I have lived in Sydney for 7 years and now I am moving to Canberra to study and work. I like having a place that is super tidy and clean, like my space but also to hang out, have good laugh and chat. I love watching movies and series, but also like the outdoors.
I’m a full time public servant who is also studying part time. I’m originally from sunny Western Australia. I enjoy keeping fit and playing sports. This is balanced by a baking addition (if you have a sweet tooth be prepared for diabetes) and love of bad television. I’m social and friendly, always up for a chat, coffee, gin or trashy television but I’m respectful of the need for personal space and not living in each other pockets. I’ve lived in sharehouses for quite some time and appreciate a clean and tidy home and am respectful of my housemates :) Ideally I’m looking for somewhere around Kingston/Braddon/Turner/Campbell etc so that I can cycle to work in Barton however but will consider outside of that.
My name is Rob, I am a young professional working full time in Barton I'm looking for a new place in the Inner North/Inner South - as my previous sharehouse has recently broken up up after a year and a half and the commute from Gungahlin is absolutely killing me! I'm tidy, reliable, have positive rental and credit history and also like to have fun from time to time. Looking to move out in March(ish) but pretty flexible with dates. More detail if you haven't hit 'x' already: - I've lived in share houses for two years and was on the lease at my previous place (full bond returned). Before that I lived in a residential hall at the ANU for three years. - As a housemate I'm low drama and tidy. I've lived with mixed houses and grew up with sisters so I am pretty well trained on all the dos and don'ts of bathroom and kitchen etiquette. - I'm pretty work focused during the week and travel more than occasionally on weekends - but happy to be social with my housemates and involve them in my social life and activities. - I love catching up with friends, reading, listening to music, catching the Rugby in winter, trying out new restaurants and bars, collecting records, writing, going to public lectures, plays, and films, jogging, hiking and camping. I also volunteer pretty actively. Very open to new interests as well! Hope to hear from you soon!
I have a wide variety of interests and get along with almost anyone. Some activities I enjoy are motorcycling, reading philosophy, fitness/nutrition and learning new recipes. I spent the first half of 2017 working as an accountant and then the last 6 months travelling Asia and Europe. I am a clean and tidy person and I don't like it when people keep a messy household.
I am a master student of ANU and my major is Business information systems. I am a fantastic flatmate because I am generous, considerate, independent and mature. I hope you are the same. I am a big music fan, especially rock. I love singing and play some instruments in my spare time. I also enjoy running the in sun by the lake and cooking.
Hi all, It's Namyoung :) simple things about myself, Asian female, a ft student, from South Korea, friendly&tidy, I love chatting with flatmates and having dinner together sometimes but NOT a party house. I'm finding a room within walking distance or approx 15-20mins by bike from ANU. If the room has a separate toilet and bathroom, I can pay up to 280pw inclusive of all bills. Pls msg me if u r intersted in it. I prefer a female house but a mixed up accommodation is fine as well.
I'm a new student at ANU starting this year - 2018. I'm sociable and easy to interact with, I won't bother you often but do enjoy an occasional idle chatter or conversation. I usually go out to do club activities, hang with friends or go to the gym (as soon as I settle down). I wouldn't mind describing myself more on a listing, but would rather have a face-to-face conversation if you would like to get to know me better. Sorry for the long introduction!
I’m Hannah, a new Canberran as of the end of Jan. I'll be working full time for the APS and I’m keen to find my new home, hopefully somewhere within bike riding distance from the centre of town. I have shared houses for a few years and am a quiet and considerate housemate, respectful of personal space and like to tidy up after myself. After hours I enjoy wine and cheese dinners and beers on a Friday, but I am also looking forward to getting out and about in Canberra! To balance out the fun, I also try to be reasonably active (social sport, running, bike rides etc.). If you think I’d be a good fit for your place, please let me know. Cheers, Hannah
Originally from Adelaide, looking for a place to live while I do complete my degree at ANU. Currently unemployed but I do have Centrelink and am relatively good with money so I’d never be late with rent. I’m a pretty basic white girl cook, but I also always clean up after myself. Love animals, can get along with anyone.
I'm a student/entrepreneur from Newcastle. I'm in my first year of studying International Business at ANU and also run an investment company that deals with commercial and residential properties. I'd say i am a reserved person and easy to get along with. I have been told that I am mature for my age and have been living away from home since i was 16. I'm respectful and believe in treating others how i wish to be treated. I go the gym a few times a week and train for Krav Maga. I try to stay as busy as possible but I'm always down to hang out in my free time. For fun I mostly play games, watch UFC/boxing and waste money on eBay by buying parts for my car. I'm also learning mandarin for Uni so having chinese flatmates would be awesome. I have lived in 5 countries and speak 4 languages (English, Urdu, Punjabi and Saraiki) + 1 dialect. I'm looking to move into a place asap.
