I'm a marine biology PhD Student from New Zealand, spending two months in Hobart to work with researchers at CSIRO. I'm tidy and considerate, and on top of my payments. I'll be quite busy around that time so I'll be pretty quiet, but I'm always down for a chat and a drink / cup of coffee. I've been to Hobart before so I know my way around!
I’m 29 years old from Taiwan. I’ve been in Australia for 5 years now. I love art, whether it’s painting or playing music and any types of creativities. Love cooking of course and I’m a tidy person. Maybe a bit OCD😂 I will arrive on 7/6 by ferry. Then I will drive down to Hobart. Please let me know if there is any chance to take the room. I can pay some deposit in advance if it’s necessary. Let me know what you think.
I am a fresh graduate in the process of securing a full-time job in Hobart, easy to get along and I truly respect privacy. A foodie, and enjoy good movies! Easy to chat to on many interest as I have learned a lot while doing my studies in Australia!
Currently looking for short-term accommodation while my unit’s storm damage is being repaired. Currently looking at about 6-8 months of stay required. I work-part time at Woolworths and am a university student. I usually kept busy by work and uni so I generally keep to myself but am always up for a friend chat or hang out. Will be a place to park my car whether on street or off street parking. Not fussed about living with pets either.
Hi there! We are an easy going English couple currently exploring Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. We've been up and down the East coast but are now ready to tackle Tasmania in winter (some call us crazy but being from UK's north-west and having spent a previous winter on New Zealand's South Island, there's nothing for us to worry about, right?). Our ferry is booked for 19th June so we'll be arriving in Hobart not long after that, where we will begin our search for work, and plan on staying until our visa runs out (although we have completed our farm work so if we find the right job we'd be open to extending the visa and staying long term, but that's a decision for further down the line). Right now, we'd be looking for somewhere for a 3-4 month period but will consider anything slightly shorter or longer. We're clean, considerate and quiet people. We like to socialise by having a chat and getting to know people over a few drinks - definitely not loud party people! We love the outdoors (the main thing drawing us to Tasmania in the first place), and will be spending as much of our free time exploring the area. Let us know if you have anything that may suit us - we can provide references from our previous flat in New Zealand and several longer-term stays in Australia. Cheers :) Phil and Anna
Single and double room available in West Hobart. The house is 20/30 mins walk to the CBD at the top of a steep hill in Forest Road. The elevated position offers an amazing view (Derwent river from the Tasman Bridge to the Casino, kunanyi/Mount Wellington). The house has a centralised gas heating with panel heaters in every room. The spare rooms are situated at the bottom level of the house: one single ($190/w), one double ($220/w), and have views out over the garden. They allow for lots of privacy. Guest toilet + shower is upstairs, and there is an extra toilet downstairs. Plenty of on street parking but it is a quiet road.Big kitchen fully equipped. However, we don't cook meat in the house and our guests are usually vegetarian or do not cook meat during their stay. We don't mind about people having take-away non vegetarian food. We have 3 cats.

Hello, We are Edward and Erin. We are in the process of securing a property in west Hobart. We require 2 other housemates with good references/Rental History. Couples welcome! The house is light and bright, fitted with gas heating, gets lots of sun. So perfect for the upcoming Hobart winter! Edward (27) is business owner and director at Hobart Beverage Co, so you can be sure of a constant supply of kombucha, he also has a knack for gardening and loves planting vegies and natives, yum! Erin (22) is in her final year of study, Plant science & Zoology. She's very organised, loves listening to disco and sharing a wine with fellow housemates. We also come with two tiny cute chickens Geannie & Wattle. They are bantams so they will stay very small, and they are super tame, love cuddles and only need a small pen, with the occasional explore around the yard. Leaving a fully established share house, so we have furniture, kitchen wares etc. We also have a sick projector for house movie nights and a funky vinyl collection. Can provide you with links to the listings if you're interested. We would love to hear from you if you're interested in living with us!
My name is Gav, I am a 21 year old small engine mechanic apprentice that is aiming to go onto a diesel fitters apprenticeship and eventually work in Antarctica. I am a 4th year apprentice so am financially stable. My day to day routine involves getting up, cycling to work, working, cycling home where I will usually read, draw or listen to music. If I am feeling energetic I will go and see a band or go to the climbing gym. I am a very independent person who is looking for his first share house. I have good work ethic and feel I would make a considerate and active housemate. I like the idea of living independently within a house but getting together and doing something as a community when the opportunity arises. I also like the idea of living in a mixed-gender household as i work in a male dominated environment and need the balance of female or LGBTQI companionship. My hobbies include bike riding (cycling and motorcycling), drawing, reading, listening to music, playing guitar, going to gigs, snorkelling and the ocean. I am into lots of different things. Probably best described, ironically as a environment conscious gear-head, that loves nature and adventure, but will get his hands dirty to fix something wherever necessary. I'd be great to live with as I enjoy spontaneity and socialising but also value independence and space. I also have a variety of skills which make for a decent handy man and problem solver. Looking for a place with a garage or workshop space where I can tinker and potentially work on house hold ventures (such as make furniture).
