Originally from Adelaide and moving to Canberra after living in Sydney for 4 years. I'm an engineer working full-time and studying part-time who loves sport, music and having a beer. Looking for a friendly, down-to-earth housemate(s) to live with ideally looking for a long term stay.
Hello! I’m moving from Sydney to Canberra to start a new job in government. I’ll be working full-time, however I am looking forward to meeting new people and exploring the city. I am a relaxed, clean and tidy person and I enjoy socialising but also respect the importance of personal space. When not working, my interests include reading and hanging out, but I am also fond of being active (hiking and gym). I look forward to hearing from you.
Hey there! I'm moving to Canberra from Adelaide in Feb 2019 to start as an APS Graduate (I know that's still a while away but I thought I might try and get a jump on the crowds..) I've lived in share houses for the last few years and have loved it - I'm friendly, very relaxed and more than happy to pull my weight with cleaning and cooking etc etc. I'm looking for a house of people who are easy going and who are keen to hang out and share a meal and a few drinks every now and again. That said, I also know how crazy work and study can be and we all need time alone to recharge. A little more about myself... I love hiking, camping and getting outdoors, I try to ride my bike wherever I can, and I try to live sustainably. I enjoy cooking and baking and Netflix binging in my free time. I've accumulated quite a bit of furniture and some appliances - couches/coffee table/fridge/washing machine and so on - which I'm more than happy to supply if you need it. Otherwise an empty bedroom to call my own is all I need. If you think we'd get along and you might have a free room around the start of 2019 please let me know! Cheers :)
I needed a delicious glass of Malbec to start this profile. If you don't know what Malbec is.....then listen closely. What you are hearing is the sound of Argentinian winemakers weeping uncontrollably. That was a touch dramatic... Anyway, about myself. I'm 34, full time professional and former public servant (now I work for a certain New Zealand based outdoor gear retailer). If I've learnt anything from living in 9 cities on 3 continents, it's that flexibility, a good sense of humour, and compassion go a long way. I enjoy a social drink and you're likely to find me in the kitchen with a glass of red and something delicious in the pan. And yes, I clean up after myself:) While I do love sincere conversation and genuinely like to connect with the people I'm living with, I'm also very respectful of others' space and privacy. If I've had a hard day I'll probably retreat to my room to watch Scandinavian crime dramas and possibly indulge in some connoisseur icecream. Having lived in a few share houses, it's about balance. I'm one of those rare people who straddles the introvert/extrovert divide (INFP/ENFP split), so I tend to get along well with both because I have both those aspects to my personality. Wow, this is starting to feel like an essay, so I won't keep you much longer. I'm just a fan of the written word, and I generally don't do things by half-measure. What am I looking for in the ideal room? Hopefully it's large enough to at least fit a double bed, desk, chair, and set of drawers. I would love to find a furnished room, but if it's unfurnished, it's nothing Ikea can't remedy (and watching me assemble Ikea furniture is amusing....like watching fur seals trying to go up a staircase. It's a trainwreck but you can't look away...) Anything else I should mention about myself? I enjoy healthy food, good books, good tv series, current affairs (I was an Asian Studies and Language major at uni), languages (a little Korean and French), exercise, and if it weren't for a somewhat recent MTB crash on Stromlo, I'd probably be mountain biking every other day. At the moment I'm just filling the void with some good hill-running. As for the kind of household I'd ideally try to find? A place with warm and friendly people basically. Watching movies together from time to time and sharing a drink and a laugh. Cooking in the kitchen while swapping stories about the insanity and the hilarity that is life. Sharing the load, everyone pitching in to clean occasionally in their spare time so no single housemate is left doing the majority of the cleaning. So, if you're looking for an easy going, responsible, down to earth, and kind housemate...please get in contact:) I'm ready to move from about December 3rd but I'm flexible. Getting in contact: I work full-time so the best way to get in touch is by email or text message. Look forward to hearing from you :) Cheers, Marty
I'm a sociable fun and bubbly person with a great sense of humor, (well at least I think so! Lol) I know how to respect privacy and space, wont go in your room, touch your stuff or eat your food. And won't cramp your style if you have friends over but also happy to say hello in passing through and have a social chat. Very considerate when it comes to communal house areas and replacing things like washing powder and toilet paper. Easy to get along with, love gardening and animals. Everyone I have lived with can give me a reference happy to pass on details. Work for myself as an event planner so away every weekend. Happy to meet up for interviews and can pay cash on the spot for bond and rent. Hoping to secure somewhere ASAP, our lease ends this Sunday.
