We are a young couple who enjoy going away in the weekends, are organized and have a great sense of humor. We have lived in share houses before and have learned the good and the bad of sharing houses, so we are kind of awesome flatmates by now :) We look forward to meet great people with whom we could share a meal a conversation and a drink every now and then. This gorgeous 1930's 'Californian Bungalow' is now up for rent! Located on a large block of land on a quiet suburban street of Yeronga, this property is walking distance from bus, train, shops, restaurants, parks and the river. There is ample street parking available and plenty of cycling/running tracks around. Coles is a 3 minute drive with an Aldi opening soon and in walking distance is a small shopping complex which has nightowl, bakery, coffee shop, bottle shop, doctors, fish and chips, gift shop, optometrist, fruit and veggie shop and a petrol station. As the owners wanted to complete renovations on the house and possibly sell, myself and the other housemates moved out in Jan this year. Now, after some renovations and the decision not to sell, I jumped at the opportunity to move back in because I love living here so much. I had moved into an apartment in the valley but missed the space, having gardens, a pool and the serenity. With polished floor boards, pressed metal ceilings, tongue and groove walls and french doors, this Queenslander-style house is a place you'll be proud to call home. With some recent fresh paint and a few renovations, Day's Ave is now ready for its new residents. It has been professionally cleaned from top to bottom. Other features include: 15 min drive to city 10 min drive to west end (food and bars). Large back deck with pool, fire place, sunny front verandah, large kitchen, ample and separate living spaces, lots of lovely gardens. Looking for people who work full time and would love to live in a beautiful house and are happy to help keep it this way. There are 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets in total and a laundry away from the bedrooms. Some of the rooms are furnished, some aren't so we are flexible with that. If you are coming from interstate or overseas this would be perfect as I can set you up with a bed, wardrobe, dressing table at no extra cost. Otherwise, you can furnish the room yourself! The house is fully furnished so if you have lots of belongings and furniture then this house will not suit you sorry. Utilities include internet, water, gas, electricity and a cleaner once a fortnight (they will clean all the floors and bathrooms). The utilities are to be paid with rent and the cost has been calculated at $30 per week. Tenant responsibilities: a roster will be organised once we are all in. Jobs inc pool checking and cleaning (prior pool experience would be very helpful!), mowing, taking out bins, keeping all common areas clean etc. Shared amongst 5 people, there really isn't a huge amount of work.
I’ve just inspected this townhouse in Yeronga and I’m looking for 2 people to team up with me so we can apply for it. The first room is $140 and is 3x3 with a very high ceiling, door and mirrored built in cupboards. The second room is $160 and is 3.5 x 3.3 also with a very high ceiling, door and mirrored built in cupboards. This place is beautiful, very modern. It has heaps of storage and is in a great location. This property has 2 off street parking and ample on street parking (no parking limits). There’s a huge living area downstairs that I’m keen to fill with beautiful furtniture. There’s an awesome kitchen with a gas cooktop. About the area: You’ve got everything you’ll need around the Yeronga/Annerley area. The house is a short (450m) walk to Yeronga train station, just down the road. Short walk to the 100, 105 and 125 buses. They’ll take you in the city and to Indooroopilly. The townhouse is a short 5 minute drive to Fairfield Gardens where you'll find Coles, Greengrocers, BWS, Liquorland, Post Office, Snap Fitness and more. There's a 7/11 servo there as well. You'll find another 7/11 in Just down the road in Yeronga near Dominoes Pizza, Subway, a doctors surgery, chemist and more. This place really is in the best location. Annerley, Buranda and Woolloogabba are a short 8/10min drive away too where you'll find so much more, KFC, Woolworths, Zambrero's and GYG included. The townhouse is a couple of km’s away from the Brisbane Corso which is very popular for bike riding and morning/afternoon runs. Brisbane Corso leads to Green Bridge which will take you over the river to UQ. To get to the city it's an 8km/15 minute drive. To get to Indooroopilly (the nearest big shopping centre), it takes roughly 20 minutes around either side of the river.
A young, quiet pensioner who is fond of learning, art, science and philosophy. Noah is on the ASD or autism spectrum, with a number of chronic mental health issues that are behind his status as a pensioner. He's very low impact, gentle and compensates for struggles understanding body language by being dedicated to good communication and respect for others. Honest and quirky, good with animals, vocabulary and art, he's looking for other mellow, accepting people, especially other people in the LGBT+ community.
