Hi, my name is Rhi. My cat Vinny and I need to be out of our current house in September due to our existing housemates all growing up and pairing off so we’re looking for some new ones! I am 28, employed full-time, and have been living in share houses since I was 18 so I know the drill. Things get paid on time, communal areas get kept tidy, and my work schedule means I’ve never clashed with anyone for the bathroom. I’m a bit creative (I draw and paint and collect dumb eclectic things) so hopefully my housemates won’t mind the decorative mishmash of things I intend to hang on our walls! I have got a house worth of furniture (sofas, wall units, large TV, fridge, washing machine, etc.) which I can either sell or bring with me. I like my homes to be chill places where people are comfortable to be themselves. Whilst not expressly looking for a party house I believe that friends and lovers should always be welcome. I am invaluable at pub trivia nights. I am rainbow friendly, green friendly, and bigot unfriendly. An older character place full of music, blankets, fairy lights, plants, books and snacks and with at least a small yard is my dream. I’m open to starting up a new home as well as to joining a welcoming existing one. Vinny is a small ginger rescue boy with the sweetest face who is super skilled at sitting juuust out of reach and stealing food literally from your mouth. He is stupidly obsessed with a big plush Rastafarian banana that I have. He is plucky and I have seen him interact well with other animals. Looking forward to talking to you soon!
Im honest, trustworthy and empathetic. I don’t use drugs Financially stable I’m sociable, enjoy yoga, a clean person and respectful of others space and boundaries Work in community services sector I can have a laugh at myself
Hello all you beautiful people!! I'm looking for a large room for my sister and me. Preferably closer to the city. Budget is $300/week. We're super clean, respectful and mostly keep to ourselves. (Unless you want to talk about Disney/Pixar movies. Then we won't shut up!) Looking to move in on the 24th of this month. Thank you 😊
Lovely 3 bedroom home in Ascot Vale. Californian Bungalow style house with high ceilings, gas central heating throughout, air con in living/dining area, large garden space in leafy street. Wall to wall carpets with linoleum in wet areas. Picture rails in bedrooms, hall way, living and dining areas. Space to sit outside at front and back of house. We have living room furniture including TV, dining table, microwave, one small fridge (an additional will be needed to feed 3), and Bosch washing machine. We can swap stuff around a bit if your stuff is better :D Any prospective housemate can store their surplus goods and bicycle in the lockable garage. The kitchen is on the cosy side but has lots of natural light. We do not have a dishwasher however there is reasonable cupboard space, different height bench tops - marble bench is great for kneading dough - and a sweet walk in pantry. A gardener comes to do heavy pruning twice a year, dude with whipper snipper mows the lawn about once a month - the rest is up to us. We have a lemon, a lime and an apricot tree (AMAZING fruit). A great place for a green thumb looking to grow herbs/vegies in pots although this is certainly not compulsory. Assistance with general watering in Summer and sweeping in Autumn in particular is expected. Garage, under house, linen cupboards and pantry storage spaces. Small workshop area under house with work bench. A super short walk (5 minutes) to the 59 tram into the city, or walk a bit further to Ascot Vale train station. Cycle down hill to Moonee Ponds bike track. There are peak hour bike lanes along Mt Alexander Road. Close to Ormond Road buses to Brunswick. Just past the nearest tramstop is the Ascot Lot food truck park! Opposite that is Cheaper Buy Miles discount groceries, and a bit further but still walking distance is Dan Murphies. Close to Moonee Ponds shopping precinct (15 minute walk). All bills are shared equal thirds with payment made directly to biller. On time discount available for energy providers. We have solar power credited back to our power bills, so daytime energy is as free as sunlight! Rent is paid directly to agent. Wireless household internet, unlimited GB, is paid monthly, in equal thirds to Patricia's account. We save the receipts and split evenly the cost of cleaning products (Earth Choice all the way!), toilet paper (plus tissues & paper towel) online from 'Who Gives a Crap', and any other household communal products.
