My name is Chloe, my Husband Greg and I have just completed a beautiful renovation of our house at Alderley including a self-contained 3 bedroom flat in the downstairs of our house. We are looking for 3 like-minded housemates to house-share the space. About the house: The flat is a great size with 3 bedrooms; one main/ensuited and 2 mid-size bedrooms all with built-ins. There is a large bathroom for the 2 other bedrooms with a double-size shower and lots of storage. All bedrooms face east and get nice light in the morning and stay cooler as they are out of the western sun. All bedrooms have a tv point and internet LAN connection. There is a very large lounge area and a separate kitchen/dining leading onto a huge deck which would be for private use by the flat. There is a laundry area inside the flat and an outside clothesline will be available for exclusive use also (or you can just dry it on the deck like we do!). We have a brand-new pool which is also open to use. The flat has its own entry door at the front & back of the house as well as private entry to the master bedroom. The house is generally un-furnished, however we may be able to assist on some items if required. There is on-street parking available at the front of the house and we are 5 minute walk to Alderley station or 7 minute walk to Newmarket station or Translink bus services. We are also within walking distance to the new Alderley Coles and lots of parks, cafes and shops. Alderley is the 6th stop from central and is about a 16 minute train ride. mid size room rent: $250 p/wk (inclusive) Master bed: $300 p/wk (inclusive) About us: We are a professional couple in our 30’s, both working full time in the Construction industry. We have 2 cats (Pippin & Griffin; 1 curious/social & the other a complete scaredy cat). They have free-reign around the house & yard but we can add a screen door to the flat if required to keep them out. We generally lead a pretty quiet life through the week and like to do work around the house or see friends on the weekends. We have both travelled a lot and also lived in share-houses so we are aware of the dynamics of getting the right mix of people to make it a great experience. We have great relationships with all of our neighbours and would like to find people happy to chill in a quiet environment & enjoy the beautiful setting of the house & neighbourhood. We are non smokers and request that you and or guests live the same. We live in the upstairs of the house which is completely separate from downstairs, however all garden areas and pool etc are communal so you will certainly see us around. We are looking at offering individual leases to each room which provides everyone with their own flexibility on how long they stay and no need to cover other rent if someone moves out. Each room would have its own bond lodged with RTA and an individual RTA agreement (for peace of mind for both parties). Rental amounts would also be inclusive of all bills including unlimited internet (plus power, gas and water etc). All maintenance around the house will be us so you don’t need to lift a finger (except keeping the flat clean). The house is 95% finished with just some final things to be completed before its ready to rent (& we get final certification). We are looking at 07th of April as the available date to move in. I'm generally a pretty easy going person. Love getting out and about on the weekends, but enjoy a lazy day around the house just as much. My weekdays are usually pretty busy between work and uni, so I'm rarely ever around the house (or I'm cooped up in my room trying to study!), however I also like to be relatively social in my down time and always down for chat or a casual drink.
