I'm friendly, easy-going, conscientious, neat and tidy and pretty quiet. I work full time as a vet nurse, a job I absolutely love. In my spare time you'll find me relaxing, watching a movie or TV show, going to markets, out for dinner or walking my dog. I'm in no way a party animal, though I'm not opposed to a glass of wine or two. I like to keep a clean house and nothing annoys me more than people who can't clean up after themselves. I really have no huge preference to suburbs in Canberra. So yes, I have a dog. I also have two cats. Tommy is a 6yr old DSH who does nothing but sleep. Maxie is about 1.5yrs, also DSH. She's very sweet and a bit of a homebody. Roy is a small poodle mix, 7kg, about 1yr old, quite timid when he first meets people but a real character once he's happy and comfortable. The cats are outside during the day, inside at night and, being a vet nurse, I'm lucky enough to be able to take Roy with me to work every day! Both cats are litter trained and Roy is house trained. All three are up to date with vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. Can provide referees.

A bit about the house: The townhouse is very new and was built in 2012 (ish). It is a contemporary 3 bedroom townhouse split over 3 levels. It is part of a row of 6 townhouses in a relatively quiet and relaxed neighbourhood. The bottom level has a 2 car garage (shared on a rotating basis), the laundry and an outdoor courtyard with a clothes line. The Middle level has the kitchen with a living/dining area and a large balcony, perfect for entertaining. It has floorboards and is really easy to keep clean and tidy. It also has a small bathroom. The top level is where the 3 bedrooms are located with a main bathroom to share between bedrooms 2 & 3, and the master (which is my bedroom) has an ensuite. The whole top level is carpeted which helps keep things warm in the cold Canberra winter (except bathrooms). The house has ducted heating and cooling which is epically powerful. The house is fully furnished, except for the bedrooms which you would furnish yourself. However we are flexible and happy to make room if you have any furniture to contribute to the communal areas. About the Location: The house is in Crestwood which is the quiet/nicer area of Queanbeyan. It is right on the border of ACT and NSW. Only a 10 min drive to Brindabella Park and Fairbairn, and 15-20 minute drive to Russell. There are plenty of shops nearby in Queanbeyan, Majura and Fyshwick. The Canberra outlet centre (DFO) is a 6 minute drive with HEAPS of free parking. Canberra Centre is also only 15-20 minutes drive which has all your major department and fashion stores. So if you like shopping, you are definitely spoilt for choice. Rent & Bond: Rent is $166 based on the current arrangements. It includes water but other bills are split amongst the flatmates. Internet: We have 1TB ultrafast NBN with Telstra. FYI - You are welcome to either take 1 bedroom and share the bathroom with another flatmate, or take both bedrooms and have a bathroom to yourself as well as a spare room to yourself. The photos are from before we moved in a year ago so its before we furnished it.
Do you like unlimited internet, quiet roommates and ample parking space? If so, this house is for you! My name is Sarah and my partner and I have recently purchased our own little house and, lets be real, are now strapped for cash. We are hoping to find someone awesome to rent a room and live with us! Our home has all the mod-cons such as electricity and heating. You get your own room (happy to furnish it if you need), built in robe and bathroom! The house has 2 living areas so we can watch different netflix movies in separate rooms if you do not share an interest in comedy and scary movies. We plan to even do some small renovations to the home before you move in so it will be even more fresh and inviting! Our home is on a quiet cul de sac with amble off street parking and a car space in the garage you can use, if you would like. The age and gender of our roommate are not important but being clean and respectful is!
The room is the master bedroom, plus ensuite. It can be offered furnished or unfurinished. A car space in the garage is available if required. The house is fully air conditioned and heated, and I also have a cleaner who comes once a month. There is wifi internet and a home phone line available and these are covered in the rent.
Hi, I am an engineer by profession who is moving to Canberra from Dubai. I will be a full time employee with ACT Health and my workplace will be in Symonston therefore looking for an accommodation in a nearby area so I can walk or use Public transport to reach my workplace until I get a Car.
I'm a 23-year-old soon to be public health grad from Melbourne who will be working full-time from March 2018. I'm looking for housemates/share-house close to Forrest so I can cycle/walk/take public transport. Peter is 24, an audiologist who will be working on Northbourne Avenue. You can expect us to keep our area tidy and clean, contribute to our fair share of the housework and pay rent and bills on time. I love going to musicals, concerts, visiting art galleries and planning future holiday trips. I also enjoy visiting the cinema, exploring the bush/going on road trips whenever I can and spending quality time with friends and family. I plan to visit home often on weekends.
