Hi there! My name is Katina, I'm a 30 year old (look and feel about 24...but wiser) looking to find my own quiet pad or a place to share with some fun, laid back people while I focus on my career...or fly solo. Either way, I'm not actually too fussed! I work at a gym, run a small business (Minerva Candle) and also study via correspondence (3D Animation/Conceptual Art and Design). I have a very relaxed personality and a fairly dry sense of humour - I really love to laugh. I'm possibly the closest thing to a 'bro' in a girls body you'll get (I'm all about the video games, lifting at the gym, action movies, quoting Anchorman and Step Brothers, etc)...except I smell nicer, love a glass of wine, and like to do my nails on the weekly...so if you're okay with that, then awesome. I enjoy having my own space and don't fear it, but I also love human company and making friends so either way works well for me. I tend to be out and about a lot...I don't really party, but I like to visit friends and go on adventures...so don't be surprised if I ask if you want to bunjee jump or climb a cliff. I will accept if you say no, but I will likely call you a whimpy. :P I'm looking for any area near to the city (New Farm, Newstead, Ashgrove, etc) as this is closest to my work and also gives me access to the city which I enjoy wandering around (read- sniffing around for food). I really enjoy making a place a warm and inviting home so I can promise you that I'll take beautiful care of your property while I'm borrowing it from you :) You might have to be okay with smelling candles all the time...that is what I do for my business, yes you will get freebies :) If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. - Katina
Hi there, my name is Zara, 34, very down to earth, friendly female, working full-time as a Childcare Educator. I am clean, tidy & have lived in sharehouses for many years so I'm respectful of others. During the week I keep pretty quiet but don't mind a few glasses of wine on the weekend. I have always become good friends with my housemates & enjoy a chat over a glass of wine but also enjoy some solo time. I go out every now & again but this is definitely not a party house. I have a dog 'Bella', she is a 9 year old Dalmatian & is super friendly, gentle & fully house trained. Another well-behaved dog is welcome preferred both dogs get along. You must love dogs & be ok with them being inside when we are home. You will be sharing the house with myself & a 26 year old female called Jess. Jess also works full-time as a Childcare Educator. We are looking for female (early 20's - 30's) to sub-let the room we have available in our Queenslander style home in Ashgrove. Someone clean, tidy & working full-time would be ideal. NO Couples, sorry! The house itself has a large kitchen with plenty of cupboard space, lounge room with tv, dvd player/recorder, Unlimited Internet/optus fetch tv, brand new split-cycle aircon, solar power, separate bathroom & toilet, small back-deck which overlooks the huge leafy backyard. Laundry & lots of storage underneath the house. Lots of on-street parking available. The house is fully-furnished. Bedroom: (unfurnished) is a good size & would comfortably fit a double or queen bed. The room has a large built-in wardrobe with ample space to hang your clothes & a large shelf above. It has two windows which overlook the park next door. Rent for this room is $133.34 p/w. Move in date may be sooner, negotiable. The electricity is split evenly every 3 months & it is fairly cheap due to the solar. Broadband is split evenly, unlimited Internet. Lawn mowing is also split evenly $44 every 3 to 4 weeks. The house is within walking distance to public transport & local shops. There are some lovely walking/bike tracks if you are into fitness. 4km north-west of the CBD. This is a private rental, so no need to deal with real estate agents! Bond is 4 weeks rent, to be paid before you move in. If you are interested in taking a look please don't hesitate to contact me by text during the day, calls after 5pm. Don't miss this opportunity to move in with awesome housemates! Thanks, Zara & Jess.
Ashgrove area is a great place to live, we just can't get enough. Walking distance from shops, cafes and restaurants, located on a quiet street surrounding by lots of family residential houses. This room for rent is big enough to fit a double bed, has drawers, cupboards and double doors to open out to the outside living area. The room also comes with a bathroom shared with one other person, large open living area with an amazing view of Ashgrove, an outdoor veranda with a spa and a decent kitchen space with a dishwasher, microwave and fridge included.
