Ideally I'm looking for a place with 1-2 housemates, for a minimum of 6 months. My move dates are flexible but preferably it would be great to find something by the end of November
I currently work in HR in the South east. I also volunteer in the city as a crisis counsellor so I keep pretty busy! I studied Psychology for a while, and I'm still thinking of continuing that in order to forge a new career path. I am currently looking for a longer-term home - I would love to be a part of a social household to satisfy my enegertic introverted personality, but not a "party house" (I'm a little old for that!) But I'd love to be able to have a drink and hang out with housemates sometimes.
Hello. My name is Tobias, I'm 24 years old and come from Germany. On the 1st of November I will start to research at the university of Melbourne. I guess I'm open minded, friendly and want to have a good time in Australia, because it's the last time befor I will write my thesis and gonna work.
Hello hello! We are an *AWESOME* couple looking for some peace of mind so we can get work done! Bruno is an entrepreneur. He owns an advertising agency in Brazil and is currently launching a new online business - so he's always working on his laptop (either at home or in some trendy cafe). His mains hobbies are reading, networking, attending seminars and exercising outdoors. Oh, and he also writes about Personal Development. Leticia is a ballerina. She has a promising career as a contemporary dancer and has even performed internationally with big names in the industry. She's a very active individual, and is always moving - either taking ballet classes, practicing yoga or doing pilates. We've been travelling Australia & New Zealand for the past 3 months in search for the perfect city to settle down. After visiting Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth, Auckland and Queenstown, we finally have a winner :) Right now we're looking for a place with central location to set our base. Bruno will be doing lots of work and going to business meet ups, and Leticia will be outside visiting dance studios and honing her craft. We're very easygoing and have a positive mindset, and we value a clean and organized environment. And as much as we love to chat and interact, we can also respect your privacy if you're not very talkative. Oh and 2 things that are important to mention: 1. We are both vegan and we love to cook - so we'll use the kitchen a lot! But don't worry because we always clean up after ourselves. 2. Bruno is allergic to cats and cigarettes. So it must be a no-cats, no-smoking house. If you read this far and believe we'd be a compatible match for your place, then send us a message and let's get to know each other! We can't wait to meet our new flatmate ;)
Hey there! I'm looking for a new place to move into towards the end of November, I would be more then happy to move into a private room or to start up a new share house! I'm bubbly and social, love a good chat and a good feed, maybe a drink or two, I work in hospitality and that requires me to be out a lot at night, but I do have a far amount of free time during the day and I will always have Sunday off! I'm use to this renting thing and paying bills so there's never a worry about me paying up on time, because I do live in an apartment in the city at the moment I actually have a fair amount of furniture, that can come with me or not. Also as a bonus I come with a beautiful low maintenance fish tank and a very adorable blue baby budgie! Peace! Jess x
I'm an easy-going, Finland-born guy who has adopted Melbourne as a home and is used to sharehouse living. I'm tidy, courteous towards other people and respect other people's space and privacy. I work in a small architecture firm and in my spare time pretend to dabble in woodwork or pot plants if there's room for it. I enjoy getting a drink or a coffee with my housemates, and try to do some sort of regular exercise.
I'm a fun and confident guy interested in beginning my life in a city full of oppurtunity. I am oringally from rural Seymour, so I can bring a little country flair to our home (minus the akubra). I am planning on studing Business next year at RMIT, and am in the process of acquiring a part time/full time job. I love fashion, cosmetics, food and cooking, hard work and alcohol (important)! I am easy to live with, and enjoy a bit of cleaning (I'm inhuman). I value personal space, yet would also love to binge watch 'Orange is the new Black' with you accompanied with a LARGE glass of champagne.
Hi, we are a couple of young people and, because of work, we just recently started looking to move from Brisbane to Melbourne end of January. French woman working in Optometry and English man full time worker in Marketing for Telstra. Looking for a place: somewhere close to CBD, public transport and all facilities are must. Very friendly, we are used to live in houseshares or flatshares and like socialising. Comfortable living with other people. Clean and involved in the everyday tasks at home. We are after a new home with a nice, chill and quite atmosphere.
