Hi, I’m Nick.

I work full-time as a journalist, involved with theatre.

I'm gay, and in my early 40s.

I’ve lived and worked in Sri Lanka and regional Australia, as well as in Canberra. I’ve been called a friend and advocate for those in need, and received awards from charities. (Character reference!)

I’ve also written about theatre and opera, including the world-first review of The Lord of the Rings opera. (Yes, it exists, and it’s amazing.)

I’m fully house-trained and well-versed in the social contract of shared living. I’ve lived in everything from solo flats to shared lodgings, and house-sat for repeat clients; I treat the place I live with care and respect.

I enjoy a good conversation and would like a genuinely friendly household, but also respect privacy and personal space. I clean up after myself, and definitely don’t leave dishes sitting around.

I’m not a bad cook either – from the basics to the Babylonian! Ancient Roman a speciality.

My budget is around $300 to $400 per week. I’m looking to move fairly soon, but can be flexible for the right household. I don’t smoke or use drugs myself, but I’m not judgemental. I don’t have pets.
