Hi, I have been subletting in the Oxley building in Collingwood, but due to circumstances beyond anyone's control - something awful happened to the leaseholder- I need to leave by the end of the month. I have really loved living here and would love to keep living in Collingwood! I'm totally open to anywhere in the Northside like Carlton Nth, Fitzroy Nth, Fitzroy, Brunswick, Northcote , Preston.
** I am so open to teaming up as well - I honestly would LOVE to stay in Collingwood - theres one going in our complex now, a 2-bedroom place, and these apartments are soo cool the whole complex/building as a super community vibe - I really wanna stay! But there are other awesome places around here too. Anyone who comes across my profil and finds a cool place in collingwood wants to team up msg me! I'll do some more searching on breaks but there's something about Collingwood - I think because I was so behind - I havent been able to explore enough and the places here are so quirky and fun - but in saying that, anywhere in the north up to Preston!
I have been studying Post Grad Cert in Counselling - so the first semester of Masters, unsure if I will continue part-time next semester; it depends on how my grades go. I'm starting a job next week in the CBD in community services - a casual role (I've worked there before!). We do work from home, I think Thursdays and Fridays but I'm casual so for me it probably wouldn't be a lot; I'm honestly not sure yet!
I've lived in heaps of awesome share houses in Melbourne - Brunswick, Fitzroy North, Carlton and Carlton North (I lived here for many years, leaving only for long term travel) . More recently I moved back to QLD to be closer to family. I'm very easy-going, respectful of other housemates, I'm friendly and open, I love meeting new people and trying new things.
I always pay rent on time, I have enjoyed living on my own, especially for study, but I love living with other people too!
I have good friends in Melbourne, and I'm happy to be back! I just turned 38 but I'm a young 38 -- some of my closest friends are in their 20s. I LOVE music, keeping fit, and exploring. I recently went to an awesome Burning Man-type festival in Thailand which was epic. I loce going to local gigs when I can - I don't bring the party home maybe like couple of friends for pre drinks or chill afterhangs but that would be rareeeee - and never if it wasn't ok. I prefer to go to someone else's house if we were haha. I respect your space.
I'm open to sublets or a house, I'm pretty keen to find a good place to stay for a while as this semester I wasn;t sure what I would do after so stayed with freiends but ended up with my friend in Healesville and the drive to uni killed me...she has the coolest son but I could notttt concentrate on uni work and I ended up so behind - my friend came up with a bunch of ideas but I just hated if I came home and had to tell her son I can't play...and yeah the communite to get anywhere was a killer. Beautiful place though and we had so much fun!
I'm unsure about study next semester - I have to try and pass these last 3 assignments first haha. I'm about to go back to a job I worked at for 5 years before- on and off bc of long term travel, its in the CBD and casual - so I wanna be able to bike/ walk to work. I thinkkkkkk they work from home after Wednesdays - but because I'm casual I don't know how many that would even be. I would just do it in my room but it is taking calls from ppl in distress so if there was a banging party going on it just wouldn't be fair to them.
I'm alllll for going out for me its therapy haha but I prefer gigs/ events/ festivals or house parties - but I'm respectful and don't bring the party home, only sometimes here when its just been a couple ppl to chill out after but that's different bc I've been living on my own. Plus if I did do Uni full time next semester its a LOT! I love keeping fit - I cant waittttttttt to get back to spin class!!! That's my addiction haha.
I am saving to go back to Thailand for my long-time fave festival at the beginning of Dec. I want to try and volunteer in harm reduction - as that is the kind of work I want to do, Masters in counselling is one way to get there but that could be about to change which is super exciting.
I do have a car - an SUV I set up to sleep in/ camp/ go to festivals etc - so I would need parking, street parking totally fine or here I've been renting a spot in Collingwood.
Any questions, please message me :) I I'm looking for a friendly house that won't mind if I do need to study - I'm social, but there are times when I just have to be in my room and study, and I wouldn't want housemates to think I'm rude! It's been great in that way living on my own - I can study all night and sleep and I'm not bothering anyone. I would love to find a cool 1 bed apartment again, I'm SO interested in tiny home living too!
So if anyone is interested in checking some places out that would be cool! I'm pretty independent but also love to laugh and chill, go for drinks/ dinner with housemates and I Love meeting new people!
Thanks! Anna
