A little about myself; i'm a 22 year old girl from Norway and I have lived in Cairns since february studying at JCU. I'm now looking for a new place to live in the Cairns region as i'm done with my bachelor degree and i'm now going to start working. I have lived in student housing with 6 other poeple over the last three years, and i have good experiences with shared housing. My strongest sides as a flat mate would be that i'm clean and tidy as well as i'm a typically positive person. Likes music, any outside adventures and cooking. Also, if you have any animals that's nothing but a big bonus! My vision/hope/dream is to move into a house with a chill atmosphere, and gain enough friendship with the people i live with to get in on all the inside jokes.
Im a very relaxed personality, and yet will approach u directly if i have an issue and expect the same. Respect others privacy fully! . My pets (2x dog &1x cat)are my fur babies, well behaved, inside/outside. 2 to 3 nights a fortnight i wont be home. Im crafty and experimental, open minded and semi intelligent (haha), not a party animal but not a recluse either. Have lived with wide age range and different personality types without issues. Happy to live anywhere above Innisfail and below Smithfield;0) From Victoria. Not working atm due to health but hoping to get back into emplyment soon. Aso me anything I'm an open book.
Hi! My name is Aiden, I'm a 23 year old student in my second year of Dental Surgery at JCU. I work casually as a Powerlifting Coach and Duty Manager for Event. I just finished up an 18 month lease in Trinity Beach, and looking for new accommodation for myself and my 18 month old, very well behaved Labrador, John - so therefore a backyard is a necessity. I have a bed, desk and general appliances which I'll be bringing with me. I own a ute that can park on the street, however a road motorcycle that will need to be parked off street. I'm clean, respectful and very good when it comes to privacy, communal cleaning and banter. I don't party often at all as my study, work and training schedule is very time consuming. For fun I like to be active, hanging out with mates, going to various waterfalls or even the beach. I'm looking for housemates who have the same respective traits. Feel free to contact me. Cheers.
Heya! I'm an Aussie currently living between Cairns in Sunny Australia, Aarhus in Chilly Denmark & Bangalore in lovely India! From Sept 5 until December I'm going to be back at my desk working as a PhD Researcher at JCU & I need to find some short-term, semi-furnished accommodation in Cairns to rest my gypsy head. I need to keep my rental expenses under $200 as I'm on a scholarship & I'm without a car so good public transport is a must too. I absolutely adore animals but I'm hopelessly allergic to cats :( but I'm fine with pups & dogs! I'm currently working with transgender artists & activists around the globe as part of my PhD research, so I come with a bit of camera gear that I try to keep out of everyone's way. Mostly, I'm absorbed in my work at the moment, but I am easily (perhaps too easily) convinced to have a chat over a cup of coffee, a glass of wine or a beer! But I'm also a pretty easy-going roomie who doesn't mind when everyone needs their own space too. My full name is actually Victoria but after hating the name "Vicky" as a kid, I quickly became Viktor! ;) I'm an anthropologist/filmmaker/artist-geek who loves to roam & collect interesting people & stories along the way. Looking forward to a chat! V.x
I’m a very easy going, clean and respectful person. I have previously rented out a room in my own place in Melbourne through flatmates.com so I understand what it’s like to open your home up to potential flat mates. I currently have long term tenants in my place and I am coming up to cairns for a working holiday, minimum 2 months. I do have a well behaved small dog, and a very well loved cat, that will be joining me. I enjoy hiking, the gym and the beach. I am quite social but do like my downtime and by no means a party animal. I’m also prompt with rent, and considerate of others and their property. Any questions, happy to chat!
Hi! I am 24 years old and have just moved up to Cairns from Sydney. I am originally from Ingham, Far Nth Qld, but have been living down in Canberra and Sydney for the past 4 years. I am an easy going, quiet, and clean person. I enjoy keeping on top of my health and fitness, a good book, beach days, and socialising with family and friends. Ideally looking to move into a room in an apartment complex such as Cairns One.

I'm a 46 years old and I looking to share with 2 to 3 others northside as I have a nanny and pet sitting business where most of my work is on the beaches side. I am currently sharing and renting southside so I really need to live northside of Cairns. There is also a possibility of renting a property that has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, loungeroom, dining and kitchen, open plan and double garage in Trinity Park at the end of September. I am respectful, responsible, very tidy and also like to keep my surroundings clean. I am fun, easy going and love a good laugh so my friends say. I am looking at renting and sharing a 3 to 4 bedroom house that is pet friendly as I have a cat named Trixie. I have a number of pieces of furniture including a queen size bed suite, 2 seater lounge, white goods and small outdoor furniture. If interested please contact me.
I would like to move with my dog is the most important thing, he's my family and I love family, friends and having a good time with people. But I also need time for myself so I'm not looking for a place to party. I'm very much a nature person that's why I like Cairns, it's a beautiful place to enjoy a quiet lifestyle in contact with the sea and the forest. Non smoker tidy and busy as I have full time job. Please message me if you have room for us and you are happy to meet us.
