My name is Rhiannon and I will be travelling from British Columbia, Canada to Canberra at the end of August to work at ANU as a postdoctoral researcher. I just finished my PhD in Microbiology at UBC, so I am looking forward to this working holiday. Ideally I am looking for a place within walking distance to ANU. This will be my first time visiting Australia so I am hoping to find roommates who are also interested in exploring the city and seeing other parts of the country!
I am moving to Canberra to pursue my PhD in Astrophysics at ANU. I am an Indian citizen. I am fairly flexible and easygoing. I have lived in a hostel in India for 4 years before I spent my last year traveling the world for different projects. I have lived for 3 months in Boston (US) and Canberra and then I spent the last few months working on a project in England. I have lived with different kinds of people from different backgrounds and countries (male students, female students, female professionals and families with kids) and all my stays have been really wonderful. I am very passionate about science and research. I am equally involved in social and outreach activities wherever I have lived. Ping me if you would like to talk to me. References available on request!
Ayden and I are both active individuals who enjoy our downtime when at home. We're both road cyclists and train 15-20 hours per week & are often away racing. Other than cycling, I'm doing my Masters in Architecture at the University of Canberra. Ayden is super easy going and can get along with just about anyone. He spends a lot of the year traveling with races. Looking for a tidy place where we can feel at home.
Clean, easygoing and caring would be the easiest words to describe myself. Although I could consider myself mainly an introvert, I enjoy talking to people and meeting new friends. I’m studying a Bachelor of IT and I am actively looking for work in the industry, while driving Uber as my source of income currently. With nearly 5000 trips completed, my Uber rating is at 4.95 which can be used as a character reference but it also means my future housemates will have a free lift when available. I have previously lived in sharehouses and am an active member of the household, happily doing my share, or more of the chores and enjoy a clean household. I am able to provide previous rental references including from my most recent landlords. I am quite progressive in terms of my social and political views and keep an open mind in what people believe in. I don’t judge and always happy to help out in any way I can. Unfortunately I am a dirty smoker but I only smoke outside and try to keep my habit out of the way. I am bilingual, with Russian and English as my main languages, having been born in Russia but migrating to Australia when I was still a child. Looking for a place to stay for at least 6 months, most likely longer. I am looking for room which would fit at least my king size bed/mattress and hopefully a built in wardrobe. Own bathroom/toilet would be great but not essential. Space for my car would also be essential but I don’t mind if if it’s uncovered or on grass, just somewhere I could park without fear of parking fines/annoyed neighbours. Hope to hear from you soon.
Couple looking for a room near City Centre or surrounding suburbs - north or south side from anytime in August for a 6 month period. We are worldly, no dramas, easy to get on with type of people who are clean and tidy and happy to help out with housework. Definitely up for being social / hanging out / chewing the fat (aka dribbling shit) with coffee, big people drinks, meals, movies, tv sports, exercise and gym but happy to retreat into our own space and will be heading away a lot on weekends exploring. Both of us are employed. We will need a secure space for a motorbike.
We are a friendly and clean couple who both work full time (Jonas as a mechanic and myself as a consultant). When we're not working we’re at sport or uni, but also enjoy relaxing and finding new places to eat and drink. We're originally from the South Coast so often go home to visit on weekends. We’re looking to move from our current accommodation soon but are flexible with dates.
Work in a big 4 consulting form in risk management. Have been living in Canberra for 5 months originally from Melbourne. Have loved the hiking and nature here in Canberra and looking forward to exploring more! Am an easy going person that likes to keep busy.
Hi! I'm from India and have a Bachelors' Degree in Architecture. July 2018 i begin with my Masters' Degree at the ANU. Love travelling / exploring and have many tales to tell from the various journeys I've had. Am highly adaptable and quick at socialising. Also, I'm extremely meticulous in everything I do and very particular about cleanliness.
I am a professional working in the city looking for a studio or room with ensuite/ own bathroom in Civic or closeby suburbs. An ambivert, mostly keep to myself but wouldn't mind a drink or hanging out. Like to keep the place tidy and respect privacy. Into football, metal, anime and gaming.
I'm a 20-something just about to commence studying at ANU, working towards a masters' degree. I'm a happy, social guy, who also values my and others privacy and having a space to withdraw to to think and work. If something needs doing or an extra pair of hands could help make light work of a task (meals, gardening, putting together infuriating flat pack furniture, et al.) I'm always happy to lend a hand. ✔ Well traveled and conscientious ✔ Bilingual (EN, IT) and working on my third ✔ Non-smoker ✔ Tidy, clean, and a solid work ethic ✔ Genuine and upfront in all interactions
I am doing this add for a friend. Him and his partner have just recently moved down to Canberra and are looking for a space to stay at. They have a pet dog. Clean and tidy, nice and great to get along with. we would be really grateful or the Help
We are Claire (27, full time scientist) and Chilli (7, full time couch potato) and our parents have finally sold up the house, so we are looking for somewhere to live...from late August to Early September 2018. Claire has been renting/share-housing since 2014, and Chilli is newer to the game but did so in 2016. A simple description of of us is boring - so clean, tidy, early risers with nanna-bed times who enjoy walkies. Claire is your average human - talks, exercises out of necessity, watches TV (mostly ABC), likes board games and escape rooms, is a dishwasher stacker/unstacker enthusiast, a good cook and an average baker. Chilli is housetrained and all round “good boy” (kid, dog + cat friendly - with NSW Green Collar) whose special skills include sleeping, collecting (soft toys, the occasional cushion), smooching and reclaiming unsupervised food... We spend most weekends (Fri night-Sun) in Sydney with Luke (Claire's husband + Chilli's dad) - Chilli goes too, but we spend about 1 weekend a month in town - and it'd be cool if you'd be okay with the occasional visit by Luke. We would like an unfurnished room, and do have some additional furniture so happy to share or loose it. Flexible with anywhere in Canberra/Queanbeyan, commutable to Deakin. Preferably we’d like you to like indoor dogs because Chilli hates the outdoors. There is the possibility for Chilli to live with his dad + fur siblings....but we'd prefer to be together.