Hi there I'm an archaeologist and am moving to Brisbane to do my Masters degree. I'm seeking a room in an apartment in a small, quiet complex or a house. Wants: - Share with only one other person - My own bathroom - Built in robes - Unfurnished room (large) - Non-smoking and non-drug house (and limited drinking) - Someone who is quiet and keeps regular hours during the week (quiet before 6.30am and after 10pm works for me!) - Socialising predominantly kept outside of the home Desirables: - A pool! - A lockup garage About Me: I am 44, very tidy, very quiet, and really respectful of other people's property and personal space. I'm very friendly and enjoy a chat, but I tend to keep to myself (studying, meditating etc.). I don't drink, smoke, take drugs or listen to loud music, and want to live with someone likeminded. I don't watch tv and prefer to live somewhere where it's not on 24/7. I have all my own kitchenware which I prefer to use. I also have a few pieces of furniture that would need to go in the living room (lovely wooden bookshelf, wood tea chest, vintage Danish coffee table, large gorgeous tribal rug, a couple of large paintings and some vintage Scandinavian bric-a-brac). I am looking for a place that is clean, preferably modern, with tasteful furnishings. I have all my own bedroom furniture and need a room able to fit a queen bed, 2 bedside tables, and a desk, chair. I have a second bookcase that can go in either the living room or my room (if it will fit). I am 100% reliable paying rent and bills on time (I can provide references if required). If you think I would be a good fit for your place then please email me. Alternatively, I am open to house hunting with 1 other person, so drop me a line if you're interested. I look forward to hearing from you! Cheers, Annika
Hi future housemate(s)! We are currently inspecting houses in the Inner North of Brisbane. Our ideal house should be quiet but close to public transport, preferably have a gas stove and air-con. A garden and/or nice deck would be great as well. And we love timber floors and VJ boards. Depending on what comes up, we'd either like to find another couple or just a single person to live with. A little about us: Paul runs a home maintenance business and loves spending time out in the bush or creating things in his workshop. Sarah is a self-employed German tutor and enjoys meeting friends, museums and music. Both of us like watching movies, drinking coffee or wine, hiking, exploring and getting out of the city. We're not the kind of couple that you will always find together doing the same thing but we're quite independent. We also have a geriatric cat named Tom (seriously, he is 21!) who may or may not still be around when we're moving house. But not looking at getting another one after him. It would be great to find someone who is looking for a home and not just a house, appreciates the good things in life, is somewhat clean and knows how to run a house and simply enjoys living with other people. Our move-date is flexible and we're really just looking for the right place. Please get in contact if you think we could be a fit! Cheers, Sarah and Paul
Hey! I'm Kelly and I work full-time in Woolloongabba as a graphic designer and am looking for a place with my 1 and a half year old dog! He's a border terrier cross, so a small breed with a huge personality who is house trained! Would need a fully fenced yard for him and he's used to being inside and out when I'm home. Happy to find somewhere with another dog, preferably a larger breed as he takes a little to warm up to smaller dogs but definitely would like them to meet and see if they got along or not whether small or large! I'm pretty chilled and would prefer to live with no more than 2 other roommates unless the property is spacious enough that you're not on top of one another. Also don't mind the suburb as long as it's not too far out and moving date is completely flexible.
Hey! Like a nice living environment but don't have your own stuff? Sick of sharehouse living with milk-crate furniture and grotty couches? :). Then this place would suit you. My names Aidan and I've got a huge master bedroom for rent in a funky house in Ashgrove. Its fully furnished with a double bed and plenty of wardrobe space. The rest of the house is also fully furnished with homely, funky stuff and a fully-stocked kitchen with plenty of crokery, pots, appliances, everything. Theres a great back deck overlooking a creek and bushland. The house is 5min walk to the shops and bus stop, and 4 km/15 minute bus ride to the city. Its a 2 bedroom place upstairs + my own pad downstairs that I'm building, with 2 brand new renovated bathrooms, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. There are 2 study rooms for doing uni work or relaxing with a book. I'm a 39y.o. gay guy who works full-time and is clean, respectful, easy-going. I've been sharehousing for many years and know what makes a place inviting and relaxing. You can have your own space or come and join me on the deck for a drink, I'm cool with either. I've poured my heart and soul into renovating the house, so I'm after someone who is mature, easy-going and appreciates/respects a nice environment. I'm really passionate about the native birds, turtles and water dragons in the creek, so sorry, no pets. And I'm just after one person per room, so no couples please. Bills (elec, gas, internet) work out to be about $15-17 per person per week. If you're interested, send me a message. Cheers! airconditioning back deck with bush views close to public transport close to shopsfreshly renovated wardrobe
Hi! I have lived in my fair share of share houses so I am respectful and tidy :) I am friendly but also pretty quiet, non-smoker, and quite busy so I'm not home too often.
We have a small puppy who loves cuddles. We both work and study full time so we wouldn't be around too much. Ideally we are looking for a granny flat but we are open to sharing with another couple or single. I study design and my partner studies media comms. We are friendly, clean and like a few drinks on the weekend.
I am currently renting in Newmarket. I'm in the downstairs of a large Queenslander that was set up as a b&b and the other flatmate is an elderly man who is working and very easy to get along with. However, I would love to get into accommodation with younger and more vibrant people. I gym regularly, I have been in marketing and now moving into finance management at Natureworks - the No Poo Zoo out in Highvale in the jungle!! I use to spend every weekend working on my acreage in Samford. Now that I'm in the city I'm looking for people to hang out with on weekends and do anything social. NOT BINGO :) I have my own rockclimbing shoes; harness, I road cycle with the City Lifecycle, my boyfriend takes me jet skiing occasionally, however would be great to have people around me who are energetic, enthusiastic and adventurous to add to my life. Doing things that don't necessarily take a lot of $$ is great. I want to buy a house in inner city, but that's proving a challenge in this current market. I have 3 daughters all finished uni and living in city - doing their own thing. I do love to have the occasional dinner party with them. They are all bright, friendly and balanced. 2 with steady boyfriends, one on the prowl again :) I have Hungarian blood in me - so in the past I have loved to party but I am mellowing a little there and looking after my health more. I have a cousin from Hungary and his son coming to visit me for 3 weeks in February which I am excited about. I am very health conscious and would rather cook than buy takeaway. I'm very clean and neat and always happy to help if someone's doing it tough. I love to travel, however have to save for the next trip after 3 holidays last year - skiing, Barossa and a cruise. I do have my own friends who I see socially occasionally however they are all busy with their own families and usually not available to hang out with on weekends etc. I love celebrating family, Christmas, birthdays and just loving life.
