It is a beautiful apartment of the first floor. 1. The room (bedroom 3) is very spacious with its size being 3.0 x 3.6m. It is fully furnished with a single bed, tall boy, bedside unit, built in wardrobe, mirror, blind, sheet curtain and thermal curtains (so it nice and warm during the Queanbeyan winter) - (bed linen not included). 2. Secure underground car park, which protect it from rough weather conditions (this is a big saving in the winter - you don't have to wipe the frost of your windshield every morning) 3. NBN wifi and water included in the rent The apartment is in the most convenient place in Queanbeyan - 1 minute walk to Aldi and Woolworths - 2 minute walk to the bus station (for buses to Canberra) - 3 minute walk to Riverside Plaza (all the main shops are there) - 5 minute walk to the Queanbeyan Main Street with restaurants, pubs, bars and shops in abundance 5. I've listed the room as females only, as I will be leaving the apartment in August 2019 for a year; then it will become a female-only apartment.
Double glazed windows, air conditioning unit, internal gas bayonet point for gas heating, NBN and foxtel connection available, off street secure underground parking space. Water and sewer bills will be included in the rent. Apartment is furnished but I am flexible in moving unwanted furniture. Message me for an inspection or for more information.
I'm an easy going guy who is tidy, easy to get along with and always up for a good chat, but also enjoy quiet time to focus on study/reading etc. I'm originally from Mount Gambier in country SA, and first came to Canberra in 2016 to attend the ANU. I've been in Japan for the past year and a half on exchange and am currently doing an internship in Hiroshima. In my downtime, I like to cook, travel, game and chill with my mates. I'm looking for either an established sharehouse, or some people who are looking to set one up in the Canberra area from the end of June/early July.
Available 25th May. Furnished room available in a 2 bedroom, 1 shared bathroom, well-furnished townhouse. In a great location in the centre of Queanbeyan. Walking distance to hospital, shops, bus stop and train station and a short drive to most of Canberra. Room comes with single bed, bedside table, dressing table, tallboy and built in wardrobe.
I’m an easy going guy. Very respectful, while I’m totally happy to live in my bedroom, and have little interaction with my housemates, I prefer to all be sociable, and friends. I have been a chef so I love to cook for my housemates, I also have high living standards, and cleanliness is essential. Happy to live with all sorts, and love meeting new people. I just completed university and I am starting work in mental health in Queanbeyan, so I will be pretty busy with work, and will be working some weekends. I don’t smoke or drink I’m pretty lame like that. I really just enjoying playing video games, going out for tea, travelling, and Netflix. I am financially stable, can provide police checks, references, and proof of income.
Hi! I'm Naomi, a recent uni graduate looking find a sunny, warm "home-y" place in Canberra, looking for part-time work, possibly with volunteering in the meantime. I'm hoping to live with around 2 flatmates of any age, although this is flexible- I enjoy talking and being around other people, but also need moments of quiet in my own space. I'm a bit of an old soul, a "twenty-something grandma" who loves dressmaking, movies, basic photography, sewing, craft, reading and am a decent cook. I love to share food that I've made- expect regular brownies, muesli bars and homemade bread. I'm vegetarian, but am happy to adapt recipes to be GF, vegan, DF, and respect your choices (food and otherwise). I don't smoke, take illicit drugs or drink, but am fine with others having the occasional glass of alcoholic something. I am not a fan at all of loud parties and/or lots of people though. I am quite mature for my age, always polite and always happy to listen if someone needs to talk or vent a little, or leave you some space. Housemates should work together like a family. If adult life is being a bit more difficult due to mental illness, recently arrived in Australia, chronic illness, disability, dire finances, being LGBTIQA+ or anything else, I will do my best to be accommodating and supportive, as I hope my flatmates would do for me. If you're having an absolutely awful day or three, I won't haggle you to do the dishes, but I expect that there will be some regular bathroom/kitchen/communal spaces cleaning arrangement where everyone does a little bit, so we can all enjoy a clean and tidy space. I am definitely on the neat side, but not inflexible. And if you have pets, that's great since I like animals, especially dogs. If I'm at home while you're out or at work, I'm happy to keep an eye on them and give them love. Please note that my desired rent per week as on my profile, is fairly flexible. Being close to the shops and public transport to get around (Action buses, the tram) is a must for me, as well as decent heating or thermal stability to get through the winter. I would prefer a place on the ground floor, or with minimal steps. Looking forward to meeting you!
I'm a public servant looking for a place to call home for me and my cat. I'm a non-smoker and would like to share with someone who doesn't smoke. This includes outdoor smokers, smokers who are quitting, 420ers and social smokers who smoke with friends when they visit. This is very important to me. Please do not contact me if you smoke. I'm looking for somewhere in the ACT that's no more than 45 mins to the city on the bus or Tram. I'm hoping to find somewhere warm for the winter months ahead. Some good stuff: I'm not a party person and tend to keep quiet and friendly around the home. I'm a second-hand book store and tea-chat kind of person. I also like walks, baking cakes and overgrown gardens. I'm tidy and will keep the house fresh and clean. On the weekends I do my best to get out of the house to catch up on some studies, find a quite space to read and check out Canberra's music and art scene. My household pet peeves are food and dirty dishes left in sinks overnight and grimy, dirty or dusty floors. I like my pad dust, ( human and pet) hair and crawlie free. I am a Queensland ring-in so this chilly weather is keeping me on my toes! I haven't used the heater yet- yeah! But let's chat about heating and wot-nots before we to come those really cold days :D. George, my cat is cool. He's chill and friendly. He's not great with other pets, which makes this process a lot more difficult, but he settles in easily. He's indoor / outdoor but he's only outdoors for a few hours a day. Houses, townhouses, first floor or ground floor apartments would be ok with us! ( Although we might grow accustomed to something higher. Apologies but I'm not keen on living with a large family or with young children. And, no smokers... Cheers, Rose
Hey, looking for a flat mate for a bit of company. I’m definitely pet friendly, looking at getting a golden retriever myself. I work at Brindabella Business Park so happy to organise a drop off pick up schedule if you also work around that area. Pretty flexible with living conditions. Lastly, I’m a great cook so you could expect some pretty sweet tasting meals😊😊😊 Happy to chat further. Nick
Hi, I'm Bill. I'm moving back down to Canberra to be closer to work. I studied my degree at ANU and now I work in regenerative agriculture at The Mulloon Institute - a charity based on a farm outside of Bungendore. Most days I work from home on the internet so I'll need a place with quality, reliable internet and convenient access to libraries. In my spare time I do environmental activism or get out bushwalking. I'd like to bring my dog with me to live but will look into places where I can't have her as well.