Hey! I'm a 34 - year old psychology student, studying over at Victoria University in Footscray Park campus. I like to do a bit of cooking, and would love to have a team cook-out with my flatmates or other similar shenanigans. For my free time, I'm mainly focusing on my studies, and going to the gym. I value cleanliness and consideration above all else. Looking for like-minded individuals who want to live in a clean, calm (especially at night-time), and pleasant environment. I don't have too much of my own stuff, so I'm ideal for households that don't want the property to be crammed with different items. Also for that reason I'm looking for a furnished room. Drop a message and lets have a chat. :)
I’m 22, and am working full time at the moment in hospitality, thinking of getting back into study next year. I’ve been know as the 'old souled 22 yr old’, but love a good bit of social hangout time and a few drinks here and there. Im a clean and tidy person and am always happy to do more then my fair share of house work if reciprocated. I also have a cat, her name is Pudding, she is a shy and timid female ginger, once you get to know her she'll indulge in a good head scratch. A little about what im looking for: People who are tidy and clean up after themselves, contribute to house cleaning, keep the communal space clean of your clutter, open minded. :)
I'm Kyle, I'm 27 years old, I work full time as a welder, usually between 7-4 Monday to Friday and the occasional Saturday so I won't be throwing parties during the week or anything. Non smoker, no pets, I have a bit of furniture and appliances but nothing I'm too attached to and I'm happy to put anything not needed into storage.
Hi, My name is Adrian. I am currently studying marketing and communications and IT in RMIT university. I am working on building and develop a new social media app. I need to find a good and relaxing place to concentrate on my project. I am currently working Full-time as a bartender in Flinders St. Most of the day I will be either study or work. I have a busy schedules. I am very kind and fun person to live with. I accept the rule and people that I live with. Thank you so much
I’ve recently moved to Melbourne and looking for a more permanent home! I work full time at a hospital and when I'm not at work enjoy a wine, going to the gym and exploring Melbourne. I’m a quiet and considerate housemate but am looking for a home where we can have a chat and share a drink after work while still respecting each other’s space.
I live in New Zealand and will be moving over to Melbourne for a new job. Looking forward to immersing into what Melbourne has to offer - cafes, culture, hikes. I love movies (Star Wars of course) and keeping active.
An introverts dream! 3 month stay available from August 22nd - December (flexible with date up to December 8th) The room on offer is large and Ascot Vale train station is just a 2 minute walk away with only a 12 minute trip to Melbourne Central Station. There is a bus out the front (472). 8 minute walk to tram 57 and Union Road shopping strip. 8 minute walk to tram 49 (Goes past Highpoint Shopping Centre) Your room has a door that leads to the outside. This means that if you are the type of person who likes to keep to yourself... it is almost like living alone! The other flatmate has his own door to the outside also. The room on offer has a queen size bed, 55 inch screen smart/3D TV, two seater couch, double set of draws, dressing table, two bedside tables and a single cupboard. We use the second bedroom as the lounge room. The flat is well insulated so keeps cool in the heat, but there is also a pedestal fan if you need it 😊
I'm reliable, tidy, friendly, can cook (not a masterchef tho!) & pay my bills on time. I'm willing to pull my weight with the cleaning & am respectful of others needs & privacy. I'm a Kindergarten teacher and do agency work within northern & western suburbs. In my spare time I like to catch up with friends, go shopping, go to the movies, go to markets or visit family in country victoria.
Hey there pals! I'm looking for a private room to move into before September 15. I love the Moonee Valley area and would preferably like to stay put around here or somewhere nearby. I just left studies in creative writing at La Trobe and am working as a marketing assistant and a waitress, also trying to develop my own business selling prints of my art. I spend a good deal of my spare time at home in my own space, painting and drawing. Because of that, I might be wrongly perceived as reclusive to some but I always love having a good chat and am always up for doing things as a house. My door is usually open. It'd be great to find a place with roomies who are likeminded and also enjoy that sense of company and actually being friends with who they live with. I also love yoga and am learning guitar. I'm a tattoo addict and Seinfeld is my go-to show. I appreciate a clean house and am very respectful. I always have money for rent and bills in time. I don't have pets but would love to be pals with yours if you have any! Excluding rats and mice and ferrets and shit. Not into that. I'm also pescetarian but don't mind at all what others cook/eat. Message me if this sounds like I'd be right for your place :)
Hey Guys! So about me; Pretty easy going, can hold a detailed conversation, even if your response is simply 'yes' or 'okay'. I smile quite frequently. Ive lost 55 kilos in weight over 5 years, so fitness is important to me. Im a decent cook now, but basic at the same time. Im still living with the folks currently, last child at home, but not the youngest(obviously was the smartest though, ahaha). Im quite clean too, been doing my own washing since '07. I'd like to say i can sing too, but you'll soon find out that its just something i enjoy doing, but dont have a talent in. I have quite a variety of people i know, so my social life can be busy at times, which means im out and about. With saying that, i do like some quiet time to kick back and watch the latest Netflix Marvel series or It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia(Please tell me you watch this)! I work full time, Monday to Friday - 8:30am-4:30pm at the head office of a kitchen company, i absolutely love it I do drive, i have soccer mom car, so there will need to be an available space for parking. I must disclose, i am a bisexual man, but i dont flaunt it, just be easy going with it. Lastly, i am cat obsessed, so if i could bring my cat of 14 years(She is super youthful), that would be a bonus, but if not, my folks are happy to keep her :) I can move out whenever, just prefer by the end of year, as my situation at home is highly in tact, i just more want that growth and independence. Pop us a message, i would be mad fun to live with
I'm 26 and moved to Australia permanently a year go, and I've been living in a flatshare in Southbank. Now I'm hoping to get amongst things in the Melbourne suburbs. I work full-time at VicRoads as a Project Engineer in the CBD. I love music and play guitar myself. I love sport too but still trying to get my head around footy! I also enjoy spending time with good people having a drink and good food, and getting outdoors too. I'm Sri Lankan originally but grew up in Abu Dhabi. I lived in London and Hong Kong before Melbourne, so have been sharing flats for a while now.
