Hi! I'm Dayoung. You can call me Young or Kang. I'll be arriving in Sydney on 20 November
I'm from South Korea, coming on a Working Holiday visa, and I'll be living on my own. I worked in an office job for 10 years back home, mostly planning, filming and editing short-form videos. In Australia, I'm planning to work as a barista, and I already have some experience working in cafés in Korea.
I lived on my own in Korea for 6 years, so cleaning, cooking, sorting rubbish and keeping up with bills are all second nature to me. I clean up straight after using shared spaces, so no worries there. I don't smoke and I hardly drink, so I'm a pretty quiet housemate.
I haven't got a job yet, but I'll start looking as soon as I arrive. I've saved up from 10 years of work, so I'll always pay my rent on time. I can also sort out the bond and the first week's rent straight away.
This will be my first time in Australia, so there's still a lot I don't know. Any tips about the neighbourhood or public transport would be really appreciated 😊 I'd love to share a place with someone who's respectful and easy to chat with. Feel free to message me!
