Hi, moving to Canberra from the country for a lifestyle change. Professionally i am in the Electrical and Instrumentation trades, and have secured a job in Canberra, but just need a place to hang my hat to learn the city, trial the job and if all goes well, move up with my family. Outside of work, i am an avid musician and play in a working band (Based out of Cooma with gigs in Canberra and other country areas), playing guitar and piano. My real passion lies here, and another huge part of why id like to be closer or in a city! I am pretty easy to get along with, i am quiet, conscientious and clean up after myself - no problems helping out around the place if need be. Most of the time outside of work hours, if i am not studying or practicing (unplugged) music, i will be out exploring the city, or heading back home for the weekend
All bills are included in the rent. Air conditioned and heated main living areas Unlimited Hot water System Rent includes a CLEANER once per week. In-complex parking Internet included Central location- 20 min drive to City, Woden and Tuggeranong
The house is pretty large, wooden floors all throughout and very spacious with heaps of storage Kitchen is big with gas cook tops & has a dishwasher House is fully furnished apart from a washing machine which I hope to get soon (or if you have one that’d be great) Great backyard with veggie garden and covered entertaining area & large garage I have a 6 year old staffy cross named Lila ! She’s a sweetheart with humans but isn’t so good around other dogs unfortunately so you have to be pet-less 😞 She can be however quite boisterous at times so I need someone who is confident around dogs! The blue room (which you are welcome to paint) comes with a built in wardrobe however the white room only has a moveable wire clothes rack (Both rooms have curtain rods but you will need to get curtains) 15 min drive to Canberra city and bus route is less than a two min walk & goes to both Woden and Canberra city ! Happy for a couple to move into one room but rent will still be split three ways
Hello I'm Jem! I'm quiet, honest, easy to talk to and very respectful. I also absolutely love meeting new people! I have a friendly calm 7 y.o cat who does his own thing, has never attacked scratched or bitten anyone ever, however he does not get along with other animals at all. I know how to take care of myself and how to take care of a home, I have lived by myself for 2 years and out of home since I was 17, I am very clean and tidy and always willing to chip in with anything that needs to be done. I enjoy creative things, I love gardening reading writing hiking and drawing but also love to binge watch Netflix or weird documentaries with a cheeky glass of wine. I don't party I just want a nice place to call my own so I can work hard. I have all my own furniture and appliances so unfurnished is fine or I'm happy to bring along anything that might be needed Im also in the process of looking at a few 2-3 bedroom properties through real estates, I have some inspections coming up and if any of you are interesting in teaming up then just message me and you are welcome to come along I kind of need to find a place asap Feel free to message me any time :)
I’m Jack! I’m 20 and new to Canberra originally from the Coast. I’m working full time in Machinery Sales, 5 days a week. Very tidy person and would prefer a tidy house! Easy to get along with and love a chat! Like cars, Netflix and checking out Canberra! Somebody in their 20’s would be awesome 😊 Feel free to give me a call or send me a message and have a chat! Look forward to hearing from you!
I am very pedantic about keeping clean and consider myself introverted in that I need my own to space to think clearly and recharge! I am very fitness oriented, prefer the outdoors, and when inside I dedicate the majority of my time to studying financial literacy and creating music.
I'm a friendly, positive, laid back personality who respects others personal space. At the same time, I'm great company if you would like a chat. I love a good Netflix series but not really a fan of commercial tv. I love sport (more of a spectator these days) and don't mind watching it on the tv. I enjoy the odd bevvy, whether its after work or nibbles and drinks for a random and spontaneous celebration (just cos we can). I'm away from time to time, so there's the added advantage of having the place to yourself occasionally. I'm a fair and honest person and only expect the same in return. I like a clean, tidy house. When you use it put it back regime. Cook dinner, eat and then clean up. That kind of thing. Whilst I work in finance, I'm studying my Diploma in Beauty Therapy which I'll complete this June and yes I need someone to practice massages, facials etc on.
I am very accommodating when it comes to the level of interaction you want to have. I’m happy to have a chat and watch Netflix together or leave you to your own devices! I’m very clean, tidy, and organised. Pretty quiet and rarely have people around late at night. I work part time at Sanity and study full time at UC, I also do dance once a week. I’m currently looking for an available room or flat mates to start up our own sharehouse.
