Hi, I'm Daniel and I work full-time in the public service. I've been living in a 2-person sharehouse in Watson, and lived in a 4-person sharehouse in Braddon previously. WHAT LOCATION I'M LOOKING FOR: I'm looking for a place within walking distance to the Canberra Centre, or somewhere close to a bus stop. THE HOUSE/ROOM I'M LOOKING FOR: The place I'm looking for would ideally have an ensuite, covered parking space, dishwasher, washing machine, and a bedroom with enough space for a queen bed, large desk, and digital piano (not necessary though!). WHEN AND HOW LONG I'M LOOKING TO MOVE: I can move in with a few weeks notice, but am flexible with a move in date. I'm interested in a 12 month lease, but am happy to negotiate. WHAT I CAN BRING: I've got furniture for my room, but can also offer an iron and ironing board, large chest freezer, and some things for the kitchen. If there's anything else you're looking for, let me know and I'll see if I can help too. My ideal housemate/s would be friendly, sociable (but also understanding of personal space), tidy, and of either gender. I believe it's important to have a coffee/beer/dinner every now and then so we wouldn't be complete strangers to each other, but I value me time too! If you'd like to chat or meet up over coffee, let me know. I'm also happy to provide references.
Hello! We are a young couple from Indonesia doing masters at the ANU. My partner Ardi will have to find a new place from February, and I will join him from July. So we are looking for a place which is flexible for a couple. We are friendly and easy-going people, hardworking and a bit of obsessed with cleanliness xd so we are always excited whenever we have to do house-cleaning activities (it does help to release stress from uni workload though!). I love cooking and enjoy watching films and reading books, and both of us are great fans of cats :D Always be happy to have nice conversations with everyone about anything. Cheers!
Hi Everyone I work part time for a youth mental health organisation in Canberra and am also studying counselling. I consider myself easy going, clean and tidy, approachable and sociable but I also welcome down time. I love dancing, spontaneous adventures, a cocktail here and there and spending time outdoors...to name a few things :) I am looking to move into a new space either beginning of December 2018 or January 2019. Would love to hear from anyone who feels we might be a good fit.
I am the girl on the left in the photo. I am an outdoors, sporty female that loves a good social event. I enjoy new adventures and love dogs. I am a clean and neat person to live with. I love to cook, try new exciting food and love trying new cafes and ice-cream places. I also have a 6 month old dog, his name is Leo. Leo is very friendly and loves meeting new people and dogs. I am looking to move out of home with Leo when I start my new full-time trainee ship in the public service. It starts in November but am happy to move out after that.
Hey future friends, getting in early to look for a sharehouse to move in late Jan 2019, but I can be a bit flexible with paying rent from earlier if that's what's needed to lock in the right place! I'm doing the classic move from Melbourne to Canberra for a grad job. I've lived in share houses and on campus for the last seven years so am well up to speed with shared-space etiquette. Ideally I would like to share with people who are keen to get to know each other and hang out a bit, but also expect to be busy and tend to be out of the house a lot with work, gym etc so happy to respect space and quiet time. I'm vegetarian (but don't mind whether or not you are) and a bit of a foodie, like reading/theatre/arts/movies/galleries, am keen to get in on some Canberra outdoors-y activities and have this idea that after I move I'm going to start crossfit (we'll see how that goes). I'm stuck in Melbourne working and then travelling over Christmas/New Year, so won't be able to come up to see houses before the move, so skype interviews/inspections will have to be the go. Please be in touch if you think it might be a fit!
Hey future roomie! As you'd probably already established, I'm Georga, I am 25 years young (old) and am currently living in Bonner (the end of the world 😭) I moved to Canberra almost 2 years ago and absolutely adore it here. I work in construction full time. I like a drink, and love nothing more than cutting loose on weekends (I start work super early during the week so no late nights for this Grandma) I am a very social person and would like entertaining friends on the weekends with BBQ's and wines. Reason for moving is wanting to be closer to work (lyneham) so inner north is preferred. I come with bedroom furniture a BBQ and an outdoor lounge setting. Parking is a must. Bonus points for a dog! About you: I would love to live in a sociable, friendly and generally happy household. X
Hi! I am looking to move to the city/belco area. I work full time at a law firm and study law at UC part time. When i am home i am studying or cooking. I have a cat (2 years old, lovely, big boy) and also a dog (mini fox terrier, 1 year old). Cat is indoors at night, on my bed or the couch and outdoors during the day. Dog is the same, back yard preferably so she can play during the day. I then take her for walks most nights and on the weekends. She is trained and doesn't make a mess. Just wants cuddles and to pay tug of war! Looking for a 2-3 bedroom house with ultimately, although not necessary, my own bathroom. A house mate that is clean and tidy and doesn't mind if i have my boyfriend over a few nights a week. I am an Australian girl, 23, a hard working professional and will keep the house tidy. I am not a vegetarian but not opposed to someone that is. I am LGBT friendly. Don't mind if you smoke outside. Let me know if you have any questions!
