I’m told I’m warm and friendly unless you try rick roll me haha. Keep clean, courteous, work quite hard, but don’t take myself too seriously Keep active, spend lots of my time outdoors, have an active social life, not planning on having too many people over Work as a management consultant, teach at ANU, and do a few other things outside of work that fill my days Will be keen to ask how your day went, and also mindful of people wanting space and down time Looking for a chill housemate, and a place to call home
I'm a PhD student at ANU. I like to live in a clean space and enjoy the relaxed company of others. My backup career is to be a chef so I cook every day and will often have baked goods to share with you. In my spare time I play music and climb rocks.
Hello! My name is Anuja. I'm currently doing my master's at ANU and also work part-time. I am looking for a place to stay starting in June/July for at least 6 months (will mostly extend that to more than a year) preferably in a furnished share house/apartment/flat. Please get in touch with me if you have anything available or if you just want to know more about me... A little about me: I am an ambivert. I am always up for some conversation over coffee/a drink. In my free time I catch up with my friends, go for walks/jogs, do like working out occasionally, also like a lit bit of latin dancing, photography, some board games or a game of pool. As a housemate, I am clean, tidy and organised. I respect everyone's space. Would prefer a share house where responsibilities and bills are shared amongst all the housemates. PS: Could be a bit flexible with my budget
Hey there, from Sydney originally but have lived in the ACT for 5.5yrs. I am a full time venue manager for a delish restaurant/bar in Canberra. Few things about me, am very easy going and always up for a laugh. I enjoy listening to music, eating/drinking, puzzles, the odd hike here or there and much more. As a housemate, I never leave a mess behind and understand the boundaries of a share house.
Hey, I'm an APS graduate looking for a new place since my lovely current housemates are both coupling up. :'( I'm originally from Melbourne, living in Lyneham (which I love) and would love to stay within ~30 minute cycling distance of work in NewActon. As a housemate I'm very friendly, considerate and reasonably tidy. I keep very busy, but I love a friendly housemate debrief at the end of the day. I'm vego but I don't care what other people cook or eat. I've lived in sharehouses for many years with great friendly/respectful vibes and I'd love to find that again in my next place. I come with a very cute and well behaved 9 year old Maltese x Cavalier doggo. She mostly keeps to herself but will be your best friend once she gets to know you. I know some landlords are reluctant to accept pets, but she is a wonderful tenant, doesn't shed and comes with great references from my current and previous properties. I'm flexible on my move dates. I'm looking for somewhere any time in the next 2 months - but for the right place, I'll make it work. Hoping to hear from anyone who thinks their place might be a good fit!
Hey guys, I’m looking to find a place close to Lonsdale Street. Work full time and look forward to explore canberra and surround areas. Easy going, clean and respectful roommate, enjoy trying new things and meet up with friends. Like the balance between having time to myself with socialising over good food and a good drink. After living in Germany, Dubai and Sydney now on my way to canberra.
> full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car (so that my roommate and I can go out and have fun on holidays)
Hi, I'm Kim. I'm outgoing, friendly, funny? and I'm enjoying Australia to the fullest. I love a good laugh, dining with friends or just chill with some good wine any day of the week. I see the positive in most things and I love to live. Wine, cars, hiking, traveling, explore new cultures and learn new languages are some of my many passions. I am looking for a new place in Canberra as I will start a new full time job in the middle of June
Hi, I'm Taylor. I work full-time at a consulting firm here in Canberra. I moved to Canberra in 2016 and have really taken to it. I spend a lot of my time at work and travel semi-frequently. In my spare time, I play guitar and keyboard (through headphones!) and read. Looking for a place in the inner north or south. My move date isn't by any means fixed.
27, Male, Moved to Canberra from Melbourne. Works Part time in Hospitality, seeking full-time work. Tidy, social, likes sports, respectable of housemates space and organised.
25-year-old Malaysian, will be coming to Canberra for the first time late June this year to start my PhD at ANU. Quiet, easy-going, and highly respectful of the privacy of others. Non-smoker, love to keep my living environment clean and tidy at all times.
We are a young couple from Newcastle and we are moving to Canberra for work at very short notice. We urgently require short-term accommodation until we can get settled in and find our own place. We would like to move in preferably no later than the beginning of June. Our preferred length of stay is around 2-3 months but we can be flexible with this. Elliott (22 y.o.) - Public servant and Clark Kent look-alike; currently working as a research assistant and finishing the last semester of a commerce degree via distance. Michelle (27 y.o.) - Recently completed a B.A. in politics and international relations; moving to Canberra to work and study at ANU. • We are mature, respectful, and clean up after ourselves. • We're sociable and easy to get along with, but we also appreciate having our own space. • We'll be working full-time hours Monday-Friday and studying during nights/weekends, so we're looking for housemates who are quiet and considerate, especially during the evening. (We don't mind sharing with other students as long as it's not a noisy 'party house' type environment). • We're not adverse to hanging out occasionally — it would be nice to know some locals who can show us around the city and recommend things to see/do in Canberra :) • Hoping to find a room that's already furnished because we'll need time to acquire our own furniture. A queen bed would be ideal because all of our sheets, quilts etc. are queen size (and Elliott is probably too tall to sleep on anything smaller). • We'll need parking space (Elliott has a car and I plan to bring mine down from Newcastle in the near future, too). • I'll be relying on public transport for at least a few weeks, so accommodation located reasonably close to public transport is a must. • We would prefer to have our own bathroom/ensuite (if possible) but we're not in a position to be too fussy. • Decent internet/Wi-Fi and heating/cooling is essential.
