I keep myself busy as an Art student while I work with photography and digital art mostly. 2018 is my third and final year, so I hope to have a small space where I can concentrate on my studies; otherwise, I make JCU campus my second home as it gives me access to advanced equipment. After I graduate, I'm hoping to move to Melbourne early 2019 (or late 2018) for a chance to extend my growing profession and passion as an artist. I'm a generous clean freak with an appreciation for those who recycle (I love recyclers when there's no yellow bin) and keep an active healthy lifestyle. I'm independent and love meeting new people, but I enjoy my downtime, so home will generally be a place where I can kick back and relax.
Im a very relaxed personality, and yet will approach u directly if i have an issue and expect the same. Respect others privacy fully! . My pets (2x dog &1x cat)are my fur babies, well behaved, inside/outside. 2 to 3 nights a fortnight i wont be home. Im crafty and experimental, open minded and semi intelligent. Have lived with wide age range and different personality types without issues. Happy to live anywhere above Innisfail and below Smithfield;0) From Victoria.
Hi! My name is Aiden, I'm a 23 year old student in my second year of Dental Surgery at JCU. I work casually as a Powerlifting Coach and Duty Manager for Event. I just finished up an 18 month lease in Trinity Beach, and looking for new accommodation for myself and my 18 month old, very well behaved Labrador, John - so therefore a backyard is a necessity. I have a bed, desk and general appliances which I'll be bringing with me. I own a ute that can park on the street, however a road motorcycle that will need to be parked off street. I'm clean, respectful and very good when it comes to privacy, communal cleaning and banter. I don't party often at all as my study, work and training schedule is very time consuming. For fun I like to be active, hanging out with mates, going to various waterfalls or even the beach. I'm looking for housemates who have the same respective traits. Feel free to contact me. Cheers.
A little about myself; i'm a 22 year old girl from Norway and I have lived in Cairns since february studying at JCU. I'm now looking for a new place to live in the Cairns region as i'm done with my bachelor degree and i'm now going to start working. I have lived in student housing with 6 other poeple over the last three years, and i have good experiences with shared housing. My strongest sides as a flat mate would be that i'm clean and tidy as well as i'm a typically positive person. Likes music, any outside adventures and cooking. Also, if you have any animals that's nothing but a big bonus! My vision/hope/dream is to move into a house with a chill atmosphere, and gain enough friendship with the people i live with to get in on all the inside jokes.
Heya! I'm an Aussie currently living between Cairns in Sunny Australia, Aarhus in Chilly Denmark & Bangalore in lovely India! From Sept 5 until December I'm going to be back at my desk working as a PhD Researcher at JCU & I need to find some short-term, semi-furnished accommodation in Cairns to rest my gypsy head. I need to keep my rental expenses under $200 as I'm on a scholarship & I'm without a car so good public transport is a must too. I absolutely adore animals but I'm hopelessly allergic to cats :( but I'm fine with pups & dogs! I'm currently working with transgender artists & activists around the globe as part of my PhD research, so I come with a bit of camera gear that I try to keep out of everyone's way. Mostly, I'm absorbed in my work at the moment, but I am easily (perhaps too easily) convinced to have a chat over a cup of coffee, a glass of wine or a beer! But I'm also a pretty easy-going roomie who doesn't mind when everyone needs their own space too. My full name is actually Victoria but after hating the name "Vicky" as a kid, I quickly became Viktor! ;) I'm an anthropologist/filmmaker/artist-geek who loves to roam & collect interesting people & stories along the way. Looking forward to a chat! V.x

I'm a full time online university student, and I work part time. Very easy going, I mostly keep to myself. I don't have transport, so ideally a location within walking distance to a bus stop. I had to put something in the preferred length of stay. I am looking for long term accommodation though, I would prefer to not have to move anytime soon.
My boyfriend & I have 1 furnished room (can be unfurnished) available in a new 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in North Point, Smithfield. 4 rooms will be occupied & 1 room is always spare for any visitors :) Our House is spacious enough to enjoy your privacy but also socialise with each other if you like! (When we’re eventually home at the same time that is!) We are walking distance to Smithfield shopping centre, close to JCU & the beach. 15min drive to the CBD. $150 per week includes rent, electricity, NBN wifi, gas cooking & fortnightly cleaner. Lovely, relaxed, social, fully furnished home 5mins walk to JCU and Public Transport. Close to shops and central to the northern beaches. Share with owner, another flatmate and a small de-sexed female dog. The property is located on a corner block, next to a park and has a mountain view.
