Charlie Woodhead

Hey! I’m Charlie, 25, originally from Devon in the UK and heading to Melbourne on a Working Holiday Visa for a bit of a new adventure.

I studied Game Design at uni and have worked as a barista and 3 3D artist, alongside various festival and event jobs. Longer term I’m also interested in moving into IT/cybersecurity, but while I’m in Australia I’m mainly looking forward to working, meeting new people and properly experiencing life in Melbourne rather than just treating it like a short stop.

I’m sociable and easy going, but I definitely appreciate a quiet night in too. I’m really into music, collecting vinyl, vintage cameras and tech, and generally anything a little retro or creative. I’m always up for a good chat, a drink, exploring somewhere new, or just hanging out at home.

I’ve volunteered and stewarded at festivals around the UK, so I’m very used to living around other people and being considerate of shared spaces. I’m tidy, respectful and pretty relaxed to live with.

I’m especially looking for somewhere with a genuine community feel, ideally a house where people actually enjoy spending time together rather than everyone disappearing into their rooms. I’d love to find somewhere around Collingwood, Fitzroy, Brunswick, Northcote or nearby, but I’m flexible for the right place and the right people.