I’m low maintenance, flexible, clean and easy to get along with. I will be a third year at uni, working part time and I’ve lived in student/shared accomodation before (self catered of course). Feel free to message me and I’m more than happy to team up!
Hi there! I'm moving down to Canberra for a 12 month government IT contract, starting November 12. When I lived in Canberra previously, I tended to spend a fair bit of my time mountain biking and motorcycling. These days however I'm more into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and keen to snowboard over winter.
I like to watch football, hockey and rugby match. I love music so much. I'm a very open, easy-going & cool person. I enjoy having few talks and drinks whenever I'm free & also respect others privacy and personal space as I also needed mine at times. A tidy, clean & well-mannered person. Sunday is normally my "Netflix, Chill & Relax" day :D but I don't mind going for a walk if my housemate needed a company. I like to cook but I also like to try new foods. I'm from Malaysia, studied in Brisbane before :) I'm looking opportunity to work part-time as I want to earn extra pocket money.
ANU graduate, now working at the Department of Pacific Affairs at ANU. Originally from India, but have been living in Canberra for about 4 years now. I'm looking for a place that I can call home and chill people to live with. Cleanliness, respect, bad puns and love for Lord of the Rings is all I'm looking for in a housemate/s. Shouldn't be too much. Yeah? I come with a Netflix, Stan, Prime Video and Spotify subscription as well as a Chromecast and a PS4!
Hey all! I’m currently in search of a new home with some groovy people. I would be looking for a room in an existing share, or for people to join up with in the search for a new place. I’m pretty easy-going as a housemate - I like to keep things tidy and pull my weight in terms of chores around the place. I like the idea of having a relatively social household, but also am very respectful of people’s space. When not at uni or work, you will probably find me cooking/baking something, playing netball, or tracking down some live music. In terms of what I’m looking for, other than some wonderful humans to live with, I do have a car and so would like some sort of parking. Other than that, everything is pretty flexible. My move-in date is also pretty flexible. Whilst my current lease is until the 21st of February, I would be open to some overlap in dates for the right place.
Hello, we are exchange students coming to Canberra from Canada for Semester 1 in 2019. One of us is studying at ANU and the other at UoCanberra. We are both clean roommates, who are looking to be immersed in what the city has to offer, and super excited to meet new people!
I am moving down from Brisbane to Canberra for a graduate role but have been living in a flat-share for the last 5 years. I am easy-going and would love a housemate/s that are up for hanging out, drinking some wine and watching movies. I am looking to move in anytime between 1st January 2019 - 1st February 2019 and would also prefer a longer-term lease (at least 6 months) but that is negotiable. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
I'm a lawyer (formerly a Canberra local but currently overseas) coming to Canberra for a 3 month work stint. I've lived in a lot of sharehouses and think I make a good housemate; I'm tidy, quiet and will be working weekdays and probably away every other weekend. I only need a place until mid-Feb but am flexible about location (preferably south side or city for an easy commute to Tuggeranong)! I'm interested in either a self-contained apartment/granny flat or a room in a sharehouse with its own bathroom. I look forward to hearing from you :)
Hi! I'm a recent Computer Science Graduate who's moving to Canberra from Newcastle to work full time doing Cyber Security Consulting in the private sector. i'm clean and tidy and like to help around the house. I have a quiet personality however love to socialise. I'll be working the majority of the day, however at night i like to relax and play games, go to the gym or watch some netflix. If you have a room to offer or would like me to team up with you, I’d love to hear from you! Cody :)
I'm 31 and work full-time as a health professional, moved down from Sydney two years ago to finish my postgraduate studies. I'm easy going, enjoy sharing a meal, watching TV shows, reading, and being active. On my days off you're likely to find me hitting the gym or playing futsal. My preference is for a sharehouse with one or two other people. I'm friendly but know how to give give people space. I can look after a home and keep things clean. If it sounds like I'd be a good fit please feel free to call or message me.
