Hey Guys, I'm Sam. Hobart's a pretty cool place, I've lived here most of my life. Next year is looking a little bit up in the air for me, pondering a bit of travel but could also very easily stick around in town for a while to come! My current lease is finishing up and I'm looking for somewhere to lay my head for at least a few months over summer with the potential to stay around longer. I work full time in eco-tourism along with a little side gig at a bar, so in between all of that and travelling and catching up with some friends I don't tend to be at home a whole lot. When I'm around I love to have a chat and a wine, share a meal and a few laughs. I like to think of myself as a pretty clean and organised person to live with and always keen to help out and contribute to the household! My main base for work is located a little out of the city, so pretty open as to where I live as long as it's within a 15-20min drive to town. Look forward to chatting with you soon :)
I am 30 and a full time shift worker at the Royal. I enjoy the great outdoors and generally have a pretty busy schedule. Having said that, I do like to think of myself as easy going, tidy and considerate. I have a small friend called Kate (cat) and she is 6, fully house trained and an absolute little champ.
Hello, I'm Maggie and I'm from San Diego, California. I will be moving to Hobart to work as a nurse in November. I'm looking for places close to CBD (where my hospital is) because I don't have a car yet. Looking to move in around Nov. 26th. About me: -I'm a down to earth Californian girl, outgoing and full of positive energy. -I traveled extensively through North, Central American and Asia, and I'm very respectful toward other culture. -I like to have time for myself and I respect others privacy too. But I would love to hang out when we are both available. -On my days off, I like to try different restaurants/bars and travel around to see different things. I LOVE the ocean and spend a lot of time on all sorts of water sports (paddle boarding, scuba diving and sailing). -I don't leave mess around the house, and expect my roommate to do the same. Please message me if you think we are compatible. I would love to have coffee and see if we can work something out. Thank you!
Hi, My name is Lidia, I'm 27 years old and I'm a PhD student at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). I have been invited for a short stay in a lab in Kingson, that's why I'm looking for a place to live. If I have to describe myself as a flatmate, I would say that I'm clean and kind. Coming to my hobbies, I like being with my family and friends, listening to music, reading books, watching TV series and doing some exercise. That's all about me!
I'm a lawyer who is leaving the law and moving to Hobart to make a triumphant return to full time study and undertake a drastic career change. Get amongst it. I'm 28 and past my grungy student house phase, so am looking for similarly aged house mates to share a relaxed and comfortable home with. I love a cozy home environment, ponder: veggie garden, dinner parties, a red vino and a good ol' post-day debrief, a fire pit in the back yard, chuck some fairy lights on it all, a cheeky trip to the pub/life time goal of becoming a regular at the local. I love travelling, reading, food, camping & nature, beach weekends, and music. I like a mix of hermit life and socialising. I'll be getting my head around studying full time again, and hopefully picking up some casual work, but Hobart will be a new place for me and I'm looking to meet some genuine gem people and do some exploring. I've lived in share houses for over a decade, and am a good housemate. I am considerate of others, pay bills on time, clean up after myself, and keep shared spaces tidy. I like to share a meal/netflix/bev with house mates and like to feel comfortable and relaxed in my home environment. I'm respectful of people's differences and mindful of other's needs.
Hi there, We are three guys who have known one another since high school and have lived together for a while. We are a sociable and pretty tight-knit bunch, we enjoy having a relaxed drink, playing video games together (Smash Bros), and hanging out and watching Netflix. We cook communally most nights and keep a tidy environment, and generally look out for one another. We have a super-friendly cat named Bam who is literally the most chill creature on the planet. The owner of our current house wants to move in so we are currently looking for a new house and we would like a fourth housemate so we can get a bigger place. We are very actively searching for a new house and have a few good leads on some nice properties. We have a budget of approximately $150 - $200 per person. Between the three of us, we own everything required to furnish a house so all that is need is your own bed (unless the house is furnished). The house will include an espresso machine for those who are coffee drinkers, unlimited internet, as well as a great printer available for those who may be undertaking postgraduate studies. Our ideal housemate would be a professional or postgraduate student (these are just a guide - don't let this put you off if you are interested) with a stable financial situation. Someone who is looking for a social house but not a party house. Someone who enjoys sharing a bottle of wine and eating dinner together. A little about us: Kevin is a design student who also has a casual position as a support worker for people with disabilities. He enjoys photography, drawing, and potatoes. Jeff is just finishing up his degree and is looking for a full-time position as an engineer. He enjoys travelling, wine, and avocados. Tim will be starting a PhD in December, and is supported by a government scholarship and also works as a tutor at the university. He enjoys reading, talking about the news, wine, and Anzac biscuits. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or you think you might be a good fit for us. We look forward to meeting you, Tim, Jeff & Kevin
My name is Jake and I'm an apprentice chef at Templo in Hobart. I'm a quiet individual who spends most of my time either working, exercising or sleeping. I'm looking at selling my car and moving closer to where I'm working so I can ride or walk and live a bit of a healthier lifestyle. I can provide a glowing recommendation from my current real estate where I have never been late on rent and kept my place in immaculate condition
Easy going working professional looking for a place to relax / unwind after work. Enjoy good food and banter. Am respectful, clean and tidy. Have recently relocated to Hobart from Sydney for work. I look forward to meeting new people and am looking forward to the opportunity to meet new people in this beautiful city. Regards Andrew
Hi I'm Xiaoshu, 35 years old, female, I'm moving to Hobart to take an 1 year course next year. It's kind of my gap year to enjoy a cool aussie climate here. I love travel, thinking about traveling around Tasmania this year. i'm searching for place to settle down, team up or share house with others.