Hi I am a creative arts professional working in festival producing, production and programming. I'm looking for a a lovely place to settle into long term with warm open-hearted people. I'm passionate about music, arts, literature and culture. I also love nature, hiking, camping and locally grown and sourced produce. You'll find me in the kitchen regularly as I love cooking, dinner parties and sharing wine with friends. I also have a black cat whose name is 'Squiggle' he is 10 years old - I treasure him as he has the most incredible chilled out and fun personality and loves cuddles, laps and pats. Looking for a place where we are both welcome!
Hi I'm Naf. Recently moved from Melbourne for living in Hobart on a long term. Currently, I'm working multiple part-time jobs and studying as well. I'm tidy and punctual person so there will be no issues with paying my bills. Love to have a chat with a glass of wine. If interested gimme a buzz :)
Hey, My name is Stephen a 26 year old full time employed marine biologist. I'm originally from Melbourne, but moved to Hobart in August of last year. With the recent storm event, my room in a share house in Taroona was flooded, and requires too much repair for me to stay. I've lived in share houses in Melbourne, Hobart and overseas. I am clean, respectful, easy going and have made many good friends from my previous share houses. I enjoy anything involving the water, getting outside, music and relaxing with a movie. Also, I wasn't really sure how long to list the stay so just did 9 months. I hope to hear from you, Stephen
Hello! We're Rahul and Em, we are students at the University of Tasmania. We're friendly and social but also respect personal space and privacy. Em is really into gardening and would happily maintain yours if you would be so kind. We both like to live in a tidy environment, so cleaning up after ourselves is no issue. If we sound suitable to live with don't hesitate to give us a call.
I love music, the outdoors, martial arts, literature and spending time with others. I currently live in a self contained unit downstairs from an elderly couple but would love the opportunity to live closer to people and make new friends. I work part time at Hillstreet in West Hobart and am currently pursuing a career as a musician. I am tidy and happy to abide by any house rules. Love a drink with friends and going on adventures.
Heyo lovely people! My name is Lucy, i'm 19 and I'm about to begin an arts degree in July majoring in Geography. Last year I completed a cert iii and iv in outdoor guiding, and have loved working the past season as a guide on Maria Island. I am passionate about the environment, and am always planning the next mission into tassie's stunning wilderness. I'm an easy going and open-minded person, who is equally happy socialising and having a chat as I am on my own - reading, watching films, listening to music, cooking and getting a lil arty are some things I enjoy when I get a bit of time to myself. I'm a tidy person and will always chip in to help keep the space looking nice. I'm respectful, considerate and kind, and I hope I can find some people to live with that treat others the same way. Let me know if you think I can fit into your home!

My dog (Bella) definitely gives better hugs than I do! I’m a super tidy, organized, vegetarian that works full time and is currently over committed to sporting activities. And I don’t mind a wine or 3 on the weekend. I’m looking for housemates that are easy going, and don’t mind the odd chat or cook up! Bella and I are easy to live with and we hope to find some new friends soon.
Hi there, I have just arrived back to Melbourne after completing my Master's degree in Boston. I am originally from Melbourne, however, will be moving to Hobart in later June - early July to further pursue my education at UTas. I have been living in shared houses for the past 4 or 5 years now and love meeting new people, exploring nature, trying out new restaurants and bars. I am generally an outdoorsy person and am looking forward to exploring the beautiful island. I am extremely responsible, like to live in a neat and clean house and respect others privacy, although am always up for a friendly beer or meal together. Dhruv
I'm moving to Tasmania from NSW for work. Will be working full time work in Hobart, so looking to be based in or near Hobart. I'm a vegetarian, planet friendly, movie loving, feminist, baker. Big fan of soup. Super chilled, friendly, social justice campaigner. I'm a mature and respectful housemate. Would like to live with one other mature person, preferable a woman, who's left leaning, and is working. Happy to team up with like minded person to house hunt.
Just up the road from the iconic North Hobart restaurant strip and public transport, a short bicycle ride away from the CBD, nestled close to Knocklofty and within walking distances to HIll St grocer and the West Hobart butcher... Unmetered street parking is available, and there is dual access from Cato Avenue and Valley St. Bills (internet, gas, electricity, water) will be shared amongst housemates. The house is partially furnished at the moment. The rooms are spacious and cosy with built in robes.