21, law and finance uni student, work a lot, clean and keeps to herself.
I am a really easy going guy, who likes to go out, meet new people and explore. I have traveled the world and have lived on my own before. So I have no problem paying bills, or keeping the place clean. I am from Toronto Canada and have decided to live in Australia for a year and then maybe travel a bit around Asia and New Zealand. I am into business and sports, I love hockey even though I hear there's not much of it in Australia, but also love tennis, basketball, baseball, and soccer. I like to try new things for fun, and will always say yes to going out and partying. I do enjoy though sometimes staying in and watching Netflix haha. Looking for a roommate not only to be a roommate but maybe a friend, a person to go out with and show me the city when you have the time, or even go on adventures. I am a young professional and plan on working part time or full time during the week, while I am studying for my CFA exam. Looking for a furnished room with a bed and a place to put my clothes most importantly.
I've been living in shared housing for 7 years now. I work full time in hospitality so I'm not about too much but like to chill when at home. I'm looking for a private room ( no shared rooms thanks) somewhere which is walking distance/ has good late night public transport from the cbd due to work.
Born in Melbourne, I've been living in Japan for the past 4.5 years. I've come back home to do some animation / design work, and I'll be going back to Japan sometime early next year. Living in Japan has turned me into a cleaning machine!! I'm very minimalistic and I don't like to keep stuff lying around. I guess you could say, keeping things clean and tidy has become a bit of a hobby for me! I'm really easy going and sociable, and love meeting new people. I used to practice hip hop dancing a while ago, and I 'try' to hit the gym every now and then...
Hi, my name is Ben. I am a 29 year old British guy who has recently returned to Melbourne after 2 years in the UK. I am looking for somewhere for the next 6 months and possibly beyond. I am a sociable guy who enjoys a drink at the weekend but I am very respectful of other peoples space. I enjoy sport and working out and an outdoor lifestyle. If you want to know anymore just ask!
Hey! I'm just a chill girl from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, looking for other girls to share a flat with, preferably fellow international students. Someone to dance to Beyonce with sometimes while putting on makeup y'know? Bonus if that's your thing, too but if isn't, it's cool. I'm an extrovert, but like everyone else, will keep to myself at times. I'll be heading to RMIT for industrial design next February. I've mad love for spicy food (Thai, especially), Japanese films, dessert, football and art. Music-wise, I like stuff like Gorillaz, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, Young The Giant, Stars, Lorde, Vampire Weekend, Disclosure, Ra Ra Riot and Childish Gambino. Among many others, anyway. I'm both a tea and coffee person. The same goes for dogs and cats. I speak three languages ー English, Malay and Japanese. Basically, I'm pretty easygoing and I like getting to know new people. And I really really love the beach. Hit me up if you think we'd get along! Feel free to check me out on Twitter/Instagram (@eeleeyah).
Hey, My names Rita I am 21, I moved to Melbourne from Adelaide 6 months ago. I am a full time student studying law and business at Vic Uni and also work part time at Zara. I am very sociable, easy to get along with and respectful of space, belongings and cleanliness. My lease at my current share house runs out in mid November, but I can move anytime before that. I would ideally like to move somewhere close to public transport to make it more convenient for work and Uni. If you have any question please don’t hesitate to message me anytime. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Full timer in the food tech industry. Love wine, pasta, and brunch. Very social and like to share dinner with friends (and flatmates), while watching terrible reality tv or netflix an entire season of... anything. Planning to exercise more as the weather warms up - we'll see how that goes. Unfortunately allergic to cats.
Back in Oz after a trip overseas and looking for a place to share with some great flatmates. I enjoy socialising at home and also enjoy having time to myself. I'm not into crazy house parties but like to sometimes have friends over for dinner and drinks. I love cooking. I'm not a clean freak, but I always make sure I do my bit to keep the share areas clean and tidy. I also have a car, so looking for a place with car parking available (street parking is okay). I also have a few vegie plants in small pots and herbs, so would need outdoor space for those.
I'm a 24 year old Australian currently studying towards a Masters degree in IT at the University of Melbourne.