Hey there, I'm Melanie! I'm 22 and work full time in the city. I'm a shift worker so I work all different hours of the day/night. What I’m looking for: I’m looking to team with 1 or 2 others to find a new 2 or 3 bedroom place. I would love to stay on the South side of Brisbane, preferably around the Yeronga area. I'd also love to be close to a train station. I have 2 years experience with calculating the fair splitting of bills and I always pay the houses rent on time so I'll take up that responsibility. In the new place, I'm after the master bedroom. Hoping to have plenty of storage in the place (got a fair bit of stuff - Christmas deco especially hehe) and a carport for my new car. I'm hoping to find someone like minded and around a similar age (age isn't too much of a worry but no first time sharers please). I would love to become friends with my new flatmate/s, not just simply share a living space. :) About me: I'm an easy going person who gets on well with pretty much anyone. I'm always down for a chat and a laugh. I'm not a party animal but I do occasionally like to enjoy a couple of beers or some wine. I love to head to the beach/waterfalls when I can (unfortunately this isn't too often because apparently it rains every time I have a day off hahah). I'm currently trying to get back into the healthy eating and exercise thing (had a year long indulgence, whoops). I love to cook and if you're lucky, I'll share my food with you. I love the boho kind of theme, so brace yourself for tapestries, incense and candles. I'm hoping in the new place to be able to set up a little green corner with succulents and other plants etc. I love to live in a clean and tidy house and it peeves me when other people don't. It's really important that my future housemate/s have this value too. There's so much more I could add to this but if you think we'd get on well, please message me for a chat :)
Dear potential roomates, This offer is not for everyone. those of you who have saved every penny for most of your life to afford a down payment and currently work around the clock the make mortgage repayments, I commend you on your efforts, but this ad is not for you. Our current room mate is going sky diving today so just to hedge our bet to make rent next month we need a person on reserve. In order to be considered as a suitable replacement you must have the following character qualities: 1. Fun 2. Clean 3. Considerate of others 4. Enjoy watching bad action movies 5. Can take a joke 6. And willing to do everyones taxes in July. Now when it comes to the house description i can carry on about how newly renovated it is and how the place comes fully furnished and how clean it is but i like to cut straight to the point... we have a N64 with super smash brothers, that it self should be the main reason you will be moving in. With the high chance that Barry will perish in a sky diving accident to day we will take all applicants emails seriously. if you have any questions check us an email and i will attend to it between Mario cart and 007 Golden eye. Cheers
I recently graduated from university and am currently a casual worker looking for full time work. I'm extremely easy going, love to chat and socialise but like my down time as well. I love art and culture, I dabble in photography as a hobby.
Hello, Keen for a housemate team up. I'm a 26 year old Australian. I'm the kind of housemate that values downtime but I love to chat and I love to meet new people as they come. I will probably however spend most of my time researching in depth analysis on things that don't even get me a point on the board on trivia night. I like going to the gym and trying to kick goals with my career but the key work is trying. I hate cooking, so I won't be in there much. I try to speed cook once a week so I don't have to go in there again for another week. I work full time and then some. My favorite part of renting a new property is putting a "return to sender" on all the strangers mail that comes to the property and slowly watching the number of letters addressed to strangers reduce. I have a chocolate Labrador. She's a good dog and I'm lucky to have her. She's an outside dog while i'm out but I bring her inside to sleep at night. She sits, stays, judges me and all the basics. I'm thinking somewhere to rent like Annerley or Toowong and surrounding suburbs? Because those areas have great cycle paths. I'm thinking a two or three bedroom house and we can get in a third person in at a later date. Keen to meet for a quick coffee and hear your ideas on where you'd like to live.
I'm 3rd yr student studying Nutrition & Exercise Science at The University of Queensland. I'm easy going, clean, respectfull. I know the importance of uni - chill time balance, and dealing with the roller-coaster ride that uni can be. Study is important for me, but so is staying healthy and socialising over movies/ delightful beverages (wine, cider, smoothies, tea) I'm looking for a room in a share house/ apartment, and willing to team up with like-minded people to organise this. Move in by 11 July preferably, good location for public transport, and under $200 pw (bills inclusive)
Hi! I'm from the UK and am looking for a place to stay for 3 months starting in June as I am coming over to Brisbane to carry out an internship where I will be working full time. I am 21 years old and currently studying for a Masters at university here in England. I am a friendly outgoing person and would love to live with other similar aged people who can get me used to the Australian student life! I see myself as a easygoing, fun person and I enjoy going out and socializing with friends. On top of this, I am respectful of others space and privacy, and always tidy up after myself. I am extremely excited about coming to Australia, so in my spare time I plan on taking in the sights of Brisbane! Thanks and I hope to hear from you!
Reliable, quiet professional - manager of disability and accommodation service. Enjoys down time (reading, Netflix) when not working; keen for spontaneous activities (axe throwing, brewery tours, etc). I do have two cats I’d like to keep with me (both are neutered male indoor cats) - going through a separation.
