Hi potential future housemates. My name is Meg, and I'm a beginning teacher. I'm looking for a pet-friendly place to call home, preferably in the Belconnen area. About me: I'm a 28-year-old female. I'm vegetarian, but don't mind what you eat. I'm fairly left-wing and non-religious. My interests include art (mostly sculpting), walking and running, reading, writing, watching TV/movies, drinking tea, discussing politics/philosophy/the meaning of life, chilling with friends, outdoor adventures, board games, and experiencing new things. I'm starting out in my teaching career, and will probably be focussed on work over the next few months. I am fluent in Auslan (Australian Sign Language). I have a car and a motorbike. About my pets: (it sounds like a lot, but you'll only really see the dog) 1 Dog (young bichon frise) - Micky is a small, hypoallergenic (non-shedding) dog who will probably live with me part-time. He is young (8 months), and training is ongoing, but is friendly and loveable. He is an inside dog, and will need a dog door and a small yard. He is attending puppy school. He would probably love another dog for company, but I would have to see how he gets on with other pets before committing to a place. I have no idea how he would get on with a cat. 2 guinea pigs - Titian and Smudge are male guinea pigs. They live exclusively outdoors. They will need a semi-sheltered section of yard for their hutch. Beyond that, you won't notice they exist unless you choose to interact with them (in which case, they are quite cuddly). 3 cockatiels - I have three cockatiels that live in a movable cage. They are used to living indoors, but could be relocated to a sheltered outdoor area (such as a covered verandah). Cockatiels can be quite noisy. Again, you would not have to have any interaction with them unless you chose to. I'm looking for: A room, granny flat or studio in a place with a yard and a small dog door. I have a car, a motorbike and a pushbike. I'm happy for my car to be parked on-street, but would prefer my motorbike and pushbike to be out of sight of the road. I'm looking for laid-back housemates who are happy to hang-out occasionally and have a chat, but are also happy to do their own thing. My budget is up to $200/week, but would pay more if bills are included. If you're interested, you can contact me on *oh for to five nine three oh seven ate ate* (written this way so it's not picked up by spam bots).
$150 per week plus $25 on water, electricity and Internet Access (ADSL 2+) per week = 175 per week In Winter, we will split the heating cost from those who do not use hearing. Room include bed, mattress, desk, chair, study lamp, Built in robe and fan. Shared with two professional workers.
I recently moved back to Canberra from Sydney to be closer to my Dad. I'm a happily single, gainfully employed 48yo. I'm neat and tidy, clean up after myself and don't have wild parties as I find it takes far too long to recover :) I love good banter and am respectful of other's space. I have experience living in shared accomodation and am very easy-going. I'd prefer a place where I had my own bathroom/ensuite. Looking for a place in the Belconnen area it's close to my favourite haunts.

I am a clean and tidy, friendly, easy going, relaxed housemate that is just as happy to socialize as well as do my own thing. Looking for a new place to move in to as soon as possible for at least several months while I am trying to sell my house and buy a new one. I haven't rented for a while but I am always reliable with all rent and bills. I am a builder and have a ute and trailer that I need to be able to park safely and a few tools that I would like to store in the corner of a lock up garage if possible.
Price negotiable. Two bedroom north-facing unit will soon be available for rent on the corner of Springvale Drive and Bonrook Street, Hawker on the north side of Canberra (may be available earlier than the indicated date and I will update accordingly). As it will be mainly unfurnished the property would probably suit someone looking for a more long-term stay. The unit is in original condition. Carport. Lockup storage room. Washing machine fittings in bathroom for internal laundry. FOXTEL available. Phone jack outlet if you want to connect phone and Internet. You only pay for electricity and phone. Small balcony with nice views. Hawker shops which includes Woolworths, chemist, and newsagent, are just a couple of mins walk. Short drive to Belconnen mall. Only 15 mins drive to Canberra CBD. Small pets considered if okay for indoors. This is a place that offers convenience for a couple, small family or even a single (with or without small pets) looking to move straight into a rental where you can enjoy your own space and privacy. Happy to arrange an inspection. Message me if interested.