I am a 28-year-old PhD candidate at JCU working with environmental science, I love nature. I am tidy and quiet, in a routine that is basically working on my research for the whole day. I like to cook and spend my free time resting at home or going to the beaches with friends.
Hi,Im Kayoko,32yo female from Japan, currently a student of the international language school in Kewarra beach. I've been staying English for 8months so far,and got a part-time job in Smithfield shopping centre so Im thinking about moving into the new place near by. I like neat and tidy which most japanese people does. Im a quiet ordinary japanese who likes going for a walk, chilling out on the beach, having a little chat with locals.
I'm a full time online university student, and I work part time. Very easy going, I mostly keep to myself. I don't have transport, so ideally a location within walking distance to a bus stop. I had to put something in the preferred length of stay. I am looking for long term accommodation though, I would prefer to not have to move anytime soon.
My name is Grace and I am a young and vibrant university student. I am currently studying a bachelor of nursing science and spend most of my time studying on campus and at home. I have grown up in FNQ and love chasing secluded waterfalls and targeting barramundi in my spare time. I have never been late paying rent and appreciate a clean and tidy home. I am a non-smoker and don't come with any pets. I'm a bit of a nerd so no wild parties but I do enjoy having a few while cooking dinner and cleaning the house on a Saturday night. Thank you for your time and consideration. Warm Regards, Grace
I'm a 30yr old female who has moved from Victoria to Cairns at the beginning of last year. I am an Outdoor Education Teacher which means I spend my working hours between school and out and about on camps every now and again. Outside of work I enjoy being out and about and checking out some of the wonderful walks, waterfalls, and swimming holes on offer in the region. Sporting wise I'm into mountain biking, road cycling, and dabble in the odd triathlon. So obviously I have a couple of bikes which require a secure place to keep them. I am a social person who is keen to make a few more new friends in Cairns and enjoy a few drinks. At home I am clean, respectful and would ideally like to live with people who are keen to share a meal and a couple of wines/beers every now and again. A few extra things to note...I like to bake, so if you like eating baked goods we'd be a good match. I cannot live with cats, even if they are outside. Dogs are fine, in fact they're awesome!
Two friends crossing the ditch from New Zealand. We're easy going and relaxed and excited to start our travelling adventure. Hoping to meet lots of new people and experience new things. We're both interested in working in the hospo industry and look forward to trying new experiences in the area. We're looking a for an easy going, affordable place to live close to town, as long as we have a roof over our heads then we're happy.
I'm a 32 year old Carpenter who just moved back to cairns from Perth (Originally from London though). I've been travelling for most of my twenties and I've lived in lots of different share houses before in England, Australia and Canada, haven't had any issues with housemates yet. I'm generally quite a neat/tidy person, I pay my rent on time by direct debit, I don’t leave dishes out and I don’t cook much so no mess in the kitchen! Part of my income comes from photography, so that's paying the bills till I find a new job here. Other than that, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink all that much, I’m more interested in doing active things around Cairns, like diving, hiking etc. Although after work I can also be a bit of a movie watching couch potato. Only issue is I’ve gotta get my adopted cat el stinko flown over from Perth in a few weeks. She doesn’t actually smell, its just the nickname my housemates gave her when we found her on the streets. She’s well behaved, occasionally will eat a pair of headphones but won’t cause damage or shed hair everywhere. Happy to pay a pet bond if needed, or send some cat pics over if you wanted to check her out. I'm looking to stay long term as I'll be applying for my permanent residency soon and staying put in Cairns after that. Let me know if you're interested and I’ll come take a look at your place! Thanks, John
We’re Mel and Javi from Argentina. We’re both looking for a full time job to extend our visa. We’re fun and sociable but also clean and tidy. We like to have a beer or two but absolutely respect early wakers and hard workers. We’d love to get to know you!
26 y/o fine arts graduate originally from Melbourne now undertaking a science degree at JCU. Have a 9y/o pupper Laika (Lou) who is exceedingly friendly, affectionate and low energy so a secure yard is a must. When I’m not studying or sleeping I’m out on the reef or cleaning a beach. I don’t mind a bevvy or two with dinner or a game of footy but I’m definitely not looking for a party palace, me and doggo needs our beauty sleep. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME ABOUT PROPERTIES THAT ARE NOT PET FRIENDLY!
I keep myself busy as an Art student while I work with photography and digital art mostly. 2018 is my third and final year, so I hope to have a small space where I can concentrate on my studies; otherwise, I make JCU campus my second home as it gives me access to advanced equipment. After I graduate, I'm hoping to move to Melbourne early 2019 (or late 2018) for a chance to extend my growing profession and passion as an artist. I'm a generous clean freak with an appreciation for those who recycle (I love recyclers when there's no yellow bin) and keep an active healthy lifestyle. I'm independent and love meeting new people, but I enjoy my downtime, so home will generally be a place where I can kick back and relax.