My name is Grace and I am a young and vibrant university student. I am currently studying a bachelor of nursing science and spend most of my time studying on campus and at home. I have grown up in FNQ and love chasing secluded waterfalls and targeting barramundi in my spare time. I have never been late paying rent and appreciate a clean and tidy home. I am a non-smoker and don't come with any pets. I'm a bit of a nerd so no wild parties but I do enjoy having a few while cooking dinner and cleaning the house on a Saturday night. Thank you for your time and consideration. Warm Regards, Grace
This is a modern and privately located home overlooking the hills and only a 5 min drive to the beaches of Kewarra, Trinity Beach and Clifton Beach. Safe and secure in a quiet neighborhood and all the comforts of home that you could want. The home was only built two years ago so it is modern, comfortable and stylish. Spacious and airy open plan home provides comfort and a luxurious feel with its sleek interior and new appliances. There is a gorgeous back garden area for you to enjoy and relax as well as a spa/pool. The room is $200/week which Includes water and garden/pool maintenance. If you choose to use the air con then the extra charge is between $20 to $40; $20 if you use aircon ONLY at night to sleep and the higher end if you use it more. Our place is very open, cool and breezy so we hardly ever use aircon:) There is a master bedroom with en suite where Ivy and Isaac live. So you would only share the shower and toilet with the other person renting. The kitchen and lounge room are shared. There is a washing machine available to use. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, blender, dish washer, espresso machine, coffee press, large refrigerator, and all the dishes and utensils you would need to cook or bake.
Hi! I am 24 years old and have just moved up to Cairns from Sydney. I am originally from Ingham, Far Nth Qld, but have been living down in Canberra and Sydney for the past 4 years. I am an easy going, quiet, and clean person. I enjoy keeping on top of my health and fitness, a good book, beach days, and socialising with family and friends. Ideally looking to move into a room in an apartment complex such as Cairns One.
This house is close to everything you could possibly need and enjoy! With Smithfield Shopping Centre a 10minute walk away, James Cook University a 5minute drive away and the beaches within 10minute drive, what else could you ask for? You will have your own private room and bathroom in a fully furnished brand new 3 bedroom house. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe and is just a peaceful place to relax in. Netflix and Wifi also available. No pets sorry.
I'm a 32 year old Carpenter who just moved back to cairns from Perth (Originally from London though). I've been travelling for most of my twenties and I've lived in lots of different share houses before in England, Australia and Canada, haven't had any issues with housemates yet. I'm generally quite a neat/tidy person, I pay my rent on time by direct debit, I don’t leave dishes out and I don’t cook much so no mess in the kitchen! Part of my income comes from photography, so that's paying the bills till I find a new job here. Other than that, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink all that much, I’m more interested in doing active things around Cairns, like diving, hiking etc. Although after work I can also be a bit of a movie watching couch potato. Only issue is I’ve gotta get my adopted cat el stinko flown over from Perth in a few weeks. She doesn’t actually smell, its just the nickname my housemates gave her when we found her on the streets. She’s well behaved, occasionally will eat a pair of headphones but won’t cause damage or shed hair everywhere. Happy to pay a pet bond if needed, or send some cat pics over if you wanted to check her out. I'm looking to stay long term as I'll be applying for my permanent residency soon and staying put in Cairns after that. Let me know if you're interested and I’ll come take a look at your place! Thanks, John
26 y/o fine arts graduate originally from Melbourne now undertaking a science degree at JCU. Have a 9y/o pupper Laika (Lou) who is exceedingly friendly, affectionate and low energy so a secure yard is a must. When I’m not studying or sleeping I’m out on the reef or cleaning a beach. I don’t mind a bevvy or two with dinner or a game of footy but I’m definitely not looking for a party palace, me and doggo needs our beauty sleep. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME ABOUT PROPERTIES THAT ARE NOT PET FRIENDLY!
