Hi Everyone, I am 26, moved to Brisbane about a year ago due to work. I am originally from Melbourne but I have decided to stay in Brisbane for another couple of years. I am an engineer and work the usual office hours Monday to Friday. My current lease is ending Jan 19ish and naturally I am looking for a new place that I will enjoy living in with housemate/s who I will get along with. Preferably I would like to live with housemates of a similar age (mid to late 20s.) I am hoping to lock in a place for 2017 sooner rather than later. I am a sociable person, always enjoy meeting new people and expanding my network. I would prefer to stay with housemates that are similar to myself i.e. tidy, friendly, reliable and easy going. The type of people that I can have a drink with on the weekend. I don't mind housemates having friends over, just not if they are going to keep me awake in the graveyard hours of a weeknight. I generally like to be busy and productive doing things, very rarely will you find me wasting away in front of the TV. I clean up after myself and don't leave dirty dishes lying around. Although sharehouses, are what they are, I do try give somewhat more of a homely feel about the place. You will often find me in the kitchen cooking up something interesting. I do enjoy cooking, but at the same time kinda cbf cooking for one every night. Would be happy to share cooking with others (love Italian and asian food) I don't own any pets, however, I do like cats and dogs and wouldn't be against living with either. Interests: cooking, keeping active, bike riding, running, exploring and travel, herb garden, markets, new restaurants, reading, keeping busy, doing nothing, beach, nights on the town (not every weekend) I am currently trying to save for a house so would like to cap my rent expenses to around $180ish + bills per week. The house is an older queenslander located between Suncorp stadium and near the top end of Caxton Street. It's a 2 min walk to the barracks which has a coles and a 15-20 min walk to the City and Southbank. House has a wrap-around balcony ( gets cool breeze in the afternoon) as well as a small garden area out the back. Both are good for entertaining or having a few drinks with your fellow housemates. There are fans in most rooms as well as a air-conditioning unit in the living room. Bills and internet are not included in the rent and are split 3 ways.
