Hey there!! I'm an American backpacker currently on a gap year before I attend university in 2018 back in the States. I'm visiting Australia on a working holiday, and as of writing this am travelling down the well-beaten backpacking trail from Cairns to Sydney! I'll first end up in Sydney at around the middle of November, where after a couple of days to decompress I'll start looking for jobs and a place to live if I haven't found one yet! I should have a couple of weeks left on my bedhopper hostel pass to get me through to the very beginning of December. I plan on working over the summer from approximately the end of November to the middle of March, and it's during those three-to-four months of time that I'm looking for somewhere to stay. I'm looking to bartend ideally (although if push comes to shove I'm not picky), so I might come home at odd hours (although I'll absolutely be as quiet and respectful of your sleeping schedule as is humanly possible). I'm primarily looking to save heaps of money over the summer with access to an amazing city to explore (hence why I'm trying to beat the odds and do so in Sydney as opposed to a cheap town somewhere), so I won't be keen on more than the odd night out, which would make me a pretty easy-going and low-maintenance, albeit nocturnal, roommate. Would be much more a fan of board games and drinks on a night in with friends. I'm also trying to learn to cook as best as I can (that's one of my summer goals!), so if you're good with trying a variety of potentially-terrible-but-hopefully-brilliant dishes and dealing with strange smells as I furiously clean the kitchen to get rid of them as I get better at my craft, we'll make a wonderful team :) I consider myself a very clean, chill, and diligent person that would make a lovely addition to practically any group as long as you're keen to have me. My preferences with regards to roommates are around the ages of 18-25ish, clean, looking to talk and hang out (I'd love to be your friend especially considering my social contact is limited to other transient backpackers and my 14-time-zone-away friends at home), and respectful. I'm one of the most laid-back people you'll ever meet for 99% of things, and flexibility is also something that I appreciate in others. Bonus points if you're into indie rock, scary movies, or romantic comedies as those are my three culture passions! Otherwise--I'm a cat lover, wannabe writer, music maniac, budding globetrotter, tea fanatic, and avocado addict who would love to meet you and see if I fit into your place!
Hey hey! My name is Zeel Patel and I’m 23 years old. I’m moving to Sydney in mid January (can move earlier for the right roommate/house). I am interested in renting a house closer to the city as I will be working there full-time. I am a laid-back gal who enjoyes company and a chat but also respects privacy. I like gym and outdoors but also would love a good binge watch! I’m a vegetarian but don’t mind if you eat meat as long as you can clean after yourself. I am easy-going and would love to make some new friends! I’d like to stay with female roommates. My budget is 300-330 per week max. Let me know if you’d like any further information and if you have anything available that matches my description. I am also interested in meeting up and search for a property together with one or two other girls. Looking forward to hearing from you! Thank you! (:
Hi all, I'm going to be away on holidays from approximately the start of December to the end of February hence I will be subletting my room for that time period. The dates are rather flexible and rent is negotiable (I'm happy to drop the rent a little if you can commit to staying the entire or most of the time:) ). The room is on the smaller side but cosy, sunny and comfortable. It has its own mini kitchenette with a sink, microwave and mini fridge, as well as lots of storage and a fold down/up table perfect for having a meal or studying. The house itself has a beautiful backyard equipped with a BBQ as well a a large TV and a common kitchen everyone can use. You would be sharing the bathroom with only one other person as everyone else has their own en-suite. All the common area in the house are cleaned weekly by a cleaner so there is even less work for you. Smoking only allowed outside. The room is located very conveniently. It is only a 5 min walk to Petersham station from where you can get the the city in less then 15 min and a 5-10 min walk to paramatta road where many bus routes run. The room is nestled away in a side street so its nice and quiet and you cant hear the noisy from major roads or trains. If you would like to come for an inspection sometime or have any questions please get in touch via flatmates or sms (no phone calls please). I look forward to hearing from you.
I am a USYD psychology student from regional Sydney looking for a place to call home closer to uni. I'm friendly, tidy, and accepting of everyone I love books and animals and spending time outdoors. Although I don't have any pets of my own, if my flatmates have pets I'd be very pleased.
Hello! I'm Abby, a student/full time worker from Wollongong. I've recently gotten the ole' adult job and it's time that I pack and move into the city so I'm looking for a new home! I'm super easy going, love a good netflix binge and don't mind a bevvie (especially if it is paired with the footy or ripper chat). In my spare time you'll find me outside in ~nature~, cooking badly or listening to some sweet sweet music. I've lived in sharehouses for many many years now so I've learnt the rules and promise to not to be a dickhead. If you have a room that suits please message me, I'd be keen to meet any exisiting housemates to make sure we all get on like a big happy fam. Cheers!
Hiya! I'm a soon to be forensic science honours graduate looking for a place a bit further out of the city than where I currently live (Newtown). I'm an open, straightforward person, I am also generally quiet and keep to myself, but do not shy away from socialising. I pole dance for fitness and I have a portable pole I can bring if you'll allow it! Keen to find a place which is more modern than where I currently live, and with a bit more space (can fit a double bed, wardrobe and desk easily).
Hi there! My name is Marie and I am looking for a new place to live. I have been living in a lovely little apartment in Coogee for the last six years. The owner has decided to renovate and I am very sad to leave but excited about finding a new home and meeting some new people. I work as a professional musician and a voice teacher. I also direct a choir. I love music and I love my profession. But don't worry! I won't be practising all the time and driving you crazy. I can practice my instrument at work if it is a bother at home. I am interested in getting to know people and am looking for a living situation where housemates can become friends. I also like my me time and am respectful of others personal space. My interests...I like to go salsa dancing and out to see live music. I enjoy the beach. I love cinema and will happily discuss film for as long as you like lol and I'm not gonna lie, I love a good Netflix binge. I am interested in sustainability and ethical fashion. I am easy going and a good conversationalist. Please message me if you're interested in having a chat about possibly living together.
I’m easy going, kind, respectful and reliable! Kindness is number one! I would love to live with people that give off positive vibes and good energy! I also love hugs! But am obviously respectful of personal space. :) I can clean up after myself and am happy to share cleaning duties. I’m a community care worker, full time and I love my job! Love going to markets and going out for excellent tasty meals! Food is life! Looking forward to the future and moving in with some lovely people!
