Need some where mid to late February, Queanbeyan is my first choice as work locally, and don't have transport. Don't need parking. Non smoking house is a must. I won't be around too much. Clean and tidy (but not a fanatic). Love to cook. Happy to share bills etc. currently house sitting, owner coming back, timing is not urgent. I have some furniture, bedroom, table and chairs, currently in storage. I am happy go lucky and easy to get along with.
Currently on sickness benefits but need a place closer to public transport. Did rent a place for 23 years in Sydney but had to move due to health problems and never missed paying the rent. Nice quiet man who is very open minded. Non drinker I love to cook (and told I'm a good one) and would happily for my flatmate. Although I don't own one I love dogs and cats Can bring my Foxtel account with me.
Hi, I have a fully furnished room (QS bed; cupboard) for one person that is AVAILABLE from LATE FEB/EARLY MARCH. The maximum people in the house will be two i.e. me and you - there are only two bedrooms. No couples please as it is too 'squeezy'. I do not want more furniture brought into the house - the house is fully furnished and well equipped. Because of this I am happy to have short-term shares i.e. you might be looking for somewhere more suitable that will take your furniture but you need to move out of where you are staying. For less than 4 weeks add another $10 a week to the weekly rent. More than 4 weeks we then work out the shared gas, electricity and water bills. The house is a RENOVATED WEATHERBOARD close to Queanbeyan CBD. There is a lovely garden and back deck. Gas heating and cooking and solar hot water (with a manual electric booster) and NBN limited wireless and 4G. There is off-street parking for two smaller cars and on-street parking is time unlimited. There is public transport a short walk to town (less than 10 minutes) and Queanbeyan railway station is a 15 minute (or 25 minutes with a heavy backpack!) walk. And if you work in Canberra city, there is a park-and-ride just across the border in Fyshwick. Or if you are into cycling there is bicycle path into Canberra that swings past the park-and-ride. You've got to be willing to do your bit in the garden - THIS IS ESSENTIAL! OR you will need to pay to have someone do your bit. Garden tasks are mostly sweeping the paths, deck, driveway and raking eucalyptus bark and leaves (once a week) and occasional mowing and cutting back hideously invasive ivy. Between two it is less than onerous. You must be a clean and tidy person to live with and actually know how to clean (you'd be suprised...!). I prefer a vegetarian household - i.e. I do not eat meat, fish or poultry - but if you do eat meat then you are welcome to cook meat on the gas bbq that is undercover just outside the kitchen door. No animals/pets sorry even though I occasionally have my kelpie come and stay. So you will have to like dogs. She is quiet and well trained. Please do not hesitate to give me a hoy if you are in any way interested. Any references would be helpful. And I really do not care whether you are a 'professional' or not - used alone, I find the term pretentious :-) I am much happier knowing about your interests :-) rather than how you earn a living (and yes, I know they could be one and the same...). I play indoor soccer, run and cycle (as a transport option rather than for fun) and like to keep fit. If you want to know more about why I have a pic of a juvenile Thorny Devil on my middle finger then see my research topic at my uni open access web link at the Fenner School of Environment and Society by doing a Google search. Cheers, Juliana
Hi all, my name is Lawrence and I am moving to Canberra in mid January to begin work in early February. I am from Adelaide and graduate from mechanical engineering two years ago and I have been working full time since. I am also looking forward to exploring the national parks near Canberra. I would describe myself as neat and tidy. I like to get out of the house during the day time, but prefer to relax at home in the evenings.
I am tidy and clean and know how to share with others and keen to meet new people as I am kibi g to Canberra for work and have recently come out of a 5 year relationship and have 2 small dogs 🐕 with me
I am a late 20s full time professional who is transferring from a military career into consulting work with Accenture Australia. I am originally from the country and enjoy a variety of past times including Cycling, Boxing, Gym, Tinkering with my car or computer and drinking fancy beer. I am a bit of a techie but also love to debate over politics and world news or the latest netflix. I will admit I am not a incredibly funny or party loving person but I am reliable for just about anything that needs doing (like finding out why our net is out again and paying rent on time). I have an old listing on here but I need to update. Send me a message!