I am an SCM Engineer working as a System Analyst in an IT Company. Looking for a house and housemates that I can share great moments but also respect individuality and having my own space
Super neat, hardly home, quiet, pet free, smoke free, drama free! Moved to Melb a month ago for a role in a engineering company. I travel quite a bit and will most likely be away one week each month. Hobbies? Cooking, reading, yoga, travelling and dining out. I'm looking for a furnished room within 5km of the CBD.
Hi, I'm Jack and I'm originally from Brisbane, currently living in Melbourne. I work from home during the day and make music at night and on the weekend. I'm looking for somewhere to live long-term while I undertake study and work next year.
I'm clean, quiet and keep to myself mostly although I'm up for some interesting chats if u want. I love Nando's and sometimes a few beers.
I am a dentistry student who works part-timely at a restaurant and a printing company. I can get along with people very well but when I am at home I would prefer to stay in my room to chill and do my own thing. I use my own stuff and like to keep my area clean. I don't mind to have regular clean-ups with the housemates or roommates at all, I also enjoy cooking in the meantime.
Hey! I'm Caity, I'm 22 and from the Gold Coast. I moved to Melbourne a year ago to study primary education and disability studies at RMIT, and I work as a bartender in Richmond. I'm looking to live around the Richmond/South Yarra area to stay close to work, but would also love to live in Fitzroy, Northcote, Collingwood etc. I really enjoy going to gigs, exploring new bars and going to footy games. I've lived out of home for 5 years so am well versed on paying bills and keeping a clean house. I also have a 3 year old cat named Maxi - he's super cute and sociable and just loves absolutely everyone he meets. If I sound like I'd be a good fit for you, please send me through a message so I can come check out your place :) Caity

Hi future house mates, I'm Martin, a 26 year old single, non-smoking, male student at RMIT. I'm studying Social Work full time and I work part time as a Community support worker. I'm pretty easy going, like to meet new people, go out and socialise. As a roommate, I'm a tidy person and like to keep things neat and clean. I've lived in rental homes before and I'd prefer to move in with people that are similarly tidy. I respect other peoples privacy and am generally quiet around the house. I might invite the occasional friend over for a catch up once in a while, but generally I'll go out when I'm catching up with friends. If you have any questions about me, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for reading my profile. It would be great to meet up and talk to you further and see your place in person. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Best regards, Martin
Gold Coast university student who recently moved to Melbourne! I now study Education at Victoria University in Footscray Park. I am looking for an ALL FEMALE household, close to public transportation with no more than 4 residents. I am a tidy housemate, social and friendly. I like animals, nature, video games and movies. I often travel to and from the Gold Coast to visit my boyfriend. I am keen to learn more about the city and explore new places! xx
Hello Hello, I am 24, study writing and RMIT and work part time. I grew up in a forest but Melbourne has been my home for the last few years. I've travelled a lot and lived in Sydney for a while where I studied photography. I'm now looking to find a new place to live that I can stay in while I finish my degree. I would love to live in a place with a nice garden (or potential for a nice garden) and am not fussy about the location as long as its close enough to the city and some nice bike paths as riding my rusty yellow bicycle is one of my favourite things to do. I'd like to live with people who I could be friends with and work with to create a nice space to live in. Ideally it would be great to be with people that I can share my love of books, music and plants with. I love to cook and share food and am always up for a chat. During the week I usually keep my head in my studies and work, but on the weekends I like dancing, going to the beach or hiking and baking bread ( sometimes not so successfully but its fun anyway!). I should mention that I do have a small fluffy cat called Mogwai (after the gremlins not the band), who I would like to bring with me but if it's absolutely not possible I can figure something out. He's a good guy though. This is my first time sharing in three years, but I'm excited to see how it goes and have many useful house things that I can contribute. My preference is to start a new share house, but if the right one comes along I could move somewhere already established. Hope to hear from my new house mates soon! Best, Alicia
Hi everyone. We are a lovely couple looking for a private room in CBD as we work and study in there. We are very friendly, tidy, pay rent on time, and love sharing time with flatmates. Julian loves playing guitar and others instruments, I am dancer. We will be very glad to be your housemate.
