Hi, my name is Whilhemina, and I’m currently searching for a room in a share house. I have moved from the Torres Strait to Townsville to further my studies, I have been living here for 3 years in a student program called IYMP which provides support and accommodation for students living away from home. I am currently studying Certificate III in Community Services and want to start a career in support worker.
Ideally, I’m seeking a long-term arrangement for up to a year. I’m a tidy, responsible, and fairly quiet person but enjoys the company of others when I get the chance to socialise. I value contributing to shared household duties as I have the experience living in shared homes and I understand the importance of respecting personal boundaries and keeping communal spaces clean.
Again I enjoy being social, I also appreciate my downtime at home. My interests include music, cooking traditional meals from the Torres Strait, walking, and hanging with friends. I’d love to share a space with housemates who have similar values or would respect mines. Financially, I’m stable as I receive independent youth allowance allowing me to comfortably manage rent.
I’m looking for a household that would also accommodate a child. My budget is $200-250 and I’m confident that my considerate and respectful nature would be a great fit.
