I'm a 32 year old, relatively new to Australia been here about 1.5 years now. Been with a mate and now he has to move to Sydney for his job, so i’m looking for a place for myself may be with some potential mates with easy access to Glenroy. I'm generally a quiet and a tidy person. Can get loud and noisy on request or at times :) Would love a occasional beer and a movie night. I have a full time job and interested in traveling, movies, and hiking and little bit adventure.
Hello We are a quiet, clean, tidy and friendly couple looking for a cozy and comfortable room in a quiet place. Thanks.
Hi! My name is Vinodh, but please feel free to call me Vin. ABOUT ME I am 30 years old and work as an IT web development tester and as a bartender; I graduated in mechanical engineering after school but am looking for my true calling. I was born in Sri Lanka but have been a Melbournian since I was 3 years old - love this place! - and grew up in Essendon, Tullamarine, Sydenham areas. My main love at the moment is attending meditation classes and assisting/volunteering at the center. I was recently studying some online subjects - sustainability and marketing - in my spare time and I look forward to studying subjects like psychology, philosophy, even astronomy, in the future. I love catching up with friends as often as possible; visiting the family regularly; and try to(!) keep fit and healthy by going to friend's crossfit class. I do enjoy my footy (AFL) - go Bombers! - and try to go to my team's games as often as possible; I am pretty open to all sports. I enjoy a good documentary, movie, and television series (love Game of Thrones) and staying abreast of world news. Also enjoy visiting a gallery, going to the beach or for walk in nature, or going to a random local music gig, when I can. I am pretty open to different things and really enjoy trying something new. I am pretty easy going, open minded and broad in my preferences. Really important to me is respecting each person's individuality and their preferences. WORK AND LIFESTYLE I work business hours in the web tester job and work in the afternoon/evenings for the bar job with the latest shift finishing at midnight. Afterwork (weekday), I like to attend any meditation classes, or I do some exercise, and I usually unwind at home by watching TV, browsing the internet, or reading. On the weekend, I like to catch up with with friends and family and attend any meditation events - all when I am not working at the wine bar. It's hard for me to accept sometimes, but I think my party days are over (haha!) but I still enjoy the odd night out. LIVING WITH OTHERS I am definitely not looking for a party house, just a warm, friendly and homely environment to live with friends. With respect to living with others, it is really important to me to perform my share of cleaning duties, in order to keep a functioning and livable home. I like to keep a clean house and am happy to accommodate to any standard. I enjoy having a laugh with my housemate over a tea/coffee/beer/wine, sharing a meal together, and/or chilling watching some TV/movie etc. when it suits, but I understand that people have their own lives, and like to respect other's personal time and needs. I am looking for a friendly, easy going, honest person(s) with a positive attitude, and is reliable by paying rent & bills on time. I would like someone who is generally clean and tidy and knows when to pitch-in with cleaning duties. Similar interests is nice but not essential, but I do prefer people with like-minded values. I am happy to share with a professional or student, male or female, and am not concerned about your age or personal preferences. BUDGET, LENGTH OF STAY, AND MOVING DATE I need to move out of my current residence in Essendon by April 20, but would ideally like to by the end of the Easter long weekend. My budget is anywhere between $100-200 per week. I would prefer it be as low as possible and probably upto and including $160-170 per week (approx upto $750 per calendar month). I have entered a slightly higher budget primarily just to keep my options open, but would prefer lower. Ideally I would like to find a residence for a medium to long term period - ideally 6 months plus. (I have entered 6 weeks in the information above as a minimum stay) FOOD SHARING As described previously I enjoy having a drink with my housemate on occasion and sharing a meal together to socialise and to create a nice and warm home. In general though, I would prefer to organise my own food, primarily because I am pretty relaxed with what I eat and am not the greatest cook (haha!). With respect to food, I am happy to accommodate for the practices of the house which I am moving into. I am happy to share the common things (salt, oil, etc.) and am happy to pay my share and/or purchase the items when needed. I am also pretty cool with just buying my own things too like the salt, oil etc. - just let me know what your preference is. FURNITURE BEDROOM AND HOUSE With regards to furniture, I do own the following for own room (but am happy to sell some or all of these items if the room is partially/fully furnished): - Double bed fram and mattress - Tall boy clothes drawer - Clothes cabinet (approx 1.8m x 1) - Student desk I also currently own the following furniture for the house which I am happy to bring into the house or sell prior to moving in if required: - Fridge Freezer (approx 480L) - 2 x 2.5 seat red fabric couches - very comfortable - Washing machine - front loader - BBQ OTHER INFO Yes (unfortunately) I do smoke cigarettes, approx two per day, but I do not smoke inside (always smoke outside). I would love to reduce this stuff honestly, therefore I am very open to not smoking outside home as well; if that's your preference, the extra motivation will help(!). I am very happy to not smoke near the house/apartment if that is preferred. Anyway, that's heaps about me hahaha! But please feel free to find out more. Look forward to hearing from you and hopefully enjoying a coffee/tea/beer/wine over a good chat and laugh with you shortly! Cheers, Vin

Dominique ist looking for work at the moment and likes to go out for a run. We'd like to stay around town for the next 6 month. We're both very tidy and clean, easy going, relaxed, quiet and don't like to party. We'd like to have a place where we can chill out after work. Starting a new job working full time as a speech pathologist in the northern suburbs, I like going to gigs, sharing a drink, making delicious brunches, drinking coffee, travelling (I've just come back from a 14 month trip so have lots of good stories), easygoing, not messy, keen to find housemates I can hang out with and have a good chat, but I've got my own stuff going on too :)
I'm easy going, like spending time with people but also on my own, I make a mean curry, enjoy cooking and drinking tea, watching West Wing, running and riding, and bring skills in cleaning and organising :)
Hi l'm Jo I am looking for a house to call a home. I'm an active bubbly person who is tidy, clean and respectful. I enjoy collecting collectables, cooking, music, movies, watching sport, gardening and oddly cleaning, won't lie love a nice clean house. My forte is cooking Italian food as l have a Italian background... I am looking for a place with like minded people that I can enjoy living and even have a glass of wine and dinner with if we are all home. I have shared a house in Broadmeadows for 10 years, and it's time for a new adventure in my life...
