$400/week•22 year old man
I’m that roommate who keeps it clean, respectful, and professional. My days are spent grinding at work, hitting the gym, and diving into my hobbies—Chinese tea, history, and yes, Joe Rogan. When I’m not sipping tea or exploring ancient dynasties, you’ll find me staying active—whether it’s hiking or martial arts. Funny moment? I once tried to combine my passions: push-ups, Joe Rogan, tea, and a history book on Genghis Khan. Ended up spilling tea everywhere, but hey, at least it was a productive mess. Also fun fact, I’m dyslexic and have 3 kidneys If you’re looking for a calm, disciplined, and active roommate, I’m your guy. Also want find me throwing parties and staying up late.

Emily and Mini
$500/week•26-28 year old non-binary and woman
Hi! We’re Emily and Mini – a couple from the UK planning our move to Adelaide this August on a working holiday visa. We’re currently still in the UK (hello from a very grey England), but we’re getting organised and looking for a kind, comfy place to land when we arrive. We’re hoping to stay in Adelaide until just after Christmas – depending on how the job hunt and general vibes go – so we’re after a flexible-ish lease, just in case plans shift slightly. We’re happy to do FaceTime calls in the meantime, and we’ll be ready for viewings once we land on the 20th. There’s also a small chance a family member could view a place for us beforehand, but we’ll need to be selective with the favours we call in! A little about us: We’re friendly, kind, down-to-earth people who like a good laugh, care about others, and want a home that feels relaxed, respectful and welcoming. Mini’s the early bird who loves her mornings and is usually in bed by 9pm (with earphones in, so she won’t hear a thing), while Emily is more of a night owl, often crocheting or watching something cosy into the evening. We’re both sociable, but we also value quiet time and personal space – and we’re always respectful of others’ routines and boundaries. We’re vegetarians (but totally fine living with meat-eaters – no judgement here), and we like to keep our space clean and tidy. That said, we’re not neat freaks – sometimes the dishes sit for a bit, and when Emily’s cooking, creativity can take over the kitchen! But we always clean up after ourselves. Think: lived-in, not grim. We both enjoy reading, music, cycling, going for walks, board games, cosy nights in, exploring new places, and generally getting to know people and the world around us. Emily enjoys photography, crochet, singing (not loudly, we promise), cooking, cosy video games, and learning about anything and everything – especially culture, history, spirituality, psychology, and gentle activism. Mini enjoys videography, football (soccer to you down under), F1, running, relaxed gaming, TV, and heading out for food or a drink. She’s not big into partying, but will happily join in now and then if the vibe’s right. She’s also a drummer – but don’t worry, the drum kit’s staying at home! Work-wise, Emily’s background is in hospitality and educational event management, and Mini has worked for herself as a musician, vlogger and streamer. Once we land, we’ll be diving into job hunting (hospitality, retail – anywhere that’ll have us!) and hopefully getting to know Adelaide properly. What we’re looking for: * Shared or private accommodation – open to either * Furnished, as we’re travelling on a working holiday visa and won’t have anything with us * Ideally close to the beach and local amenities (shops, cafes, etc.) * Close to public transport – we won’t have a car to start with, though we might look into getting one depending on the vibe * Somewhere with a nice outdoor area to chill in * A bedroom with a private or nearby bathroom * A washing machine would be a big bonus * All bills + good WiFi included would be ideal * A chill, kind, respectful household – no wild party scenes, but small social gatherings are totally fine * Housemates who are clean-ish, thoughtful, open-minded, and up for chatting about anything and everything – we’d love to learn from each other * No children or teenagers in the house * We’d prefer a home without large or overly energetic pets, but we’re open to sharing with calm animals who keep to themselves and don’t overwhelm the space * And of course, as a queer couple, we’d love to live with people who are kind, inclusive and LGBTQIA+ friendly Thanks so much for reading! We’d love to hear from you if you think we’d be a good match – happy to FaceTime and answer any questions in the meantime. We’re really looking forward to finding a home that feels like a good fit for everyone.