Hi there! I am a 23 year old young full time worker and mother of a 2 year old son. I am looking for a family friendly, and cat friendly place for us to call home. I work in woden full time monday through to friday. We keep to ourselves and spend alot of time with family and friends. We have all of our own furniture so we do not need any furniture of yours. We also have own washing machine and Nespresso machine which is a plus!
Hi, I have a fully furnished room (QS bed; cupboard; etc) for 1 person that is AVAILABLE from Sat 2 Mar 2019 (or possibly earlier) for up to 3 months. Enquiries welcome. NB: This is a non-smoking house and property. More furniture cannot be brought into the house - the house is fully furnished and well equipped. I am really happy to have short-term shares i.e. you might be looking for somewhere more suitable that will take your furniture but you need to move out of where you are staying. For short-term stays add another $20 a week to the weekly rent. For longer stays, we may have to work out the shared gas, electricity and water bills. The house is a RENOVATED WEATHERBOARD close to Queanbeyan CBD. There is a lovely garden and back deck. Gas heating and cooking and solar hot water (with a manual electric booster) and NBN limited wireless and 4G. There is on-street parking which is well lit and is time unlimited. There is public transport a short walk to town (less than 10 minutes) and Queanbeyan railway station is a 15 minute (or 25 minutes with a heavy backpack!) walk. And if you work in Canberra city, there is a park-and-ride just across the border in Fyshwick. Or if you are into cycling there is bicycle path into Canberra that swings past the park-and-ride. If you are staying longer than a few weeks, you've got to be willing to do your bit in the garden - THIS IS ESSENTIAL! OR you will need to pay to have someone do your bit. However, it should never get to that because between two it is less than onerous. Garden tasks are mostly sweeping the paths, deck, driveway and raking eucalyptus bark and leaves (once every few weeks) and occasional mowing and cutting back hideously invasive ivy. Do not hesitate to give me a hoy if you are in any way interested. Any references would be helpful but aren't essential. And I really do not care whether you are a 'professional' or not - used alone, I find the term pretentious :-) I am much happier knowing about your interests :-) rather than how you earn a living (and yes, I know they could be one and the same...). Queanbeyan is a well kept secret and a great place to live - this is from a born and bred Canberran. The house is a safe, short walk to town which has nice pubs and eateries and all the essential shops including a couple of excellent op-shops.
I’m 20 years old, and moving to Canberra from North Queensland. I currently work in a pub doing waitressing and bar work, and am studying building design. I like trying new things and enjoy reading, skating, and pretty much anything. Will binge watch netflix with you! (Or by myself) I am hoping to find people I can both live and be friends with. I’m fairly neat but I can deal with mess. I’m pretty social but also like time to myself and will totally respect your privacy :) I’m not really a big drinker due to lack of time, but will occasionally get on the piss and go all out (but don’t worry, I’m a quiet drunk when I need to be). I’m super flexible on where I live

Hey hey!! I'm an IT professional that loves a spot of banter and a good ol laugh! I At this stage, my general working hours are from 8 - 4 Monday - Friday, and weekends are usually taken up by NSWRFS. However these times could vary dependent of project work ect (shift work may be included however I'm not one to complain about too much noise) I am a quiet, responsible adult who likes to spend my downtime either at the gym, studying the latest and greatest IT developments, Playing Xbox, out puttering around on my Motorbike or even vegging out on the couch with Netflix. I am one to clean up after myself and even cook dinner (Winner, winner - chicken dinner)
Hello, we are a young couple looking for a flat were we have an easy commute to work and can also chill with our cat. We are both currently employed in the pet industry, me as a vet nurse and Sam as an assistant store manager in a pet shop. We own one cat, a very laid back, 10 year old, British Short Hair called Pushkin. She is fully vaccinated, up to date on flea and worming, and is strictly an indoor only cat. The reason we are moving out of our current flat is we don't have a kitchen, and we want to improve our lifestyles by cooking more. We are both into music but our instruments are practiced quietly so not to disturb anyone. We are quiet people and often work long hours, but we are also happy to have a chat if we run into you. We are preferably looking for a small flat (with a kitchen!), but we are also happy to share a house if the people are right. If you have anymore questions please let us know!
