Hello, I am Mengchen a 23 year old graduate from ANU. I am working full time as Software Engineer now. I want to look for a shared house with a single room myself. I hope the Internet in the room is good and there is a at least off-street car park for my car.
I'm friendly, easy-going, conscientious, neat and tidy and pretty quiet. I work full time as a vet nurse, a job I absolutely love. In my spare time you'll find me relaxing, watching a movie or TV show, going to markets, out for dinner or walking my dog. I'm in no way a party animal, though I'm not opposed to a glass of wine or two. I like to keep a clean house and nothing annoys me more than people who can't clean up after themselves. I really have no huge preference to suburbs in Canberra. So yes, I have a dog. I also have two cats. Tommy is a 6yr old DSH who does nothing but sleep. Maxie is about 1.5yrs, also DSH. She's very sweet and a bit of a homebody. Roy is a small poodle mix, 7kg, about 1yr old, quite timid when he first meets people but a real character once he's happy and comfortable. The cats are outside during the day, inside at night and, being a vet nurse, I'm lucky enough to be able to take Roy with me to work every day! Both cats are litter trained and Roy is house trained. All three are up to date with vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. Can provide referees.
Hello! Somewhat new to Canberra (9 months) and absolutely love the tree change from Sydney. I am the travelling/adventure type so I tend to spend most weekends exploring. I also work in aviation so that keeps me fairly busy and not so "grounded". In between post-grad study and full-time work I can be quite a home body with adventures tailored to baking disasters, or simply giving in to a glass of red and take away. Would love to find a new place to share with people I can call friends and continue to explore the ACT and beyond! I would be open to leasing a property with others or moving into an existing residence. I do come with furniture and a lot of books - furniture being optional :) Looking forward to meeting you! Lea
Hello, I'm a recent public relations graduate currently doing bar work. I like to hang out and watch movies but love geeking it up on my computer as well. I love dogs but currently have no pets and like a good balance between being social and being lazy. Cheers!
I'm a quiet, tidy housemate who will happily join you for a board game, a chat or a Netflix marathon. I am currently studying a Masters of teacher librarianship and working as a casual teacher. I do have a young cat (1 year old) who can be hilarious and I'm sure would enjoy sharing with other pets. I am returning to Canberra, having lived there in 2015, after teaching in Western NSW.
Hi all, I'm looking for a share house in Canberra City or nearby. A little about myself: I previously studied my undergraduate degree in Canberra for four years, before more recently working abroad for the past few years. I am moving back to Canberra for full-time work in the public service and I'm also studying a grad program part-time. I've lived in a variety of different share houses, as well as independently over the past seven years... and according to Air Bnb reviews from hosts I've stayed with, I'm "respectful" and a "great conversationalist". If you'd like to know anything more about me, feel free to ask! Cheers, Charlene
Hi, my name is Fiona and I am relocating to Canberra from Sydney in less than 2 weeks to start a 12 month contract position. A little about me. I am a quiet, clean and tidy room mate who enjoys cooking, watching Netflix and just generally hanging out . Although I do enjoy being on my own, I will also be happy to share a meal and a wine or two. I am ideally looking for a place that is furnished or partially furnished, and even though I have no pets would be happy if you do. I am open to living in areas other than those I have mentioned, however as I don't drive need to be close to public transport and want to keep my commute to less than 45 minutes.
I recently turned 21, looking for a room to rent as my mum is selling her house roughly around August 17. I work full time and also have a bar job on the side which does involve late night/early mornings. Love spending time with friends and having quiet drinks. Cleaning is my thing so mess is not a problem and I am looking for a place that feels like home.
G'day there. Easy going Aussie guy with an awesome half sized kelpie (2 yr old) billy. He grew up and lived me in a pub that I was running recently so awesome around homes and people. I'm a rugby nut, Australias first openly gay 1st grade premiership coach . Moving from perth over to ACT to be back close to family and friends and to give the Canberra lifestyle a go. Will be working in hospitality and involved in rugby so won't be around much! Usually up most mornings to take Billy for a run and try to get out and about at some other time during the day so he (and I) get plenty of exercise. Love going for a few beers/dinner or just chilling at home over a bottle of red (don't mind cooking the odd meal for my roomies if we are all home and keen to catch up every now and then as well).
House proud, quiet, easy going and respectful of others privacy and need for peaceful household. Work shift work so either not around in the morning or night and most weekends. All my own furnishing in store interstate and won't be seeking them for a while.