Hey there, I am Thomas. I grew up in Paris and studied Earth Sciences in both Paris and Zürich (five months). For the next three to four years I will be studying at the Research School of Earth Sciences of the ANU as a PhD candidate. I am definitely easy-going, love listening to music, enjoy meeting up and partying with friends as well as watching movies or playing games. Not the best cook, expect me to try, but success is not always there ! Most importantly I would say, always paying attention to others and ready to give a hand !
Hey there, I am Can Metan. I'll start my PhD in Computer Science very soon and I'm looking for a place to call home. I am a happy, squeaky clean and a trust-worthy guy. I quite enjoy cooking healthy meals and quite sociable in general. While we can share a glass of wine every now and then, I don't drink every week and I certainly don't smoke. I will be working a lot this year (likely to get a job besides PhD) and I would love to have a roomie that can pull his / her own weight. Looking forward to hear from you! PS: I love both dogs and cats (although I'm allergic to cats) and I would strongly prefer a smoke-free house.
I'm in my 20s and relocating from Sydney to Canberra for work commitment. I have slightly flexible of move in dates, i'll get to Canberra by 16th of July, and depending on how soon I can find the suitable accommodation, I'm happy to move in anytime from then :) I've always lived in a shared apartments with few flatmates from various nationality and backgrounds. With that being said I have full understanding regarding the importance of one's privacy, but also know well how to socialise and get along with others. I could be quite a neat freak and I always like to have a nice, clean and comfortable place to go back to after work, so yes I am a tidy person. I have lived in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney and now taking my time to explore what the capital city has to offer :) I may work a lot, but on my leisure time I do enjoy good movies, good foods and occasionally bake (when I really have all the time on hand!) and ofc enjoy good chats and hanging out from time to time, we are all human afterall :) I'm non-smokers and have no pets. Would prefer place that's also smoke free and no pets too.
Charming renovated house with backyard, 1 minute walk to Narrabundah shops and bus stop. You'd have a large bedroom with BIR, separate living spaces, fast internet, reverse-cycle air conditioner, carport, patio, garden, and shed for storage. The room is unfurnished and the house is fairly furnished (has room for some extra furniture). Electricity/internet bills are split depending on usage; two week bond and the need to inform the property manager of your details (do not need to go on the lease).
Im a 23 year old non-smoker; I'm moving down to Canberra from Sydney for a job and I am looking for a fun and relaxed share house to move into. I've lived in share houses before and love it; I have always ended up great friends with the people i lived with. I'm friendly and easy going and enjoy being social, love having a drink or two with housemates and friends. But am also respectful of peoples space and always clean up after myself. I finished my degree last year in Political Science and Economics and now am attempting to learn arabic just for fun. I dont have any pets but I love animals so I'm happy to live with them.
I'm an easy going tradie. Early riser to take my female Husky for morning walks. Outdoorsy kinda guy with a 4x4 Ute and a dirt bike. I can cook alright, keep to myself mostly, but like a good social drink and or a chat. Keep a clean room, but can put up with a bit for clutter. Love to try learn new things, and will also be getting back in to the gym once settled. Looking for a place for a minimum of 6 months for my pup and I.
My name is Mike, I'm originally from Toronto, Canada. I've been living in Australia for 4 years and received my Juris Doctor from UC - I graduated at the end of last year. I'm currently working in Kingston and would love to find a place close by. I'm easy going, mostly keep to myself, but don't mind a chat, tidy, respectful, reliable. Just an all round decent guy really haha kidding...but seriously.
Sun is a very passionate, friendly and genius person. She loves music, movie, arts as well as outdoor events. Sun is a super fan of coffee, cheese, and wine. She is also a foodie and love sharing her cooking with friends/ housemates. You can have a lot of fun to stay with her. You can also enjoy quietness as she devotes herself to develop her profession and concentrate on her study. Sun respects people, equal gender, and all nationalities. She prefers living with a non-smoking housemate who can keep the public area clean and tidy.
Hey everyone, I am an Architect from India and have recently moved to Australia. I am an easy going, fun loving guy. I like to socialise and listening to music in my free time. I intend to move to Canberra to look for a job there, will be needing the room for a couple of months.
Hey, I am a student completing my hospitality internship at The Hotel Kurrajong. Therefore, would be working part time. I am very easy going and fairly adjustable. I like to socialize but at the same time do my own thing. Really love to cook, play a few sports (cricket, football) and learning to play the guitar (New hobby :p). Would preferably look for an accommodation in south Canberra or city center as I do not have a vehicle or near a public transport stop for easy access. Cheers, Arvind
