Hi! I'm moving up to Darwin from Adelaide soon (I fly in on May-31) to start a job as a Government groundwater scientist. I'm a fairly typical late-20's guy - I enjoy all the usual things (the outdoors, travel, convos over drinks) plus less usual things like baseball, old books and old movies (B&W old). I've lived in Darwin before so I also have a pretty good existing friendship group up there. I'm looking to either move into an existing sharehouse or start one up. I've lived in sharehouses all over Australia so I know how to pull my weight and respect other's lives. A big part of my work is going to be doing fieldwork in the outback for periods of up to six weeks - so you'll have some extra space sometimes, too! Send me a message if you're keen or want to know anything else.
Currently living in Geraldton and looking to move up to Darwin by the end of June. I'll be working full time once I get there because I was lucky enough to get a transfer in my job. I'm a super chill girl and respect others' space, I'm very tidy and don't mind having a casual drink on weekends.
Hi, I have 1 Large bedroom with built in mirror slide robes, with your own spacious balcony and bathroom. There is off street covered parking at the rear of the property. The living area is fully furnished, along with outdoor furniture, and the bedroom has a queen size bed that can be removed in requested. A quite spot close to the City, markets and Mindil beach. I'm 39yrs construction professional, looking for a relaxed house-mate that has full time work and doesn't mind doing their bit around the house. Look forward to hearing from you, cheers.
It’s a 2 bedroom flat including the following: - 15-20 minute walk to the CBD - A nice balcony area overlooking parkland and greenery - Fully furnished bedroom - just bring your own mattress protector and bed linen - Unlimited broadband NBN and electricity included in rent - Fans & Air-Con - Apple TV & PS4
I have an awesome motorhome and I'm heading back to Darwin this dry season! This says alot. It says I'm well travelled, fun, independent, open-minded and have an awesome sense of humour. That said, I'm totally didactic because I'm also very responsible, mature, non-partyer (unless you count dancing around my bedroom haha), somewhat introverted and easy going. I'm into exploring (obviously), markets (attending as well as running stalls), photography, hiking, watching movies and chillaxing. I'm looking for a fully furnished room (with a desk would be a bonus) for myself and a place where Max the Motorhome can be plugged in occasionally (it has a trickle charger that sometimes needs minimal power). However, if the right place is unfurnished, I can furnish it. I prefer non-smoking homes with positive, easy going flatmates. Dogs, fish and birds are awesome but cats trigger my allergies. A pool or spa would be lovely, as would a location near a gym or outdoor park. A bath (a real sized one, not a tiny one for children and midgets) would be heaven with lots of greenery. Preferred location: within 30 mins drive of Darwin CBD. Date: at this stage, it will be around 3 June with lots of flexibility.
I’ve just moved up from Melbourne and looking for somewhere short/long term, but ideally long term. Furnished/unfurnished. I keep pretty busy - swimming, cooking, camping, music. Looking for like-minded people who enjoy a casual drink and a laugh at times, but who also appreciate a clean and chilled house. I’ll be away for work a couple of weeknights most weeks. :)
We're both clean and tidy, and respect people's privacy but also enjoy hanging out with other house-mates. We both like to cook delicious food that looks super fancy and hipster, but is actually quick and easy to make, e.g., last week I made eggplant and zucchini stacks with chilli brie and pepperoni, while Greg made a shredded sweet potato and kale salad with pomegranate seeds. And yes, we're THOSE people who brew our own kombucha / make saurkraut / make our own wooden spice rack, that sort of thing :P We both love animals and the outdoors - Greg is doing his PhD in evolutionary biology and I'm working for Conservation Volunteers. We spend every few weekends out exploring Kakadu, as my parents live out there too. We are moving in a few months, so looking for a place from now until mid-July.
Hi there! I’m Julie, a local Terratorian looking for a new home and a chill flatmate to share it with. I work full time in NT Government, am a morning person and enjoy an active lifestyle. I’m looking for a professional who would like to team up and sign a lease on a tidy apartment near or in Darwin city. I am clean, tidy and have lived in share accommodation for a few years and know the ropes. I do prefer to have a regular cleaner for basic house maintenance. I’m fairly social and would enjoy a friendly chat after work. I also enjoy time to myself, reading, painting and cooking. Shoot me a message if you think we’d get along!
Considerate, easy-going, open-minded, blunt and honest, active shiftworker. I'm a keen traveller and I don't like to be at home much but when I am, it's my haven. I love company but also appreciate my own space so happy to hang out sometimes but also do our own thing. I'm super clean, but my room is usually a mess however I ALWAYS maintain tidiness in the common areas and expect the same. As I'm moving from Sydney I would like a place with a spare room and a flatmate open to having friends/family staying occasionally. I do have a partner who I'd like to be able to stay sometimes but as he's not in Darwin it won't be every week. He's an ex-chef without a kitchen so this COULD be to your advantage... :D (I will also be staying at his place so you will have the place to yourself too). I don't have any myself but am happy to live with pets provided they're well-trained. One thing I won't budge on is you must be a non-smoker. I'm still umming and aahing about furniture and whether I should bring mine or not so will see what pops up (furnished or unfurnished). I do love reading though so would love to bring a bookshelf with stacks of books.... Ideally I'm looking for something with space and an outlook. It doesn't have to be a "view" as such but just open. A built-in is a must and the best air-conditioning available! :D My job starts on 16MAY so happy to do short term or stay the whole year, depending what comes up.
Hi all, I'm Victoria - a bit about me - 43 year old woman relocating to Darwin for work. I have three grown children who are all at university. I enjoy life, am easygoing and tidy by nature. I am an active person who enjoys hiking, swimming and the gym. On my down-time I like to read, cook and listen to music. I enjoy a social drink with friends. Non-smoker.
A furnished room is available in a spacious 3 bedroom apartment only minutes walk to the CBD. I am looking for someone to stay for a longer period rather than a week or two. You will be sharing the apartment with a 30 yo single, professional and easy-going male. The third bedroom is a spare, so there’s plenty of space to escape. You would have your own bathroom, and there’s a large balcony off of the lounge room to sit outside and enjoy the day. There’s also off-street parking and a pool in the complex. Looking to split rent, bills and associated costs down the middle. Internet and Netflix are also available if you are willing to pay for half. Happy to show you the place if you are interested.
