Room available for rent in an apartment in The Hill, just opposite Strezeleki lookout. Perfect location right in the middle of Bar Beach and Newcastle Beach. Close to Darby Street, The Junction, coastal walk, parks and beaches. The apartment faces the West, with a large balcony so you get the most amazing sunsets everyday and view over the whole of Newcastle! The room is medium sized with built in wardrobe with mirrored doors. The apartment is fully furnished although I would be open to additional furniture/decor. There is also a undercover car park available and a storage space.
Looking for a place close to the beach and all the other fun stuff in Newy. I'm 22, laid back, love being outdoors, especially if it involves the beach or hanging with friends. I'm usually up for anything. I look at flatting as a social opportunity, so I'd like to live with people who are a similar age and enjoy eachother's company. Finished studying in NZ last year and now work full time as a Civil Engineer. I'm very tidy and have lived out of home for the last 5 years. Matt
Hi everyone! My name is Zahra, I'm 19yrs old and I've been living in Newcastle slightly over 1 year now. I'm looking for a new house to call home, preferably around or under $150 but up to $200 a week. I have a 1.5yr old cat with me as well, his name is Kitty. He's super friendly, really loves new people and will almost definitely want to cuddle with his new housemates! I have a reliable income from my job at a local fruit and veg shop in Newcastle that I work at Mon-Fri and have been living in various share-house arrangements since I graduated high school in 2015 so I have plenty of experience sharing a home with others. I am a friendly, introverted girl; I like spending my time on the weekends doing my own thing in my room or getting other odd jobs done out and about. Despite my age I don't enjoy going out to pubs so I'm not someone you'll have to worry about coming home drunk when everyone's asleep or being loud. I do enjoy having a drink here and there, just pubs/clubs aren't my thing, I'd rather have it in the comfort of my own home with people I know. I'm a very clean person, I like to keep things tidy and am certainly capable of cooking, cleaning and looking after myself and my cat. I do not drive so I'd like to be in a location close to my job in Newcastle. Please contact me if I sound like a suitable housemate or you're interested in teaming up for a new place! Looking to move A.S.A.P.
Hi my name is Riley, I moved to Newcastle from New Zealand a couple of years ago and I currently work as a Structural Engineer. I'm currently exploring options as my long term house mate has bought his own place and is moving out. It's important to me that I'm living with people who I can spend time with on weeknights and during the weekends, as opposed to just 'living' with people who never see eachother. I'd ideally like to live with working professionals who don't party all the time but who enjoy socialising and don't mind the odd drink on the weekend. I'm tidy, easy to get along with and respectful of other people's space and privacy. I'm very active and enjoy being outdoors, going to the gym and chilling the beach. Any questions let me know
I'm a 21 year old freelance dancer and teacher in the Newcastle and Sydney area. (Don't be scared by the freelance part, I get a lot of work) I love being creative in all areas and am super environmentally conscious. I enjoy hanging out and being social, going out or hanging at home. But am very respectful of peoples space. I'm pretty tidy but am not going to act like a twat if you forget to clean some dishes. Just keen to be in a nice space with some sweet ol' vibes. Feel free to ask any questions!
Hey I’m Marley, looking to move into a clean place with like minded people. Love the beach, being outdoors walking, surfing. I am clean and tidy to live and study full time Occuptional Therapy at the uni. I also work casually. I am a social person and love live music and drinks although respect other people’s space and like my own space too! Cheers
Looking for a new spot I’m able to have my cat with me I’m a very easy going person working Park time and studying so I’m either in my room or at work Not a huge party goer if i am i always stay out, i enjoy cleaning so mess is never a problem Love to have a chat with housemates make some dinner for everyone but most of the time I’m a room dweller 😇
Hi my name is Tulio, I just moved from Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) to Newcastle this year. I am about to start my degree of Environmental Engineering in University of Newcastle in the end of July so I will be living here for at least 2.5 years. I am a very simple easy going person, collaborative and a few things that I like are physical activities, surfing, skating, yoga, meditation, art, playing the guitar, enjoy the nature, cooking and have good conversations.
