This share house is one of the closest to UQ. Literally a 2 minute walk to Michie building in one direction, and 2 minutes to the IGA, ATM and a plethora of takeaway restaurants in the other. A 5 minute walk to the engineering building as well (I timed it). Unlike the other houses in this price range, we boast ample space and convenience you just can't beat. The unique split level layout allows 3 people to reside on each level, and the middle is dedicated living area. Even though there will be 5 other people in the house (total 6 single rooms), it doesn't feel crowded at all. There are 3 people to each bathroom (one on each level) and 2 fridges and a freezer to share. The kitchen is large and has a fantastic gas stove and plenty of bench space. A laundry is included as well with a washing machine and clothesline. We have a lovely front deck and a cute back patio to chill on. The living room is really large and has plenty of space to do your own thing and move stuff around. Our landlords are very respectable and nice, so easy to get along with or communicate any issues about the house. YOUR HOUSEMATES The house atmosphere is reflective of a relaxed Australian culture, but we still keep the house tidy, clean and respectful. Hey everyone!! Unfortunately my lovely roommate has to move back to Amsterdam so I am currently looking for a new roomie! The unit is ground level with a courtyard that connects straight on to the Brisbane River! It is right next to a local park that has a free community pizza oven you can book and use at any time. There's also a pool and BBQ area in the complex. It is an extremely safe and friendly area of Highgate Hill. Dudley St is right at the end of Boundary St in West End. Therefore, it's a 10-15 minute walk to all the cute cafes, shops and restaurants that Boundary St has to offer. It's about 15 minutes drive (20 minutes on public transport) to UQ and 10 (25 public transport) to QUT and the city. It's located right near the heart of the city, but the quiet area makes it feel like you are so far away. Your room has a cupboard to hang clothes, a double bed and a set of drawers. You have access to the main bathroom, while I use the ensuite. There are fans in all rooms of the house and an aircon in the living/dining/kitchen area.