Hello! I'm a 23-year-old uni student, moving to Canberra from the Sunshine Coast in June to study at ANU. Looking for a room (preferably with own bathroom) in a friendly flat share with like-minded people. Would love to find a place in Braddon or somewhere just as close to uni. Looking for a tidy household with people who don't mind a Netflix binge or having a few drinks over dinner but also appreciate personal space. I keep a busy life as I like to keep active, study full-time and work part-time. I am really easy going and good at being tidy, making margaritas, paying rent on time and respecting others space.
Sensible, easygoing, and considerate person, looking for accommodation closer to central Canberra. I can be a little reserved at first, however I love meeting new people at the same time and definately enjoy others company. I am often busy with uni / work / various other activities, so whenever I have free time I make an effort to spend it with friends and family - whether it be going out to eat or staying in over a glass of wine. I'd love to find a sharehouse where my flatmates could become new friends, rather than simply flatmates - but I totally respect everyone's personal space and understand that not everyone is the same way and that's fine. Move-in dates and length of stay are quite flexible, I'll try and work around your schedule.
Hey there! I'm a 23y.o. male, recently graduated from uni in Melbourne. As I've picked up a grad position with the APS and am not that familiar with Canberra as of yet, I'm looking to score a sharehouse with some cool roomies to share with while I get my feet wet getting to know the area. As a housemate, I'm a naturally quiet person; but I'm always up a social dinner and drinks with others when the opportunity's there and don't mind a lot of noise. As well, I consider myself neat and clean, and won't shy away from doing my share of the chores to keep the house clean (as well as my own room). Outside of work (or uni over the last 5 years), I enjoy working out and keeping fit - whether it's at the gym or through a game of basketball; as well, lately I've been bingeing on some Netflix, with episodes of Brooklyn 99 on the menu until I finish up all those seasons and start The Office. During the weekends, I'm looking to join some Meetups, as I've done in Melbourne, to meet new people and do different things - e.g. bootcamps, runs, board game nights, rock climbing, etc. That being said, I also enjoy time being on my own, reading a book or long walks with my headphones in. In addition to my job with the APS, I also have part-time work that'll be moving with me - so I'll definitely be able to pay rent on time and meet financial expectations. And I guess as a final sell for why I'd be a great roomie is that I'm always respecting the boundaries and space of others and always open to communication. For conflicts when I'm involved, I'm always open to sit down, chat it out and work a solution - in my past experience living in hostels and sharehouses here and overseas, this always worked out for everyone in the house/building. Hope to meet you soon!
Hi, I'm Lily, soon-to-be PhD student at ANU. I'm quiet and clean, like to share a meal or drinks but sometimes don't come home much because I get wrapped up in what I'm doing at university. On the weekends I like walking around and up mountains.
Hi there, I'm Michèle from Munich, Germany and I will come to Canberra from July until early October and I am lucky enough to be working at the Australian government during that time. As I really enjoy traveling I decided to visit Australia as a part of my training to become a lawyer. People have told me that I'm quite easy to live with because I'm an openminded person. Moreover, one of favorite hobbies is baking and I'm always happy to share cupcakes!
Hi I’m Jill, moving up to Canberra for work in a June and looking for a great share house. I’m really into an active lifestyle and want to explore what this new city has to offer. I’m sociable and will enjoy a shared meal or mid week wine on occasion but also understand the need for personal space. I can confirm I make the best pasta sauce in the world and can provide references from my current housemate. Im clean and tidy and want to live somewhere with someone that shares similar values.
Hi we are Naomi and Anuja, friends from ANU. We are both the postgraduates who are going to graduate in the upcoming July. We are looking for some place to continue our next chapter in Canberra for a transition to full-time professionals. We are easy-going and respect others' space also would like to share the responsibilities of cleaning/cooking. Also neither of us cook very often and are mastered in cooking. Both of us are tidy and clean with no pets with us. We spent the leisure time by watchin movies, dining out or visiting friends.Although we have been in Canberra for 2 years already, we are still keen on exploring new places in Canberra. If you are looking for students/professionals with easy-to-get-on-well personalities, pls shoot an email. Thanks.
