Hello! I am a US citizen, but I will be moving to Brisbane in January to attend UQ graduate school. I want to live close to the campus, and I also plan on working part time. I am very clean, I like to have fun, and I am very friendly.
I am an American who just accepted a post-doc position at UQ! I am looking for housing around UQ starting in late May 2017. I am interested in renting my own bedroom in a property with roommates in order to save money on accommodation and meet new people. I will be working full time, so I need a place that is close to work and near public transport. I am easy going, clean, and I enjoy reading, the outdoors, arts and crafts, and good food. I hope to find roommates to are older and also work full time. Please feel free to message if you have any questions!
This is a big spacious, fully furnished apartment and has everything you need to have an enjoyable experience. It is a convenient location and very modern apartment. Great study environment, very quiet and very comfortable. This is about a 5-10 minute walk to supermarket and buses to city and university of Queensland and trains are very close too. This apartment has everything you need to live in a bit of luxury while you study or work. I am looking for someone who is clean and tidy and very reliable and considerate. I just finished work at UQ for 10 years so I'm in the process of changing jobs. I am very busy with sports (tennis, golf, swimming, cycling and gym) and I like to cook, travel and listen to music (on my headphones). There have been a lot of people - mainly students who have rented here and all have had a great time. Bills are not included in the rent. Hot water and electricity bills come every 3 months and usually equate to about $10 per week, depending on usage.
My partner and I are looking for a short term rental between early - mid November and end of January. I work contract as an opera singer but also work in a restaurant during downtime. I also study part time online. I travel a lot for work. I love music (obviously), am a rather spiritual person and do like my own space, but also love a chat and sharing a good meal. Did I mention I love to cook? My partner, Ronnie, is Dutch out on a working holiday visa and is working extended part time hours as a tiler but a carpenter by profession. He is a social butterfly, connecting with all types of people for a chat (and often a beer) and is very good with his hands for all your "Mr Fixit" necessities.

Brisbane born, gentle giant, introvert but with a good sense of humour. Med-High level of cleanliness/tidiness, dependent on who i'm living with, I tend to match my fellow roommate's standards. Dishwasher is a necessity though! Super honest and tolerant. Currently living with some people in Kenmore, and the couple just got married, so are moving out. Moved in with them 4yrs ago, and we are now great friends :) I work part time from home, with a small Mobile Phone repair business. I refurbish phones for sale, and repair customers devices. This means I will have customers visiting the place to drop off, but only once or twice a day on average. I have my own doorbell, and I work in my bedroom. My current housemates have not had any problems with this, and I try to minimise the imposition as much as possible. Near cost price phone repair for fellow housemates is offered in return. :) I play tennis regularly, and volunteer at the tennis club too. Also play volleyball & golf occasionally and like trivia nights. I like playing my PlayStation too when I've got a good game, but I've got my own screen for my room. I like board games, movies, having a beer and chatting occasionally. I love animals, especially dogs (I don't have a pet though).

I'm looking for a place to stay in and around St Lucia for 2017, and I'm happy to team-up with someone cool to find a place together. I'm a 21 year old Finnish-Australian starting my BA at UQ in Term 1, 2017. I'm very social and laidback, and hence expect to get along with pretty much everybody. I'm usually more than likely to be happy to go out and have a fun time, but also respect others' boundaries and privacy. I believe in fairness and sharedness when it comes to common chores, but I'm not too uptight and hate arguing. I've lived in shared accommodation before, and have always had a good time. You can contact me for either a room, or to teamup. Hope to hear from you, and have a good day!
I am an Italian-American student coming on exchange to UQ for Semester 1 of 2017 from McGill University in Canada.