I am a Swiss master student from ETH Zürich who will be working on my Master Thesis for 5 weeks at CSIRO in Canberra. I have lived in many shared flats in Switzerland but would like to get to know some people in Australia. I will be quite busy with my thesis but in my spare time always enjoy conversations and discussions about anything from the environment, modern society, politics, farming to psychological phenomena! I enjoy cooking and eating together if people are around. I am a very clean person and would of course help with chores etc.
Sophia and I (Emma) are full time students at the ANU, studying a Bachelor of Art History and Curatorship/Bachelor of Visual Arts and a Bachelor of Music (Performance)! We're both pretty laid back, respectful and clean up after ourselves. We both love to hang out with friends but also enjoy having downtime alone. In our spare time, we like to explore the city, watch movies and cook. If you're okay with hearing some classical flute, singing or an easel being set up in the house, we'd love to stay!
Hi! I'm full time uni student at ANU, who works part time and is looking for a place for 2019. I'm super chill with numbers/genders/nationalities, and am really easy to get along with. As a housemate, I'm neat, tidy, and friendly, and I love to cook. I'm always up for a movie night, chill drinks, or a night out, but I also appreciate my alone time. I love animals and would be happy if you had pets (I sadly don't), and I like walking, running, netball and touch footy. I'm super chill and flexible, and pretty difficult to piss off, so I usually fit in anywhere :)
Current lease ends at January 22nd 2019, looking for a place to move in immediately after that > full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car (so that my roommate and I can go out and have fun on holidays)
Annie Hey! My name's Annie and I study International Security & Political Science at ANU. My interests include ps4 games, everything nerdy and growing my teapot collection. I like to keep to myself but I'm always up for a chat. Celeste Hi! I'm Celeste and I study Engineering at ANU. I enjoy computer games, nights in with a glass of wine and everything food (as long as it's vegetarian)!!! I'm from Brisbane and I currently work at a clothes boutique store in Woden. Lily Hello. My name is Lily and I'm from Sydney. I'm studying IR and Law at ANU. I'm quite a relaxed person who just likes to watch the bachelor with a cup of tea in hand. I'm quite an artsy person; I enjoy Frankie magazines, gorman fashion and making pom-pom garlands.
Hi:) i am supposed to live since 30 October in Canberra. I will come to Canberra to meet new people, work and get some rest. I think myself neat, happy person and active. Normally I'd like to get some exercise, grab a bites and chat with others. I look forward to stay at good place with neat mates.
Hello, I am working in Braddon and I am looking to be close to work. I moved to Canberra last year and have been living on the southside. I am a non smoker and prefer to live in a non smoking house. I work as project manager for the government. I enjoy getting outdoors when I can and cooking. Please feel free to contact me. Laurence
Hey there, my name is Rach and I live in Adelaide but I'm moving to Canberra in 2019 to work as a graduate in the APS. I'm looking for flatmates who are easy going, friendly, and enjoy a wine or two. I'm looking for flatmates who want to be friends, and spend the odd day or night together watching netflix/going for walks/watching the footy or having a BBQ. That being said, I'm also respectful of time to ourselves, and will need a bit of this to catch up on work and study, and go home to Adelaide every now and then. What can I bring to the table? Nice wine glasses, cheese knives and platters, coffee cups, and decent cooking skills. What can you bring? Hopefully a table! I'm good to keep things clean and tidy, pull my weight and pay my bills on time. In my spare time I like to be social, play with my dog Charlie (unfortunately he's not coming with me), scout out good coffee and good wineries. Coming from South Australia, I'm into things like supporting small wineries, local producers and farmers markets. It also means I'm used to being able to get anywhere in 20 minutes, so I'm looking for places in areas close to my work in Barton. If you think we'd get along, and you've got a room free around January/February 2019, please get in touch!
Hey guys, I’m looking to move in to a place at the start of Feb 2019. I’m a psychology student at ANU and I’m pretty easy going. I’d love to live with a few respectful and friendly people, and I’m not concerned about gender/numbers. I’m clean and tidy and would prefer my housemates to be the same in shared spaces. I love animals and will go crazy for pets! I also enjoy cooking together every now and again. If you think we’d get on, let’s chat!
I’m very flexible in terms of associating myself with other housemates: I can be really outgoing and after a glass of wine, or just low key wanting to watch a fire or Netflix on a Thursday night. Currently studying full time at uni and also working part-time - so definitely stressful trying to relocate!! I’m also a ski and snowboard instructor, so free lessons if you would like to offer me a place to live in March hahaha!