Avid lover of fine wine, food and culture. Moving from Melbourne to Hobart to commence a new role with MONA in mid November. My professional background is in wine so you know there'll always be a bangin' pinot noir or chardonnay on hand. I'm a social person by nature, however i'm always respectful of personal space. I always ensure to be neat and clean and would expect the same of whoever I live with. I am making the move from interstate and stepping well beyond my comfort zone so would ideally love to live with people who are as social as I am. In my personal time I read, write and incessantly watch (and quote) brooklyn nine nine or the office. I will be in Tasmania from Friday 16th, November and would love to catch up with any prospective house mates for a wine/coffee. I love exploring new cultures, cuisines and places and it goes without saying that I am always up for some good wine and better banter.
I am Shamim from Malaysia. 28 years old Male. I am going to UTAS for pursuing my Ph.D. program. I am looking for accommodation from 1 January 2019. I'm friendly, respectful and punctual. Also, I am caring about other housemates!
Hello! I am a medical research student at UTAS and work at Salamanca market on weekends. I am clean, quiet and friendly. I enjoy bushwalking on weekends and spending time at the beach! I am looking for a quiet, female only home while I complete an honours year at Menzies Institute. I am flexible and low maintenance. I'm hoping to find a nice home to spend the next year.
Hi! Chelsea here, 18 year old female studying law at Utas in 2019. Have lived out of home for over a year now and fully acquainted with house mate ettique, paying bills, and house upkeep. Sadly leaving behind my current roomates for something a little closer to the uni. In my spare time I love socialising with my housemates and friends, playing guitar, reading and playing PS4. Froth a beer and a bit of red and looking for like minded roomates who are willing to hang out but also respect personal space and property. Looking for either people to team up with or for a place in a sharehouse. At this stage I would be looking to move out around late december, but happy to negotiate. Let me know if this sounds like you!
Hi! I'm a 25 year old studying Ancient History at UTAS. I'm looking for a new long-term rental as my current landlord has decided to sell at end of my lease. I am pretty laid-back, respectful, quiet, tidy, friendly but introverted (I tend to read or watch Netflix) I would love a place where people are around in the evenings to catch up. I love books and movies/tv shows (particularly horror and fantasy/sci-fi!) history, pizza and having the odd drink of a good cider. I don't drive, so good access to public transport is a priority
Respectful, Clean and tidy, have had experience in other share houses living with different men and women. Possibly will be out of the house a lot working while uni has yet to start I have lived in Tasmania about two or three months now, moved from Newcastle. Living and working around Cygnet but looking to relocate up to Hobart to start a new uni degree next year in Feb. I mainly work in the kitchen at the Red Velvet Lounge in Cygnet but have also been doing some work for art classes in and around Hobart.
Im moving to work full time with Parks and Wildlife Service of Tasmania. Im easy going fun adventurous, I like to scuba dive and spend time outdoors and enjoy a good IPA. I also love coffee and have a good quality coffee machine. I have a gorgeous dog and the both of us are looking forward to moving to Tassie. Ideally i am looking for a shed space to set up a workshop and a yard for the dog but she likes to be inside as well. In the right situation I would be interested in a longer stay otherwise I am looking for somewhere to stay until i can find something more suitable.
We are heading to Tassie where Jono will work at UTas and Rachel will find work in coffee or sustainable fashion. We are both from the US, and are fishermen in Alaska during the Northern Hemisphere summer (we were also both in charge of cooking and dishes for the crew, a good idea of how we work together) Thus, we have earned our yearly pay seasonally, and have a financially sound buffer. We’re hikers. Jono is a climber. Clean, friendly, and mindful. Our party days are over, but each of us happen to love a good bevvy!
Heyy Guyss! My name is Maggie, I'm a 27 years old female and going to be a student at TasTAFE Campbell St, so I'm gonna stay longer here. Greetings :) I am from South Africa. Cleanliness and neatness are important. I enjoy the outdoors and relaxing at home. I respect people's privacy and space. I don't mind doing household chores. I enjoy socializing and having some private quite time. I'm friendly and keep things tidy. I currently work in the design and manufacturing industry.
I'm pretty chilled out about most things, trying to get my life back on track, I suffer from depression, anxiety and also have a few health issues mainly due to diet, so I would be making some good food once I get back into the swing of life.. I'm a good cook so that's something I can bring into the house, although I haven't been cooking for myself for a while, so that might take some effort, am also in the process of trying to become a DJ so if you like music I can try to provide some and possibly liven up a party or two :p other than that I don't really know what to say I've never been on a lease and don't have any references, not interested in trying anything with members of the opposite sex, I just want somewhere to live and have been struggling to find anywhere for 7+ years.. I really need somewhere I can be for at least around 12 months, more would be better if there is a chance for an extension.. I'm on stream c payments until I'm ready to work again, I hope that helps someone see past my unemployment, need to move asap.. Also in the process of quitting smoking and don't do it all the time and will go outside if necessary.. Would prefer not to be around pet's because I have always been around them and would like a break lol..
Hello! I'm a thoughtful, quiet human looking for a place to call home. I'm a potter and work casually in a bookshop with plans to study in 2019. I'm fond of making things, reading, gardening and spending time with my friends. I have a sweet Russian Blue cat so hoping to find somewhere cosy for both of us to stay.