Hey guys, I’m looking to move in to a place in the inner north at the start of Feb 2019. I’m a psychology student at ANU and I’m pretty easy going. I’d love to live with some respectful and friendly people, I’m not concerned about gender, and I would ideally have at least two housemates (the more the merrier!). I’m clean and tidy and would prefer my housemates to be the same in shared spaces. I'm a fan of regular "house meetings" aka drinks (be it tea or beer) and hanging out. I love animals and will go crazy for pets! I also enjoy cooking together every now and again. If you think we’d get on, let’s chat!
G'day, I'm in the process of transferring to ANU for my 3rd yearish studies in IT. I have experience living in shared accommodation, small rooms, and weekly cleanliness inspections. I am excellent at staying tidy and would prefer housemates who keep areas clean. I'm a fun, laid back dude who'd be keen on getting to know new people. On my off time, I enjoy working out, surfing, bouldering, gaming, and all round relaxing. Whilst I enjoy socialising, I am an avid believer of everybody needing their own space and downtime. I'd like fellow flatmates who are also clean, friendly, and sociable but respects other people's private time. Non-smokers ideally. Looking to move into sharehouse/flat, preferably with only 1 or 2 other people or teaming up with someone and hitting up the rental market Unfortunately I'm allergic to all pets known to man except reptiles and fish apparently.
Well, I love video games, music, movies and board games. I’m a pop culture nerd who is looking to move closer to the city. I work most of the day do you prob only see me at night during the week, but weekends I like to go out and have fun. I enjoy being social but respect others privacy.
Hey! We're a couple moving down to Canberra in Jan/Feb 2019 for work/study. Elena is starting her PhD at ANU, and Oskar is starting work at the ATO. We're both very flexible people - we appreciate the need for private bedroom space, but will happily chill in the living space with other housemates after work and on weekends. Around the house we're both very low maintenance, the sort of people who'll make the effort to wash up the dishes in the evening so we don't have to deal with it in the morning. In her spare time, Elena loves reading, drinking tea, and playing hockey. Oskar plays a lot of ultimate frisbee, listens to music, and enjoys being out-and-about. We're both casual trumpet players, though we only practice once or twice a week so don't worry about the noise! We're looking for 1-3 people to share a house with somewhere within 7km or so (cycling distance) of ANU. We don't have any strong preferences in housemates, as long as they're roughly 18-30yrs old, don't smoke inside the house, and are socially accepting people. We hope to hear from you soon :)
I am Dean, a Graduate in the APS - with previous experience in the Queensland State Government. I hold a Law Degree from Griffith University. I am looking to move into a house/apartment in Canberra in February 2019 - either in the inner north or inner south of Canberra. I am a friendly, outgoing individual who enjoys making friends, going out to bars and having adventures. I am a clean person, who is easy to talk to and get along with. I am originally from Esk (a small country town) in Queensland about 100km's North West of Brisbane.

Hi, I'm Riley! I'm moving up to Canberra from Adelaide in early 2019 to work full-time as a legal grad. Ideal move-in date is early-mid Jan, but can be flexible in starting earlier if necessary. I'll be working in Forrest, and am especially keen on places riding distance from there. I love cooking, indoor plants, campy horror, lentils, hiking, and brunches. I'm looking for a relaxed and reasonably social queer-friendly sharehouse where people chat and share a drink or dinner every so often. I'm tidy (used to work as a cleaner and habits stick!) and reliable, but not pass-agg about it. At the moment I’m living with my partner Cam and three other people. Cam will be staying in Adelaide for 2019, however he'll be coming up to visit on weekends a few times a year and for slightly longer periods twice a year during university breaks (he works as an academic). Ideally this would include about 3 weeks in mid Jan-early Feb, but very happy to discuss how this could work. He bakes and makes excellent cauliflower curry and is very good value. Would love to hear from you! Feel free to message or text.
