Jasmin

I’m Jasmin, I’m 24 and am currently studying Journalism at RMIT alongside working in retail/marketing. I’ve been living in a sharehouse for the past year and a half and am now looking for a new place to call home (at a more affordable price). 🏡

I’m definitely an extrovert and would love to find a social house where everyone actually enjoys living together rather than just crossing paths in the hallway. I’d especially love to live with other creative people who are keen for a chat, communal dinner, drink or spontaneous outing, while still being able to read the room and respect when everyone needs their own space (myself included!). 🎨

I’m a big into all kinds of photography but especially film at the moment, mixing, going to gigs, exploring galleries and bookshops, and reading a twisted book somewhere in the sun whenever Melbourne decides to provide it. I come with decks, a reasonable amount of books, my own furniture and a Ute! 📚🎵

House-wise, I’m pretty relaxed and considerate. In my current sharehouse we’ve never really needed cleaning rosters. We clean up after ourselves and tend to pick up the slack for each other if someone’s having a particularly busy or rough week and we have the time, but I’m also completely open to a roster if that’s how your house works! ✨

The biggest thing for me is having a home that feels comfortable and tension-free. I really value living with people who can communicate openly if something is bothering them so little things can be sorted out before they become big things. That being said, I’ve never had this issue with any of my 5 housemates, although I’ve definitely heard some horror stories (like passive aggressive sticky notes left on dirty dishes)!

Overall I’d love to find a warm, social and creative home with people I can become friendly with, while still having our own lives and space. 🌞