29 year old public servant moving to Canberra for work, I am fairly quiet, clean and know the share house drill since my days at uni. Looking for a quiet place with some interesting people, I do not have a whole list of ideas in my mind as part of moving to a new city will mean my life will be pretty much a clean slate until I build some form of routine and social calendar. The only thing I am looking for is that the room is unfurnished as I have my own things.
Room to rent with two busy teachers in their 30's. Shared kitchen, dining and bathroom. Room can be furnished with a single bed and large TV or unfurnished if you wish. Utilities will be split three ways. Need to provide your own internet. We are in walking distance to Tuggeranong Hyperdome shopping Centre and Government Departments.

I'm an Electrician, excited to go travelling in approximately late 2018, and currently looking for a place to live anywhere in Canberra with a/some chilled out Canberran/s, who would enjoy the company of an easygoing me, and my super-awesome fox cross jack-russel terrier, named 'Beans'. If you like dogs, Beans will steal your heart and throw away the key! We'd love to share a place with a secure backyard, so Beans can play during the daytime while I work. It would be great if there are other dogs there to keep Beans company too. Cooking and sharing an occasional or even regular communal dinner is great fun - pasta is my specialty! BBQ'ing, or cooking/hanging out around the fire is also exciting - I have a little keg I made into a fire drum for doing exactly this. I enjoy company and making friends, so if you have guests visiting, I'm always good with being friendly, and will not be awkward or uninviting towards anyone. Beans will usually bark initially, but only takes a moment to calm down, and will not bite - he is even great with cats! My family and friends are in Canberra, so I will not to be a piece of furniture in the house, and Beans and I will often get out to visit them. Here's some hobbies/values/interests of mine: Camping, freediving/snorkelling and spearfishing, exploring, music (especially live!), PC gaming, quoting movies/Tv shows, real food, board/card games, whisky tasting, equality, indoor cricket, playing instruments, exploring theories and interesting ideas, and enjoying variety. Beans likes playing fetch/tug-of-war/tag, and getting tummy rubs, back scratches and chicken drumsticks. Hi! :)

Working various hours of the day so I'm not always home. I am currently working in Aged Care, as a carer. I am permanent part time with 60 plus hours rostered. This property is close driving distance to both Tuggeranong and Woden, with nice bike paths close by and a conveniently located bus stop which operates between Tuggeranong, Woden and Civic. It is also near to an internet exchange, and NBN is arriving at the property in September 2017. I am in the middle of a twelve month lease with the other two tenants which ends in six months, but my boyfriend has (unexpectedly) moved to Canberra and I'm leaving the property to move out with him. We are looking for a new tenant to sign on to the lease and replace me for the remainder which ends in the first week of February 2018 - 6 months with the possibility of on-going afterward. The house is furnished, but the room is not. Currently the room fits a queen bed, a desk and a bedside table (all pictured). The room also contains an in-built wardrobe. Very keen to get somebody soon - so get in contact if you're interested. Very important for you to check the property and get to know the current tenants to make sure you're a good fit.
WHO: I’m a full-time professional who is having to leave my current place in Ngunnawal as the owner has decided to sell. I’m quiet, independent and prefer to keep to myself, but I’m not unfriendly! I am happy for the occasional chat but I am most definitely not a party person. I’m clean, tidy and organised – when you see me around the house it will most likely be when I’m cooking or cleaning. I’m vegan, non-drinking and non-smoking (but don’t mind if you’re not), and I am queer-friendly and pet-friendly. WHAT: I’m looking for a tidy place that I can come home to after work and on weekends knowing I can relax in peace and quiet. Ideal housemates will be tidy, responsible, and considerate of others. I don’t mind if you drink/smoke/eat meat as long as there’s no smoking indoors or regular drunkenness, and you don’t pester me about my life choices. I have my own furniture and am hoping to fit a single bed, large chest of drawers, bookcase and desk in my room. I will also need somewhere to park my car and some space in the kitchen for the bit of kitchenware I have. Ideally I’m looking to pay around $150-$170pw (plus bills) but am willing to consider more for the right place. WHERE: Anywhere in Canberra really, so don’t be put off if your suburb isn’t in my preferred list. I currently work in Deakin but happy to commute from the right place. WHEN: I need to be out of my current place by 20 August, but hoping to move out 1 or 2 weeks earlier than that. HOW: If you would like to meet me and show me your place, please send me a message with a bit about yourself, the place and why you think I’d be a good fit, and we’ll go from there.
