About the property

The house is a post-war hardwood high-set with a lot of character. It’s not a polished modern build, but it’s solid, practical, and has a comfortable lived-in feel. I’ve been here for two years now and the landlord has been great—easy to communicate with, fair, and responsive when needed.

There’s a small yard and a beautiful shaded deck out the back where the Komado BBQ/smoker lives. It’s a great spot for a quiet morning coffee, dinner outside, or the occasional shared cook-up if that’s something you enjoy.

Under the house there’s a well-equipped home gym available to share, and overall the property has a relaxed, functional setup that supports day-to-day life without feeling crowded or chaotic.

The location is excellent—close to trains, buses, and other public transport options—so getting around is easy whether you drive or rely on transit.
It’s a place that suits someone who appreciates a home with a bit of history and charm rather than something perfectly new or clinical.

About the flatmates

I’m in my mid-50s, working full-time, and living a fairly relaxed and structured lifestyle. I’m clean, organised, and respectful of shared spaces and other people’s privacy.

I share the home with my dog — she’s calm, well-behaved, and past the high-energy puppy stage. She’s friendly but not intrusive, and spends most of her time relaxing or near me. So ideally you’re someone who’s comfortable living with a dog around.

Outside of work I enjoy music, cooking, and working on tech and creative projects, but I keep noise reasonable and use headphones when needed. I appreciate a calm, comfortable home — somewhere that feels welcoming rather than chaotic.

I’m friendly and easy to get along with, to share a chat or meal now and then, but I also respect personal space and don’t expect constant interaction.
Ideally looking for a flatmate who communicates well, pays rent on time, and keeps shared areas tidy. Someone mature, considerate, and reliable — basically someone who wants a peaceful, respectful living environment where everyone feels at ease.

If that sounds like a good fit, feel free to get in touch and tell me a little about yourself.
