At the moment I’m only home about half the time because I work as a remote area nurse in the NT. Though I’m only home half the time I’m still happy to pay my share of bills as if I was there full time. When I am home I work on a casual basis, so I won’t be around the house the entire time. I enjoy cooking, socialising and getting out in nature. Im ok to just to do my own thing but would be definitely happy for sharing a bottle of wine or having the occasional housemate dinners together. Starting an APS grad job February 2026 (“data generalist”), moving up from Melbourne, and looking to share house preferably with some other APS Grads - but flexible. Partially to defray rental costs, and partially to have some company (and maybe even some friends) In terms of *where*, anywhere short walk from light rail station preferred, and imho being near lots of shops/shopping centres > being near small shops > not being near shops (and having to drive for basic staples) This would be my first time sharehousing, but I can keep my room tidy (maybe less-so the desk, but I’ve never been a “clothes on the floor person), cook (a little), take out the bins, changing pillowcases weekly and maybe even bedsheets monthly. I can stay out of your business unless if you want me to help (eg cooking for everyone). I’d also be willing to try doing a games night every so often as well. (I usually shower at night. I’m not exactly quick and I’m working on that) And if you need a space for your car, fine by me, for i would like to go by transit. The light rail runs every 15 mins, even in weekends, and I can do smaller frequent visits to grocery stores after work. Spare time, I do like watching anime (though I have been more consumed with various YouTube clips), and reading news stories and blogs about transit (pedestrian observations has a great one about national traditions of HSR), politics (from all that… jazz in the US, to stumbling upon the Riot Act even if I don’t agree with their takes), and miscellanea. I like the idea of going out and exploring places on the weekend, even if I currently don’t do it as much - seizing the day and just living rather than, bedrotting too much. Sport wise I have been playing pickleball, and I have done volleyball, badminton in the long past (getting the muscle memory for badminton may be quite annoying after doing pickleball though).