My name is Sarah and I’m looking for a lovely place to live where everyone gets along and we all have a great time 😊 I study a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design at UON and have just moved off college. I originally come from a small country town in North West NSW, so I’m a country girl at heart 👩🏽🌾 I'm looking to live with like minded people who preferably are health conscious, enjoy yoga/exercise/gym, nice walks along the beach, casual brekky dates or cooking for one another, hanging out together, or occasionally going out if there comes the chance. I’m also very respectful of others space and privacy, as well as having that alone time for myself as well 🙃 I’m not the party type of girl, I don’t go out often and if I do it’s for casual cocktails with a couple of friends. I’m also a super clean freak, so I like to keep things looking nice, organised and fresh! ✨ So yeah, if you’d like to catch up for a chat or a coffee please get in contact with me! I would love to hear from you- especially if you feel like I’d fit into your lovely home 🙂
We are a nice Brazilian couple, who is looking for a quiet and happy place to live, but we enjoy party time. We love to make friends! Allan is studying a PhD at UON and I am looking for a a full-time job.
Hi! I’m Josh and I work full-time for the University of Newcastle in Student Communications. I’m exceptionally clean and tidy, and have spent most of my share-house life living with women and/or queer folk in general, so I tend to function at my best and most comfortable in a feminine environment (feminist home is a must). It’s aaaaaaall about respect. Looking for like-minded new friends who value both socialising and space Spare time is spent boxing, doing yoga, enjoying culture in Newcastle and caring for my two indoor guinea pigs (secure cage, cleaned twice weekly). They’d need a safe corner in a spare room, sunroom or just anywhere out of the way. I also come with a lot of plants, and most household furnishings. Ideally looking to team-up, but I can sell or store my stuff if necessary. If you’re down with this, drop me a message!
23 year old primary teacher. I'm open to a place with guys and gals, probably around the same age and who don't mind a drink on the weekend 😅 im a tidy person and super conscious of other peoples space. I’d love to have a place where we can hang out and chat but also not looking to live in one another’s pockets.
I am an energetic, positive, life loving 28 year old. I work hard, love to stay active, go to the gym and make great food. Cooking, reading, writing and the beach are essential to y existence and I am always working on becoming a better person everyday. I love all animals, coffee, wine and food. I have just moved to newcastle from port MAcquarie and haven't really made any friends yet so I wont have parties haha

I like going out but also I enjoy quite gatherings like going for a hike or going to the beach, and always in the mood for small talk, coffee or wine. enjoy cooking and eating healthy, new in the city.
Hi, I’m Jerome and I am looking to move closer to the beach in Newcastle. I currently work a full-time job in healthcare. I have lived out of home for eight years. As a tenant/housemate, I always clean up after myself and care for the property as if it were my own. In my spare time, I like to exercise, surf, eat fries and spend time with my friends. I enjoy living with people that are professional, positive and funny. Please feel free to get in touch if you have a room available or would like to team up. Jerome
I'm an archaeologist and I play ultimate frisbee which I'm sure are probably two things you don't come across very often. I'm a pretty laid back guy, like to listen to music, relax and watch TV, head to the gym and maybe with my move to Newcastle get to the beach a bit more. I've got a fair amount of bedroom furnishings, and a good TV setup (including sound system and Xbox). I'm moving from Sydney to Newcastle in the coming months for a new job opportunity, and am looking for a place. I've lived in my current house in Surry Hills for two years. I'm fairly flexible on when I move, somewhere in August/September is probably the best time! I'm mostly looking in the Newcastle CBD area at this stage. I'd like to find somewhere I can stay for at least 6 months to start off, with my preference being around a bit longer.
Hello! I’m moving to Newcastle for a year abroad. I’m from Sweden but I’ve been studying in Dundee, Scotland for the past two years. I’d love to find a place to live with fun people and a good location. I can be independent but I’m almost always up for doing something or going out. In my year here I’d love to explore Australia some more, improve my surfing and just have a good time.
This property is in the heart of the city close to restaurants , cafe's and minute walk to the beach. The property features 3 great size rooms separate lounge and dining areas. Large kitchen and modern bathroom , main bedroom has a large balcony over looking Cooks Hill. Walk 5 minutes to many cafes and restaraunts. Inspection a must.
We have been in a relationship for 2 and a half years after meeting in Kennys home country of Scotland. We are very easy going, polite friendly people. We're both very tidy and clean up after ourselves every time. We're moving to Newcastle as Melanie has lived here before relocating overseas, we enjoy playing some pool and going to the beach with friends and seeing local live music.