I'm a 22 year-old studying law and international security at the ANU. I'm friendly, easy-going, and respectful :) I love to travel and have just spent a semester abroad, so I'm looking for a new place to stay. I'm tidy, clean and have lived in a share house before so I know the drill :)
I moved to Canberra from the Gold Coast and currently work in the Australian public service. As a public servant I am an individual who loves to please and serve other people. In my spare time I love to play soccer as it reminds me of my Brazilian origin. Anyway, why do I believe I will be a great flatmate? I believe I will be a great individual to live with because I am social, calm, modest, approachable, understanding and pleasant. What motivates me in life is seeing the positive impact of my work in other people’s lives. I believe it is crucial for me to always be in a good mood so that I can positively affect everyone around me. I always put a lot of effort in understanding, appreciating and learning from people’s differences. I am very confident that you will find not only find a good flatmate but also a really good friend in me.
Malaysian. ANU Student. Aspiring Future Data Scientist. Working Part-time at the ANU. I enjoy watching movies and TV dramas ("The Greatest Showman", "The Shape of Water", and "Call Me By Your Name" are my recent favorites). I love baking and playing board games once in a while. Probably that's all about me for now. :)
Hey, I'm Cameron. I'm working full time as an electronics engineer in Canberra's East, and looking for somewhere to call home. I've been living in a sharehouse interstate for the last 5 or so months and you will find me to be friendly, respectful, and easy to get along with (and I welcome you to get one of my current housemates to vouch for that - just ask). I'll keep the place reasonably tidy and pitch in for chores. I like enough of my own space, and respect that you probably do to, but otherwise tend to be up for a chat, even over a few drinks or a shared meals from time to time. I enjoy nerdy stuff like books and board games, but I also enjoy good conversations, getting out among some good scenery, and am keen to get out and explore our illustrious capital. So what am I after? I'd like to be within 20 minutes drive of work, 30 max (and obviously somewhere to park my car). Bonus points if I can cycle within 30-40 minutes too. (Preferred suburbs above are a guide only!) I'm after housemates who are easy to get along with, respectful, reasonably tidy, and will respect my need for enough of my own space and privacy. That said, I'm keen to live somewhere at least somewhat homely, so after housemates who want to hang out or just stop for a chat sometimes too. It's important that I meet (or at least talk to) all of the current housemates first. Also, I'm not interested in sharing with any couples (sorry!). As advertised, I'm after about 6 months, but there's a reasonable chance I'll look to stay for longer. The house will be big enough that I am able to have space from other people when I need it - whether or not much of that space is in my room. I also have my own bedroom furniture. Like what you see, but more questions? Don't hesitate to ask!
I am looking for a room to rent with flexible length of stay. I need a base from which I can organise a more permanent move to the city. I am originally from the UK but have lived in Asia for most of the last 10 years (including a short spell in Canberra). I work as a scientist. I am no part animal but am sociable, easy going and reasonable to live with. I like being out doors (cycling, running or walking). Always happy to chat.
Recently moved up to Canberra for work and looking for a place close to the city. I'm friendly, outgoing and really enjoy an evening vino (or tea) and looking forward to exploring all Canberra has to offer, especially the eateries! A little about me, I'm quite laid back, clean and tidy and spent the majority of the last 2 years overseas and sharing tiny spaces so have learnt a great deal about the art of house sharing. I'm an avid movie buff who enjoys a variety of different genres and attempt to spend most Sunday night's during Formula1 season watching the races. Makes for a difficult monday but mostly worth it! If you would like to find out anything more please feel free to get in touch!
Hi, I'm passionate about recycling, helping out, great at fixing things, and have a very sociable Jack Russell who loves attention and a ball. Currently renting in Gungahlin (last 14 months), I work full time in Civic (I.T.), and want to be closer to work so I can ride my bike ($16.70 for parking is ridiculous). I spend some weekends at coast or camping/visiting friends/kids interstate. Looking for a place that has a secure outside yard and a space to park the car.
Easy going, good natured mature guy in his late 30’s. just recently moved back to Canberra from Melbourne working full time as a hospitality professional with one of Australia’s leading Hotel groups. Clean, tidy, respectful always up for a chat but also likes my own space and a bit of quiet down time when not working. Outside of work I enjoy exercising (Gym, running ect) socialising, the occasional drink here and there and traveling to see friends between the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne when I have the time. Perfered flat mate would have to be LGBT friendly.!