So this place is really quiet but close to the main road. Its under a 10 minute walk to trains and buses so it's really easy to get to the local Coles or UQ (20 min trip). I really recommend any students looking for cheap and easy accommodation to apply. There is on-street parking around the back of the house on the back streets. The back gate is actually on a driveway so no cars can be parked along the road. There is air-con throughout the house but not in the room available. The main bathroom is also shared with another roommate but he's tidy and keeps it clean. The kitchen is a shared area and is stocked with all the essentials. There's a BBQ outside on the patio and a fair amount of outdoor space out the front and back, which is good for having friends over. The living area is also spacious and is great for relaxing. There is a shared laundry available as well. The room itself is 3.3m x 2.8m; the main wall has a large window so natural light is always available. The wardrobe is moderate in size with a lot of above head storage. The room comfortably fits a double bed and a desk. The lease is until August but the housemates are likely to renew. Anyone is welcome so please contact me, must fill room ASAP
We're looking for someone to take over of the rooms until the end of lease in June. At the end of the lease we will be resigning. The first room available is room 5 on the floor plan. (3.8m x 3m) $105 The second room available is room 3 on the floor plan. (4.2m x 3m) $120 About the house: The house has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Security screens on every door and window. It has a spacious layout and the whole house is furnished, no need to bring anything but we can accommodate if so. About the room: The room is decent with a large glass sliding door. One small built-in cupboard. About the bills: The room is $105 a week. Internet is $12/m and is unlimited data. Electricity is roughly $100-$120/q. Water is roughly $50/q. So on as an estimate, bills would be $20 a week. About the area: We're situated in a really lovely suburb, very homely and safe. The house is a short (150m) walk to the 105 bus, just down the road. It takes you in the city and to Indooroopilly. It is also a short (2.5km) drive to Fairfield train station. The train station is situated behind Fairfield Gardens where you'll find Coles, Greengrocers, BWS, Liquorland, Post Office, Snap Fitness and more. There's a 7/11 servo there as well. You'll find another 7/11 in Yeronga near Dominoes Pizza, Subway, a doctors surgery, chemist and more. This place really is in the best location. Annerley, Buranda and Woolloogabba are a short 8/10min drive away too where you'll find so much more, KFC, Woolworths, Zambrero's and GYG included. The house is near Brisbane Corso which is very popular for bike riding and morning/afternoon runs. Brisbane Corso leads to Green Bridge which will take you over the river to UQ. To get to the city it's an 8km/15 minute drive. To get to Indooroopilly (the nearest big shopping centre), it takes roughly 20 minutes around either side of the river.

**SHORT-TERM also an option (if you can move in immediately) Lovely home in quiet street, close to the Brisbane Corso/river. Only 10 mins drive to West End/City/Southbank, a few mins drive to the Green Bridge or a sort bike ride to UQ (18 mins.) Parks and bike/walking paths nearby, a couple of cafés & an Italian restaurant/bar in walking distance also ☺ Fairfield Gardens shopping Centre (with Coles, post office, library etc) is a 5 min drive from home. House is fully-furnished with polished wood floorboards throughout and a lovely, light-filled kitchen. The room available is a decent size (bigger than it looks in the picture!), and comfortably fits a queen-sized bed and wardrobe. It has a ceiling fan, window to the back yard and is next to the back entrance & kitchen. No built-ins unfortunately, but there is a double bed, small standing wardrobe & dressing table with mirror available if needed. Rent is $160 per week plus $20 for bills (electricity, water, gas & Wifi internet.) Four weeks bond required. Non-smokers only, prefer a female. Must be clean, respectful, considerate & child-friendly ☺ Full-time worker or student preferred, a PhD student studying at UQ would be ideal.
I'm a soon-to-be Master's student at the University of Queensland. I will be moving from India to Brisbane early in July and seek affordable rooms in close proximity to the UQ campus. Am willing to share with housemates, and have a budget of $100 - $150 for weekly rent. For the most part, I'm quiet, reserved and easy-going, and easy to get along with. I like good hygiene and tidiness in my surroundings. My hobbies include reading, cycling, video games and music (am a novice self-taught pianist).
I am from Colombia I'm an easy-going 32 years old person. Also I will be busy working and studying so I will not have time to stick my nose in people's business . Love to be organized and definitely I adore pets. I'm a nice person and if you have some problem feel free to ask for help. I will do my best to help you. I am cheerful and like to have clear rules with my roommates to avoid problems. If you like to chat I will be available. I am a psychologist and in my free time I like to exercise, play soccer and read. Also love movies and music.
Quiet place in a beautiful surrounding, located nearby Brisbane river with lots of park area and bbq places around. Convenient distance to UQ by bus or cycling; bicycles are available at the property free of charge. Shopping at Fairfield Gardens. Great coffee/breakfast/lunch place around the corner. This place is perfect for someone who needs to get some work done during her or his stay and doesn't mind living in a peaceful area.
