Two ANU students heading into our fourth year of psychology/French (Rhi) and PPE/development studies (Imo). We are outgoing, social and fun (we hope) but still tidy, reasonably studious and very respectful of privacy. In 2020, we will both be studying full-time while also working on a casual basis. Ideally looking for somewhere as close to uni/the city as possible! Can be flexible with move in date but are both currently on exchange until early Jan and early Feb respectively. We’d love to live with like-minded people who are keen on happy communal living ☺️
Hi, I am a consultant and my company has asked me to relocate me from Brisbane to Canberra. I am looking for a housemate who enjoys good banter, great food and wine and a bit of dancing. During my downtime I am always up for anything that equals fun and adventure. I am tidy and respectful of other people's space and belongings. If this sounds ok to you let me know 🙂
Sydney gal moving to Canberra for an APS grad job in 2020. Looking for some easy-going, social and considerate housemates - happy with a room in an existing share house or a team-up! I enjoy brunching, going to gigs and festivals, playing soccer, eating Messina, and watching AFL. I’ve lived in a share house before and enjoy my privacy and space (and will be respectful of yours) but equally enjoy a yarn over a glass of wine after a long day. I would ideally like to move in Jan and live somewhat centrally, but am flexible on both of these things! Shoot me a message if you have a room or are also looking for a place and think we’d be a good match!
Hi. I am a professional, work full time as a management consultant, with the majority of my current clients and business network are based in around the city. I am an engineer and economic analyst by qualification and previously worked with some consulting businesses and with the ANU in Canberra. Now I am looking for a rental (shared) property close to the city. I lived, studied and worked many years in Holland, Japan and Indonesia, which include living 9 years in shared properties in Holland. I am a sociable person, I enjoy making new friends but also respect the privacy of others. I am clean, do not smoke, love sports (badminton, volleyball and soccer), cycling, singing, playing guitar, beach and sea-fishing. I love dogs and cats, so no problems if there are dogs or cats in the property. At home and at work I am tidy and clean. I am also involved in a few social and business organisations in Canberra. I generally don't drink but for social occasions, I can enjoy good wine and beer. With a certain budget mentioned above, and long term, I would like to team up in a two-bedroom property/house/apartment. Otherwise getting a shared property from an existing tenant is fine too. I still prefer a two-bedroom property over a three-bedroom one. Ideally, the property has a covered car space or off-street car parking. For teaming up, I am looking for an unfurnished property. In my storage, I have stuff that can be shared (for free) for usage in the dining/lounge rooms such as a few couches, dining table and chairs, large TV, kitchen/cooking equipment, etc. You only need to bring your stuff to be put in your bedroom. If you think that we can team up, or you want to share your property, please let me know and send me a message.
Hi, I'm Harrison although most people call me Harry. I'm 24, currently living in Melbourne and moving the Canberra (ideally early December) as I start a job in the private sector in 2020. I'm an easy-going, social guy that enjoys having a quiet beer and a good conversation but I'm equally happy to just binge Netflix on the couch. I'd say I'm quite neat and I've lived with other people in the past and understand housemate etiquette. My main hobby is athletics, I'm a 400m runner, and I spend most of my afternoons either at the track or in the gym. I'm also into my music, with a small record collection and a couple of guitars. Looking for a team-up
I’m relocating to Canberra from Melbourne to work for an APS grad program. I’m a social person and like to share a drink and chat but I also enjoy my own time and respect others need to do the same. I’m friendly, tidy and down to earth. In my spare time I like to lead an active lifestyle, go camping, explore new places, read, binge watch a good series or bake (and yes, that means my future flatmates will likely benefit in baked goods). I’m looking for a room that’s within walking distance to the city. I’m hoping for flatmates that like to be social from time to time, even better if we share some common interests. Ideally looking for 6-12 months stay but I’d be happy to start with 6 months so that we have time to suss out if we’re a good fit for each other.
Hi there, my name's Felicity and I'm a current master student in physics at the ANU. I'm an easy-going and friendly person who's up for anything. I think getting along with housemates is important so I guess above all else, I'm looking for people that can make me look forward to coming home. When I'm not plotting away at uni, I like to go cycling and bouldering with my friends. Ideally, I'd be looking for a place either close to the city or near a bus/tram stop as I go to Sydney once a month and lugging around a big suitcase can be a hassle.
I'm looking for my own room with BIRs, large enough for a double bed and desk, while finishing up my PhD at ANU, ET 3-6 months, with a possible longer stay, dependent on PhD/work situation. I'm aiming for locations within a 15 min driving distance from ANU. I have savings which can guarantee my share of rent and bills for at least 7 months, and also have intermittent work demonstrating, tutoring and invigilating. I'm a very clean person with few obsessive quirks. I'm very happy to pitch in on the shared household chores. Ideally, I would want my own bathroom, or only have to share the bathroom with one other. I do weekly food prep, so would definitely need a functional kitchen and preferably a good oven to bake goodies to share. I have a keen interest in outdoors sports such as tennis, basketball, hiking, cycling and running. I enjoy reading, music, Netflix, sewing, knitting and just having a good chat. I play the harp, but don't practice at weird hours. I'm usually doing my PhD or playing tennis. I am friendly and down for the occasional dinner/drinks/hang but definitely would not suit a party household. I love animals, particularly puppers and kittens, and would be more than happy to join a share with pets (I do not have my own pet/s). I am currently sharing an apartment but our landlord wants to sell and my current housemate is thinking of going to Sydney. I have lived in 2 shares over the last four years and know how to be a considerate and respectful housemate.
My name is Jeremy and I am an easygoing, IT Professional in his 30's who has recently moved to Canberra. I am social but also respect peoples privacy. I am clean and like cooking, so happy to cook an occasional meal for the house.
In between work, uni and sport, I like to watch Netflix (well, any tv streaming app). My favourite cooking method is the oven or microwave... So I make minimal mess when preparing meals. I am tidy and respectful of space; would enjoy chats here and there. For work, I am a cafe all-rounder and barista - so I love coffee and would always be down for brunch! I'm looking for somewhere of a similar dynamic and somewhere in which I can stay long term (>12 months).
Aloha! I'm a 25-year-old who is currently working at the ANU. I am originally from Malaysia and have been in Canberra for the past 5 years (Undergraduate). I really love to bake (sharing happiness with others is a key) and also enjoy watching movies and TV series. Boardgames is my favourite too! I would also love to enjoy casual dinner with housemates once in a while, but would also respect others' schedules and privacy. I'm easygoing and tidy - like to clean the house when I have some free time. Hoping to find like-minded individuals as my housemates. If you think we'll be a good match, swap right (KIDDING) and shoot me a message! Resume and cover letter are definitely not necessary! :)