Hey, i'm post-graduate student from germany studying at unimelb. I'm in Melbourne as an exchange student and need a room for about 6 month. I consider myself to be a quite calm and laidback person. Not a party person but always available for a chat, hanging out or cooking and sharing a nice meal. I would say that i'm open minded and i am always happy to try something new. As a student i'd spent a lot of my time on campus so that it would be fairly easy for me to respect your privacy and keep things to myself if needed. Im tidy and clean and a little obsessed with keeping my room orderly. Love to do sports - did table tennis for 10 years and climbing- and am now looking for something new. Ideally my flatmates would be students at my age but i dont really mind if they arent.
Hey guys! How are you doing? My name is Luis, I'm 26, Venezuelan, civil engineer, living in Melbourne for one year now, at the moment working mon-frid in the construction industry and studying a Diploma in Leadership two nights a week. I'm looking for a place to move in in about 3 weeks and I'm looking for something where I can socialize with the people that I'm living with, more than a place to only go to sleep and eat. This is something really important to me at the moment, I want to make some friends at home more than just live with some people that I'd never see. I'm pretty busy working and studying during the week, but I'd love to share time with the flatmates on the weekends over a meal, a party, some beers, a movie or whatever. I like to travel, hangout on weekends with the flatmates, enjoy a beer at home or whatever you plan. I'm open minded, always up to have a chat with the people that I'm living, easy going, clean and ordered (I like the places where everyone give a hand with the cleaning and housekeeping to keep the place clean and ordered as a home instead of a crazy dirty house). If I sound the kind of person you are looking for please send me a message or even if you'd like to know a bit more about me!
I'm Ash, I'm 24 turning 25 this year. I work at Melbourne airport and would like to live closer to work and the city. I'm fun, bubbly and social but also love my down time and own space. I'm clean, tidy and respectful. I am a shift worker so my hours are all over the place. Would much prefer a housemate/housemates who I can become good friends with, rather than living with a stranger and the only contact is hi and bye.
Hey! I'm looking for a place long term and can move in now/whenever! More about me: I'm a second year arts student at Melbourne Uni studying history and media. I'm busy throughout the week so I'll be in and out of the house quite often. I'm sociable but chill and love a good chat about anything really. Things I like: I'm a major film buff and like music and art. I like cooking (or trying to anyway). Gigs and pubs are my go to whenever I'm free. Other: I'm reliable and can pay rent/bills on time.
Hey guys! My name is Becca, I’m 27 (28 in August), I’m from Tassie originally but been in Melbourne since Feb 2015. I work a few different jobs: I’m an musician & artist, and self-employed voice coach, teaching technique for singing and speech (but mostly singing) 3 days a week. I work 1 day a week at Mork Chocolate Brewhouse in North Melbourne (from which I bring home tasty treats sometimes!), 2 nights a week at Open Studio in Northcote, am also currently applying for more/new jobs. I also model for life drawing classes and sometimes do other random odd jobs here and there. I'm super financially careful/stable despite being self employed and have never been late with rent or bills. I’m looking for a home, not just a house; I am a busy person who does my own thing a lot and has a lot of projects I’m working on, so I’m not wanting to live out of each other’s pockets, but I also want to have a place where we hang a bit in the communal areas in the evenings and chat about our days or talk shit, cook and eat together now and then, hang out in the sun on good days and have a beer. In my current house there isn’t much of a good shared lounge area and everyone just kind of lives in their rooms all the time and I am craving a little bit more of a casual family vibe. I don’t smoke, I’ve never been late on rent or bills, I like to be energy usage conscious though not anally-so, I like to try to be good to the environment. I’m great at cleaning and I’m house-proud; I am happiest when my place is looking clean and beautiful, I like indoor plants, sunshine, fresh air, and putting up art :) I’m often singing but I’m told I’m good at it, I like to put on loud music and dance around the house when I’m home alone or if someone wants to dance with, but am also very capable of quieting the fuck down when people need to sleep/concentrate. I’m silly, playful, and affectionate, but also a proper grown up. Ideally I’m looking for a place which has a sunroom/study/spare room/office where I would be able to set up my desk and teach my voice students from. I teach about 3 days a week, 5 hours maximum, finishing by 8pm at the latest (a lot of the time a lot less/earlier). Totally keen to make said teaching room also a shared art room and useable by anyone else at times when I’m not teaching! Or happy to pay a little extra rent for the use of the extra room. I've put $220 per week as max budget but I am really hoping to get less than that. I'm currently paying $200/week.
A bit about me :) I'm clean, tidy and pretty chilled girl and definitely enjoy quiet time to myself and in turn, completely respect others spaces. Butttttt I still love a good chat and would be keen to share a meal or two during the week and have a few drinks and what not (If that's your kind of thing!) more than happy to contribute to cleaning and cooking (if you do communal meals). I love traveling and am currently a workaholic trying to save for my next trip! I work two part time jobs, one with early starts a few days a week and the other with a few lateish finishes. I enjoy a good walk, run, and game of netball and am a also qualified fitness instructor (and soon to be PT) I love a good book, good movie, good music, good party and good food is practically what I live for. I like to lounge around and chill out or go out with friends when I have spare time but usually I'm working working working 😌