I originaly come from Yass, NSW but I am now working full time at old Parliament House as a barrister and waiter (8am to 5pm) I enjoy cooking and eat almost anything, I'm also ok with vegetarian and vegan. I am a very clean and tidy person and I like coming home after a long days work to a clean house. I am an easy going person and easy to get along with, I like socializing at the end of the day and on weekends; for instance sharing dinner together or having a drink. In my free time I like to draw, read and watch movies. I do enjoy getting outside and longboarding as well as hiking when I get the chance. I understand the importance of privacy and I will 100% respect it. I have lived with other families and people and do have valuable experience.
I work Full time non-smoker, CLEAN, respectful, I guess a little sociable but still appreciates their own time. I am also honest, easy going and most of all have common sense and genuine respect for belongings and items!! Basically all that good stuff we want every flatmate to be : )
I’m a friendly individual with a positive attitude. I am reliable, always pay the rent/bills on time, I am very respectful with people's space and things. I am tidy and I can follow house rules. Moreover, I am quite however I don't mind catching up for a coffee, drinks, meal sharing (I love baking!) or a laugh around the house. I am interesting in travelling, coffee, sports and making new friends. I am lokking for a furnished room and my budget is $210/week with bills. Hope to hear from you soon! Cheers, Rose
I‘m Katrina, currently in Canberra to do an internship at the Austrian Embassy. As I extend my stay, I'm looking for a shared house/apartment by mid August. I’m a 26 year old graduate (sociology and communication) who enjoys a good glass of wine and netflix marathons, as much as exploring the city and socialise. I am looking for a flat with fun roommates to have a chat after work, cook dinner sometimes and go out on the weekends occassionslly. I am a tidy and respectful person with six years of flatsharing experience and a good sense for privacy and individual space. Hit me up if you think I'd be suitable to join your house and we could have a chat over coffee :)

Quiet mature postgraduate student seeks short term stay accommodation for upto 3 months whilst undertaking a government internship.
Hi, I'm a student of 20 years old from Montreal and I'm doing an exchange in the Australian National University, and I will be in Canberra from the 28th of July to the 20th of November. I'm used to living with flatmates and my previous flatmates indicate that I'm great to live with. I would like to meet new people from all origins. I'm really open-minded but I have to say that I like living in a clean flat and I'm doing a lot of efforts to keep it clean. I like to party and I'm not hard to live with.
I am a first year master student in Finance at ANU (in my late 20's). Prior to moving to Canberra, I have worked as a Senior Analyst in a Swiss bank and Singapore's Sovereign Wealth Fund in the last 6 years. I am tidy and respectful for personal space of my flatmates. I usually keep my stuff organized and clean the kitchen after meals. But I am also sociable and friendly; I enjoy sharing a conversation or two on traveling, sports or philosophy over a meal and a beer with my flatmates every now and then, or to have a board game night around Saboteur and Settlers of Catan. During my free time, I like to play tennis, go for a run, and go out with friends. Once a while, I go on a hiking/mountaineering trip and camp overnight in the mountains to take professional pictures of the Milky Way. The highest mountain I have climbed so far stands 17000ft (5400 m) tall. Some fun fact about me: I was once on a photography assignment at the Mercure Resort in the Maldives. A 2-meter-long spinner shark punched me in the chest as soon as I entered the water to film their feeding activity, and that punch was a heavy one! Other than Australia, I have lived in New York and Singapore. I enjoy getting to know people and hear their stories. It would be awesome to have a chat during a visit and see whether we are a potential match. Regards, Jim
Hey there! I'm a Melbourne local, recently arrived to the quietest capital city in the world. I'm generally pretty easy going, love to cook and enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail! I do like to keep things pretty clean and tidy (especially the kitchen, but in return I will fill the fridge with baking and leftovers for all!) I'm desperate to find some people who mean AFL when they say 'footy,' as you can find me in front of the Melbourne game every weekend. I love getting out and exploring Canberra, it's bushland and it's bars; I'm also a big snow fan so am keen for a few trips to the mountains! I'm **technically** an Arts/Law student, but I only do one subject a semester so I can keep pretending. Otherwise, I flit around the hospo scene and do some freelancing. I'm not around the house all that much, but I'd like a house where everyone is keen to share a meal when it works, but not living in each other's pockets! I've lived in a few different sharehouses, and like to think I know the lay of the land pretty well. Reliable with rent & bills, and looking for like minded people!
