I'm from Brisbane, but have traveled a bit. I'm young at heart and don't look, feel or always act my age (54), but I am very quiet, and reserved until I get to know people. I am healthy and active, calm, respectful, and very easy going and open minded. Have been told I'm a great listener. My home is always clean and tidy inside and out and I like washing dishes the old fashioned way. Not a bad cook either. The last 12 months I have been running my household on my own with an adult son and teenage daughter. I do enjoy a beer but rarely more than 2, and rarely drink at home. I don't smoke or vape, but wouldn't mind my flatmate doing either - just not inside the house. I walk my dog every night, but in my spare time I like taking her for outings, catching up with my best friend (female), or just hanging with my daughter whenever she is staying with me. I also like music (many styles), movies, gaming, reading books, mountain biking (I never wear lycra haha) or an evening under the stars watching a fire. Recently separated, my family home is being sold very soon and I have to find a new place to live on my own with my dog, and my daughter (17 yo) who will stay with me every alternate week. She is a sociable, happy, quiet, courteous and studious young woman. As such, I don't want to share a house with men for my daughters sake, and to be honest I don't have any interest in the typical bloke stuff like football, gambling, and all that goes along with that. I also don't want a flatmate with any dogs/cats as they will probably be incompatible with my husky. I'll be looking ideally for a 4 bed 2 bath house to share with someone, and would pay over half the cost since I will require 2 bedrooms. In the longer term I'd consider getting another flatmate for the 4th bedroom to make things cheaper, but that's open for discussion. I've stated 6 months rental period, but I could extend that if the whole flatmate thing works out.
