Hey everyone,

My name is René and I’m a 27-year-old master's student from Germany. I recently arrived in Melbourne this November to begin my Master’s thesis in Neurotechnology at the University of Melbourne.

I’ve been spending my first few weeks in temporary housing and hoping to move into a shared student house for the rest of my time here. Therefore, I’m looking for a room starting December 14th until June or July 2026, ideally located close to the university in areas like Fitzroy, Brunswick, or Collingwood.

As an easygoing, tidy, and considerate flatmate who enjoys a mix of social time and focus, I am dedicated to my research but always open to socialising, whether it is over dinner or in a meaningful conversation. In my downtime, I play tennis, like reading in parks or cafes, and love meeting new people and exploring different cultures (which is why I enjoy travelling!).
