Hey everyone, my name's Amber. I've recently turned 30 and am looking for a massive lifestyle and inspirational change - want to get away from Sydney as soon as possible and to relocate to Melbourne for work. Came to Melbs a while back for a holiday, fell in LOVE with it and didn't ever want to come back to Sydney - so now I'm trying to make that dream a reality. Currently I'm on Newstart allowance as a means of consistent income but please note this is absolutely temporary in terms of my long term financial position - I am only on this momentarily to cover my rent and bills while I make moves to relocate cities and secure full time employment. I will be obtaining a full time job as soon as I move to Melbourne and am already applying for a number of roles - it's just quite hard to do from interstate before you leave, most companies won't take your application seriously unless you're inquiring locally. A bit of background on me - I've been a multi disciplinary Artist since I was a child, with a main focus on Acting, Singing and Musicianship. I completed my tertiary education in Acting and I'm currently doing distance study in Electronic Sound Production and Indigenous Studies, to help expand my mind and teach me new skills. I love to read and learn, have solid conversations and a good laugh, share knowledge - books and artworks make up 70% of my earthly goods! A few of my interests include Reading, Playing Guitar, Socialising with friends on the weekend, Writing, Dancing, Acting, Cooking, Travel, Theatre, Music Production and Songwriting, Singing, Yoga and Martial Arts, Gaming (Xbox 360 - I have one to bring to the house and a load of games, if that's your thing too), binge watching Netflix or getting into some hardcore SBS on demand / ABC iview when I have free time, Photography and Art of all forms. Social justice, human/civil rights and equality are vital concepts to me. By no means a definitive list, but it gives you a bit of an idea. I'm friendly, respectful, fun, keep things in the house clean and am a weird balance of someone who likes to say hi and be social round the house when it suits people, but can also respect your space/privacy and like to enjoy my own when I'm feeling a bit hermity too - hopefully you won't be the type to take it personally if i need some time out to myself occasionally. Really not a precious princess about things and am not into passive aggressive types - if you're not the sort of person that can just have a calm, upfront chat and nip it in the bud if I accidentally do anything to annoy you, then we probably won't enjoy living together. I'm a smoker, although more than happy to go outside as this is most people's preference, I'm not obnoxious about it and respect people's house needs. Constantly burning fragrant oils / candles and incense anyway and am very conscious of mutual space, nothing like coming home to a house that feels welcoming and smells divine. Not a party animal, though I do enjoy having people round sometimes - during the week I'm pretty chill (although, also not boring hey - totally not adverse to cracking some wine or beers while cooking /when the mood strikes - I'm a pretty mean cook, double plus bonus!). Weekends are always a bit better for getting out and about or catching up with people. If this sounds like someone you wouldn't mind sharing space with, let me know. Thanks in advance mates, look forward to meeting some like minds - keen for a long-term place I can make a home, with cool, fuss-free housemate/s who like the sound of my listing. Looking to make the move by mid April or so / ASAP if I find something, got a flexible plane ticket booked ready to go - let me know if you have any questions. Peace and Thanks, Amber
Hi Looking for one housemate to join us to start a new lease in a beautiful home we have already applied for in Balaclava. We are still putting in applications for other places in this area and surrounding neighbourhoods. The houses we are applying for and will be applying for are all conveniently located with all amenities and public transport around the corner. Please note that the pictures posted are of the actual house now and it will be empty upon moving in and we will have to pitch in and furnish it as the house itself and most others come unfurnished. We are two professionals colleagues (not a couple - girl and guy) (in our 30's and 40's respectively), working at University and looking for someone who will be responsible with handing in applications, has the necessary funds, and is mature, clean and tidy in general. We are looking for a house with an ensuite bathroom for myself so you will be sharing with only one other person. You will preferably be working full time. We can arrange a time to meet up and discuss but only if you are serious about putting in the effort to attend inspections and submit applications. If you wish to know more about the places we are applying for, please do not hesitate to contact me and i can give you the requested information as I cannot post it on here. But basically, they will be spacious light filled 3 bed, 2 bath townhouses which are conveniently located and close to CBD and most of Melbourne's hip suburbs. If we get a house and you wish to join, you will need to fill in an application and submit to the real estate agent for approval. Please send a message or contact us if you fit the description and wish to know more.
