I'm Michael, and am looking for a home on a flatshare basis.

I'm a finance guy (accountant, CFO level in Auckland NZ). In 2021 (covid) I gave up full-time work and focused on one-off consulting assignments with SMEs. Then 18 months ago I moved to Brisbane – my son had already moved here, we're both interested in financial investments and had started an AI-driven investment stockpick project, it made sense for me to move across to work together. In these 18 months I've flatted with him, and also with a Colombian couple, and also taken time away travelling around Europe. I'm now relocating permanently to Brisbane.

Besides investing, my interests are playing tennis and golf, and listening to good music (which includes classical and opera). I like films, and socialising around the dinner table or out on the deck over a glass of wine. And cooking – for myself, or a relaxed flattie dinner out on the balcony at the weekend.

I enjoy living with professional (indeed, all sorts of) people, provided they’re open-minded, respectful of flatties/shared spaces so treat home as an oasis of calm / peace, financially responsible (pay rent / shared bills on time) and tidy (I am, having been a house-owner for years). And I do international – speak Spanish and a couple of other Euro languages.

I'm comfortable with either apartment living (2 beds/baths/flatties, balcony) or small house (3 beds/flatties, 2 baths - ideally 3, some lawn, good sunlight). And parking space would be nice!