We enjoy outdoor activities like camping fishing and anything adventurous but we also like a good Netflix sesh. Board and card game nights also make for a good social night. Clean, friendly and responsible. Don't drink, smoke or use illegal drugs. Quite chill, and normally enjoys relaxing at home, or eating at nice places. I'm athletic and enjoy playing sports, and can handle a bit of garden work if wanted. I enjoy cooking, albeit not the greatest, but if asked, I will cook for everyone, and don't mind sharing a lot of my things.
I'm a very easy going student currently studying at ANU and working a retail job. I'm easy to get along with, and looking forward to living in a nice relaxed group environment. I tend to keep to myself most of the time, but I enjoy socialising as well. Always keen to play video games, board games, and I love horror movies, but I'm always happy to just chill.
Hi, I am moving to Canberra in April 2017 after living in Dubai for 14 years - very excited about settling in a new place! I love to have meaningful conversations, reading, learning new things, practicing Yoga and exploring nature. I am respectful of personal space, clean and organised. Professionally, I am a Training and Development specialist, on the look out for job opportunities. Looking for friendly and responsible housemates. Prefer a furnished room with own bathroom in a furnished house/flat and access to gas stove, washing machine, fridge and wifi internet.
Hi, I’m looking to join an existing sharehouse or start one. I’ve been lazily lurking here awhile to see what’s what, but I’m now getting my butt into gear and am actively looking. I’m a non-smoker and am looking for a non-party household. I’m fairly tidy and enjoy a good book, Netflix, going out for coffee and food, Reddit, YouTube and video games. I’m a night owl but I don’t make too much noise. I enjoy a good movie night or family dinner every so often. I manage a retail store at Westfield Belconnen currently and am looking for full-time professionals or reliable students to share with. I’m keen to make a home, not just a house. I’d prefer to live with 1-3 women in their 20s/early 30s but am flexible. I’m okay with including a guy in our house too. If we’re starting a sharehouse, I’d love to get a newer place with larger rooms and a bit of light, but obviously with uni starting back the competition is stiff right now. I come with bedroom furniture and random other bits and pieces for the common areas, though I can get rid of them too if necessary. Shoot me a message to meet up/show me a room. Cheers, Scarlett
I am looking for a room. I am a middle aged man who dabbles in writing, performing and counselling. I am 'spiritually' minded, for want of a better word. I have been either house-sitting or renting for a few years after the end of a long relationship. The place I was in Mort St Braddon was sold. I have temporary accommodation thanks to a lovely friend. I like to meditate, go out to places like The Front Cafe or Smiths, art openings and other things around town. I have a lot of friends of different ages. I like reading and going into the bush and I can cook well. I cannot drive as I have a genetic eye disorder but my brain seems to compensate a lot; so other than driving I am quite functional. I am pretty clean and tidy. I can pretty much talk about anything and I am quite 'chilled.' Also, I have plenty in my bank account to pay rent with, just not enough to buy; I am also on the visual disability pension Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

Hi there, I'm Joshua, 24, from Germany/Munich. I'm studying sports science. I visit UniCanberra for my Master's thesis. It would be great to have contact to students in order to come together and do fun stuff, like sports, party, sightseeing, traveling, cooking and whatever is fun to you. Looking forward to see you! Best regards, Josh
Hey There! 26, easy going female. Currently working full time in media marketing. I enjoy a social household and spending time w my housemates but enjoy having my own space. When I'm not working I like spending time outside and love dogs. Currently saving to travel so looking for somewhere affordable. Open to length of stay (hoping for more than 3 months). Any questions, let me know.
I'm a PhD student in plant sciences at CSIRO Black Mountain Innovation Park (Near to ANU). Always fascinated to know about different life styles and cultures. I also enjoy reading, listening music, watching movies, painting and travelling to new places. I value physical and mental fitness and believe in having all-round persona. I would like to live in a healthy social house. I am a good cook and can cook almost all type of Indian vegetarian food.
I am looking for a place for me and my dog, an English Springer Spaniel. I am fairly quiet, tend to keep to myself. I am a bit of a gamer and a nerd. I am happy for a chat now and then. I am currently unemployed but I am working hard at finding a job. My dog is mostly an outside dog, however I like to keep him inside during bad weather and at night. He gets along with other dogs/cats as long as they aren't too energetic.
A little bit about me I'm 26, work full time and studying part time to be a counsellor. I'm clean, will happily cook and love to have chats over wine. I'm looking for a place that is quite social but also respectful of everyones down time. I'm in the process of relocating from Sydney to Canberra at the moment - so not looking to move until I can confirm a job. I also have a cat named Bernard he's a bit of an asshole but he's pretty damn chill at the same time. I can really only afford $200 - $260 a week, so if anyone out there knows of or will be needing a room filled around that time please PM me. :) I love cooking (used to be a chef), I'm really tidy I hate mess. I'm considerate of others as I do like to go out yet I understand people have work and no one wants to be woken up late at night. Happy to do communal dinners or just chill out for a chat and wine
Hi there! I'm Tash, I'm 21 and currently in my third (but not quite my last) year studying International Relations and French at ANU. I'm a born and raised Canberra girl, and am looking to move out of home in order to be closer to uni and work (part-time as a swim instructor/coach). I spend quite a bit of time out and about, and can often be found either swimming or at the gym, but I also love to chill out with Netflix and a cup of tea (T2 New York Breakfast, if you're interested). I am a music lover with a taste for all genres, the only strong aversion I have is country music... a year spent on a Midwest college campus in the U.S. did nothing to help this situation. I like to keep organised, which helps my productivity and mindspace (a must when it comes to assessment period) but I am very easygoing and always happy to help out around the house in any way possible! I'd love a long-term place to live, and am flexible with move in dates. Please don't hesitate to get in touch, I'd love to hear from you!