I am a full time working professional. 28 y.o male in the hospitality industry. I am great company but also understand that people need their own space. I like a very neat, clean and tidy house. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email.
Looking for a place to move as soon as possible closeish to the city. Starting a new position in the City (Parkville) , so needing a new place as soon as possible. Feel free to check out my profile. Currently a Partime Psych Student (Honours) starting in 2017, working at Parkville as a Youth Counsellor during the week/weekends (Shift Work) in Burwood. Hi I'm Michael. I am looking for a place and a few people to call home! I work full time as a business and tech consultant in the city, and love to spend my time being active (particularly running long distances), having a beer with friends and love food in all ways! Not boring but also enjoy a night in sharing dinner and a drink as much as a night out. I grew up in adeaide and moved to melbourne 9 years ago! Love to get out and see the world, whether near to home or beyond. I am a clean and tidy person, and enjoy cooking. Would love a house to share a few meals with some great people. Flexible with move in dates, so it is just an indicator! Message me if you want a chat!
My name is Alannah and I am from Vancouver, Canada. I have been living in Melbourne for a year and a half and am now looking for a new place to live. I have a degree in psychology that I obtained at home and love to travel, which is partly why I moved here since I have made a lot of friends over the years through my travels who are from Australia. I work full time Monday to Friday so will be out of the house for most of the weekdays. I am really friendly and outgoing, enjoy a good night in watching a movie or a fun night out at clubs and bars. I am a foodie as well where I like to cook as well as try new restaurants and cafes, especially being in a new city. I like the outdoors and yoga and just having fun and spending time with good company.
I'm 25 and work full time (Tuesday-Saturday) in retail in the CBD. In my time off I like to keep fit and social and travel every chance I get. I'm looking for a new place to call home ASAP, preferably with someone I can call a friend and not just a housemate. I would love to find someone who's happy to hang out and share the occasional meal but also has their own thing going on. I'm very tidy but not ocd and not a huge partier but enjoy the occasional night out.
Due to an unfortunate change in circumstance with my current housemates (a family member needing assistance, will be taking my place in the house) I am looking for a lease between 1-4 months. I am currently in the market to purchase a house which I hope to have achieved by late January, if this isn't the case I will be moving with a close friend of mine once their lease has ended until I have managed to purchase my own place, so what I can offer is an easy going clean and tidy 24 year old veterinary nurse that works a lot of night shift (especially over NOV,DEC and JAN) I will go out on occasion and enjoy having a wine together every so often but most of the time when I have down time I'm either outdoors, having a snooze or hanging with my partner. I do have an extremely well behaved indoor only cat that currently resides when no ones home in the garage , it is possible for a friend to babysit him during this time, however I would obviously prefer that I can keep my little buddy with me. As mentioned I do have a partner so I would hope that everyone would be comfortable with him staying over a couple of nights during the week, we normally keep to ourselves so we wont be in your hair. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions !
I make an awesome flat mate because I'm an exceptionally bubbly and motivational person. I like to make even the dullest of activities fun (ie cleaning). I'm from Scotland, so I can teach you plenty about my culture and I daresay you will pick up on the amusing slang words we use that probably make no sense to anyone else. I'm abit of a fitness fanatic but I'm probably at my happiest when I'm socialising and having a laugh to be honest. Easy-going and easy to get along with is probably my key traits. And like I said, I try and make a laugh out of the worst of situations (believe me its the only way I've got myself out some sticky situations) so we would have fun.
I want to settle into a nice place close to my busy work life. I work as a personal trainer at a club in the city, it keeps me very busy and happy. I'm pretty much only home on the weekends but even then feel I am very busy. Would love to share a place with someone/people who have similar interests and also enjoy having the odd catch up home meals at times. I am really thoughtful and respectful of others and their space And enjoy living in clean and really positive environments.
Hello I am a french/german backpacker looking for a room to share in Melbourne. I arrived today and I am actively looking for a job but i have enough to stay a few weeks without it. I am friendly, outgoing and calm person who wants a place with some privacy (not like in hostels). I like to have a drink with friends in the evening, or just watch tv. I am a clean and organized person aswell. Cheers
