My name is Francisco, I am a PhD student from Spain who is coming to Australia for a 3 months research stay. I love to play and watch all sports (specially basketball and tennis), but also enjoy talking and listening to other people. I would like to enjoy the stay, visiting the best places in Canberra and making some new friends.
Hi guys! I'm originally from a small Northern NSW town of Grafton and have recently relocated to Canberra. I'm currently working two jobs; one casual hotel position and one part-time airline position so I'm kept pretty busy. I only know a couple people here so would love to experience all the best of it with new friends. As a millennial, I'm pretty obsessed with my TV series and music. I'd love to have a good relationship with my flatmates and will try anything with an open mind. I'm pretty competitive when it comes to games and I love a good night out. However I also love my downtime so privacy is most definitely welcomed. I'm all about a clean living space and reliable roommates so paying rent and cleaning won't be an issue. I'm not too sure how long I will be in Canberra for so am only listing 6 months, but the option to stick around for longer would be a plus. I'm also not too fussed on where I'm located so my 'preferred locations' are definitely not set in stone. Send me a message and we’ll go from there!
Hey there, I'm Zoe. I grew up with a big family and have been living out of home for years so I understand sharing/ respecting space. Although I'm often out of the house, I do enjoy meeting new people and having real interactions and relationships with the people around me. I do marketing/ HR for a local brewery, play rollerderby for fun and love enjoying dinner with friends over a few glasses of wine. I'm looking for a clean place with friendly, relaxed vibes and great humans (pets are a bonus!). Shoot me a message for a chat ☺
We are both master students. My partner is an engineering student and I am a medical student. We are quiet, tidy and easy to get along with. We cook often and happy to eat together if you wish.
I'm a clean, friendly and relaxed person who is always up for a chat, but also respects other people's space. I work full-time as a Communications and Design Officer in a secure position so I'm out most days. At nights I generally go bouldering or just like to relax, chill out and have down time. If you feel I would suit your place please contact me to arrange an inspection time.
Looking for a chill, tidy and relaxed house in North Canberra. I’m respectful, and easygoing. I pitch in with chores and will happily share a drink or two or a chat with the housemates, though I respect other people’s space too! I sometimes go out of town on weekends to visit family and I work fulltime for the government :)
I work full time, am clean and like to have a chat yet also respectful of others privacy. Non smoker. Looking for long term accommodation.
I am moving to Canberra for a full-time job. I am a clean and tidy person, very friendly and easy to get along with. I would like to live in a flat with another young adult(s) who are working full time and can live peacefully together. In my spare time, I enjoy pilates, dance, snowboarding, Netflix, cooking and travelling interstate to visit my family. I am looking for an apartment or house with my own bathroom and enough space for a queen bed. My new workplace is in Turner so I am looking to live as close as possible to Turner for a short commute.
Ayden and I are both active individuals who enjoy our downtime when at home. We're both road cyclists and train 15-20 hours per week & are often away competing. Other than cycling, I'm doing my Masters in Architecture at the University of Canberra. Ayden is super easy going and can get along with just about anyone. He spends a lot of the year traveling with races. Looking for a clean & tidy place where we can feel at home.
Hi I'm Brittany 23yrs old. Sydney girl. Student at ANU studying law and security studies. Looking for a place to stay for 6months with the option to extend - preferably close to ANU/CIVIC. I am easy going, tidy, respectful of peoples' space and reliable with rent. That said I don't mind a chat and am great company. I live an active lifestyle (yoga, gym, swimming) and enjoy eating relatively healthy although I do love the odd glass of wine and a good dinner at Akiba, Dumpling House and Kinn Thai in Canberra.
I have plants, I'm good at gardening, I like sharing meals (or not, whatever is cool), don't mind having a chat over a beer or a coffee, will always clean up after myself and I'm doing my masters in environmental economics at ANU. I've listed my preference to move for the end of this month, but that's flexible.
Mature, easy going, down to earth uni student (first year bachelor of finance)/bartender. Born and raised in Canberra, looking for a place in a share house towards the end of the year. I’m a pretty social person but do enjoy time to myself. Hobbies include: going to the gym, eating out and socialising with friends, watching sport and listening to music. Very domesticated (can cook, clean and sort out my own laundry) and have a well paying part time job, will pay bills on time. Feel free to shoot me a message if you want to know anything else!
Hi! I am looking to move out of my parents place again. Moved back to Canberra after being in Melbourne for 3 years. I work full time at a law firm and study law at UC part time. When i am home i am studying or cooking. I am looking all over Canberra, i work in the City and Uni is in Belco, but i am living in Jerrabomberra currently. I have a cat (2 years old, lovely, big boy) and also a dog (mini fox terrier, 1 year old, full of energy). Cat is indoors at night, on my bed or the couch and outdoors during the day. Dog is the same, back yard preferably so she can play during the day. i then take her for walks every night and on the weekends. She is trained and doesn't make a mess. Just wants cuddles and to pay tug of war! Looking for a 2-3 bedroom house with ultimately my own bathroom. A house mate that is clean and tidy and doesn't mind if i have my boyfriend over a few nights a week. I am an Australian girl, 23, a hard working professional and will keep the house tidy. I am not a vegetarian but not opposed to someone that is. I am LGBT friendly. Don't mind if you smoke outside. Let me know if you have any questions!
