I'm currently studying IR at ANU and am looking into moving off-campus into an already established sharehouse. I would prefer a smaller place, maybe only 1 or 2 other people if possible. I love to just chill out and read (I'm a giant bookworm and spend 90% of my time reading) or watch Netflix (aka I'm a huge homebody). I'm fairly quiet and not the most social person, so the chances of me ever having more than one person over at a time is slim to none, but I love a good chat and movie/trashy TV marathon. I'm very tidy and will always keep up my end of the cleaning deal. Pretty flexible with move-in dates and can do any time between the first of December to the 30th of Jan :)
Hi there, I'm Sarah, a 29 year old PhD student from New Zealand. I lived in Canberra for a few months last year, but am currently doing some research in Europe. I'll be moving back to Canberra in February and am looking for a great house to move in to. I'm fairly outdoorsy - I love hiking and try my best at climbing and trail running. I've lived in quite a few countries and many different share houses, and have been super fortunate to live in some lovely places over the years and am looking for a similarly awesome place in Canberra! I would love to move into a bit of a community house - maybe share the odd meal, definitely share the odd delicious beer (or tea if alcohol is not your thing, tea is great too!). I like board games, singing along at full volume to Disney tunes while cooking, and occasionally watching really terrible reality TV. I'm not really looking to move in anywhere until the start of February, but I thought I'd start the house hunt a little earlier to increase my chances of finding the perfect house. I was living in Dickson previously and would love to be somewhere in that general vicinity (aka somewhere in the inner North would be peeeeerfect). I would love to find a house (rather than an apartment) but I'm not super fussy. A flat dog would be a HUGE bonus, so if you have one that's most definitely not a deal breaker for me moving in. Also a backyard with fruit trees would make me SO HAPPY but I'm trying not to be too specific. Anyway - let me know if you're looking for housemates; if the perfect spot came up, I'd be happy to start paying rent a little early, but probably not before the New Year. I won't be in the country to meet up or check out houses, but absolutely to set up Skype dates/FaceTime/whatever social video media format works for you so that we could chat in person. Cheers, Sarah
Hi! My name is Catherine and I am looking for a room from January onwards (move in between 1 Jan-31 Jan). I am looking for a long-term stay (12 months or longer). About Me: • 21-year-old female • Working as a full-time Accountant in Civic next year • LGBTQI Friendly • I love baking, crafts and gardening among other things • I will keep common areas clean and I am respectful of others space. My ideal share house: • I would love a share house where I can get to know everyone and hang out occasionally whether it be movie nights or pancake brunches. • Prefer to be within walking or biking distance to Civic (Braddon, Turner, Reid etc), but also consider places with a direct bus/tram line to civic. • Rent between $160-240 depending on location/facilities etc • I would prefer a house (as I’d love a garden), but open to apartments. If you or your roommate will be moving out in January and think I will be a good fit for your home please shoot me a message!
I’m relocating to Canberra from Melbourne to work for an APS grad program. I’m a social person and like to share a drink and chat but I also enjoy my own time and respect others need to do the same. I’m friendly, tidy and down to earth. In my spare time I like to lead an active lifestyle, go camping, explore new places, read, binge watch a good series or bake (and yes, that means my future flatmates will likely benefit in baked goods). I’m looking for a room that’s within walking distance to the city. I’m ideally hoping for flatmates that enjoy socialising together from time to time. Ideally looking for 6-12 months stay and I’d be more than happy to start with 6 months so that we have time to suss out if we’re a good fit for each other.
I love getting out doors, i'm pretty laid back, i enjoy cooking reading and juggling. I have two little bunnies that i would love to bring with me. I enjoy being social but i'm not really a party animal.
I'm looking for my own room with BIRs, large enough for a double bed and desk, while finishing up my PhD at ANU, ET 3-6 months, with a possible longer stay, dependent on PhD/work situation. I'm aiming for locations within a 15 min driving distance from ANU. I have savings which can guarantee my share of rent and bills for at least 7 months, and also have intermittent work demonstrating, tutoring and invigilating. I'm a very clean person with few obsessive quirks. I'm very happy to pitch in on the shared household chores. Ideally, I would want my own bathroom, or only have to share the bathroom with one other. I do weekly food prep, so would definitely need a functional kitchen and preferably a good oven to bake goodies to share. I have a keen interest in outdoors sports such as tennis, basketball, hiking, cycling and running. I enjoy reading, music, Netflix, sewing, knitting and just having a good chat. I play the harp, but don't practice at weird hours. I'm usually doing my PhD or playing tennis. I am friendly and down for the occasional dinner/drinks/hang but definitely would not suit a party household. I love animals, particularly puppers and kittens, and would be more than happy to join a share with pets (I do not have my own pet/s). I am currently sharing an apartment but our landlord wants to sell and my current housemate is thinking of going to Sydney. I have lived in 2 shares over the last four years and know how to be a considerate and respectful housemate.
Hey I'm Luke, I am a qualified painter by trade currently living in Canberra with my parents and am looking to move out. I am an honest, hardworking 24 year old, who enjoys gaming and socialising. I am looking for a room share with some like minded people. Looking to move out in December but happy to have look or discuss any potential places beforehand. I have my own car and can bring furniture if required.
Hi, I'm Katherine. I'm looking for a room to rent starting in February next year for Uni. I'll be studying at ANU full time and working part time. I a tidy person who likes to read and listen to my earphones. I'm introverted and like to get an early nights sleep, usually around 9:30. I get up with the birds and like to read for awhile until I have to get ready for either work or school. I'm going to study foreign languages and maybe combine for a double degree, I haven't decided yet. My goals for the foreseeable future (4 years), is to complete my degree and work enough for my rent, as well as to not starve to death.
I’m an easy going girl. I spend a lot of time trying to maintain my fluffy-but-fit lifestyle & dance salsa. I'm moving from Sydney to join the APS and have lived in a share house for the last 2 years- I get the personal space & having a chat balance thing.
Avid book-reader, passionate podcast-listener, and whiskey-enthusiast extraordinaire. Looking for someone neat and tidy. Desperately keen for a garden or a bit of shrubbery for weekend reading in the sunlight, or a few beers late at night.