I am a student going into my 3rd year of studying criminology. I am very social and love meeting new people, I work at boost juice so I can make a mean smoothie. I'm clean, well spoken, respectful and easy to get along with, just looking for some like minded people to live with and have fun while doing it

On a huge park by the creek Hi, I have one room, partly furnished with queen bed and wardrobe if required in a furnished, renovated, creative and relaxed house. Looking for long term, friendly, easygoing roommates who are clean and can pay bills on time. Sorry no backpackers. I work full time, from 2pm till 10pm, so if you have normal hours you would have the house to yourself of the evening. Hi I'm Bryce, I'm a 29 year old Australian guy originally from near the Sunshine Coast, and I have close American friend John (Colorado) who is arriving in January on a work visa. We are currently looking for 2/3 bedroom house or unit to move into around the beginning of February. Not opposed to moving into a place with another person to make it 3 people, within reason (i.e. relatively large place). I work in the oil & gas/mining exploration industry, and I also have a small scale GIS business on the side when I'm not working away in the field. John has just finished 12 months working at a research station down in Antartica and will most likely be working for the exploration company I work for early next year. We are all fairly well travelled and love to have a chat! If your place sounds like a perfect place for us to move into and around the time we are looking at, please hit me up!
I am a funny, type of person who enjoys the company of others, I can cook, and keep things clean not afraid of cleaning and keeping things tidy. When I have spare time love the outdoors and exploring new places to visit. I workout most days and studying a lot with Batchelor of Health Science in Acupuncture. I am a qualified Shiatsu Practitioner dealing with muscle aches and pains and other health issues. Looking for a quite place not wanting to be in a place that parties all the time as studies are important. I like to socialise and meet new people.
This is such a great place with a spacious 3m x 3m room with an inbuilt wardrobe. The house is fully furnished and includes all your cooking needs as well as a washing machine and dishwasher. Only thing you will need is your bedroom furniture. The rent includes unlimited internet and the electricity is approximately $140-$150 a quarter. The house itself is centrally located in Ashgrove a 5 minute walk from a Woolworths, Aldi and Coles. There are plenty of cafes around, a Goodlife gym as well as some cool bars. Buses run into the city and through to UQ every 30 mins and more-so during peak hour. The house also has plenty of storage space underneath. You will be living with 4 guys in there 20’s who all work or study fulltime who are mostly quite during the week but don’t mind a drink on the weekend. You will hopefully either be studying or working fulltime and much the same. Please message me if you have any questions or would like to come view the room.
Don't be fooled. It's on Waterworks road but it's so far back it doesn't make a difference. Looking for someone to share this beautiful two story flat with me. I'm chilled and quiet and like my privacy and am hoping for someone who is the same. Young professionals or students welcome. It's a beautiful space with balconies and air. You get your own bathroom as well as built in wardrobe. Bus stop right outside. Ashgrove shops less than five minutes walking. This place is ideal. The rent is cheaper too because the garage will be rented by a local artist and friend as a studio space. She will help with some amenity bills, etc. Hope you like musicians. No Pets. Unless it's a goldfish. Built ins. Private bathroom
Heyy, I'm looking for a place to stay in Brisbane since I've just graduated and live on the Sunshine coast but will be going to QUT. I'm friendly, easy going and reliable. I'm also very new to this as well. I enjoy the outdoors, reading books, and food of course
I'm a 23 year old chef looking to move up to Brisbane in mid-late January, I'll hopefully be starting a business degree at Griffith in late February. I have been cooking for four years and have used my ability/trade to work all over Australia, and I love to cook at home with a couple of beers for friends/house mates. I am a friendly, easy going guy who loves the outdoors and have a keen interest in health and fitness. I love being social, seeing new things and meeting new people. I am clean and respectful of my own and shared spaces of the house, and I have lived in and shared houses for six years, and over that time I have never had any issues. If you have any questions feel free to hit me up, looking forward to hearing from future housemates . . .
We are a group of three sociable and bubbly girls, looking for a few more people to join us at our new house (when we find one). Unfortunately we have to part from our current housemates after our lease ends, but we would love to continue on our traditions as "The Bardy Bunch", and keep a fun and family atmosphere. We are looking for responsible, but social people- we love the occasional loose party, but also value nights in. We would prefer a few guys to balance out the house, but would never say no to cool girls. About us: Mel and Bec are both recent UQ grads, soon to be starting full-time professional work in the city. Cassie is a beautiful swede, struggling to stay in the country (she does have a job though, don't sweat it). Basically, we are just looking for clean people who we can be friends with and have family dinners together (no need to be able to cook though, although it would be appreciated).
I'm a 20yo studying Law full-time and working. Looking for an easygoing household to move in with, preferably for 6months+ and close to either QUT Kelvin Grove or Gardens Point!