I'm from Japan. I'm tidy. All bills included and furnished room is desirable. The cheaper the better. I wanna stay for 6 months. I'm gonna work at Rydges Capital Hill, so I wanna live within at longest 30 minutes from there.
Hi I'm a 42 year old professional guy, I run a UK software company and looking to move to Canberra to support some of our customers in AU and also see my daughters who live here with their mum (long story). I'm currently staying in an AirBnB place in Reid, but need to sort out something more permanent. I'm an easy going liberal. Keep my self to my self, though happy to mix and chat. I like movies, reading crime fiction and talking with interesting people. Not a party goer though love to chat with interesting people and generally friendly and easy to get on with. I work form home and don't have much stuff. I like a tidy and calm house and am very respectful of others and their space. I'm a lover of the outdoors and likely out running, walking or cycling (when I get a bike over here) when I'm not working.... working from home means I need to get a out a bit! I like to cook, especially for others, so occasional shared meals are cool. My daughters (age 6 and 10) are at school in Reid and might come over after school or on weekends sometimes. They're lovely girls, but if you can't stand children then we're probably not best flatmates. I'd ideally like a furnished, good sized room in Reid, Braddon, Civic area.... Finding the right people to share with can be harder than finding the right place, so definitely up for a team up to look for the right place if you reckon we could make food housemates. Totally understand that getting on is important, so happy to meet for a coffee or whatever to check before committing to anything. Anyway - if any of that sounds OK, then please consider me for a housemate. Thanks Stuart
Hi, I am from India, and I am going to join ANU as an astrophysics PhD student. I like making lots of friends, and I loved living in shared hostel during my undergraduate years. I play the guitar. I am up for casual conversations, board games, movies, and always ready for football matches and weekend treks.
I'm looking for a nice home to share with someone equally as considerate, tidy and quiet at night. I'm a working professional and recently moved to Canberra. I'm reliable with rent & bills, I cook occasionally and keep busy with hobbies and keep fit. I need a LUG or drive way for my car, a largish room for my queen bed, and space for my desk. I'm hoping to share with another professional with standards. I can't live with night shift workers or students sorry. I'm open to an occasional film, drink or share a meal and chat.
I am a undergrad student, currently in my third year, at ANU studying a double degree of Math and IT from Hangzhou, China. Before coming to Australia to study, I stayed in Japan for two years, which taught me a great deal in terms of other cultures and how I can learn and respect them. When I am free, I enjoy listening to music, , reading, cooking, and comedy (with Dave Chappelle being my favourite).
We are students from India studying at ANU, pursuing our postgraduate degree; we are looking for a house of 2-3 bedrooms in the college vicinity. About us: We are easy going, fun loving people and are very particular about cleanness and hygiene.
I work full-time in the city, and have a beautiful little dog (Ziggy). Looking for a pet friendly place in the inner north, and would be happy to start a new place if people are interested. I am a social person and enjoy cooking and having a glass of wine on the couch, but also enjoy my own space.
I am moving to Canberra to pursue my PhD in Astrophysics at ANU. I am an Indian citizen. I am fairly flexible and easygoing. I have lived in a hostel in India for 4 years before I spent my last year traveling the world for different projects. I have lived for 3 months in Boston (US) and Canberra and then I spent the last few months working on a project in England. I have lived with different kinds of people from different backgrounds and countries (male students, female students, female professionals and families with kids) and all my stays have been really wonderful. I am very passionate about science and research. I am equally involved in social and outreach activities wherever I have lived. I like to have a drink or two here and there and like to socialize, binge watch Netflix and read books. Ping me if you would like to talk to me. References available on request!
I am a facilities coordinator working in the city looking for a studio or room with ensuite/ own bathroom in Civic or closeby suburbs. An ambivert, mostly keep to myself but wouldn't mind a drink or hanging out. Like to keep the place tidy and respect privacy. Into football, metal, anime, hiking and gaming.
Hey! I'm a happy, relaxed person who enjoys video games, TV shows, and loves getting outside. I am in Defence so naturally I am clean, tidy and have lived with others. I am social and enjoy making friends, so I would prefer to be friends with my roommate(s) though I definitely value my down time. I'm down for a household meal once a week or so to catch up (e.g. Sunday morning pancakes gatherings), or a games night. I work Monday - Friday and in the afternoons I enjoy listening to music, cruising the interwebs and am more than happy for a chat. Most Saturday mornings I like to go to the markets and usually cook up food for the week. I also enjoy hikes, grabbing coffee or finding random activities around Canberra. Most nights I like to stay home and read or jump on Netflix. I do occasionally like exploring the Canberra nightlife but am back by a decent hour and I don't go out on school nights. My ideal household is a laid-back environment with everyone understanding their role in the house and acting proactively. Teamwork makes the dreamwork. Both Male and Female roommates are welcomed. Look forward to meeting you!
