Hi! I need to update this - just my parents are visiting from QLD and I've been looking at a couple of 1 bed apartments/ studios in Collingwood so have already taken their time - but just a quick overview

I have been studying a Post Grad Cert in Counselling (first units of a Master's), unsure if I will continue part-time next semester, take a break or just get it done - it depends on how my grades go. I've just started working as a casual in a victims support role in the CBD - occasional shifts from home (govt gig) and super flex! Open 7 days, but unlikely to get many weekend shifts. If I WFH can easily do it from my room :)

I've lived in heaps of awesome share houses in Melbourne - Brunswick, Fitzroy North, Carlton and Carlton North (I lived here for many years, leaving only for long-term travel) . I moved bac to QLD for a bit about a year ago closer to family but Melb is my city (if I'm not travelling haha) but I wanna be here at least the next 12 months and I LOVE Collingwood/ Fitzroy so atm I primarlily looking around here. I think after the stress of Uni and starting a new job, I'm keen to find a 1 bed place/ studio just to have my own space for a bit although I also love sharing! I do WFH sometimes - and am unsure about sudy next semester, so I just wouldn't want to be rude because I'm super social but sometimes I work best at night and I now people in the area so am never alone!

In saying that, there are some really cool 2 bed warehouse type conversions around Collingwood and I would totally be open to teaming up - prefereably with a guy/ LGBTIQ/ or a couple - I love living with couples - just to keep the balance, and someone who is open to an easygoing hosue where I could have friends visit occasionally but I'm also super respectful.

I'm very easy-going, respectful of other housemates, I'm friendly and open, I love meeting new people and trying new things.

I always pay rent on time, I have enjoyed living on my own esp in Collingwood, where you; 're so close to everything but I love living with other people too.

I have good friends in Melbourne, and I'm happy to be back! I'm 38 but a young 38 - some of my closest friends are in their 20s. I LOVE music, keeping fit, and exploring. I recently went to an awesome Burning Man-type festival in Thailand, which was epic. I love going to local gigs when I can - I don't bring the party home, maybe like a couple of friends for pre-drinks but that would be rare - and never if it wasn't ok. I prefer to go to someone else's house if we were haha. I respect your space.

I'm open to sublets or a house, I'm pretty keen to find a good place to stay for a while as this semester I wasn't sure what I would do after so have stayed with friends/ cat sat a bit for friends but ended up with my friend in Healesville and the drive to uni killed me, and is a long way from the CBD for work lol. Beautiful place though and we had so much fun!

Like I mentioned, I'm unsure about studying next semester - TBC...

I'm all for going out; for me it's therapy haha, but I prefer gigs/ events/ festivals or house parties - but I'm respectful and don't bring the party home, only sometimes here when it's just been a couple ppl to chill out after, but that's different bc I've been living on my own. Plus, if I did do Uni full time next semester, it's a LOT! I love keeping fit - I can't wait to get back to spin class! That's my addiction haha.

I am saving to go back to Thailand/ Vietnam, maybe for my long-time fav festival at the beginning of Dec. I want to try to volunteer in harm reduction, as that is the kind of work I want to do, or research in this area long-term. A Master's in counselling is one way to get there, but that could be about to change, which is super exciting.

I do have a car - an SUV I set up to sleep in/ camp/ go to festivals, etc - so I would need parking, street parking totally fine, or here I was renting a spot in Collingwood which I could do for sure.

Any questions, please message me :) I'm looking for a friendly house that won't mind if I do need to study - I'm social, but there are times when I just have to be in my room and study, and I wouldn't want housemates to think I'm rude...I'm not! In that way, living on my own has been great - I can study all night if I have to and sleep without bothering anyone. I would love to find a cool 1-bed apartment again, but yep, living with ppl is fun too. I usually get along well when there's a mix of genders, but that's just been my experience so far. I'm very open. I'm SO interested in tiny home living too!

So if anyone is interested in checking some places out, that would be cool. I have good references and work a govt job so I would have a good shot! I'm pretty independent but also love to laugh and chill, go for drinks/ dinner with housemates, and I love meeting new people.