Hi I’m Andrew I’m clean but not anally retentive about it. I like animals so if you have pets that’s awesome. I’m pretty good at quizzes. I smoke but if you want me to smoke outside that’s cool, I understand I’m killing my self slowly and that you may not wish to do the same. I’m sociable but also like my own company and pretty conscious of people also enjoying there own.
Your potential new home is a lovely old double-fronted Victorian built in the early 1900's. There's a decently sized backyard to relax in and on-street parking is always available (permit-free). The house is a 5 minute walk to Ascot Vale train station, and trains are 10-15 minutes to the city, coming every 5-9 minutes during peak hour. There's also gas heating and air conditioning throughout the house. Ascot Vale is a pretty quiet suburb, yet is still really close to the city. Supermarkets are within walking distance (Coles on Epsom Road or Newmarket Woolies) as is Dan Murphy's on Mount Alexander Road. The room available is in rear of the house and has a north facing window. The room measures about 3.1 x 2.7 metres. It is a smaller side of the scale, reflected in the lower price. It can fit a queen bed and a clothes horse, which is the current setup, but you can make use of it however you like. We have all common area stuff covered, so things like a TV, couches, dining table and chairs, refrigerator, microwave, washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, cutlery, plates etc. are all here and available for you to use. You'll just need to furnish your own room, though this is negotiable as the person moving out can sell you all his stuff if you require it. Cost breakdown / Bills: - Rent is due monthly on the same date of each month based off the first date you move in, so, e.g. August 30th, September 30th etc. - $765 per calendar month. - Bond is 1 month of rent paid in advance. - 6 month minimum stay. - 4 weeks notice of vacating required. - Internet (unlimited), water, electricity and gas bills are split equally. These fluctuate seasonally but have generally been on average around the $20/week mark.
I am a biomedical engineer working part-time at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute and work my remaining days of the week at my medical device startup. We are creating a device that helps premature babies! I love going out and meeting new people (you will find me very talkative in a good way!) and in my free time, I play guitar and play indoor football. Also a big comic book movies nerd! Hit me up and I will be happy to come in for an inspection!
I am Masih from Iran (male). I have been admitted to Uni Melb and will be starting my PhD studies there on Aug. 31th. I am a clean, friendly person. I like making new nice friends and spend most of my time on studying.
I work as a guest service agent for Virgin Australia at Melb Airport, I do work shift work, mostly early mornings but I am very quiet. I’ve been living in Melbourne for 1 year now, grew up in the country. Very tidy person I always clean up after myself and will 100% contribute to all house cleaning. 😊 I like to have a wine or 2 & listen to music - I’m looking for a home & to meet new people.
Young professional working full time in the city. Moving from Adelaide to Melbourne, have lived independently for the last six years. Clean, relaxed and reliable. I’ll either be in my room or out with friends for dinner or a movie so won’t be hanging around too much.
I have recently moved to Melbourne and am working full time at Sunshine Hospital. I currently work day, afternoon and night shifts. When not at work you will find me either exploring Melbourne, watching movies or hanging out with friends. I am easy going, clean and respectful. I enjoy my own privacy however always up for a chat or movie night. I have found a brand new 2 bed 2 bath apartment in Maribyrnong but looking for a housemate to move in with me - rent would be $220 per week.
Hi I'm Lilien! I'm 26 and would describe myself as considerate, neat and relaxed. When I'm not working full-time, I try to make time to work out at the gym, and catch up with friends. I do enjoy some time alone after a whole day's work but I'm pretty chill and would enjoy some dinner or drinks from time to time.
