ROOMS NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL OCTOBER 17. It's very close to the city, less than 20 minutes walk to the canberra centre or a 2 minute walk to the closest light rail stop. Also conveniently near the Duxton. The apartment has a huge sunny living space and balcony which looks onto the communal courtyard. There's also a reverse-cycle air-conditioner in this room. The communal spaces in the apartment are fully furnished, but with room for any additions you may have. The unit faces north and sits on the top floor of a smaller complex. The apartment comes with 2 tandem car spots, one of which is occupied by Lewis, leaving the other one up for grabs (first in, best dressed). Bedroom 3 does not have a built-in wardrobe but there is a free-standing wardrobe that comes free with the room (which we can get rid of, if that suits better). Additionally, the double bed and mattress can be purchased and left in the room for a one-time payment of $40.
(All photos are Real Estate photos from before we moved in, I'll take some updated ones and include a photo of the room soon). The available room is $240 per week (bills and unlimited internet additional). The three bedrooms are upstairs and the room up for offer has a built in wardrobe and is big enough to fit a queen bed. The bathroom is nice and new with a separate shower/bath and is shared with me (Lauren). The other housemate Grom has his own ensuite. Downstairs has a combined kitchen living area that opens onto the backyard, with a garage attached to the property and additional toilet. The house is mostly furnished (if you have a front loader washing machine or table and chairs that would be a bonus), but the bedroom comes unfurnished. Send me a message if you’re interested with a little about yourself. Any potential roommates will need to be reference checked and approved by the real estate to go on our lease.
Hi! I am a 34 year old professional who works full time in the city. I am looking for a decent sized room that will fit a double bed, preferably with an ensuite, and is nice and close to town. I am tidy, respectful and like my own space, but also friendly and laid back. My hobbies and interests include travel, arts, music and politics (sometimes). My days of renting rooms in dirt-cheap and 'interesting' / 'weird' / unlivable properties are behind me and finding somewhere sane with heating and other similarly functional housemates is my goal. Actual hair colour may be different than that in my profile pic.
Gorgeous backyard, outdoor setting, cute puppy to live with, the rest of the house is fully furnished (lucky you), two huge floor to ceiling wardrobes in the room available, amazing location, walking distance to O’Connor shops, local bars, restaurants and walking distance to the city and braddon.
Im a second year ANU student working full time in a bar in dickson. Im usually out and about but when i am home im happy to have a beer and a chat. Ive also got plenty of renting experience and am a clean and considerate housemate 😊
Toni, 23. I am a young working professional looking to relocate back to Canberra. Am easy going, friendly and tidy. In my spare time I love watching the footy, going bushwalking, meeting new people and I am often volunteering. Am looking for a room in Canberra, preferably north side but either is good for me. Am very chill and easy to get along with :)
I'm from Melbourne, moving to Canberra for a grad program in February 2020. I'm friendly, easygoing, tidy and independent. I'm happy doing my own thing but also hope to make new friends (as I don't know many people in Canberra), and am down to hang out/shared dinners/movies/bevs etc. I lived in a 12-person sharehouse in Switzerland for 6 months, so I'm used to sharing my space and contributing to chores etc., and enjoy living in a place where there is plenty going on (but also need my downtime). A bit about me: I love to travel, and have lived in France, Switzerland and Canada. I love animals (but am sadly allergic to cats) and sometimes look after Guide Dog puppies in training. I'm a keen skier and am looking forward to being close to the slopes in Canberra next year. I'm a non-smoker. I'm looking to find other young professionals or students to share a centrally located house or apartment in 2020. I hope to be able to cycle to work, so would like to be less than 7km from Parliament. Feel free to get in touch if you are also in the same boat! Cheers.
Hey friends, I'm a real chill laid-back person, but it takes a minute for me to open up to new people. I work at Questacon and love to play soccer and hangout with friends. I'm looking for a, sharehouse with some other chill people on the same uni journey as I am.
Hi! I am currently looking for a new place as my current lease is coming to an end. I would like to move somewhere in the inner-south / inner-north to be close to work. I work full-time as an environmental professional with the Public Service. I am easy going, respectful and clean, and am looking for somewhere with a homely feel to share with like mined people. Although my party days are behind me, I enjoy hanging out for a glass of wine and a movie. However, I am also respectful of other people’s privacy. I am an outdoor enthusiast and spend most of my weekends rock climbing, hiking, camping and mountain biking. I am also environmentally conscious and like to recycle and compost, and am hoping to find somewhere with good natural lighting and a garden. If you think I would be a good fit for your current share house, or you'd like to team up, send me a message!
i am a homeopath and have just relocated from melbourne. i am an avid cook, love gardening, drawing and music. i am a pretty private person and respect others space, but also am up for a chat and a good glass of red or two. i may be older, but my personality is definitely not one out of the box. oh and i am also very well house trained (as is my little white scaredy cat - jelly bean). just looking for a space to share with people that are possibly more creatively driven, people who have a good sense of humour, fun and adventure and who are not hung up on political correctness!