Quiet, private, single female. I work full time as a piano teacher at a studio and also have a part time work from home virtual assistant job. Happy to share cleaning and cooking duties though can't say how good my cooking is... :p Non smoker however I do have two German Shepherd x Husky pups. Both well socialised and have been through basic obedience school. They are now in training to become sled dogs and thus are exercised vigorously every day (so are always too tired to do much else but sleep at home haha). They are outside dogs only.
Hi I'm looking to rent a room while Im working in Canberra for a 3 month contract. I work pretty much 10 hours a day through the week and every 2nd weekend I'll be heading back to the coast to spend time with my wife and kids. I am very clean, tidy and respectful.
2 Females looking for accomodation. Can afford $540 fortnightly. We are social people but also very quiet and will tend to keep to ouselves. Friends may be over some times but very rarely. 1 female will be there for 3/7 days of the week, may be more or less.
I have lived out of home for the past four years, and always received excellent feedback after inspection - I am SUPER clean and tidy, and genuinely enjoy cleaning/gardening. I am very friendly, although I am currently in the final year of my PhD, so I haven't been particularly social lately! But I love a bit of housemate banter in the evenings (and mornings - I'm a morning person!) and would totally be up for weekend adventures if we're ever stuck for things to do. I love the outdoors, and am a keen trail runner, skiier, and swimmer. I'll be starting at Geoscience Australia at the beginning of February, but will be finishing off my PhD in my own time so will likely be fairly busy for the first few months. I'll also aim to be out and about exploring most weekends, and will become a regular at whatever are the best/closest farmers markets. I am vegan, and I LOVE to cook (and also bake). I love animals - I don't have any pets but would be more than happy to be a step-pet-mum for pets belonging to house mates. I do also enjoy a bit of a quiet laze around in front of the TV in the evenings.
Easy going, friendly girl, happy to socialise but also enjoys own space. Does Muay Thai - so if need be I can defend housemates from danger, haha! Likes to cook, physically active and has a fun job at the airport. I'm an excellent listener and most people confide in me :) Happy to live anywhere, main factor is that it fits within my budget.
I am looking to make the move from Sydney to Canberra. I prefer to be on my own, I'm generally quiet. I don't party hard so no worries there! I like to spend my time outside, so I'll need somewhere to park my car too.

Oaks Estate is a beautiful semi rural suburb on the outskirts of Canberra and Queanbeyan. We are on the edge of the Molongalo and Queanbeyan rivers, close to shops and pubs and an easy drive to Canberra. The house is a lovely, light filled, airy, spacious, 1960's Canberra double brick style. It is a fully furnished family home with a huge back yard with lots of large trees and veggie patch. The house works well and is very comfortable. It has a modern feel as well as many reto features including the original bathroom with it's lovely big bath. Although there is only one bathroom there are two toilets. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe and very friendly and the street is lovely with a small park, large gum trees and a great walk around the river. There is plenty of storage space for extra furniture if you want to bring some of your own and rearrange things. I have two rooms available, the larger is $240 and the smaller is $210, both are fully inclusive of bills.

If I can take find a a place with him he will stay with my family in Sydney. Looking for a house preferably or a team up with someone else to move in and find a place with!

Hi! I'm a 25yr old female moving down from QLD to Canberra to start work at the Canberra hospital in early January, and my boyfriend is late 20's working in the design field. We are quiet, respectful and tidy and have lived together for 3 years, and always had at least one roommate and gotten along well. We are down to earth and respectful of personal space, but also more than happy to hang out for a drink or check out events on the weekends. We are very independent and don't live in each other's pockets! Please let me know if you think you have something that could suit, time is of the essence!
Hi, my name is Lockie. I'm a 21 year old professional who's just finished at ANU and am moving out of student accommodation. I am a relaxed, friendly and independent person, who is tidy and respectful. I love talking about movies, as well as playing board games and video games (although I can't say I'm very good at either). I'm looking for long term accommodation in the Canberra region.
Hey all, I'm 22 and a recent graduate moving to Canberra in 2018 for a full time job. I'm fun, respectful, and happy to hang out but also enjoy my own space. I am looking to move in somewhere for at least 12 months with people who are social, relaxed, and fun to be around. Send me a message if you have any questions :)
I am a 29 yr old vet, who has recently moved to Canberra from Sydney. I love cooking and baking and sharing whatever I've made. I am always happy to sit and have a chat, but also respect the need for space. I clean up after myself and not opposed to doing whatever dishes there are in the sink. :)
Hi, I'm Catherine. I'm starting a new public service job in Canberra in early Feb so I'm looking for a new home. I'm from Melbourne, and am planning on heading up to the ACT late Jan, but can be flexible and come earlier if that works too. I like the outdoors and the snow, bushwalking and running and I'm looking forward to exploring some of the cafes around Canberra. I'm fairly quiet these days, I don't drink, so I'm not looking for a party house. However, I'd love a chat and a coffee with my housemates. I love cats, so if you have one that's a plus!
I'm friendly and open to new people, I keep clean and have a beautiful pup who I am training. I am busy with work and study so also spend time out of the way.
Hi mates, I'm moving from Sydney to start a graduate role with Department of Agriculture and Water Resources. - I'm laid back, clean, respectful and enjoy good balance of socialising and alone time. - Hobbies: Soccer, hiking, gaming, some TV shows/anime, hanging out with friends and riding my motor bike. -More than happy to contribute with furniture or whatever the house needs to make it more enjoyable for everyone. I'm moving to Canberra to work full-time. I’m very sociable and I love food, wine, sport and going out with friends but I also enjoy my downtime with a cup of tea and Netflix. I'm tidy, respectful and always pay rent on time.
Im a mature very clean quiet respectful tidy male who works for the government. Have worked in kitchens for many years previous so hygiene and good food are important to me. Like to look after myself but love a good wine with a meal.
I am a enthusiastic person who loves to socialize with new people. Nevertheless, I also understand personal space, and will not impose. I am a student of international relations and diplomacy and as such am interested in politics, human rights issues, etc. Before I started this Master I completed my Masters in History as well. So if you like to talk about medieval times, that is absolutely fine by me. Don't worry, I am capable of talking about other things as well. I am staying in Australia for 3 months to conduct an internship at the Belgian Embassy and hope to make some new friends while doing so. Greetings ;) Ine