Double room available in a homely house right in the heart of the Newcastle CBD - Amazing value! I love living in Cooks Hill! Its close to everything and has a great vibe! The house is spacious - There is a decent sized lounge room, separate dining, separate laundry, kitchen, sunroom and courtyard out back. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. The house is relatively old (typical of Cooks Hill homes). Everything exciting is within walking distance including restaurants, bars, the museum, the art gallery, the library, gyms, pubs, clubs, the harbour, railway, buses, supermarkets and the beaches.
Ducted Air conditioning, large balcony overlooking Darby Street, Unlimited NBN internet and a friendly kitty named Ollie. In the heart of Cooks Hill close to shops, beach and public transport. A little too convenient when it comes to food/coffee options ;)
Terrace house with private courtyard style backyard, access to balcony shared with one other. Great location right in town within walking distance to the foreshore, beaches and Hunter st. Sharing bathroom with 2 others. Very spacious.
This flat is right in the heart of Darby st, with a monster outdoor area. Room has an inbuilt wardrobe with mirrored doors. Everything you need is in walking distance. There's only myself in the flat (32 year old male) I work full time, keep the place tidy and rarely get ruffled by anything. I have tried living with couples before in the flat, and it seems it's just a bit too cramped with three people. So I'm very sorry in advance to any couples enquiring.
A great unfurnished room in a clean, modern and tidy apartment. The room has air conditioning and a shared bathroom with one roomate. Whilst the room available is unfurnished it does have a built in mirrored wardrobe. However the rest of the apartment is fully furnished. The room has been fitted with a new carpet and blinds recently and has a large window overlooking our balcony onto Darby Street. We also have covered secure parking for you should you need this.
This cute 3 bedroom home is two blocks from Darby St. There is a yard at the rear of the property which has an avocado tree overhanging from the neighbours. It produces heaps of avos, so you can save for a mortgage or whatever. We haven’t yet set up internet and the house is unfurnished so bring what you like. On-street parking is ticketed but you can get an annual council permit for less than $100. There is air-conditioning in the living room. The bathroom has a bath, the bedrooms are a reasonable size (no built ins) and there will likely be a spare room for playing music/watching tv/or a degree of separation. Ideally looking for a non-smoker who loves dogs and respects those of us slaving 9-5 for the man! Not keen to have a party house, but happy to have a beer of a weekend. Would prefer someone enviro-conscious, but we do eat meat. LGBTQ+ friendly. $210 for a single, $300 for a couple on a 6 month lease with possibility to extend.

Top floor, breezy light filled unit with balcony in Cooks Hill. Super close to Darby St, public transport, University Hub, Library, Newcastle Town & the beach. Room has huge window & built in robe with mirrored doors. Unit balcony & bathroom/laundry will be renovated within next 12 months. Currently at $200 a week which includes unlimited wireless net, water & fortnightly cleaner ; fully furnished accommodation at your disposal (not the room). Its a good deal. email for more details, photos; to organise an inspection :) Balcony Mirrored robe Wireless Internet included Off street parking Fully furnished apartment Top floor unit
Hey there! Cheers for checking out my profile / bio. I am 24, currently seeking a room in a share house. (clearly...) I enjoy the beach, the gym, coffee, small amounts of video games and I produce electronic music (dont let this scare you, I am super respectful with the times I do this... I wont annoy you with it!) I am a laid back, open, honest, loyal and respectful person. I am super clean (I enjoy cleaning... but wont yell at you for making a mess :D) I love maintaining a lawn, so if you got one, it will look great! I dont mind living with animals! Not a party animal! I enjoy catching up with people, but the whole pub, club, outing scene is not my thing. So dont worry about me being a noisey bugger. Hit me up if you have any questions or think we could make something happen!
First year student at Newcastle uni! Looking for a place that’s clean and has closeby public transport options. I’m an easy going person who’s pretty much studying or gymming most of the day. I’d like my place to be a non party house, but would love to chill and hang with my roommates at times. If this fits what you’re looking for or have to offer hmu!
