However we have a tenant in our place who has a lease until mid-November. Work is moving more quickly with my transfer than we thought - hence we are hoping to put all our furniture into storage and hoping to get a comfortable place we can share in the meantime. Michael has the joy of being retired and so will be at home sometimes during the day. We are bringing a gorgeous bundle of fur - a 3 yo Maltese X called Buddy - who is very affectionate - and who you will instantly fall in love with him! He is used to being an inside dog - but happy to look at possibly maybe a laundry or separate area inside rather than bedroom - if needs be. Our moving date is yet to be finally confirmed but is likely to be in the second half of August 2019. We enjoy Netflix ... reading ... walking Buddy at the beach (not much chance of that in Mt Isa!). However we do enjoy spending weekend evenings together and occasional visits. We prefer to eat out, but if we do stay in - he’s lovely, and a man of few words. So you won’t even know we are there. I'm a very independent young lady, I cook, I clean, and I'm quiet and respectful of people's downtime and how precious it is. I'm interested in finding a safe, clean and fun place to live either alone or with other professionals. I would prefer unfurnished. I do have a small car and if parking is available that would be good, or I can accept safe street parking. Happy to have a glass of wine and plenty of laughs, not happy to have my stuff broken or stolen.
The rent that I ask is inclusive of (fair use) of all utilities for longer term stay. For shorter term stays specifically over holiday periods rate is available upon request. I am in 4017 Sandgate/Deagon border....our area has excellent infrastructure with easy access to the M1 North and South. I have a fully renovated post-war cottage on the Sandgate/Deagon border with a detached studio freestanding from the house and with it's own entrance and deck; 200 mtrs walk to train (Shorncliffe line); 12 mins walk to waterfront, kitesurfing etc. cafe's, boutique bars, markets, parks and local theatre (Town Hall) etc.. 30 min train into CBD with additional trains running during peak hours); 12 - 15 mins drive to Chermside; quick and easy access to the M1 North and South and approximately 15 mins drive to airport (train runs to airport however one changeover at Eagle Junction is necessary) and about similar to Nudgee, 20 mins to 'the other side' over the bridge, Redcliffe. 12 mins walk to Sandgate transport interchange, with trains and buses access. Drive into the CBD much depends upon traffic flow and the time that you leave home. 'Normal' flow would see you in the CBD in 25 mins. I am happy for tenants to use the full kitchen in the house if that is what you would like/require. Also happy to share a cuppa/tv/chat if that is what might suit your needs. I have 2 small terrier mix rescue pups who pretty much easily warm to people. They are indoor/outdoor pets in my house and are part of the family....they don't have unfettered access to the studio tho :-). I am not insistent on a length of stay commitment however I would appreciate 2 weeks notice to vacate if circumstances permit. All utilities and own bathroom ( all inclusive rent per week is $310.00 for the studio for stay over 3 weeks - (includes fair use of water, electricity, gas, linen and mowing for one; couples by negotiation). Short term stay: two nights (min) is $75.00/night; one week to three weeks attracts a 15% discount on the nightly rate; 4 weeks plus attracts a 25%discount on the nightly rate or by negotiation for individual applicants. Pets are by negotiation only. No smokers and no smoking anywhere on the premises. All guests must respect the right of all residents to quiet enjoyment of the premises. Rates may be negotiated on request. Day to day cleaning is up to you for stays in excess of one week. An exit clean charge is payable as you leave. Quiet street, wonderful neighbors, secure area. Area is mixed residential. Six raised garden beds in which you may plant your own vegies, fruit, herbs etc. References are required - from employer/previous accommodation. The property is big, big backyard, set up on a hill with views of the ocean, wooden floors & bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house which is great for privacy. There's also a spare room you can use for storage or a study.

The bus stops directly outside the house, we are a short walk / bus ride to the waterfront, swimming pools, parks, coffee shops, supermarket, fish and chips, organics store, train station etc. We're omnivores and do our best to live a green lifestyle. This place would suit someone that has an appreciation for nature. We only have one neighbour so the large back verandah is a great place to hang out amongst the trees and wildlife.