Hey guys and gals, A little about me: I work at two jobs one in Out of School Hours care and the other as a nanny. I also do the odd babysitting job here and there and I'm due to finish up my undergrad Psych degree in June. I'm laid back, reliable, bubbly and warm. I come house trained and would like to move in with others who have a bit of house training... or common sense but I'm not picky. I like music, Netflix, masterchef, the beach, a chin wag, hanging out with my mates and enjoying a glass of champers every now and then. One of the major things I'm looking for in a housemate/s is compatibility and people I can become mates not just people I live with. Would love to share a meal and a chat at the end of the day but understand everyone needs their alone time. Now comes the tricky part: I'm interested in meeting up with people before agreeing to anything. If I sound like the type of person you'd like to live with shoot me a message. P.s I come fully stocked with everything you'd need in a house except couch, dining table and chairs.
Hi guys. I'm 34 music, nature and sports lover. I respect privacy but also like socializing :) clean and tidy person .
I am currently studying nursing through Latrobe and am based at the Alfred hospital for my studies. Also a qualified builder and work part time when I am not at uni. Im originally from shepparton and during winter I am home most weekends to play footy. I am a tidy and respectable person who is easy to get along with.
34 yrs old Italian male. Australian P.R., living and working in Melbourne since 2013. I am working as a Chef and starting to study to upgrade my skills in the culinary field. Straight, clean, easy going, open minded peaceful person, non-smoker. Enjoy my own space and respect others's space. Fine with home cleaning and house duties. I like animals and they like me. I love healthy food and wine, Music (I've got a decent collection of Jazz and alternative music..) ,going to gigs, hanging out for dinner once a week and enjoy Melbourne's food scene. I enjoy reading, gym, walking to the beach, training outdoor, travelling when possible and relaxing at home off course . Keen to make new friends, cook and share a meal and have a vino together sometimes. Looking for a peaceful, clean and safe environment, possibly a furnished room in a not crowded house. Not a party house, in a nice location well connected to the City, possibly not far from the Ocean or in a green area of Melbourne or close to that. Thank you. Cheers, Michele
Hey, my name's Shane. I'm a 24 year old male from Darwin, NT, set to start work in late April as a Site Engineer in Melbourne. I've lived in Darwin my whole life so it might be a bit of an experience making the trek to the big city that is Melbourne. In my spare time I enjoy sports (if the body holds up), chilling out with some Netflix/games and the occasional beer or two. Hoping to find some social flatmates that enjoy similar interests.
I'm easygoing, relaxed and would love a chat with a beer from time to time. Always keep my room and specialy shared areas clean, wash the dishes after myself and usually sleep early and wake up early. Love a morning run before the day starts. I don't mind different cultures and orientations, keep my housemates privacy and expect the same from them. Currently looking for a great place to stay long term. Cheers
I'm a respectful person, engaged in a busy life, looking for a creative, quiet and peaceful sanctuary. I have a stable, long-term work situation and study part-time. I value my independence and currently enjoy living on my own, however now that I have gone back to uni this year, I need to adjust my living arrangements to suit my new lifestyle.
I am a primary school teacher, who loves to exercise and is generally quite quiet during the working week. Am up for fun and/or relaxing on weekends.
I'm very clean and tidy and very easy to get on with. I love meeting new people and I respect my flatmates space. I work fulltime in Melbourne CBD. Happy to answer any questions that you may have - thanks - Paul
Beautiful Victorian style house with private giant garden (plenty of free off-street parking!) and room for activities, 4 large bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry, spacious kitchen and living room. Fully furnished and set up except for your bedroom. (The girl who is leaving may leave some furniture if you want it though). You would have your own LARGE bedroom (3.6 x 5m!!!) with loads of space to run around! Good for one person, or perfect for a couple as well. Bills and rent paid monthly - bill split between us. Amazing location, 4 min walk to Balaclava station (only 300m away), trams and shops, including two supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, etc. Just to let you know, our current lease is ending on the 28th June, but then we are thinking of finding another place all together after that if you would still be interested.