Hi I am a 38 yr old male. I'm mindful of others and very neat n tidy. Locating to Newcastle or surrounding areas for my job. Needing a place asap. Animal lover and don't mind if there are pets. I always pay bills on time and respectful when it comes to power usage and water. I am not into partying.
Hi, I'm looking for a room to rent in Newcastle for next semester at uni. I currently rent a room in Hamilton, but my lease ends in August and want to live somewhere else! I'm laid back, enjoy going to the gym, the beach, healthy cooking and a fit healthy lifestyle. Would like to find a place that has similar interests.. :)
Hello :) I am from Munich, Germany, studying in Austria, doing a semester abroad in Newcastle at UON studying film&media courses starting in July. I am looking for other people to share a flat with, or a flatshare which has a room available. I love to do all kinds of cultural things, anything music or art related, I'm calm as well as social, easygoing and respectful. I would love to find some nice people to live with! I am actually looking for a room until November, but for now, a place for a shorter time would be fine too. I don't know Newcastle well, but I'd like to live somewhere central near good transportation to UON.
My name is Nick. I’m 24 years old from Newcastle seeking a room to rent. I’m friendly, tidy, quiet but social, and active. I am employed and work full time. I like travelling, fitness, music, laughing, the beach, graphic design, photography and much more

Clean and tidy (ocd) Love a good laugh and sometimes a heart to heart conversation. Always share my lame but funny jokes and ideas. I like to fix things and dont mind gardening . I have a guniea pig and a turtle. I also drive a rav 4.
Very easy going. Busy working part-time and studying at UON. Third year studying a Bachelor of Speech Pathology Honours. Like to go out for dinner, have a drink and socialise on the weekends. Also like some down time and personal space. Extremely respectful, neat and tidy. I enjoy going for walks and hikes, working out at the gym, health and fitness, spiritual person (don't mind a bit of yoga and meditation every now and then), cooking (vegetarian and vegan), reading, and enjoy doing art in my down time. Live a pretty healthy and active lifestyle but also like to indulge now and then. Would love to meet some like minded people who I can potentially become great friends with! Much prefer a community and friendly home rather then a share house! Currently living on the Central Coast and looking to move closer to uni for the next few years and for a nice change. Unfortunately unable to move out until the start of August as I am having a surgery at the beginning of July and will need to be at home to recover for the month before I am able to move out.
Hi, I'm a full time law student who works in Sydney two days a week- so I'm super busy during semester! But I am always happy to have a chat and watch movies when time permits. I'm easy -going and like to relax when I'm not at uni or working, so somewhere with a calm atmosphere is ideally what I'm looking for- but I'm not opposed to the occasional wine :)
Hi, I'm currently moving from the Northern Territory to move closer to your Great Beaches. I'm currently working Security and enjoy the outdoors , camping , fishing and motor bike riding. I love cooking and pretty much enjoy Life. I'm easy going person, and clean and tidy. I'm looking for a place for a minimum of 3 to 6 months for me and my Dog Baxter. He is 11 years old and has a friendly nature to him. He is half Catahoulla and Bulmastiff a gentle giant. So I'm preferably looking for a house with a fence back yard.
Heya, I'm a full-time working dad (Monday-Friday for the government) to a quiet and polite 11 year old gal. My daughter is with me 6 nights a fortnight so I'm essentially looking for two rooms in a three bedroom house sharing with one other person, open to all options but a team-up would be cool (obviously in a 3 bedroom house you would be paying less but only sharing with 1.5 humans :)) - I already have wifi which is movable. I have two cats too who are quite friendly and are litter trained. Other than that I'm pretty chill, like a wine, the beach (am there a lot in summer), reading, and binge watching the odd tv series. I eat fairly healthy and don't mind what kind of diets people have. Only my car is messy - so you wouldn't be living with a slob :) I do smoke casually but always outside and it's pretty irregular. I have all the needed household items from toaster to a fridge and washing machine!
50 year old full time employed man, young at heart non-smoker and social drinker. Kids have grown up and left home, so as a single dad I am looking for a smaller place to call home. I am clean and tidy, easy to get along with and house trained. Looking for a share with one other, or a studio/granny flat for myself. Prefer Newcastle West, Newcastle, Newcastle East, Carrington, Hamilton, Cooks Hill, Merewether. Would prefer to live close to the CBD, and not the outer suburbs.
